Chapter 16
Kagome woke up early Saturday morning so excited about her day with Inuyasha. She had no idea what he had plan but it really didn’t matter to her. This was her first real date with Inuyasha. And after weeks of being cooped up in the hospital, she couldn’t wait to get out and enjoy herself. Sango was obviously just as excited as Kagome was because Sango was the cause of her being up so early in the first place. Kagome was laying in her bed, half asleep, when suddenly her cell phone rang. She jumped up quickly, eyes still closed as she reached on her night stand fumbling around for her phone.
“Hello . . . ” she said softly with a yawn.
“Oh good you’re up. Soooo, what do you have planned with Inuyasha today?” Kagome could imagine her friend’s goofy grin through the phone.
“Wow, I guess good news travel fast. Oh, now I see . . . Miroku told you something didn’t he?” Kagome rubbed her eyes trying to focus on the clock on the night stand.
“Yeah, he told me last night. So, do you know where he’s taking you?” Sango said excitedly.
“No, actually I don’t know. It’s supposed to be a surprise. Do you realize that it’s six in the morning Sango?” Kagome finally getting a good look at the clock, laying her head back on her pillow.
“Yeah, I know. I’m sorry. I guess I couldn’t really sleep” Sango blushed and though Kagome couldn’t actually see her, she knew she was.
“Thinking about Miroku I take it?”
“I really love him you know. We even talked about moving in together.”
“Really, that’s great news. I’m so happy for you guys.”
“But I told him I wasn’t sure because we were supposed to be moving in together for school.”
“Oh Sango, I’ll be fine. I think it’s wonderful that you two are moving in together. You’re practically there all the time anyway. And don’t worry about Inuyasha, I’ll keep him out of the way” Kagome giggled and smiled to herself.
“You’re really like the best friend ever. I’m so glad you understand.”
“No problem, I kind of figured that it might happen this way so I was prepared.”
“What do you mean you we’re prepared?”
“Well my cousin said she was coming here to go to school, so I think she’s gonna be my roommate.”
“Oh I didn’t know she was moving here. That’s gonna be so cool to have here her and catch up on things. I haven’t seen her in so long. It will be good to see her.”
“Yeah, she should be here in the next couple of days . . . well at least that what she told me anyway.”
“Ok. Well I guess I better let you go so you can get ready for your big day and all” Sango giggled.
“The only thing I’m going to do this early is hang up and get another hour of sleep” Kagome whined.
“Ok, you do that and I’ll talk to you later on tonight to see how your date went ok?”
“Well I know that I can’t say no, so I’ll talk to you then.”
“Have fun today . . . bye.”
“Bye.” Kagome closed her phone, dropping it on the bed, slowly drifting back to sleep.

About two hours later, Kagome was yet again awakened by the ringing of her cell phone. She whined as felt around in the bed to stop the music of her ringtone.
“Hello” she answered half asleep.
“Well good morning beautiful . . . this is your wake up call” Inuyasha chuckled.
Kagome perked up a bit. “Inuyasha . . . ”
“Yep, I’ll be there in like an hour. I hope that’s enough time for you to get ready?”
He figured he’d ask since his experience with Kikyo had never been good when it came to being ready.
“That’s plenty of time. I’ll be ready. It would be nice to know what we were doing today” Kagome pouted even though she knew he couldn’t see it.
“Don’t worry, whatever you wear will be fine. So I’ll see in an hour ok?”
“Ok . . . bye”
“Later”
Kagome was so excited and wanted everything to be perfect for her date. She jumped out of her bed and ran straight to the closet to pick out something to wear. She knew Inuyasha’s favorite color was red so she had her mind made up that whatever she wore would be that color. Kagome quickly picked out her outfit and laid it out on the bed before heading to the bathroom to take a shower. Once she was done in the shower she quickly got dressed and stood in front of her mirror debating on whether she wanted to wear her hair pinned up or down. She was undecided so she opted for a simple ponytail with a couple of loose tendrils hanging in the front and back. Kagome was working on her finishing touches when she heard the doorbell ring. She quickly looked at her watch and noticed it was only 8:45.
‘Wow, he’s early’ she thought as she hurried to finish.
Downstairs, her mom and Souta were sitting in the kitchen. Souta was just finishing up his breakfast when he heard the door bell.
“I’ll get it!” he shouted excitedly as if he was expecting company, rushing over to the door. “Who is it?” he asked as stood on his tippy toes to look through the peep hole. The expression on Souta’s face went from happy to ecstatic as he quickly swung the door open not waiting for a response. “Inuyasha!!” Souta shouted wide-eyed with excitement.
“Heya squirt” Inuyasha smiled and chuckled as he playfully ruffled Souta’s hair to mess it slightly as he walked in the door.
“Good morning Mrs. Hiragashi” he waved to Kagome’s mom from the livingroom.
“Good morning Inuyasha” Mrs. Hiragashi greeted him with a warm smile. “So, you’re up and about early. I take it you and Kagome have big plans for today?”
“Well yeah . . . I figure she deserves something really special with all she’s been through. Besides we’ve got about a month of dating to make up for” he smiled at Mrs. Hiragashi before plopping down on the couch.
Mrs. Hiragashi just smiled and continued to clean the kitchen.
“So Souta . . . whatcha got planned for today?”
“Well I’ve got Soccer practice in about and hour and after I was thinking of going to Kohaku’s. He’s got the Nintendo Wii. It’s totally cool. Hey, are you going to come to my Soccer tournament in two weeks?” the boy replied quickly yet cheerfully.
“Of course I’ll be there. I wouldn’t miss it for the world” Inuyasha relaxed against the back of the couch closing his eyes.
“I’m sorry I didn’t mean to keep you waiting” he heard the voice so sweet speak softly, not even realizing she had come down the stairs.
“No it’s ok. I was early so I didn’t mind waiting. Beside, me and Souta were . . . ” he stopped mid-sentence as he raised his head and his eyes opened slowly to fall upon Kagome.
“What? Do I have something on my dress?” Kagome asked examining herself.
“No . . . I’m sorry I didn’t mean to stare. There’s nothing wrong with your dress . . . it’s fine and you’re just . . . you’re beautiful” he reassured her as he fumbled a bit making his way to his feet to stand in front of her.
“Thank you Inuyasha. That’s very sweet of you to say” she blushed slightly.
“Well it’s the truth” he looked her over with a smirk. “Actually your smoking hot but I thought beautiful was more appropriate.”
“Good call” Kagome giggled blushing even more.
Kagome was wearing a red dress, the thin straps barely staying up on her shoulders. It fitted her curves well and the thought of how it fitted her body made Inuyasha a bit flushed, that and the thought of how her pale skin would feel under his touch. Now on top of feeling like someone had just turned the thermostat up, it’s seemed that there was something ‘up’ in his pants as well. He quickly shook that thought out of his head trying to regain control of the situation before it got uncomfortably embarrassing. The dress hugged her nicely at the top and tapered as it got to the bottom flaring out coming right above her knee. On her feet were some flat red sandals with little rhinestones and gems that made them stand out. Inuyasha was more than ready to get on with their date.
“So, you ready to get going?” He reached out for her hand.
“Yes . . . more than anything” she smiled and she took his hand.
Souta rolled his eyes and sighed. “Yeah hurry up and leave already. All this mushy stuff is gonna make me sick” he said making a face and holding his stomach pretending to be sick.
Kagome playfully stuck out her tongue at him before looking into the kitchen waving at her mom. “Bye mom. I’ll be back later.”
“Bye dear, you guys have fun” her mother waved back.
“Bye Mrs. Hiragashi. Later squirt” he rubbed Souta’s head messing his hair again before walking out of the door with Kagome in hand.
“So, is it ok to ask where you are taking me know, or is this still a top secret mission?” she said playfully before giggling.
“You’ll find out soon enough. We’re almost at the first place I’m taking you.”
“The first place? So you’re telling me you’ve got more than one place to take me today?”
“Yep, like I told your mom . . . I’ve gotta lot of making up to do. We’ve been together for almost a month and this is our first date” Inuyasha stated matter-of-factly.
“You know, I hadn’t thought about it . . . but you’re actually right.”
“So that’s why this date is going to be extra special” he looked at her with a smile before looking back at the road. “Well we’re here” Inuyasha said pulling into a parking lot.
