Chapter 10
Inuyasha had to calm her down, quick. There was no way he could leave her like this, crying her eyes out, but he wanted to go find Hojo. So he cradled her in his arms and rubbed her head until she slowly drifted to sleep. Once he was sure she was asleep, he tucked her in her bed and raced out the door to his car.
‘I’m gonna kill that sonofabitch! And Kagome . . . oh no, Kagome. He better not lay a finger on her,’ he thought, as he drove like he was in a scene from “The Fast and Furious” to Hojo’s house.
He went to Hojo’s house, but he wasn’t there. Inuyasha knew that he would probably be at Kagome’s if he wasn’t home, or at least he hoped he would be there. When he got to Kagome’s house, Souta answered the door.
“Hey Inuyasha, what’s up?”, Souta greeted Inuyasha cheerfully, with a glimmer of hope in his eyes. He really looked up to Inuyasha, so he was always excited to see him. Inuyasha would always come play the video game with Souta, whenever he would visit Kagome. Hojo never played the video game with him, but little did Souta know, Inuyasha didn’t come to play video games.
“Hey Souta. Is your sister here?” he asked impatiently, looking around the room, itching to get his hand on Hojo.
“Uh . . . yeah. She’s up stairs with Hojo,” he replied as Inuyasha ran past Souta, racing up the stairs, yelling and shouting Hojo’s name.
Just then Sango showed up to check on her friend and noticed Souta standing at the door, with the door still wide open, his face etched with disappointment.
“Hey Souta, what’s going on why are you standing at the door? And why do you look like you just lost your best friend?”, Sango looked around confused.
“I was letting Inuyasha in. He asked for Kagome, then he just . . . ,” Souta’s explanation was interrupted by Kagome’s screaming and Inuyasha’s yelling.
“Stay right here Souta. That can’t be good,” Sango said as she raced up the stairs to Kagome’s room to find a frantic, half-clothed Kagome crying and screaming for Inuyasha to stop. Inuyasha had Hojo pinned to the wall by his neck, slightly lifted off the ground. He was observably scared shitless, grabbing at Inuyasha’s hands trying to free himself from his relentless grip.
“Inuyasha, please stop! Your hurting him! What is wrong with you!? Why are you hurting Hojo!?”, Kagome cried.
“Kagome, put your shirt back on and go downstairs. I am going to beat the shit out of this fucking rapist bastard!”, Inuyasha growled, as slammed Hojo against the wall.
Kagome and Sango were totally confused. What in the world was he talking about?
“What are you talking about? Hojo hasn’t raped anyone. He’s been here with me since we got out of school. Inuyasha, you gotta let him go. Your gonna kill him! ,” Kagome, now shaken up and crying, holding her shirt up to cover herself. She was only in her bra and shorts. Sango ran over to her crying friend to comfort her.
“Inuyasha, why do you think Hojo raped someone? Who told you this?”, Sango asked still puzzled at the scene before her.
“Kikyo! This sick sonofabitch raped Kikyo, and now I’m gonna kill him! You hear that you twisted kusoyarou . . . I’m gonna kill you!”, Inuyasha addressed Hojo, who was grasping for air, trying to get his words out.
“Inuyasha, I think he’s trying to say something. Let him speak. Please let him go,” Kagome begged Inuyasha, still crying.
He looked at Kagome and Sango huddled in the corner scared and confused, before he hesitantly threw Hojo to the ground. He hated to see Kagome so upset.
“You better fucking talk while you can, cause I’m five seconds away from caving you face in,” Inuyasha growled. “Tell Kagome what you’ve done, you sick bastard!”
Hojo pulled himself up against the wall and sat there, rubbing his neck where Inuyasha held him, choking the life out of him. He could barely catch his breath.
“I . . . didn’t . . . rape her,” Hojo said, still not completely finding his voice.
“Bullshit! I was just over there. Her clothes were ripped off . . . she looked a mess and she said you did it!”, Inuyasha was furious, knowing he couldn’t tell them that he smelled Hojo all over her.
Hojo sighed, as he then took a deep breath before his explanation.
“I’m not sure how her clothes got all ripped up, but when I saw her she didn’t have anything on at all,” Hojo cringed, thinking this would surely make Inuyasha attack him.
Sure enough, Inuyasha lunged at Hojo, ready to attack but Kagome ran out in front of him.
“No Inuyasha, let him explain,” Kagome stood in front on Inuyasha, looking into his eyes. They were full of fury and hate, but she knew she had to get to the bottom of this and calm Inuyasha down in the process or he might do something that he couldn’t take back.
