AN: Well I’ve got to admit that this came in a bit late, but eh? Im not gonna make any excuses because I’m not the lying type. I was actually on writer’s block for a while, and I am still, but I really to get a new chapter out before one of you skin me alive, if you get my drift o_O. Anyways to tell you the truth, this chapter is pretty pointless, well not that pointless, because you get to see something new. Well lets just say that these are one of the building chapters, the ones that grow into the greater ones! Lets just leave it at that. Anyways, it would be really nice if you guys could give me some ideas with this, it would help a lot, especially since I am in such a great writer’s block. I am also trying to get my other new story, ‘Unforgettable Truths: Raven Wings’ on the roll. I would be very great ful if you guys would go read it, and tell me what you think! Well enough of this pointless jabbering! On with the story!

Chapter 6: Uniform and Rooftops Pt.2
Why do people complain about the materialistic things in their lives, and fight over them with people they love. Why can't they see that what they have is more valuable than any other thing in the world. Why can't they realize, that once you lose it, it is gone forever. You can't bring back your loved ones. Why don't we strive in life, to make as many memories, and as much time with our family members while we still have the chance. That is what I wish, I would of done.
Sorry I'm late Miss Kagome, I seem to be running late always."
"I've missed you, Sessho-kun."
"And I've missed you...koi."
"What is it Miss Kagome?"
"How bout you and me have a race."
"Oh yeah? What sort of race do you have in mind?"
"Quit acting Sesshomaru you know what race I'm talking about. The old Feudal Japan race, "The Demon-Miko Race." The one we always played when we were kids."
"What are the terms Priestess?"
"Ah! I got it. Ok first of all, we can use our powers, but remember that we our on top of the roof of the school, so it's best not to create damage. Second the loser gets to pay for both of our uniforms and gets to make the loser do whatever the winner wants for a month. Third, the race will begin when my bandanna touches the floor. The winner is the one that reaches the student store first."
"Alrighty then. Let me get ready."
"Prepare to be defeated priestess."
"Your dreaming demon."

Kagome and Sesshomaru sprinted forward as fast as they could. Sesshomaru ran gracefully ahead of Kagome, his silk mane blowing behind him gently. Kagome looked over to Sesshomaru, and calculated what her next move would be. I am at a disadvantage, he's too fast because of his demon blood. I need something to distract him. Kagome looked around trying to find something that would work while keeping her pace. Her indifferent eyes landed on her own bare hands as something pooped in her mind. Aha! I'll use my energy bow and arrow.
Sesshomaru felt the hairs on his body go on its end as he felt strong spiritual energy coming not too far behind him. He ignored the feeling and kept with his pace. Kagome lifted her left hand and held it in place, soon a blue fiery energy bow appeared in her palms. She then proceeded with her right hand and pulled back on the string as if there was a arrow in place. Soon an energy arrow appeared and Kagome aimed it so that it would shoot across Sesshomaru's face. Damn. I need to be a bit closer, so that it will go directly past the front part of Sesshomaru's face.
Kagome then looked around once more until she laid her eyes on the side fence, that kept people from falling of the roof. She smirked and ran towards it. She began running as fast a she could to gain momentum and leaped directly on top of the fence. She started running on the top of the thin medal fence and was soon catching up to Sesshomaru. People gasped at Kagome's deadly stunt, making them even more engrossed with the race.
"Huh" Sesshomaru looked over to Kagome who was steadily catching up to him. His eyes widened a bit, but was quickly covered by his stoic mask as fast as it came. She's running on top of the fence. What a foolish girl, she could easily fall off. Sesshomaru looked at his claws. Foolish indeed. Sesshomaru smirked. He held up his index and middle finger in front of his face. Neon green poison oozed from its core as he struck forward, unleashing his poisonous whip. He struck at the fence, directly in front of her feet, but sensing it before, Kagome dodge it gracefully by jumping high and unleashing her arrow.
The arrow flew past the front of Sesshomaru's face. He stopped abruptly noticing Kagome taking the lead now. A low growl ripped through his throat as he started sprinting towards her. He noticed her running away from the fence and back on the ground. Sesshomaru looked once more towards the fence and ran towards it. He was now running on the wall of the fence, making him run at a slope.