After he parked the car, he got out and walked over to the passenger side to open the door for Kagome. Kagome smiled as she got out taking his hand.
“Where are we?” Kagome took a quick look around at her surrounding. They were standing outside this commercial building but from the outside she couldn’t really tell what the building was used for. It actually looked as though it was vacant.
“Well Sango told me that you really love to do this, so . . . ” Inuyasha replied as he continued to walking them closer to the building.
Kagome let go of his hand and just stood there with a puzzled look. “She told you that I like to go to abandoned buildings?”
“No . . . just come on would you. I thought you trusted me?” he chuckled and smiled at her confused state.
“Of course I trust you” she answered.
“Well then come on and let me show you what’s inside” he smiled at her as he took her hand again walking her right up to the front door pausing. “Ok, now close your eyes.”
Kagome gave him an unsure look but smiled. “I don’t know. What if you run me into a wall or something?” she smirked.
“Now why would I go do something like that? Just close them already and I’ll help you inside” Inuyasha chuckled.
“Fine” Kagome sighed and closed her eyes.
“I promise you won’t be disappointed” he smiled as he wrapped his arms around her waist gently guiding her into the building.
Once they got inside Kagome could tell that it had gotten considerably colder than it was outside. “Hey . . . why is it so cold in here?” she asked wrapping her arms around herself.
“Don’t worry you’ll see in a few seconds and no peeking.”
“Ok, ok . . . I’m not going to peek.”
“Good because we’re almost there.”
After helping Kagome down a few steps Inuyasha stopped. “Ok, you can open them now.”
Kagome opened her eyes and couldn’t believe what she saw. She was speechless as she took a moment to let everything sink in. “Oh my goodness! Inuyasha, how did you know?” She never remembered telling Inuyasha about this particular thing. She really hadn’t thought about it since she was a child.
“Well I told you that I got some help from Sango. I was just talking to her asking her about what you guys were like when you were younger and she told me about this. You like it right?”
“Oh Inuyasha, I love it!” she quickly wrapped her arms around him holding him tightly.
“I’m glad you like it” he smiles and wraps his arms around her in return.
“This is so amazing...but wait, I’m not even dressed for this.”
“Don’t worry, I’ve already taken care of that to” Inuyasha motioned to a duffle bag sitting on a metal bench near by.
Kagome jumped up and down excitedly before quickly kissing him on the cheek and running over to the bench opening the bag to find the appropriate footwear and attire inside. Inuyasha just smiled and casually pointed in the direction of the restroom knowing she wanted to change. After a few minutes she came out all changed into the contents of the duffle bag.
“Wow . . . Kagome, you look amazing . . . like a snow angel” Inuyasha said with a huge grin as he took her hand to slowly turn her around getting a better look.
“I do not . . . ” Kagome blushed.
“Well. What are you waiting for? Go out there and show me whatcha got” he smirked.
Kagome didn’t need anymore coaxing as she carefully walked across the linoleum floor on her skates. As the blades hit the ice she glided across gracefully as she slowly picked up speed. Once she got back use to being on the smooth rink of ice she didn’t hesitate to show off some of her moves in her white velvet skating dress. The neckline with sequin and shiny silver and white beads and spaghetti straps that crossed in the back. The white chiffon skirt gently flapped in the wind as she picked up speed stroking around the ring twice, once forward and once backwards. Inuyasha just watched her contently from out side the rink as she made her way around. She did a few crossovers and edges before working her way into some Mohawks and turns. Inuyasha could have sworn she did this professionally the way she made it look so easy. Kagome smiled as she skated, out there in her own little world, until she realized that Inuyasha wasn’t out there with her. She skated over to the side of the rink where Inuyasha was watching.
“Inuyasha, aren’t you going to join me?”
“I would if I could, but the truth is I don’t know how to ice skate. Besides, I didn’t bring skates for myself, but maybe some other time you can teach me” Inuyasha gave her that smirk of his. “This was all about you Kagome . . . just enjoy yourself.”
Kagome smiled and leaned over the wall of the rink to wrap her arms around his neck pulling him closer to her. “Thank you so much Inuyasha. This is the sweetest, most thoughtful gift anyone has ever given me” she said as she leaned in closer to kiss him softly on the lips before pulling back and gliding back off across the rink.
After a little more skating Kagome came out of the rink and went to change back into her dress. She walked back over to Inuyasha and could tell by the look in his eyes that he was definitely up to something. She glared at him but he just smirked.
“What are you up to Mr. Takahashi?”
“Who me?” Inuyasha said innocently. “I’m not up to anything.”
“Oh Inuyasha, this was more than enough. You didn’t have to go and plan more for us to do.”
“Keh, it’s nothing major . . . just figured you might be hungry.”
“Well yeah . . . I guess I am a little seeing as I didn’t get to eat breakfast” she giggled pushing a few loose strands of hair behind her ear.
“Well don’t worry. I’m going to take you to eat now” Inuyasha smiled reaching for her hand taking her back to the car.

After a quiet, thirty minute drive, they pulled up to a gated entrance. Inuyasha typed in his personal key code on the keypad and the gates opened allowing him to proceed down the drive way. Kagome admired the grounds as she peered out the car window. The big beautiful trees and lush green grass were nothing compared to the large exquisite fountain in the courtyard right in front of the large estate.
“Well this is it” Inuyasha said as he hopped out the car opening the car door for Kagome to exit. She was still in awe of how beautiful everything was.
“Wow Inuyasha, this is were you live?” Kagome looked around carefully taking it all in.
“Well I spend more time at Miroku’s as you already know, but yeah, this is where I really live.”
“Inuyasha your house is . . . wow” Kagome said as she looked around wide-eyed.
“Well let me give you a proper tour” he took her hand in his gently and led her through the front door.
They stepped over the threshold onto the marble floor of the foyer. Kagome looked up and noticed the sparkling crystals of the chandelier as the sunlight from the stain glass window shone through them. Inuyasha walked up to the small mahogany table placing his keys in the decorative dish on the table.
“Well this is the Grand Foyer or at least that’s what Sesshy calls it.”
“It’s really big and really beautiful” Kagome looked around the large space. “Hey, where is Sesshomaru anyway?”
“Oh he’s out of town on business with my uncle Myoga, so I’ve got the house to myself” Inuyasha leaned against the railing of the grand staircase in the foyer.
“So is it always like this . . . you at home all alone?”
“You make it sound like I’m a little boy being left home with no one to play with” he chuckled. “It really isn’t that bad, besides it’s not like this all the time, trust me, I wish it was and I’m at Miroku’s most of the time anyway. Do you wanna know the reason I spend so much time at Miroku’s?” he smiled at her and gently brushed her face with his fingertips.
Kagome blushed furiously as she answered with a smirk. “Sure . . . I’m guessing your going to tell me anyway.”
“Well the truth is . . . when you started showing up at Miroku’s, I was interested in knowing who you were. I had never seen you before but Miroku would speak of you and Sango and I met Sango, so naturally I was curious about who you were. Then you showed up that day and I didn’t want to give you the wrong impression, so I played it cool when you showed up. I guess I played it a little too cool cause you lost it on me and despite the fact that you cursed me out, I couldn’t get you out of my mind. I wanted to learn more about you even if you were a bitchy know-it-all” he laughed at the last part and gave her a playful grin.
“Hey!” Kagome hit him in the arm playfully causing him to flinch and laugh even more.
“Let me finish . . . I wasn’t through” he held his arm and sighed. “But the more I got to know you, the more I realized what an amazing person you were . . . I mean you are.”
“Inuyasha . . . I . . . thank you” she blushed so bright she almost matched her dress.
“Keh . . . I was only telling the truth” he smiled and grabbed her hand. “Come on, let me show you the rest of the house.”
They checked out the rooms on the first floor rather quickly but Kagome didn’t seem to mind to much. Though she’d never actually seen a house this big and luxurious before . . . maybe on tv or in magazines, but definitely not up close like this. The living room and dining room look like no one ever set a foot in them. With the plush cream carpeting and the matching mirco-suede couch set, she was afraid just looking at it would get it dirty. Not to mention how the long mahogany dining table was set with the most beautiful platinum trimmed china and crystal stemware she had ever seen. She felt like she was at a museum standing behind the red velvet ropes. Further down the hall was the large eat- in kitchen which explained why the dining room looked like it never been touched. The stainless steel appliances made the kitchen look like a professional chef used it. There was an island in the middle with extra room for preparing food as well as an extra sink and range. All the way in the rear of the house was room that seemed to be used for entertaining. There were classic arcade style video games along the walls of the large room with a pool and hockey table in the middle. There was also a 60-inch plasma tv on one wall with all of the latest game systems you could think of in the entertainment center. Kagome thought Souta and Kohaku had all the latest game, but if they knew about all the games Inuyasha had they would surely be begging to come over every day. Off of the game room was the home theater with a projection screen and theater style plush reclining chairs for one’s viewing enjoyment. Kagome could swear she had seen his house on MTV Cribs or some show like it.
