A/N- HI! I'm am soooooo sooooooo soooooo sorry I haven't updated! I've just been so busy! But those reviews really did help! This chapter is totally dedicated to Icesk8er *Katie* your review really helped me, thanks for putting me in your favorites! And I'd like to say, HAPPY BELATED B-DAY!! HOPED YOU HAD A GOOD ONE!!! Remember all you other peoples, REVIEW! Oh, and to answer a question from one of my other reviewers, the doctor isn't freaked out by Inuyasha's clothing because he's used to it. He's a doctor, he sees wired things everyday, and to him Inuyasha is just a weird little man in a doggy ear head band.

 

 

The night stars twinkled high above the little clearing, and the shadows danced upon the tree line from the thriving fire. Inuyasha had stalled long enough, and he had to tell them sometime, but it was just so hard to relive those memories. Seeing Kagome in that bloody pulp and the look in her eyes just before she lost conciseness, she needed him, and he knew it. Maybe she was just trying to act tough before, but none of that mattered anymore.

When she looked into his eyes, and he saw the pain and torment in her chocolate brown ones, something inside just snapped. And he knew that this was worse than any demon could have ever done. He recalled finding her family, and waiting...waiting for Kagome to wake up, only to have his heart ripped out of his chest and stomped on when she would start screaming and writhing in pain. He knew she needed him there, but there was nothing he could do. He would just hold her; let her know that she truly wasn't alone. And before long, she would be asleep again, leaving Inuyasha to wait until the next time she awoke.

"Inuyasha" said Sango looking at him with concern, "Something the matter?"

"No" he said and he looked up to the faces of Shippo, Sango and Miroku. It felt kind of weird to be back, and not have Kagome by his side laughing into the fire. "There's no easy way to say this" He started. It was time to get this over with. He took in a deep breath and steadied himself. "When I went back to get Kagome from her time, I found her...her father had beaten her. Hard." He paused to let it all sink in. Sango just stared at him, and then gasped. Her eyes welling up with tears, and a look of horror swept across her face.

"I heard him run out the back door just as I entered. I found her family and took them to a hospital...W-where they treat the injured" He stuttered as the images flashed anew in his mind.

Sango couldn't hold it in any longer. Those few short sentences gave her some of the worst news in her life. Kagome had become like a sister to her, and now it sounded like she was almost dead. The tears started to flow freely from her eyes and she leaned over to Miroku, to cry on his shoulder. He wrapped his arms around her, and stroked her hair as she continued to sob. Kagome was in trouble, and there was nothing she could do about it. Inuyasha decided that he would save the rest for later, and ended his news.

"But Kagome's getting better, she woke up and she's getting stronger...it won't be long until she's back here huntig shards with us" He tried to calm Sango down, but he knew part of what he just said was a lie. Sure she was getting better, but the doctor said to would be a long time until she could walk again....he decided to leave Sango and Miroku alone with this news but just as he got up to leave he heard Sango start to sputter.

"W-wait Inuyasha" she said as she lifted her head from Miroku's shoulder. "Next time you go back...I'm going with you"