With Kagome standing in front of him, with the look of fear and confusion in her eyes, and the smell of it in her scent, Inuyasha took the time to address her. He had to calm her and reassure her. He didn’t want her to be afraid, because he was there to protect her, not hurt her. He gently grasped her arms, pulling her closer to him. Then he gave her a once over, to make sure she wasn’t hurt and looked into her eyes.
“Kagome, are ‘you’ ok? Did he hurt you? Was he forcing you?”, Inuyasha asked her calmly, hoping that Hojo hadn’t done anything to hurt her.
“I’m fine, Inuyasha. He wasn’t forcing me. But I need him to explain what he just said. He said that the last time he saw Kikyo, she wasn’t wearing anything at all.”
“Yeah. Why did you say that Hojo? Were you at Kikyo’s today?” Sango asked, also catching what he said.
“Yes, I was at Kikyo’s today. But I swear, I didn’t force her. Yes, we had sex, but she totally came on to me. She asked me for help with a last minute assignment. She said she had to finish it or she wasn’t going to graduate, so I went home with her after 1st period. I couldn’t believe that she asked ‘me’ to help her. I didn’t really need to go to any of my classes, and I figured I could get back in time to walk home with Kagome and Sango. We got to her house and we went to her room to work. I was helping her like she asked and she said she had to go to the bathroom. Next thing I know, she comes out the bathroom with nothing on and she’s all over me. I was trying to stop her at first, but I couldn’t help myself. I secretly had a crush on Kikyo, before I started going out with Kagome. So this was my dream come true. I’ve wanted to ask her out before, but I just knew she would shoot me down. She’s the most popular girl at school and then I heard about her rich college boyfriend. After that, I just declared defeat. But then this opportunity presented itself and I couldn’t resist. She wanted ‘me’ . . . she told me so. I asked her, ‘what about Inuyasha?’, and she said she only wanted me. Then after it happened, I thought about Kagome. I felt so bad. I left and went back to school to wait for Kagome’s last class, but I saw her at the restaurant with Sango, so I meet them there and I came home with Kagome. I’m so sorry Kagome. I didn’t want to hurt you,” he said holding his head down ashamed and reaching out for Kagome, but she pulled away.
“Don’t even think about touching her again,” Inuyasha pulled Kagome back away from Hojo grasp.
“So are you saying that Kikyo lied. You didn’t rape her. It was consensual?”, Sango asked as Kagome started to cry again. This time Inuyasha put his arms around her to hold her.
“Yes . . . I’m sorry Kagome. Please forgive me. I don’t love her. I love you. It didn’t mean anything.”
“Kutabare, Hojo! You had sex with ‘her’, and then you tried to come and have sex with ‘me’? How dare you! How could you say it didn’t mean anything, when you secretly wanted to be with her in the first place? I was gonna give myself to you,” as she cried, her legs got weak and gave out. Inuyasha was holding her, so he held her up and walked her to her bed to sit.
“I’m such a baka. I thought you loved me, but you don’t. I was actually feeling sorry for you and then you go and fuck Kikyo. Now I don’t feel as bad about what ‘I’ did. She used you to get to me, I hope you know that. She wanted to see me hurt. I hope it was worth it. I’m going to be honest with you Hojo . . . I kissed Inuyasha, but I couldn’t let it go any further, because I cared for you too much to let anything more happen. And for you to tell me you slept with Kikyo, because you’ve always wanted her, just makes me think you never wanted me to begin with. Maybe the only reason you were with me was so I could be your Kikyo substitute. Only I’m not Kikyo. You may think I look like her, but I am nothing like her. I guess you finally figured that out. I just wish I had known this from the start.”
“Kagome, do you really believe his story?”, Inuyasha asked her. If Kagome believed what he told them, then Kikyo was worse than Inuyasha thought. Kikyo had actually led him to believe that she was raped, but in reality, this was her plan all along just to hurt Kagome.
“Yes, I think Kikyo set this up to get back at me. Hojo may have slept with her, but I don’t believe he raped her. I’m so sorry she did this to you Inuyasha,” Kagome gave her honest opinion to Inuyasha, embracing him to comfort the blow of what Kikyo had done.
“Well then there is no need to rush back over there. I’ll get to the bottom of that later. I can’t believe she would do this to you . . . to me. Right now, I just wanna make sure that your ok Kagome,” he said cupping her face, staring into her eyes.