“I’m surprised that Miroku and the boys don’t spend more time here.”
“Well they still show up from time to time but Miroku spends most of his time with Sango now and Kouga has Ayame, so we only get together when everyone is free which is rare now.”
“Well if you just invited us girls over, then you guys could hang out more.”
“Yeah, I guess we could but this place would lose its coolness then” he chuckled which only got him hit again by Kagome who just glared at him. “I’m kidding. We’ll have to do that sometime. Oh and I’ll have to invite Souta and Kohaku sometime as well.”
“That’s very nice of you to offer Inuyasha” Kagome smiled brightly at him.
“Keh.”
After the tour of the lower level, they headed back to the grand foyer and up the staircase to the second floor.
“This is where all the bedrooms are” Inuyasha said matter of factly. “This here is my uncle Myoga’s room” Inuyasha pointed out the rather plan looking room to the left. Inuyasha took her a little further down the hall and stopped. “And this here is Sesshy’s room” he pointed in the very sheik and modern looking room. It was neat and everything was in its place kind of like a luxury hotel room.
“Yeah I can tell” Kagome giggled slightly.
Inuyasha shrugged and continued down to the last room at the end of the hall. “And behind door number three . . . ” Inuyasha said as he slowly opened the door in mock suspense.
“So this must be your room” Kagome walked inside across the hardwood floor taking a look around. It wasn’t as clean as Sesshomaru’s room nor as sheik and modern but it was very nice. His denim comforter was hanging off of his bed like he had just gotten out of it. Kagome walked further inside to stumble over a gray sweatshirt and a pair of jeans that were laying on the floor. Kagome couldn’t help but pick them up and throw them into the bamboo hamper next to his large walk-in closet.
“Well I’m rather impressed. I was expecting more of a mess” Kagome walked over and plopped down, sinking into the softness of the king sized pillow top bed.
“Well if I had known that you were going to start cleaning I wouldn’t have bothered cleaning at all” Inuyasha smirked as he followed her lead making his way to the bed next to her wrapping his arms around her and pulling her closer to him, kissing her neck. “But you know . . . ”he kisses her neck again and whispers in her ear softly. “ I didn’t bring you here to clean my room. I can do that myself.”
“So what did you bring me here for Mr. Takahashi?” Kagome smirked arching her neck allowing him more access.
Inuyasha kisses her neck sucking it slightly before licking it and working his way back up to her ear as she moaned softly in response. “Well I guess your going to just have to wait and see Ms. Hiragashi. After all I did promise to feed you. You are still hungry right?”
Kagome whined but nodded in response. She was more than a little hungry now and not just for food.
“Come on . . . I have something else to show you” he said to take her hand and leading her out of the bedroom and down the hall way to the staircase.
They walked back downstairs and back toward the kitchen but instead of stopping there Inuyasha keep going straight out of the back door.
“I thought we were going to eat now?” Kagome looked confused.
Inuyasha didn’t answer, he just chuckled slightly as he continued to take her through the yard that looked more like a park. There was a basketball court and tennis court as well as a sunken pool and hot tub. Now Kagome honestly couldn’t see why Inuyasha would ever want to leave his home but then she smiled and remembered part of the reason was her.
“We’re almost there” Inuyasha said excitedly.
“Almost where?” Kagome looked up at Inuyasha still slightly confused at where he could be taking her as she took in the scenery.
“Ok, we’re here” he stopped in front of an archway adorned with vines and other hanging plants as well as red and yellow roses.
The fragrances coming from beyond the archway were captivating. Kagome took a deep breath before turning to look at Inuyasha who just stood there smiling as he motioned for her to continue through the archway. She slowly made her way through, pushing away some of the low hanging vines and flowers and gasped at the site before her. She thought the forest preserve that Inuyasha took her to before was nice but this was far more breathtaking. Kagome looked at Inuyasha and tried to speak but the words just wouldn’t come out. She placed her hand over the gaping hole created by the look on her face. She was in awe.
“I take it that means you like it then?” Inuyasha smiled and chuckled slightly at her expression.
Finally able to formulate the words she wanted to say she spoke. “Oh my God, Inuyasha . . . I don’t know what to say” her words were a little muffled by her hand.
The garden was small compared to the rest of the backyard but what it lacked in size it made up for in beauty. Lush green grasses, fragrant flowers in vibrant colors, a hot spring, smaller than the one in the forest but just as eye-catching. Kagome amazed expression turned into a huge smile as she noticed the large picnic blanket with two large pillows for sitting and a wicker picnic basket on one end. As she turned back to Inuyasha, he held out an exotic looking violet flower giving it to Kagome.
“It reminds me of the color of your eyes” Inuyasha spoke softly.
“Thank you Inuyasha” Kagome took the flower from his hand with a warm smile.
“So you ready to eat?” Not waiting for a response he led her to the blanket and sat her down on the feathery soft pillow.
Once they were both sitting, Inuyasha opened the basket taking out some of the goodies he had inside. He pulled out a container of fruit salad as well as some sandwiches, placing the food on plates, before handing a plate to Kagome. Kagome nodded her thank you as she began to eat. As they were eating, quietly enjoying each others company, Inuyasha poured some lemonade and handed her a glass.
“So how do you like everything?” Inuyasha said in between taking bites of his sandwich.
“I love it Inuyasha” she took another look around. “Everything you’ve done today has been so nice.”
“I’m glad you like everything. Oh . . . I almost forgot . . . ” he reached into the basket pulling out a triangle shaped container. “I’ve got you dessert.”
“On Inuyasha, you didn’t have to do that.”
“I know but it’s your favorite.”
Kagome happily took the container from Inuyasha opening it to reveal a slice of cheesecake. He handed her a fork and she smiled as she began to eat her treat.
“Mmm . . . Inuyasha, this is really good” Kagome closed her eyes savoring the taste as little sounds of delight escaped her.
“I’m glad you like . . . it” he trailed off just watching as she ate the cheesecake.
She was throughly enjoying the cheesecake and her little moans and facial expressions made it that more enjoyable for Inuyasha.
‘God Kagome what are you doing to me? You’re just eating a piece of cheesecake but your so turning me on right now’ he thought to himself as she continued to watch her eat as his pants started to feel a little tighter than before.
“What? You’re not having any?” Kagome noticed him just sitting there staring blankly.
Inuyasha pulled himself from his thoughts of other things she could do with her mouth and answered.
“Um . . . no, I don’t really like cheesecake . . . ” ‘but I like the way your eating it’ his thoughts wondering once again.
“Aww, that’s too bad then . . . I was will to share mine with you.”
Inuyasha wasn’t sure if it was the way she said it or the cute expression on her face and the way her lips pursed when she pouted but right then and there he wanted to taste that cheesecake. He quickly took the plate from her hands placing it to the side and before she had time to protest he was pressed against her, his hand gently holding the back of her head as his lips met hers in a hungry kiss. He could taste the hints of vanilla and cream cheese as his tongue explored her wet cavern, his hand slowly making its way up her leg meeting the soft creamy skin of her thigh. Kagome couldn’t help but to moan into his mouth as the kiss became more untamed, only stopping to catch their breath.
“You’re right . . . it does taste good” Inuyasha whispered softly as he panted, looking into Kagome’s eyes right before kissing her again. Without breaking the kiss Kagome climbed into his lap, straddling him, her hands lacing into his silver mane. Inuyasha slowly raised up her dress up to her waist, exposing her thighs to his touch before his hands made their way to her rounded rear caressing it through the delicate black lace, pushing her into him grinding slightly. Kagome gasped and moaned into their kiss as she felt his erection against her, grazing her sensitive nub through the thin fabric of her panties.
“I’m sorry . . . I just . . . you looked so . . . ” Inuyasha broke the kiss panting heavily feeling just a tad bit guilty about the way he just attacked her without warning. Kagome put a finger to his lip and shook her head.