He then released his silk tail from his shoulder and shot it forward. He draped it around Kagome's shoulders and waist, and pulling her back. "Nani!," came the surprised gasp of Kagome. Sesshomaru pushed her on the ground with his tail, as he took the lead once more. He look back towards Kagome slightly while keeping his pace. He smirked and twitched his tail diagonally to the left and then diagonally to the right once. "Sayonara." he taunted.
Kagome growled from her place on the floor. "THE NERVE OF HIM! TWITCHING HIS TAIL AT ME!" She pushed herself off the ground with her right hand and took off into a sprint once more. She saw Sesshomaru dodge the upcoming shed that was in the middle of the track, and an idea pooped into her mind. She ran forward with as much of her strength possible, and instead of running out of the direction of the shed, she leaped towards it. She jumped up high and landed on the roof. She ran on top of the roof until she reached the other side, and saw Sesshomaru already on the other side. She jumped down from the roof, and landing gracefully on top of Sesshomaru's head.
Sesshomaru growled and swiped towards Kagome's legs with his claws. She quickly dodged it by jumping up high and landing with one foot on each shoulder blade. He snarled and tried to grab her legs with his hands, but again Kagome managed to dodge it. She jumped high doing a flip in the air, and faced towards Sesshomaru. She brought her right up hand up and kissed her index and middle finger. She brought them forward and placed them on Sesshomaru's lips. "See ya!" She finally landed ahead off him, and continued running while looking back a Sesshomaru's enraged face.
She's mocking me! That wench! Sesshomaru's mind screamed. I should kill her for such defiance!
'Don't dare touch Miss Kagome.' Replied the human part of Sesshomaru, that was normally in control.
And if do? Sesshomaru taunted.
Human Sesshomaru smirked mentally in the darkness of Sesshomaru's mind. 'I'll just have to gain control once more, and you'll just have to lose the race.'
Sesshomaru growled and continued to run forward, and saw the student store office coming into view. He decided it was time to stop playing games with the ningen, and raced forward in a silver blur.
Kagome was running when she felt something dash past by her. She looked behind her, and noticed that no one was there. (Well except the crowd on the bleachers, further away.)She faced forward once more, and groaned. "Well that was stupid of me." There at the 'finish-line', she saw Sesshomaru leaning against the wall of the student store office, with a smug grin on his face. He had his arms crossed in front of his face, while his tail was stretched out to his right lazily, twitching tauntingly at her.
Kagome bowed her head slightly and let out a sigh of defeat. She glared at Sesshomaru and walked over to him. "Ningen, you have now been defeated by this Sesshomaru, what have you got to say for yourself ningen." came the slightly amused, monotone voice of Sesshomaru.
"Oh my highly lord! Please forgive this lowly ningen for being a nuisance to your oh so high and all mighty presence." Kagome spat, each word dripping with sarcasm.
"Precisely."
Kagome glared at Sesshomaru and turned around, crossing her arms over her chest. She looked at the crowd, left way behind. She could hear their roar of cheers, and caught the sympathetic look of Sango. She smiled at Sango and mouthed "thank you." She then turned back towards Sesshomaru's amused look, and held out her hand. He looked at her curiously, and waited for her to explain. "Well a deals a deal, I'll be your 'slave" for a month and pay for both of our uniforms, no lets go before they close." Sesshomaru nodded and shook her hand.
Kagome soon was enveloped in a blue orb, and there stood Kagome, back in her normal clothes. Sesshomaru then proceeded to change back in his form and look at Kagome, his brows furrowing together in confusion. He open his mouth, and closed it again. He opened, but closed it again once more.
Kagome getting irritated by this, gave him an half-heartedly annoyed look. "What is it?"
Sesshomaru finally blurted out, "Your hair is still long, and a different color."
Kagome looked at Sesshomaru strangely and reached behind her head. to find that instead of having short, straight hair, she had thick, wavy locks that reached up to her waist. Her eyes widened as she took a piece of her hair and looked at it. She almost fainted when she saw long, wavy, midnight purple locks. She then grabbed her eartails, and noticed they too hand grown, and were now wavy as well.