“I’ll be fine if you and Sango stay here with me.”
“Then it settled . . . I’m staying right here,” Inuyasha answered, watching Hojo trying to crawl out of the room from the corner of his eye.
Inuyasha quickly caught him by the neck again.
“Oh, not so fast. I’m not finished with you yet. I don’t ever want to see you face around here again. Stay . . . away . . . from . . . Kagome, got it! Oh yeah, and if I find out that you did force Kikyo, you’re good as dead,” he said as he applied more pressure and caused Hojo to choke violently, before dropping him to the floor.
Hojo jumped up to his feet and ran out of the room and out of the house.
Sango helped Kagome put her shirt back on as she continued to whimper. Kagome was still hurt. She knew she wasn’t innocent in this situation, but she would have never slept with Inuyasha while she was with Hojo. Here she was trying to be faithful to Hojo, because she didn’t want to hurt him, and he turns around and hurt her instead. Even though her feelings were changing about Hojo, she still cared about him.
Inuyasha and Sango helped Kagome to the bed and calmed her down. Kagome laid there, being comforted by her best friends, until she fell asleep.

They were up in her room for hours and it was finally quiet. Souta didn’t know what to do, so he stayed in his room until his mom showed up. Mrs. Hiragashi walked through the door after a couple of hours.
“Kagome . . . Souta, I’m home,” Mrs. Hiragashi called out from the front door.
Souta came running down the stairs to hug his mom.
“Hey mom, what’s for dinner?”
“Well hello to you to. Hey, where’s your sister?”
“She’s upstairs with Sango and Inuyasha. They haven’t come out since Hojo left. I don’t know what happened, but there was a lot of screaming and shouting. And I think I heard Kagome crying. But once Hojo left, and boy did he leave quick, it got really quiet. I was going to go check on them, but I didn’t want Kagome and Sango chasing me around the house, telling me to mind my business.”
“Well I’m going to see what’s going on,” Mrs. Hiragashi said as she walked up the stair to Kagome’s bedroom. She knocked on the door, but no one answered. She slowly open the door to find Kagome and Sango asleep on the bed, with Inuyasha sitting with his legs crossed, on the floor next to the bed. Inuyasha heard Mrs. Hiragashi open the door, and opened his eyes.
“Oh, hello Mrs. Hiragashi,” Inuyasha said, slowly lifting off of the floor to stretch.
“Hello, Inuyasha. Can you tell me what went on today? Souta said there was a ruckus up here and that Hojo went running out of here today. And now I find you all up here asleep. What’s going on?”, she asked waiting for an explanation.
“Well, I think the girls should be up to help me explain what happened since they were involved as well. I’ll wake them and then we’ll come down and explain,” Inuyasha reassured Mrs. Hiragashi.
“Ok, well wake the girls and let them that dinner will be ready in about an hour,” she said leaving out of the room to go downstairs to start dinner.
Inuyasha walked to the bed to look at the sleeping girls. He looked down on a sleeping Kagome and thought to himself.
‘She’s even more beautiful when she’s asleep. I don’t want to wake her. She had a really bad day.’
He reached down to push some stray strands of hair away from her face. Then he looked at Sango and reached over to nudge her.
“Hey Sango, wake up,” he whispered so he wouldn’t wake Kagome.
Sango slowly opened her eyes to see Inuyasha looking over at her. She slowly let go of Kagome and sat up on the bed.
“What time is it?”, she whispered back to Inuyasha.
He looked at his watch and answered her.
“It’s 6:30.”
“I’ve been asleep that long? Why didn’t you wake me?”
“Cause I fell asleep too, duh. I didn’t wake up until I heard Mrs. H come in the room. We were all asleep. I woke up and she asked me what happened because Souta told her about the noise and the fact that Hojo ran out of here so fast. I told her we would explain once everyone was up.”
“Wow. She didn’t freak out when she found you in the bed with us?”
“I wasn’t in the bed. I was sitting next to the bed.”
“You fell asleep like that? You’re so weird Inuyasha,” she giggled.
“Whatever. Anyway, should we wake Kagome? I was thinking we should just let her sleep.”
“No. Let her sleep a little longer. She’s had an exhausting day. I’m going to go see if Mrs. H needs any help with dinner,” Sango said, as she got up to walk out the room.
“ Kagome, I’m so sorry this happened to you,” Inuyasha whispered looking up at the ceiling.
“It’s not your fault Inuyasha. Why are you sorry?”, she replied half asleep.