“Don’t . . . it’s ok . . . I want this . . . I want you” she panted between words before her lips were crashing back into his.
Inuyasha broke the kiss only to lavish her neck with kisses, suckling it softly. Kagome closed her eyes and arched her neck giving him better access. He continued working his way down her neck, to her throat, down her chest, until he reached her breasts. Grabbing them gently he began to kneed the soft mounds, as he grinded into her once again causing her to arch into him moaning softly.
“Please . . . I need more . . . Inuyasha . . . ” Kagome whispered softly under lidded eyes.
Inuyasha smirked as he lifted her off of his lap laying her on the soft chenille blanket. Kagome just looked at him with a look of want in her gaze. He slowly grabbed the bottom of her dress lifting it. Kagome lifted up as well allowing him to remove her dress leaving her in her bra and panties. Inuyasha eager to give Kagome exactly what she wants, began undressing himself, watching her with a devilish grin, as he unbuttoned his black silk shirt removing it. Next he unfastened his belt before undoing his button and zipper, pulling off his jeans, standing in nothing more than his boxers and a smile kneeling over her, coming closer.
“Inuyasha . . . can you take those off too” she said grabbing his concealment beads “I want to see you . . . the real you”
“Really?” Inuyasha was shocked by her request.
“Of course, really” she smiled and tugged at the beads.
Inuyasha grabbed the beads slipping them over his head taking them off, his hidden features now present. As he came down closer to Kagome, she reached up for his ears, rubbing one gently. Inuyasha purred as he gently kissed her lips working his way back down to where he left off before. With a quick flick of his hand he sliced through the front of her bra causing her to jump at his action. The bra simply fell off to the side as Inuyasha began to kneed one of her breasts while rolled her pert nipple between his fingers with the other. Kagome arched and moaned as he continued admiring her taut brown nipple gently licking and nibbling it before engulfing it, sucking it softly. His hand left her breast to explore her soft form, gently running his claws across her naked flesh causing her to shutter and shiver. He made his way to her core, rubbing her through the lace.
“Kagome . . . you’re so wet” he whispered before continuing his attention to her breast sucking it as he rubbed her nub. Kagome was at a lost for words, too wrapped up in the feelings of pleasure she was receiving as she continued to moan softly. Inuyasha worked his way down her tummy with soft kisses until he reached his goal. He carefully pulled her panties down taking them off completely. He dove into the soft curls burying his nose into her womanhood taking her in delicious scent. Her scent was intoxicating and Inuyasha wanted nothing more than to see if tasted as good as she smelled. Slowly he darted his tongue out between her folds looking up at her to gauge her reaction. He watched as her eyes rolled back and closed and she moaned and bucked into his mouth.
“That’s right . . . just relax and let me take care of you” he smirked as she continued pulling her lips apart to find her nub gently teasing it with the tip of his tongue.
“Ah . . . Nnn . . . Inuyasha . . . ” Kagome gently grabbed handfuls of Inuyasha hair pulling him closer to her core.
He continued his assault on her licking between the folds furiously, nibbling and sucking at the sensitive pearl. Kagome was moaning and panting, the feeling inside her coiling to its peak, as she bucked into his mouth, writhing and shivering as she found her release.
“How was that?” Inuyasha smirked his amber eyes with a glint of lust as he looked at her from his position at her core, licking up all of her juices.
Kagome waited until she caught her breath and relaxed against the blanket. “Oh my Gods . . . that was amazing” she smiled. “But I still want you . . . I want you inside me” she said softly.
Inuyasha crawled back up to her face, looking into her eyes. “Are you sure? You’re really ready for this? Do you really want your first time to be with me?” Inuyasha looked at her with uncertainty.
Kagome reached up to cups his face in her hands. “Inuyasha . . . I’ve never been more sure in my life. I need you . . . I want you . . . I want you inside me” Kagome reached down between them gently tugging at his erect member through his boxers. Inuyasha let out a low growl as he quickly removed his boxers then positioning himself over her hot wet core, feeling the heat from it against his tip.
“Kagome . . . just try to relax ok” Inuyasha whispered in her ear softly licking it. Knowing this was her first time he knew she would feel some discomfort but hoped it would pass quickly. Kagome nodded as Inuyasha captured her lips with his own kissing her deeply as he filled her with one quick thrust. Kagome cried out but was muffled by Inuyasha’s lips pressed against her own. Inuyasha rose up slightly to look at her.
“Kagome . . . are you ok?” he was worried. This was totally new territory for him being the first time with a virgin. He thought ‘Maybe I should have taken it slower . . . what if I hurt her?’
Kagome winced slightly but smiled. “I’m fine Inuyasha . . . just give me a second” she moved slightly adjusting her position under Inuyasha getting use to the feeling of him inside her, stretching her walls to their limits. After a minute of him inside her she slowly moved her hips letting Inuyasha know she was ready for more. Inuyasha slowly pulled out then back inside her until he found a slow steady rhythm. She began to moan softly calling his name as she rocked her hips matching his thrusts.
“Oh Gods . . . Kagome . . . you’re so tight . . . Nnn” Inuyasha moaned as he continued.
“Mmm . . . you feel so good . . . inside me. Faster Inuyasha . . . ah . . . I need more” she quickened her hips rocking faster wrapping her legs around him.
“Ah . . . ah . . . Nnn” Inuyasha picked up speed as he moaned and grunted thrusting in and out even faster.
“Ah . . . Inuyasha . . . just like that . . . I’m so close” Kagome was spiraling dangerously close to her peak.
No longer holding back., Inuyasha grabbed hold of her shoulders pumping furiously grunting and panting the sound of their hot sweaty flesh slapping together over their cries of pleasure.
“Yes . . . oh Kami yes . . . mmm . . . I . . . I . . . INUYASHA!!!” Kagome cried out as she climaxed grabbing the blanket tight as she bucked and writhed underneath him.
“Ah . . . ah . . . ahh . . . KAGOME!!!” With three more thrusts he to found his release, filling her with his warm seed as he panted heavily collapsing on top of Kagome. After he caught his breath, he rolled them over so that she was laying on top of him relaxing under the afternoon sun. Kagome cuddled up close to him, their naked body’s pressed closely together keeping each other warm on the cool summer day. Inuyasha rubbed Kagome’s back as he kissed her in the top of the head closing his eyes. Kagome just laid there contently relaxing under his touch, slowly drifting off to sleep.

A few hours later, Kagome woke up, with warm arms wrapped around her tightly as she laid there on her side. She was slightly embarrassed realizing that she was still laying there totally nude with an equally nude Inuyasha pressed against her back. As Kagome attempted to free herself from his embrace, she noticed his ear twitch as he opened one eye to look at her.
“Oh, you’re up. I didn’t want to wake you.” Kagome smiled grabbing her clothes holding them up to herself covering up bashfully.
“No . . . don’t. Your beautiful” Inuyasha sat up pulling her hands down exposing her naked breast his hand reaching up to graze the scar left on her arm from the accident. “Every part of you is beautiful” he leaned over to gently kiss the scar. “But I think I better get you home. I don’t want your mother to worry.”
“It’s not that late and I’m sure she’s fine” she protested wanting to stay there with Inuyasha.
“No, you get dressed. I’ve had you out all day and it’s not like I won’t see you tomorrow” he kissed her on the cheek and grabbed his clothes quickly getting dressed.
Kagome sighed but put her panties and dress back on discarding her ruined bra. “You owe me a bra . . . you know that right?” she glared but then couldn’t help the giggle she was holding at bay.
“I know . . . I’m sorry about that. I just hate those damn things. I can never get them off” he chuckled as he finished buttoning his shirt.
“What about the basket and blanket?” she reached down to pick up the mess they left but Inuyasha stopped her.
“Just leave it . . . I’ll take care of it later. Let’s get you home” he reached for her hand.
Kagome took his hand as they walked back to the house, getting his keys from the dish in the foyer, leaving out the front door to get in the car. The car ride was rather quiet. There were some silent exchanges, a smile or a giggle here or there. Inuyasha couldn’t believe how Kagome reduced him to a timid school boy with just a certain look. Just as long as nobody else found out he was ok. I mean come on . . . he had a reputation to protect after all. He pulled up in front of Kagome’s house and got out to open the door for her like he usually did, walking her to her door.
