Nazuna saw the red blur in the distant and her heart stopped. It had been only once she ever had seen that kind of redness and that redness had been her hanyou's outfit. Could it really be him? She would not dare to hope, she closed her eyes for a second and looked again, the red blur were still there and it closed in on her. "No Nazuna, don't let your hopes be killed. Just turn around and walk back home again." The voice in her head said and she did what it told her. She turned around and began walking the small path back to her house.

Shippou frowned and sniffed the air; he was familiar with the scent. It belonged to that girl Nazuna, but why was she turning her back against them.

-          Hurry Inuyasha!

-          Yeah, Yeah…

Inuyasha took a giant leap and landed in front of the short haired girl. She shrieked in fear and grabbed a stick to protect herself.

-          Hey, take it easy lady, said Inuyasha and took hold of the branch and threw it away. You could poke someone's eye out with that.

-          W-who are you? she asked, knowing perfectly well who he was.

-          Little girl, I can smell a lie a mile away, and you know who I am, smirked Inuyasha and flashed a fanged grin.

-          Do you remember me too? asked Shippou excitedly.

-          I don't remember you name, but you were a full youkai, am I right? said Nazuna and smiled towards the kitsune.

-          I am Shippou, and I am a fox youkai, said the boy and puffed his chest in pride.

-          It is nice to see you again. What are you doing in these parts?

-          We wanted to meet you again. Since our Hunt for Shikon no Tama is over we have been bored so we decided to travel again. And we thought it would be nice to meet you too, smiled Shippou.

Inuyasha sniffed the air discreetly and frowned when he found a alluring scent, and it was coming from Nazuna. He looked into her eyes for the first time and was surprised to see them to be as green as the dark ocean. It was a colour he never had seen before.

-          Would you like to spend the night inside a house? I have not much, but maybe a dinner and a cup of saké? asked Nazuna and tried to tare her eyes away from his intense gaze. "Why is he looking at me like that?"

-          We would be grateful for just a roof over our heads, said Inuyasha and followed the girl's footsteps.

Nazuna was sure they could hear her heartbeat. "He is going to sleep inside my house." she thought and her breath was caught in her throat. She could not help but wonder where that odd looking girl was. She decided that she needed to know and she turned around to face the two again.

-          Umm, I have a question, she began.

-          What is it? wondered Inuyasha.

-          That girl… the one with those strange clothes, where is she?

-          She went home to her own country, it was about two years ago, right after we had completed the Shikon no Tama, said Inuyasha and he was sure he saw relief wash over her face. "She is acting very strange."

-          Ohh, I am sorry, said Nazuna without meaning it at all.

-          Why did you want to know about Kagome? asked Shippou innocently.

-          Just curious, that's all, she lied.

Inuyasha knew she was lying, but he could not think of why she would lie about such a thing. She was acting very strange. "Almost like Sango before Miroku got his cursed hand out of his ass and proposed to her…" the thought hit him hard and he felt his palms get a bit warmer. And he did not get any better by looking at her swaying rounded form in front of him. "What the hell is this??" he swore silently.

Shippou was the only one who was blessed without knowledge of what took place between them. He knew something was up but he never could figure it out why adults behaved like they did from time to time.

-          Well, this is where I live, said Nazuna and showed them the house.

It was beautiful, located near the stream and it was surrounded by a beautiful garden. Since it was summer the garden was in full bloom. But what Inuyasha noticed was that all the flowers were red or white, no other colours, just red and white. "She must really like those colours." He thought and smiled as he looked down on his own clothes.

-          Please come inside, she said and showed them into her house.

-          Thank you Nazuna-san, said Shippou and scouted off Inuyasha's shoulder and headed first into the house.

-          Welcome to my home Inuyasha-sama, she whispered.

-          Don't call me that, Inuyasha is just fine, he stated.

-          O-ok…

"Why do you smell like a sweet fruit?"he pondered as he ventured into her house. He was met by a wall of her unique scent and he cursed the fact that it made him aroused. This was something completely new to him. Never had anyone's scent done this to him, why did it happen now? He growled under his breath and took place at the small table where she showed him to sit down.

-          Please wait here, I will make something for you to eat, she mumbled and disappeared into the kitchen area.

She had managed to get her a very exclusive house. Not many people had a house with several rooms, unless you where wealthy. But it was very it was not so well decorated. A table, four cushions, a bureau was all that was inside the living room. But as Inuyasha took a look around he saw the room where she slept, and he saw a room full of quilts and weaving material. He was not a skilled man when it came down to judge weaving but what he saw had him very impressed. It explained why she could have a house with three rooms and a kitchen. A loud crash brought him back to reality. He took one giant leap into the kitchen, afraid she might have hurt herself. He saw her sitting on her knees, around her on the floor laid pottery shards.

-          Are you ok Nazuna? he asked and slumped down in front of her.

-          Y-yes.. I just dropped the bowl.. she stammered, feeling a bit uncomfortable with the closeness with the hanyou.

-          Are you sure?

-          Yes, I am fine, she whispered and managed to collect the pottery shards and she rose to her feet. She froze when she felt his arm around her waist, helping her to get up.

-          Do you need any help Nazuna, I would like to help if you want me to, he said and looked into those dark olive whirlpools that were her eyes.

-          No, please sit down, I will be with you shortly, she whispered with a broken voice and he nodded.

Nazuna saw him get back into the other room and she tried to breathe normally, but her chest felt like it had shrunk, it was not enough room for her to breathe any more.

How she managed she was not sure, but she got some food on the table and she saw both Inuyasha and Shippou eat with good appetite, and they did not wrinkled their noses, which was a good thing. They liked her food.

-          Ahhh!! That was so good Nazuna-san, said Shippou and patted his full stomach.

-          I am glad you liked it, said Nazuna with a smile and brushed a few black strands behind her ear.

-          You are very handy in the kitchen, said Inuyasha and were a bit surprised when he saw the deep blush on her cheeks.

-          Thank you Inuyasha-sama, she said and bowed towards him.

Inuyasha sighed and shook his head. He needed her to understand that she did not have to call him -sama, it made him feel very… no he had no word for it right now.

She protested when he helped her take away the dishes, but he just ignored her and did as he pleased. In the corner of his eyes he saw Shippou turn around on his cushion, like he was making a nest of some sort, and then he fall into a deep sleep. It had been a long day for the little boy and Inuyasha was glad for this shelter.

-          Please Inuyasha-sa.. Inuyasha, you don't have to help me with this, said Nazuna and fought the blush that wanted to take over her face again.

-          I want too, now accept it, he simply said.

Nazuna looked defeated and she did not argue anymore, but she felt very embarrassed by the whole thing. When they were finished with the dishes he motioned her to follow him outside into the garden.