“Kagome, I thought you were asleep. Did I wake you? ,” Inuyasha said, surprised, thinking he woke Kagome.
“No, I was getting up when I heard you talking. Where’s Sango?”
“She went to go see if your mom needed help with dinner.”
“My mom’s home?”
“Yeah, she came up stairs while we were asleep.”
“Everybody was asleep? In my . . . bed?”
“I wasn’t in the bed, I was on the floor,” Inuyasha answered, knowing she was worried about what her mom saw when she came in.
Just then Sango walked in the room.
“Inuyasha, I told you not to wake her,” Sango scolded.
“I didn’t wake her wench, she woke up on her own,” Inuyasha replied, crossing his arms.
“Oh, I’m sorry Inuyasha.”
“Keh, It’s ok. I wouldn’t wake her on purpose. I know she had a bad day.”
“Hello. I’m right here. Would you two please stop talking about me like I’m the same room,” Kagome interrupted.
Just then Sango’s cell phone rang.
“Hello . . . yea . . . mom I know. I’m sorry. I had an emergency. Ok . . . I’ll be there in a minute,” Sango said, as she closed the phone and sighed.
“Guys, I gotta go. Inuyasha are you gonna stay with Kagome for a little while longer?”
“I don’t need a babysitter. I’m a big girl. I’m fine now,” Kagome replied.
“It’s ok. I don’t mind staying. I want to. If that’s ok with you Kagome?”
“As long as you know that I ‘am’ ok now.”
“Fine. I just want to keep you company,” Inuyasha smiled at her. Kagome smiled back.
“Well, I’m sorry that I have to leave before you explain things to your mom,” Sango addressed Kagome.
“That’s ok. It didn’t have anything to do with you anyway. You just happened to be a witness to what happened. I think I can explain everything to my mother myself. I’m just glad you showed up when you did. Thank you,” Kagome smiled at her friend.
Sango smiled and gave Kagome a big hug and whispered, “Anytime.”
Sango waved by to Inuyasha and left to go home.
____________________________________________________________ _________________________________________
“So do you wanna talk about what happened?” Inuyasha asked Kagome.
“No, not right now. I think I should go talk to my mom though. I’ll be right back,” Kagome answered getting up to go talk to her mom.
Inuyasha nodded his head and watched Kagome leave the room to head to the kitchen.
Kagome went and told her mom the whole story. She and her mom had an open relationship and she always told her mom everything. Her mom couldn’t believe how much Kikyo had changed since the girls were younger. And she couldn’t believe that Hojo would do something like that to her daughter. Mrs. Hiragashi always thought that Hojo was a sweet, young man that loved Kagome very much. I guess they were both fooled. And she was glad that Inuyasha and Sango showed up when they did. Her daughter would have lost her virginity and been truly hurt to find out that only hours before, Hojo slept with Kikyo. Inuyasha was surprising Mrs. Hiragashi every time he came around. She wasn’t sure, but she thought that maybe there was more than friendship growing between Inuyasha and Kagome.
After 15 minutes, Kagome came back upstairs to check on Inuyasha. He was sitting on the bed, holding his head.
“Are you ok, Inuyasha?”
“I have a little headache. Plus, Kikyo keeps calling me, but I’m not ready to talk to her right now. So I turned off my cell phone.”
“If you need to go talk to her, then go ahead I told you, I’m fine.”
“I really don’t feel like talking to her right now. I think I should wait til I calm down some more. Besides, I told you I want to stay with you right now.”
“Well I think I’m gonna go help my mom with dinner. You could come down and watch tv if you want,” Kagome suggested.
“I think I’ll go play the game with Souta. I think he was kinda looking forward to me playing when I first came over.”
“Ok, I’ll come get you when dinner is ready.”
When dinner was ready, they all ate dinner together. After dinner, Souta went to his room and Inuyasha and Kagome stayed behind to help clear the table.
“No . . . you two go relax. I’ve got it,” Mrs. Hiragashi insisted on cleaning the kitchen herself.
“So, do you wanna watch a movie?” Kagome asked Inuyasha.
“Sure.”
Kagome and Inuyasha sat on the couch and watched “The Wedding Crashers.”
Mrs. Hiragashi watched the two on the couch, laughing and enjoying each others company as she was finishing in the kitchen.
‘They seem so happy when they are together. I’ve never seen Kagome so happy and comfortable when she was with Hojo. I wonder about those two,’ Mrs. Hiragashi laughed to herself as she left the kitchen to head to the room.