“I had a really great time today Inuyasha.”
“I’m glad that you enjoyed yourself. You deserved it after all you’ve been through.”
“You’ll call me before you go to sleep tonight?” Kagome asked knowing his answer.
“You know I will. I’d do anything for you Kagome.” Inuyasha moved closer to her holding her gaze with his own. “I...I love you Kagome.”
“Oh Inuyasha . . . I’ve been dying to tell you the same thing. I just . . . I didn’t know if it was too soon to admit what I have been feeling since I met you. I love you too” she jumped up wrapping her arms around his neck pulling him into a soft passionate kiss.
When the kiss ended they both smiled at each other reassuring everything that was said and done.
“So I’ll call you when I get home ok?”
“Ok . . . drive carefully, I’ll talk to you when you get home” she kissed him on the cheek and he slowly walked back to his car, hopping in and driving off as she waved and opened her front door walking in the house.
“Mom . . . Souta . . . anybody here?” Kagome shouted as she walked through the house and headed to the stairs going to her room. She was on cloud nine as she walked to down the hall to her room giggling to herself as she thought about how in love she was and how everything was so perfect, until she walked in her room startled by the figuring sitting on the bed.
“Sorry, no one answered the door so I used the spare key. I didn’t wanna wait outside” the young woman said as she cried.
“Oh my goodness, Rin. What’s wrong? I thought you wouldn’t be here for a few more days. It was him, wasn’t it?” Kagome asked with a little anger rising to the surface.
Rin looked up at Kagome sobbing uncontrollably. One eye bruised, she looked back down quickly, but Kagome noticed right away.
“Oh no Rin. Don’t tell me he hit you” Kagome rushed to sit beside her cousin wrapping her arms around her to hold her.
“It doesn’t matter anymore. I’m here now and I’m never going back. Naraku will never lay another hand on me” Rin cried laying her head in Kagome’s lap as Kagome comforted her, rubbing her hair.
“It’s fine now. Everything will be fine. You’re safe here.” Kagome said softly reassuring Rin.

Inuyasha pulled off headed back to his house when his cell phone suddenly rang.
“Yeah...” He answered it not recognizing the number.
“Inuyasha? Is that you?” the voice asked.
“Yeah, you called me didn’t you? Who is this?” Inuyasha was wondering who could be calling him.
“It’s me, Hojo.”
“What the hell do you want and how in the fuck did you get my number?” Inuyasha said rather irritated.
“That’s not important . . . I have something important to talk to you about” Hojo said with nervousness in his voice.
“Wait, is it Kikyo? Is she ok?”
“She’s fine . . . well sort of.”
“What do you mean she’s sort of ok? Didn’t I tell you to take care of her you idiot?”
“Yes and I am but what going on with Kikyo is complicated and it affects us both.”
“How does it affect me when I’m not the one who’s with her now?” Inuyasha was so tired of Hojo dancing around whatever it was he was trying to say. “Just spit it out already! Why are you calling me?!”
It was silent for a second, then Hojo took a deep breath.
“Well?!”
“Kikyo . . . Kikyo she’s . . . she’s pregnant” Hojo finally managed to get the words out. “And there is a very good possibility that you are the father”
Inuyasha just closed his phone shut. ‘This can’t be true. This has to be one of Kikyo’s crazy schemes. Kikyo, pregnant . . . and it could be mine? And what do I tell Kagome . . . Will she understand?’ the thoughts in his head were way too much at the time as he forgot his task at hand, looking back up at the road, headed straight for a tree. He tried to swerve avoiding the tree but it was way too late. Inuyasha slammed on breaks, crashing head-on into the tree totaling the car with a huge boom.

Chapter 16
Kagome woke up early Saturday morning so excited about her day with Inuyasha. She had no idea what he had plan but it really didn’t matter to her. This was her first real date with Inuyasha. And after weeks of being cooped up in the hospital, she couldn’t wait to get out and enjoy herself. Sango was obviously just as excited as Kagome was because Sango was the cause of her being up so early in the first place. Kagome was laying in her bed, half asleep, when suddenly her cell phone rang. She jumped up quickly, eyes still closed as she reached on her night stand fumbling around for her phone.
“Hello . . . ” she said softly with a yawn.
“Oh good you’re up. Soooo, what do you have planned with Inuyasha today?” Kagome could imagine her friend’s goofy grin through the phone.
“Wow, I guess good news travel fast. Oh, now I see . . . Miroku told you something didn’t he?” Kagome rubbed her eyes trying to focus on the clock on the night stand.
“Yeah, he told me last night. So, do you know where he’s taking you?” Sango said excitedly.
“No, actually I don’t know. It’s supposed to be a surprise. Do you realize that it’s six in the morning Sango?” Kagome finally getting a good look at the clock, laying her head back on her pillow.
“Yeah, I know. I’m sorry. I guess I couldn’t really sleep” Sango blushed and though Kagome couldn’t actually see her, she knew she was.
“Thinking about Miroku I take it?”
“I really love him you know. We even talked about moving in together.”
“Really, that’s great news. I’m so happy for you guys.”
“But I told him I wasn’t sure because we were supposed to be moving in together for school.”
“Oh Sango, I’ll be fine. I think it’s wonderful that you two are moving in together. You’re practically there all the time anyway. And don’t worry about Inuyasha, I’ll keep him out of the way” Kagome giggled and smiled to herself.
“You’re really like the best friend ever. I’m so glad you understand.”
“No problem, I kind of figured that it might happen this way so I was prepared.”
“What do you mean you we’re prepared?”
“Well my cousin said she was coming here to go to school, so I think she’s gonna be my roommate.”
“Oh I didn’t know she was moving here. That’s gonna be so cool to have here her and catch up on things. I haven’t seen her in so long. It will be good to see her.”
“Yeah, she should be here in the next couple of days . . . well at least that what she told me anyway.”
“Ok. Well I guess I better let you go so you can get ready for your big day and all” Sango giggled.
“The only thing I’m going to do this early is hang up and get another hour of sleep” Kagome whined.
“Ok, you do that and I’ll talk to you later on tonight to see how your date went ok?”
“Well I know that I can’t say no, so I’ll talk to you then.”
“Have fun today . . . bye.”
“Bye.” Kagome closed her phone, dropping it on the bed, slowly drifting back to sleep.

About two hours later, Kagome was yet again awakened by the ringing of her cell phone. She whined as felt around in the bed to stop the music of her ringtone.
“Hello” she answered half asleep.
“Well good morning beautiful . . . this is your wake up call” Inuyasha chuckled.
Kagome perked up a bit. “Inuyasha . . . ”
“Yep, I’ll be there in like an hour. I hope that’s enough time for you to get ready?”
He figured he’d ask since his experience with Kikyo had never been good when it came to being ready.
“That’s plenty of time. I’ll be ready. It would be nice to know what we were doing today” Kagome pouted even though she knew he couldn’t see it.
“Don’t worry, whatever you wear will be fine. So I’ll see in an hour ok?”
“Ok . . . bye”
“Later”
Kagome was so excited and wanted everything to be perfect for her date. She jumped out of her bed and ran straight to the closet to pick out something to wear. She knew Inuyasha’s favorite color was red so she had her mind made up that whatever she wore would be that color. Kagome quickly picked out her outfit and laid it out on the bed before heading to the bathroom to take a shower. Once she was done in the shower she quickly got dressed and stood in front of her mirror debating on whether she wanted to wear her hair pinned up or down. She was undecided so she opted for a simple ponytail with a couple of loose tendrils hanging in the front and back. Kagome was working on her finishing touches when she heard the doorbell ring. She quickly looked at her watch and noticed it was only 8:45.
‘Wow, he’s early’ she thought as she hurried to finish.
Downstairs, her mom and Souta were sitting in the kitchen. Souta was just finishing up his breakfast when he heard the door bell.
“I’ll get it!” he shouted excitedly as if he was expecting company, rushing over to the door. “Who is it?” he asked as stood on his tippy toes to look through the peep hole. The expression on Souta’s face went from happy to ecstatic as he quickly swung the door open not waiting for a response. “Inuyasha!!” Souta shouted wide-eyed with excitement.
“Heya squirt” Inuyasha smiled and chuckled as he playfully ruffled Souta’s hair to mess it slightly as he walked in the door.
