Princesses and princes were coming from miles away. And already the couple to be was having problems. Miroku shook he head at his stubborn friend in the god tree “Why don't you just tell her your sorry.” Inuyasha gritted his teeth. “for the last time, it…. Was… not….. my FAULT she hurt me and she put this corny looking necklace on me, this doesn't even match my outfit for the ball.” Miroku was through. “What ever Inuyasha, you're the one that has to propose to her tonight not me and I would hate for her to say no to me in front of all the royal guest. Your parents will be very disappointed in you and all of this” he gestured to all of the decorations and incoming guest, “will be for nothing”. Inuyasha saw his point and hunched his shoulders in defeat. Okay you win. Miroku who had already given up looked up with hope, “really?” he asked, a little shell-shocked. Inuyasha nodded. He jumped from his favorite tree down to Miroku and they started to search for Kagome

 

 

Kagome was having problems of her own. “Sango, I think I may have gone a little overboard. I know I hurt his ego badly and I know that he has a ton of it.” Sango waved her hand dismissively. “Inuyasha is tough. He'll get over it.” Kagome looked doubtfull. “He's supposed to be asking me to marry him. How can he do that if he won't speak to me?” Rin came into the room and said, “Well why don't you go to him and talk it out? Kagome looked at her strangely, “Who are you”? Rin's eyes went wide and she put her hand over her mouth. I'm sorry for listening in and just barging in unannounced and not introduced. “Hi Kagome I am Rin, wife to the brother of Inuyasha Takeshi Sesshomaru Takeshi. Then Kagome's eyes widened and her smile brighten. “It's nice to finally meet you. I met your husband at breakfast.” Rin spoke, “I saw you at breakfast too. You were just too angry to look up.” Kagome blushed “ I'm sorry for my behavior earlier today, I guess it's not very princess like huh”. Kagome's gaze was cast down she felt horrible. Rin rolled her eyes. No one but family saw, relax Kagome a princess only puts on a show in front of her public. You're not even married yet so, what's the rush. Kagome embarrassed waved her hands in front of her, “oh no rush, no rush at all” Kagome laughed nervously. Kagome and Rin shared a look. Sure, they both thought.

 

Sango nudged Kagome “oh come on girl, we know your excited about the whole thing,” Rin nodded “yeah I remember when me a Sess had our ball, It was so romantic, he held my hand and looked deeply into my eyes and whispered Rin Turner, would you do me the honor of becoming my wife, the mother of my children and my queen to rule by my side forever? Then her gave me the most mind-blowing kiss ” Rin was drifting off into her own little dream world. Then she woke up to Kagome and Sango waving their hands in front of her face. Rin blushed “Oh I sorry, It's the flash backs they were so… Sango stopped her before she drifted again.

 

 

Hey this is suppose to be about Kagome and Inuyasha. Not you and your husband. Rin just smiled brightly I am sorry jeez can't I reminisce. Of course you can, but. …Inuyasha busted in he looked directly to Kagome and said we need to talk and then left. Sango and Rin looked to Kagome “um, I think that's your queue to follow him, Rin said. Kagome got up and walked out. As soon as she took one step out of the door she felt arms encircle her and she was being kissed she open her eyes to make sure she was being attacked by the right person. After she saw his stormy amber eyes, she relaxed and put her arms around his neck. Kagome's response caused Inuyasha to deepen the kiss he was showering her with hard passionated kisses when they had to break for air. “Kagome…” he began, but she cut him off. “No I need to apologize first I was wrong for embarrassing you the way I did in front of your family. I didn't mean to make a scene. Kaede told me I was going to have to do it any way and since I was mad I made the choice to do it right then and there.”

 

Inuyasha was confused, “why would she want you to put this thing on me” He asked referring to the beaded necklace. She looked up at him because even though your half demon, you still have demon blood and you will be attracted to this.” She raised the necklace she had to show him the sacred jewel. He had to admit, when he first saw it he wanted it badly but he just put the thoughts out of his head. She continued, “it gives demons ten times as much power then what they already have and evil humans can have it.” “Did Kaede tell you that?” Inuyasha questioned. Kagome looked down. No my mother told me in a bedtime story. She never truly told me anything directly. She indirectly told me everything. Inuyasha nodded. Feh whatever. Let's not talk about your mother. Kagome nodded as though clearing her head, “yeah, you're right.”

 

Kagome just relished in inuyasha's embrace until they heard coo's and awww's coming from the door. They turned to see Rin Sango and Miroku peeking in. Inuyasha fumed at being caught going soft. He sneered, “go watch someone else, we aren't your entertainment”. Then he leapt off with Kagome in tow. Sango looked to the rest of the gang. “What's his problem?” everyone shrugged. Inuyasha glanced at Kagome and she seemed to be off somewhere else. He took them to the gardens, it was his favorite place to think. Inuyasha began to feel guilty, what if this was wrong? What if she really didn't want to be here? He would hate to propose to someone who didn't want to be with him forever, did he really want to be with her. The answer was right there in front of him. Of course his biggest question was, does she really want to spend the rest of her life with him? She was taken from her home against her knowledge, told that she was to marry a prince and she ran away from him. How was he so sure she wouldn't run away again, to get away from him? The thought caused his heart to ache. He never wanted to lose her again.

 

 

He heard a cough and looked at Kagome who was staring at him with an impatient look. “I thought you wanted to talk and yet you're spacing out”. Inuyasha feh'd “I was just thinking. Anyway to get to the point, Kagome do you really want to be with me or do you just want to run away again. Kagome looked hurt that he would even question her but he had a good reason to ask about it. “Inuyasha I don't know if what I feel for you is love yet but I know that a care about you deeply and I've become very comfortable here.” Inuyasha felt his heartstrings tug when she said “yet”. That meant that she hope to later develop love for him and he was more than eager to help her along the way.

 

 

Kagome began again “ now that you said what you wanted I have to speak my mind. How do I know that you like me for me and not the simple fact that I look like my mother.” Inuyasha balled up his fists at the second mention of Kikyo. You and her are nothing alike. She was a money hungry bitch who didn't know what love was, she hurt me in more ways then one and I would never even compare you two. Kagome felt bad that she let the question slip. She still couldn't imagine her mother being that way. When she was sweet and treated the village kids like they were her own. But the lady Inuyasha and her knew were indeed one in the same. How could she go from an evil bitch to a sweet loving housewife? The unanswered questions were giving her a headache. Inuyasha I think I need to rest my head hurts. He nodded in understanding. Okay Kagome get on my back. She did as told and Inuyasha sped to her room. The house was full of guest now Kagome had a good two hours to rest and then he would wake her up to get ready for the ball.

 

 

Inuyasha was so nervous. He didn't have any kind of speech prepared and he was horrible with words. He went to his room and started practicing his lines in the mirror. Miroku casually walked in as If it were his room. “What do you want Miroku”. Miroku looked slightly hurt, why do I have to need something just to talk to you. Inuyasha snorted, because you normally do. I came to help you because I know are nervous and have no clue what to say. Inuyasha looked shocked how could he know what was going on in his mind. Well no need to worry. The love guru is here to give you a few lessons in love. Inuyasha looked upward and said “lord help me”!!!!