Inuyasha and Kagome were just finishing up a “tickle war” that they started while debating on which part of the movie is the funniest. They settled back on the couch to catch their breath.
“Arigato Inuyasha . . . you know, for staying here with me and keeping me company. I know I said I was ok, but it’s still a little hard to believe what happened. I’m just trying to keep my mind off of it, you know. You’re helping me do that.”
Inuyasha reached out to hold one of Kagome’s hands.
“Kagome, I know I haven’t known you long, but . . .” Inuyasha hesitated. He wasn’t sure if this was the right time to really tell her how he felt. ‘I would probably send her over the edge if I tell her my secret and how I feel about her, on top of what happened today. I think I should just wait.’
“Kagome, you are one of my closest friends. You, Sango, Miroku, Kouga, and Shippo are my only real friends. Other people I know are really just acquaintances. I never know if they are being themselves. And I hate that Hojo and Kikyo hurt you like that. I just want to see you happy,” Inuyasha said smiling.
Kagome smiled back and leaned over to kiss him on the cheek before laying her head in his lap, much to Inuyasha’s surprise. Inuyasha held his hands back, allowing Kagome to get comfortable. Once she was settled in his lap, he lifted one hand to gentle brush the hair out of her face and combed through it with his fingers as they continued to watch the movie. Kagome didn’t bring it up, but she wondered why he avoided her after “the kiss.” She figured it didn’t really matter now that they seemed to be ok again. Things were back to normal, for them anyway. And his friendship meant everything to her. She wasn’t going to mess that up again.
___________________________________________________________ __________________________________________
Mrs. Hiragashi woke up and went downstairs to fix breakfast as usual. When she got to the bottom of the stairs, she was shocked to see a sleeping Kagome and Inuyasha snuggled on the couch. The tv was still on and the movie must have been playing over and over through the night. Inuyasha was laying on his back, with on of his arms behind his head and the other wrapped around Kagome. Kagome was laying on her side, her head resting on his chest and one of her arms laying across him. You would figure that this display would have Mrs. Hiragashi outraged, but she actually thought the whole scene was adorable. It reminded her of when she and Mr. Hiragashi were dating. ‘How kawaii, they fell asleep watching the movie’, she thought, as she put her hand to her mouth to stop her giggle from escaping.
Usually Inuyasha would have heard Mrs. Hiragashi, but he didn’t stir. Maybe it was the fact that he was so comfortable and content laying there with Kagome. Mrs. Hiragashi hated to wake them, but reached over to gently shake them awake.
“Wake up sleepy heads,” she laughed, in a sing song sort of way.
They slowly woke up, stretching and yawning until it finally dawned on them that they weren’t in their beds, and still on the couch, and had fell asleep together. Not only that, but Mrs. Hiragashi had woke them up and was standing right in front of them.
“Good morning,” Mrs. Hiragashi smirked with that “your busted” look on her face.
“Ah . . . good morning, Mrs. H . . . um I, I’m sorry I think I fell asleep,” Inuyasha replied nervously, letting go of Kagome and nudging her to get up.
Kagome shot up so quick that she rolled off Inuyasha and fell on the floor. Mrs. Hiragashi just burst out in laughter at the sight of her daughter on the floor.
Kagome was confused. ‘Shit, this can’t be good. Why is she laughing? I think she’s gone mad! ,’ Kagome thought as she lifted herself slowly off the ground.
“Mom, I can explain. We were . . .” Kagome tried to explain before her mom cut her off.
“It’s ok sweetheart. Maybe you two should just limit your movie time when you’re both so tired so this doesn’t happen again.”
“Right . . . of course,” Kagome replied.
“Oh and Kagome, you might want to go and get dressed. It is your last day of school.”
“Oh crap, it is the last day of school isn’t it. I gotta get ready,” Kagome said as she jumped up and ran upstairs to get ready.
“Inuyasha, will you be staying for breakfast?” Mrs. Hiragashi asked.
“If that’s ok with you Mrs. H. I think I’m going to give Kagome and Sango a ride to school today. I don’t want Hojo to think he can approach them after what he did.”
“Well that certainly makes me feel much better. I’m glad that Kagome has such a good friend.”
“Keh.”
Kagome came down and they ate breakfast and were ready to go get Sango. When they reached Sango’s house, they saw Sango at the door arguing with Hojo. He was trying to convince Sango to talk to Kagome for him and help him get her back, but Sango was not cooperating. Inuyasha saw Hojo and was instantly out of the car, pinning Hojo to the ground.