“Good morning Mrs. Hiragashi” he waved to Kagome’s mom from the livingroom.
“Good morning Inuyasha” Mrs. Hiragashi greeted him with a warm smile. “So, you’re up and about early. I take it you and Kagome have big plans for today?”
“Well yeah . . . I figure she deserves something really special with all she’s been through. Besides we’ve got about a month of dating to make up for” he smiled at Mrs. Hiragashi before plopping down on the couch.
Mrs. Hiragashi just smiled and continued to clean the kitchen.
“So Souta . . . whatcha got planned for today?”
“Well I’ve got Soccer practice in about and hour and after I was thinking of going to Kohaku’s. He’s got the Nintendo Wii. It’s totally cool. Hey, are you going to come to my Soccer tournament in two weeks?” the boy replied quickly yet cheerfully.
“Of course I’ll be there. I wouldn’t miss it for the world” Inuyasha relaxed against the back of the couch closing his eyes.
“I’m sorry I didn’t mean to keep you waiting” he heard the voice so sweet speak softly, not even realizing she had come down the stairs.
“No it’s ok. I was early so I didn’t mind waiting. Beside, me and Souta were . . . ” he stopped mid-sentence as he raised his head and his eyes opened slowly to fall upon Kagome.
“What? Do I have something on my dress?” Kagome asked examining herself.
“No . . . I’m sorry I didn’t mean to stare. There’s nothing wrong with your dress . . . it’s fine and you’re just . . . you’re beautiful” he reassured her as he fumbled a bit making his way to his feet to stand in front of her.
“Thank you Inuyasha. That’s very sweet of you to say” she blushed slightly.
“Well it’s the truth” he looked her over with a smirk. “Actually your smoking hot but I thought beautiful was more appropriate.”
“Good call” Kagome giggled blushing even more.
Kagome was wearing a red dress, the thin straps barely staying up on her shoulders. It fitted her curves well and the thought of how it fitted her body made Inuyasha a bit flushed, that and the thought of how her pale skin would feel under his touch. Now on top of feeling like someone had just turned the thermostat up, it’s seemed that there was something ‘up’ in his pants as well. He quickly shook that thought out of his head trying to regain control of the situation before it got uncomfortably embarrassing. The dress hugged her nicely at the top and tapered as it got to the bottom flaring out coming right above her knee. On her feet were some flat red sandals with little rhinestones and gems that made them stand out. Inuyasha was more than ready to get on with their date.
“So, you ready to get going?” He reached out for her hand.
“Yes . . . more than anything” she smiled and she took his hand.
Souta rolled his eyes and sighed. “Yeah hurry up and leave already. All this mushy stuff is gonna make me sick” he said making a face and holding his stomach pretending to be sick.
Kagome playfully stuck out her tongue at him before looking into the kitchen waving at her mom. “Bye mom. I’ll be back later.”
“Bye dear, you guys have fun” her mother waved back.
“Bye Mrs. Hiragashi. Later squirt” he rubbed Souta’s head messing his hair again before walking out of the door with Kagome in hand.
“So, is it ok to ask where you are taking me know, or is this still a top secret mission?” she said playfully before giggling.
“You’ll find out soon enough. We’re almost at the first place I’m taking you.”
“The first place? So you’re telling me you’ve got more than one place to take me today?”
“Yep, like I told your mom . . . I’ve gotta lot of making up to do. We’ve been together for almost a month and this is our first date” Inuyasha stated matter-of-factly.
“You know, I hadn’t thought about it . . . but you’re actually right.”
“So that’s why this date is going to be extra special” he looked at her with a smile before looking back at the road. “Well we’re here” Inuyasha said pulling into a parking lot.
After he parked the car, he got out and walked over to the passenger side to open the door for Kagome. Kagome smiled as she got out taking his hand.
“Where are we?” Kagome took a quick look around at her surrounding. They were standing outside this commercial building but from the outside she couldn’t really tell what the building was used for. It actually looked as though it was vacant.
“Well Sango told me that you really love to do this, so . . . ” Inuyasha replied as he continued to walking them closer to the building.
Kagome let go of his hand and just stood there with a puzzled look. “She told you that I like to go to abandoned buildings?”
“No . . . just come on would you. I thought you trusted me?” he chuckled and smiled at her confused state.
“Of course I trust you” she answered.
“Well then come on and let me show you what’s inside” he smiled at her as he took her hand again walking her right up to the front door pausing. “Ok, now close your eyes.”
Kagome gave him an unsure look but smiled. “I don’t know. What if you run me into a wall or something?” she smirked.
“Now why would I go do something like that? Just close them already and I’ll help you inside” Inuyasha chuckled.
“Fine” Kagome sighed and closed her eyes.
“I promise you won’t be disappointed” he smiled as he wrapped his arms around her waist gently guiding her into the building.
Once they got inside Kagome could tell that it had gotten considerably colder than it was outside. “Hey . . . why is it so cold in here?” she asked wrapping her arms around herself.
“Don’t worry you’ll see in a few seconds and no peeking.”
“Ok, ok . . . I’m not going to peek.”
“Good because we’re almost there.”
After helping Kagome down a few steps Inuyasha stopped. “Ok, you can open them now.”
Kagome opened her eyes and couldn’t believe what she saw. She was speechless as she took a moment to let everything sink in. “Oh my goodness! Inuyasha, how did you know?” She never remembered telling Inuyasha about this particular thing. She really hadn’t thought about it since she was a child.
“Well I told you that I got some help from Sango. I was just talking to her asking her about what you guys were like when you were younger and she told me about this. You like it right?”
“Oh Inuyasha, I love it!” she quickly wrapped her arms around him holding him tightly.
“I’m glad you like it” he smiles and wraps his arms around her in return.
“This is so amazing...but wait, I’m not even dressed for this.”
“Don’t worry, I’ve already taken care of that to” Inuyasha motioned to a duffle bag sitting on a metal bench near by.
Kagome jumped up and down excitedly before quickly kissing him on the cheek and running over to the bench opening the bag to find the appropriate footwear and attire inside. Inuyasha just smiled and casually pointed in the direction of the restroom knowing she wanted to change. After a few minutes she came out all changed into the contents of the duffle bag.
“Wow . . . Kagome, you look amazing . . . like a snow angel” Inuyasha said with a huge grin as he took her hand to slowly turn her around getting a better look.
“I do not . . . ” Kagome blushed.
“Well. What are you waiting for? Go out there and show me whatcha got” he smirked.
Kagome didn’t need anymore coaxing as she carefully walked across the linoleum floor on her skates. As the blades hit the ice she glided across gracefully as she slowly picked up speed. Once she got back use to being on the smooth rink of ice she didn’t hesitate to show off some of her moves in her white velvet skating dress. The neckline with sequin and shiny silver and white beads and spaghetti straps that crossed in the back. The white chiffon skirt gently flapped in the wind as she picked up speed stroking around the ring twice, once forward and once backwards. Inuyasha just watched her contently from out side the rink as she made her way around. She did a few crossovers and edges before working her way into some Mohawks and turns. Inuyasha could have sworn she did this professionally the way she made it look so easy. Kagome smiled as she skated, out there in her own little world, until she realized that Inuyasha wasn’t out there with her. She skated over to the side of the rink where Inuyasha was watching.
“Inuyasha, aren’t you going to join me?”
“I would if I could, but the truth is I don’t know how to ice skate. Besides, I didn’t bring skates for myself, but maybe some other time you can teach me” Inuyasha gave her that smirk of his. “This was all about you Kagome . . . just enjoy yourself.”
Kagome smiled and leaned over the wall of the rink to wrap her arms around his neck pulling him closer to her. “Thank you so much Inuyasha. This is the sweetest, most thoughtful gift anyone has ever given me” she said as she leaned in closer to kiss him softly on the lips before pulling back and gliding back off across the rink.
After a little more skating Kagome came out of the rink and went to change back into her dress. She walked back over to Inuyasha and could tell by the look in his eyes that he was definitely up to something. She glared at him but he just smirked.
“What are you up to Mr. Takahashi?”
“Who me?” Inuyasha said innocently. “I’m not up to anything.”
“Oh Inuyasha, this was more than enough. You didn’t have to go and plan more for us to do.”
“Keh, it’s nothing major . . . just figured you might be hungry.”
“Well yeah . . . I guess I am a little seeing as I didn’t get to eat breakfast” she giggled pushing a few loose strands of hair behind her ear.