"Please, please don't tell me that my eyes are golden." Kagome gave Sesshomaru a pleading look
Sesshomaru sighed and looked at the gorgeous being in front of him, "Would I be lying to you, if I said you didn't?
Kagome sighed and buried her head into her hands."Not now, this can't be happening to me!"
Sesshomaru's right eyebrow raised as he looked at the sulking figure. "Care to explain?"
Kagome looked at her wristwatch. "No, no time! The student store. I'll explain later."
Sesshomaru nodded and followed Kagome into the student store. Kagome walked up to the desk and greeted the young lady that sat near the desk. "Hi! I would like to buy two uniforms please! One male, and one female."
The young woman nodded and started writing out receipts. "That will come out to be 5,000 yen Higurashi-san." Kagome nodded and went to retrieve her walled from her carrier bag, but was stopped by a elegant pale hand. "Do not worry about Miss Kagome. I will pay for it."
Kagome looked at Sesshomaru for 3 seconds before she shook her head from side to side furiously. "No, no Sesshomaru-kun! I couldn't!" Kagome heaved in an out deeply.
"It's quite alright, I have enough." Sesshomaru smiled to prove his point.
"No, no, out of the question!" She breathed.
Sesshomaru put a reassuring hand on her shoulder. "Miss Kagome, I am doing this because I want to, not because I feel obligated to."
"But-but, we made a deal."
"Ok then, we also made a deal that you would have to do whatever I told you for a month. Your going to let me pay your uniform as well as mine."
Kagome was hesitant at first, but then nodded slowly. Sesshomaru cracked a small smile and patted her gently on the head. When Sesshomaru was done paying for the uniform, he and Kagome observed it.
The uniform consisted of a white sailor hanker shift with dark blue stripes. It had a white short sleeved shirt under the dark blue long sleeved coat. The skirt was very short with wide parted pleated creases. It was also dark blue. Kagome smiled at her uniform and huggled it tightly. "I like my uniform Sessho-kun!" came Kagome's happy voice.
"It quite like it my
self, I just don't know about mine." Sesshomaru looked at his uniform distastefully.
"It's pretty much the same as all uniforms in Japan. I like mine better."
Sesshomaru growled, "But yours wouldn't look good on me will it?!"
"Gee Sesshomaru calm down, b'sides, I bet it would look great on you!" Kagome stopped walking and put her index finger on her bottom lip in thought.
"STOP imagining me!" Sesshomaru all but yelled.
"What?! You looked pretty cute! I mean with that girly face of yours." Kagome taunted.
Sesshomaru crossed his arms in front of his chest and continued walking ahead of Kagome. "HEY! Where are you going?"
"Your house."
Kagome jogged towards Sesshomaru, and started walking beside him."How do you know where I live?"
"I don't"
Kagome started getting frustrated at his short answers. "Then how do you're going in the right direction?"
"Scent."
"How do you know what I smell like?" Kagome asked incredeously.
"It's clung to my lips."
"Huh?" Kagome stopped once more as you furrowed her eyebrows in confusion.
Sesshomaru stopped and turned around to find a highly confused Kagome staring back at him. He walked towards her slowly, almost sensuously as a smirk appeared on his face. He stopped in front of her and grasped her chin with his index finger, making her look up at him. He brought his face close to left cheek, directly next to the end of her mouth. His hot breath tickled the side of her mouth as she shivered on reflex. "Would you like me to refresh your mind?" Kagome kept silent, dazed by the sensations running down and up her spinal cord.
Sesshomaru's smirk grew. He dipped his head bringing his lips close to Kagome's before-
"Oi, Sesshomaru!"

/AN: Well I hope all of you enjoyed this semi-eventful chapter. All I know is that I had a hard time writing it, and didn’t come out quite like I hope it would. Also I think I am going to write a new story, for all those Kurama/Kagome fans out there! I really have a lot of stories running through my head, and I want to get it out in the open. PS: For those of you who have noticed how Sesshomaru has been OCC, well this chapter, I think, explains why. He has to seperate beings in him, one of which is his more 'humanoid', not exactly human self, and his primal demon self, which is more like the demon you guys know and love!