“No Inuyasha, don’t hurt him! He’s not worth it! ,” Kagome pleaded, running from the car. She could care less about him actually getting hurt. She was more concerned with Inuyasha getting into trouble. Inuyasha looked at her and started to calm down, but he wasn’t letting him up just yet.
“I thought I told you to stay away!” Inuyasha growled at Hojo.
“Hey did you just growl at me?” Hojo asked.
“Don’t you think that’s the least of your problems right now? I told you to stay away!”
“You . . . told me . . . to stay away from . . . K . . . k . . . Kagome,” Hojo shuddered in fear.
“Oh you’re a smart ass huh? You know what the fuck I meant. Let me clarify then, one more time, since you are too slow to figure it out. Stay away from Kagome. Stay away from Sango. Stay away from any woman I have every met. If that means the cashier at the grocery store to the waitress at my favorite restaurant, so be it. Kikyo is debatable. I haven’t had a chance to confront her about her part in this, but I am sure when I’m finished talking to her you will both be in the same boat. You two fucking deserve each other. As long as you know that you ‘definitely’ stay away from Kagome and Sango, then you should live a long life. But don’t cross me again, because not even Kagome will be able to save you,” Inuyasha spoke slowly, gritting his teeth, to get his point across as he slowly lifted off of Hojo.
Hojo got up and quickly ran away.
“Thanks Yasha,” Sango sighed in relief that he was finally gone.
“No problem, besides I don’t Miroku on my back because I let ‘Hobo’ harass you.”
“Hopefully since school is over, he won’t be bothering us again,” Kagome said.
“Well I don’t think he’ll be back after today. Let’s get you girls to school.”
They were walking to the car when Sango noticed that Inuyasha was wearing the same clothes he had on yesterday. Kagome saw the funny expression on Sango’s face and knew she had something to say.
“So Inuyasha, how did you end up as our escort to school this morning?” Sango asked with a smile.
“I just figured he would try to pull something, so I figured it would be best if I took you to school today, why?” Inuyasha asked wondering what Sango was getting at.
Sango looked Inuyasha up and down before he got into the car, followed by Kagome riding shotgun and Sango in the back seat. Sango sat for a second trying to hold in her giggle.
Inuyasha and Kagome were both looking back at Sango, waiting for her answer.
“What’s up, Sango? Why are you looking at Inuyasha so strangely?” Kagome asked with a confused look.
“Well maybe it’s because he’s wearing the same thing he had on yesterday when I saw him,” Sango said with a smirk, as she raised an eyebrow.
“Oh no, Sango . . . it’s not what you think. I mean . . . we’re just friend . . . uh . . .” Kagome tried to explain, feeling the blush spreading across her face.
“Miroku is such a bad influence on you Sango. You should be ashamed of yourself. Last night, we were watching a movie and fell asleep on the couch. I was already here, so I decided to just stay and take you two to school. I didn’t have time to go home and change.”
“So, you did stay at Kagome’s last night,” Sango still smiling.
“Yes, but like I said, we just fell asleep watching tv. And I wasn’t just gonna leave this morning while that asshole ‘Hobo’ is trying to get to Kagome. After what he did to her, I’m not letting either one of you out of my sight.”
“Oh, Inuyasha, that’s so sweet,” Sango said as if she was talking to a baby, as she squeezed one of his cheeks.
Kagome giggled at the face Inuyasha gave Sango. You could tell he was irritated.
“Oi wench, cut that out. Miroku would do the same thing. Hey, have you talked to Miroku?”
“No . . . not since yesterday before I came over to Kagome’s house. Then when I got home my mom kinda threw me off with the errands we had to run last night. When I got home, I just crashed,” Sango replied.
“Well I guess I better tell him what happened yesterday. I’ll be back to pick you guys up when you get out of school. Just call me when you’re finished. Don’t leave the school without me,” he demanded pulling up in front of the school.
“Yes father,” Sango said sarcastically.
“He’s just looking out for us Sango. Thank you, Inuyasha,” Kagome said as she smiled at Inuyasha, before she hopped out of the car. He smiled back at her and waved bye to her as she closed the door and he drove off. Sango just looked up in the sky and rolled her eyes. Once they were in the school they went to their lockers to empty them. They only had a few things left and they didn’t want to worry about going back to the lockers when it was time to leave.
“So Kagome, what’s up with you and Inuyasha?” Sango asked.