“Well don’t worry. I’m going to take you to eat now” Inuyasha smiled reaching for her hand taking her back to the car.

After a quiet, thirty minute drive, they pulled up to a gated entrance. Inuyasha typed in his personal key code on the keypad and the gates opened allowing him to proceed down the drive way. Kagome admired the grounds as she peered out the car window. The big beautiful trees and lush green grass were nothing compared to the large exquisite fountain in the courtyard right in front of the large estate.
“Well this is it” Inuyasha said as he hopped out the car opening the car door for Kagome to exit. She was still in awe of how beautiful everything was.
“Wow Inuyasha, this is were you live?” Kagome looked around carefully taking it all in.
“Well I spend more time at Miroku’s as you already know, but yeah, this is where I really live.”
“Inuyasha your house is . . . wow” Kagome said as she looked around wide-eyed.
“Well let me give you a proper tour” he took her hand in his gently and led her through the front door.
They stepped over the threshold onto the marble floor of the foyer. Kagome looked up and noticed the sparkling crystals of the chandelier as the sunlight from the stain glass window shone through them. Inuyasha walked up to the small mahogany table placing his keys in the decorative dish on the table.
“Well this is the Grand Foyer or at least that’s what Sesshy calls it.”
“It’s really big and really beautiful” Kagome looked around the large space. “Hey, where is Sesshomaru anyway?”
“Oh he’s out of town on business with my uncle Myoga, so I’ve got the house to myself” Inuyasha leaned against the railing of the grand staircase in the foyer.
“So is it always like this . . . you at home all alone?”
“You make it sound like I’m a little boy being left home with no one to play with” he chuckled. “It really isn’t that bad, besides it’s not like this all the time, trust me, I wish it was and I’m at Miroku’s most of the time anyway. Do you wanna know the reason I spend so much time at Miroku’s?” he smiled at her and gently brushed her face with his fingertips.
Kagome blushed furiously as she answered with a smirk. “Sure . . . I’m guessing your going to tell me anyway.”
“Well the truth is . . . when you started showing up at Miroku’s, I was interested in knowing who you were. I had never seen you before but Miroku would speak of you and Sango and I met Sango, so naturally I was curious about who you were. Then you showed up that day and I didn’t want to give you the wrong impression, so I played it cool when you showed up. I guess I played it a little too cool cause you lost it on me and despite the fact that you cursed me out, I couldn’t get you out of my mind. I wanted to learn more about you even if you were a bitchy know-it-all” he laughed at the last part and gave her a playful grin.
“Hey!” Kagome hit him in the arm playfully causing him to flinch and laugh even more.
“Let me finish . . . I wasn’t through” he held his arm and sighed. “But the more I got to know you, the more I realized what an amazing person you were . . . I mean you are.”
“Inuyasha . . . I . . . thank you” she blushed so bright she almost matched her dress.
“Keh . . . I was only telling the truth” he smiled and grabbed her hand. “Come on, let me show you the rest of the house.”
They checked out the rooms on the first floor rather quickly but Kagome didn’t seem to mind to much. Though she’d never actually seen a house this big and luxurious before . . . maybe on tv or in magazines, but definitely not up close like this. The living room and dining room look like no one ever set a foot in them. With the plush cream carpeting and the matching mirco-suede couch set, she was afraid just looking at it would get it dirty. Not to mention how the long mahogany dining table was set with the most beautiful platinum trimmed china and crystal stemware she had ever seen. She felt like she was at a museum standing behind the red velvet ropes. Further down the hall was the large eat- in kitchen which explained why the dining room looked like it never been touched. The stainless steel appliances made the kitchen look like a professional chef used it. There was an island in the middle with extra room for preparing food as well as an extra sink and range. All the way in the rear of the house was room that seemed to be used for entertaining. There were classic arcade style video games along the walls of the large room with a pool and hockey table in the middle. There was also a 60-inch plasma tv on one wall with all of the latest game systems you could think of in the entertainment center. Kagome thought Souta and Kohaku had all the latest game, but if they knew about all the games Inuyasha had they would surely be begging to come over every day. Off of the game room was the home theater with a projection screen and theater style plush reclining chairs for one’s viewing enjoyment. Kagome could swear she had seen his house on MTV Cribs or some show like it.
“I’m surprised that Miroku and the boys don’t spend more time here.”
“Well they still show up from time to time but Miroku spends most of his time with Sango now and Kouga has Ayame, so we only get together when everyone is free which is rare now.”
“Well if you just invited us girls over, then you guys could hang out more.”
“Yeah, I guess we could but this place would lose its coolness then” he chuckled which only got him hit again by Kagome who just glared at him. “I’m kidding. We’ll have to do that sometime. Oh and I’ll have to invite Souta and Kohaku sometime as well.”
“That’s very nice of you to offer Inuyasha” Kagome smiled brightly at him.
“Keh.”
After the tour of the lower level, they headed back to the grand foyer and up the staircase to the second floor.
“This is where all the bedrooms are” Inuyasha said matter of factly. “This here is my uncle Myoga’s room” Inuyasha pointed out the rather plan looking room to the left. Inuyasha took her a little further down the hall and stopped. “And this here is Sesshy’s room” he pointed in the very sheik and modern looking room. It was neat and everything was in its place kind of like a luxury hotel room.
“Yeah I can tell” Kagome giggled slightly.
Inuyasha shrugged and continued down to the last room at the end of the hall. “And behind door number three . . . ” Inuyasha said as he slowly opened the door in mock suspense.
“So this must be your room” Kagome walked inside across the hardwood floor taking a look around. It wasn’t as clean as Sesshomaru’s room nor as sheik and modern but it was very nice. His denim comforter was hanging off of his bed like he had just gotten out of it. Kagome walked further inside to stumble over a gray sweatshirt and a pair of jeans that were laying on the floor. Kagome couldn’t help but pick them up and throw them into the bamboo hamper next to his large walk-in closet.
“Well I’m rather impressed. I was expecting more of a mess” Kagome walked over and plopped down, sinking into the softness of the king sized pillow top bed.
“Well if I had known that you were going to start cleaning I wouldn’t have bothered cleaning at all” Inuyasha smirked as he followed her lead making his way to the bed next to her wrapping his arms around her and pulling her closer to him, kissing her neck. “But you know . . . ”he kisses her neck again and whispers in her ear softly. “ I didn’t bring you here to clean my room. I can do that myself.”
“So what did you bring me here for Mr. Takahashi?” Kagome smirked arching her neck allowing him more access.
Inuyasha kisses her neck sucking it slightly before licking it and working his way back up to her ear as she moaned softly in response. “Well I guess your going to just have to wait and see Ms. Hiragashi. After all I did promise to feed you. You are still hungry right?”
Kagome whined but nodded in response. She was more than a little hungry now and not just for food.
“Come on . . . I have something else to show you” he said to take her hand and leading her out of the bedroom and down the hall way to the staircase.
They walked back downstairs and back toward the kitchen but instead of stopping there Inuyasha keep going straight out of the back door.
“I thought we were going to eat now?” Kagome looked confused.
Inuyasha didn’t answer, he just chuckled slightly as he continued to take her through the yard that looked more like a park. There was a basketball court and tennis court as well as a sunken pool and hot tub. Now Kagome honestly couldn’t see why Inuyasha would ever want to leave his home but then she smiled and remembered part of the reason was her.
“We’re almost there” Inuyasha said excitedly.
“Almost where?” Kagome looked up at Inuyasha still slightly confused at where he could be taking her as she took in the scenery.
“Ok, we’re here” he stopped in front of an archway adorned with vines and other hanging plants as well as red and yellow roses.
The fragrances coming from beyond the archway were captivating. Kagome took a deep breath before turning to look at Inuyasha who just stood there smiling as he motioned for her to continue through the archway. She slowly made her way through, pushing away some of the low hanging vines and flowers and gasped at the site before her. She thought the forest preserve that Inuyasha took her to before was nice but this was far more breathtaking. Kagome looked at Inuyasha and tried to speak but the words just wouldn’t come out. She placed her hand over the gaping hole created by the look on her face. She was in awe.
“I take it that means you like it then?” Inuyasha smiled and chuckled slightly at her expression.
Finally able to formulate the words she wanted to say she spoke. “Oh my God, Inuyasha . . . I don’t know what to say” her words were a little muffled by her hand.
The garden was small compared to the rest of the backyard but what it lacked in size it made up for in beauty. Lush green grasses, fragrant flowers in vibrant colors, a hot spring, smaller than the one in the forest but just as eye-catching. Kagome amazed expression turned into a huge smile as she noticed the large picnic blanket with two large pillows for sitting and a wicker picnic basket on one end. As she turned back to Inuyasha, he held out an exotic looking violet flower giving it to Kagome.
“It reminds me of the color of your eyes” Inuyasha spoke softly.
“Thank you Inuyasha” Kagome took the flower from his hand with a warm smile.
“So you ready to eat?” Not waiting for a response he led her to the blanket and sat her down on the feathery soft pillow.
Once they were both sitting, Inuyasha opened the basket taking out some of the goodies he had inside. He pulled out a container of fruit salad as well as some sandwiches, placing the food on plates, before handing a plate to Kagome. Kagome nodded her thank you as she began to eat. As they were eating, quietly enjoying each others company, Inuyasha poured some lemonade and handed her a glass.
“So how do you like everything?” Inuyasha said in between taking bites of his sandwich.
“I love it Inuyasha” she took another look around. “Everything you’ve done today has been so nice.”
“I’m glad you like everything. Oh . . . I almost forgot . . . ” he reached into the basket pulling out a triangle shaped container. “I’ve got you dessert.”
“On Inuyasha, you didn’t have to do that.”
“I know but it’s your favorite.”
Kagome happily took the container from Inuyasha opening it to reveal a slice of cheesecake. He handed her a fork and she smiled as she began to eat her treat.
“Mmm . . . Inuyasha, this is really good” Kagome closed her eyes savoring the taste as little sounds of delight escaped her.
“I’m glad you like . . . it” he trailed off just watching as she ate the cheesecake.
She was throughly enjoying the cheesecake and her little moans and facial expressions made it that more enjoyable for Inuyasha.
‘God Kagome what are you doing to me? You’re just eating a piece of cheesecake but your so turning me on right now’ he thought to himself as she continued to watch her eat as his pants started to feel a little tighter than before.
“What? You’re not having any?” Kagome noticed him just sitting there staring blankly.
Inuyasha pulled himself from his thoughts of other things she could do with her mouth and answered.
“Um . . . no, I don’t really like cheesecake . . . ” ‘but I like the way your eating it’ his thoughts wondering once again.
“Aww, that’s too bad then . . . I was will to share mine with you.”
Inuyasha wasn’t sure if it was the way she said it or the cute expression on her face and the way her lips pursed when she pouted but right then and there he wanted to taste that cheesecake. He quickly took the plate from her hands placing it to the side and before she had time to protest he was pressed against her, his hand gently holding the back of her head as his lips met hers in a hungry kiss. He could taste the hints of vanilla and cream cheese as his tongue explored her wet cavern, his hand slowly making its way up her leg meeting the soft creamy skin of her thigh. Kagome couldn’t help but to moan into his mouth as the kiss became more untamed, only stopping to catch their breath.
“You’re right . . . it does taste good” Inuyasha whispered softly as he panted, looking into Kagome’s eyes right before kissing her again. “Oh, you’re up. I didn’t want to wake you.” Kagome smiled grabbing her clothes holding them up to herself covering up bashfully.
“No . . . don’t. Your beautiful” Inuyasha sat up pulling her hands down exposing her naked breast his hand reaching up to graze the scar left on her arm from the accident. “Every part of you is beautiful” he leaned over to gently kiss the scar. “But I think I better get you home. I don’t want your mother to worry.”
“It’s not that late and I’m sure she’s fine” she protested wanting to stay there with Inuyasha.
“No, you get dressed. I’ve had you out all day and it’s not like I won’t see you tomorrow” he kissed her on the cheek and grabbed his clothes quickly getting dressed.
Kagome sighed but put her panties and dress back on discarding her ruined bra. “You owe me a bra . . . you know that right?” she glared but then couldn’t help the giggle she was holding at bay.
“I know . . . I’m sorry about that. I just hate those damn things. I can never get them off” he chuckled as he finished buttoning his shirt.
“What about the basket and blanket?” she reached down to pick up the mess they left but Inuyasha stopped her.
“Just leave it . . . I’ll take care of it later. Let’s get you home” he reached for her hand.
Kagome took his hand as they walked back to the house, getting his keys from the dish in the foyer, leaving out the front door to get in the car. The car ride was rather quiet. There were some silent exchanges, a smile or a giggle here or there. Inuyasha couldn’t believe how Kagome reduced him to a timid school boy with just a certain look. Just as long as nobody else found out he was ok. I mean come on . . . he had a reputation to protect after all. He pulled up in front of Kagome’s house and got out to open the door for her like he usually did, walking her to her door.
“I had a really great time today Inuyasha.”
“I’m glad that you enjoyed yourself. You deserved it after all you’ve been through.”
“You’ll call me before you go to sleep tonight?” Kagome asked knowing his answer.
“You know I will. I’d do anything for you Kagome.” Inuyasha moved closer to her holding her gaze with his own. “I...I love you Kagome.”
“Oh Inuyasha . . . I’ve been dying to tell you the same thing. I just . . . I didn’t know if it was too soon to admit what I have been feeling since I met you. I love you too” she jumped up wrapping her arms around his neck pulling him into a soft passionate kiss.
When the kiss ended they both smiled at each other reassuring everything that was said and done.
“So I’ll call you when I get home ok?”
“Ok . . . drive carefully, I’ll talk to you when you get home” she kissed him on the cheek and he slowly walked back to his car, hopping in and driving off as she waved and opened her front door walking in the house.
“Mom . . . Souta . . . anybody here?” Kagome shouted as she walked through the house and headed to the stairs going to her room. She was on cloud nine as she walked to down the hall to her room giggling to herself as she thought about how in love she was and how everything was so perfect, until she walked in her room startled by the figuring sitting on the bed.
“Sorry, no one answered the door so I used the spare key. I didn’t wanna wait outside” the young woman said as she cried.
“Oh my goodness, Rin. What’s wrong? I thought you wouldn’t be here for a few more days. It was him, wasn’t it?” Kagome asked with a little anger rising to the surface.
Rin looked up at Kagome sobbing uncontrollably. One eye bruised, she looked back down quickly, but Kagome noticed right away.
“Oh no Rin. Don’t tell me he hit you” Kagome rushed to sit beside her cousin wrapping her arms around her to hold her.
“It doesn’t matter anymore. I’m here now and I’m never going back. Naraku will never lay another hand on me” Rin cried laying her head in Kagome’s lap as Kagome comforted her, rubbing her hair.
“It’s fine now. Everything will be fine. You’re safe here.” Kagome said softly reassuring Rin.

Inuyasha pulled off headed back to his house when his cell phone suddenly rang.
“Yeah...” He answered it not recognizing the number.
“Inuyasha? Is that you?” the voice asked.
“Yeah, you called me didn’t you? Who is this?” Inuyasha was wondering who could be calling him.
“It’s me, Hojo.”
“What the hell do you want and how in the fuck did you get my number?” Inuyasha said rather irritated.
“That’s not important . . . I have something important to talk to you about” Hojo said with nervousness in his voice.
“Wait, is it Kikyo? Is she ok?”
“She’s fine . . . well sort of.”
“What do you mean she’s sort of ok? Didn’t I tell you to take care of her you idiot?”
“Yes and I am but what going on with Kikyo is complicated and it affects us both.”
“How does it affect me when I’m not the one who’s with her now?” Inuyasha was so tired of Hojo dancing around whatever it was he was trying to say. “Just spit it out already! Why are you calling me?!”
It was silent for a second, then Hojo took a deep breath.
“Well?!”
“Kikyo . . . Kikyo she’s . . . she’s pregnant” Hojo finally managed to get the words out. “And there is a very good possibility that you are the father”
Inuyasha just closed his phone shut. ‘This can’t be true. This has to be one of Kikyo’s crazy schemes. Kikyo, pregnant . . . and it could be mine? And what do I tell Kagome . . . Will she understand?’ the thoughts in his head were way too much at the time as he forgot his task at hand, looking back up at the road, headed straight for a tree. He tried to swerve avoiding the tree but it was way too late. Inuyasha slammed on breaks, crashing head-on into the tree totaling the car with a huge boom.
