Blinded By a Glance: A one-shot
Vaulting over the lip of the well, Kagome dusted her hands off and dropped her burden of a heavy, yellow backpack. The air was clean and crisp as it filled her lungs and spread throughout her. This sort of air, it was good for the soul. While feudal Japan may not of not of held any of the current conveniences of her time in modern Japan, it had many things that her home did not. Most importantly, it had her beloved friends, it had mythical beings, and it had fresh air. Maybe one day she'd bottle some of the air and take it home with her. She laughed at her silly idea. Grasping the strap of her bag, she hauled it over her shoulder and stumbled slightly as her foot rolled across an unseen rock beneath it.
Although she knew the way to Kaede's village through Inuyasha's forest, it was getting dark quickly as the sun set steadily whilst playing peek-a-boo with the clouds. It would be dangerous for her to travel through the woods alone for any period of time. Speaking of Inuyasha, Kagome wondered where he was. By now, he should have been dragging her back to the past after retrieving her from her room, yet he wasn't. Maybe he was still on his way back from hunting a jewel shard or from searching for Naraku... More than likely, though, he was with his darling Kikyo. The thought was almost crippling, not quite though. Her feet padded softly upon the lush grass beneath her as she ambled lazily and sadly across the clearing in the trees where the well resided. So lost in her thoughts, she didn't even notice the presence that had approached her. He'd be here soon - she was sure of it. A snapping twig confirmed her suspicion and she spun on her heels to happily greet her Hanyou companion. Only, it wasn't her companion; it wasn't any of her jewel shard hunting companions.
Kagome stared in shock at the scars that marred his skin. They hadn't been there the last time she'd seen him - which was not so long ago. They looked like long, twisted pink ribbons held by some invisible force across his closed eye. Yet even as altered as his features were, she could never forget that one piercing, hauntingly beautiful golden eye and to whom it belonged.
“Sesshomaru…” She uttered quietly, near breathless.
Tall and stoic, the demon lord that stood before her was intimidating in stature. Her gaze was held transfixed by his. Something within it called to her and she took a hesitant step towards him as her pack slipped from her shoulder only to land with a `thud' on the ground. There was grief and shame, there was anger and pride, and there was so much more along with some things Kagome could not identify held captive in his gaze. Never before had she seen the arrogant dog demon in front of her express so much emotion. Or perhaps he always had and she had never paid attention to it before. How could she have possibly been so blind?
She swayed towards him, compelled to reach out for him. He stood rigid, as if waiting to kill, and she moved slowly, as if waiting to be killed. Fingertips met cheek and she caressed the broadest of the scars. His one and only eye followed her motions as she came closer leaving but an inch of space between herself and the killing perfection. Yet, she noted almost wryly, that perfection was no more. How could he possibly be perfect when he was missing now not only an arm but his eye as well? Yet he was. He was absolutely perfect.
Her hand moved slowly as she traced downwards to the emblazoned demonic stripes on his face. They stood as a stark testament to his heritage and he shivered when she'd finished following them. It was simple and obvious enough, what she was seeing first and foremost, Kagome realized. It was need. The need to find in someone else, a flaw akin to his own and apparently, Kagome was it.
It was not the conventional lust that drove her to tug him closer to her by his long, silken locks of silvery moonlight. It was not lust that drove her to place her lips softly upon his scarred flesh after he conceded to her and leaned down and forwards towards her. It not lust that drove him to wrap his single upper limb about her and draw her completely against him. It was most definitely not lust that drove him to press his own lips demandingly against hers. It was something much more; it was something that ran so much deeper in them both.
Kagome grimaced at the feeling of his solid, spiked armor pressing against her soft front. He took notice and stepped back long enough to part from her to divulge one of the many barriers between them. In mere seconds, they were again firmly against one another. Roaming hands found the front of his kimono and unhurriedly pulled it open as deadly claws gently made quick work of the buttons of her shirt.
Their bare skin gleamed in the moonlight, bringing with it Kagome's understanding of what was about to happen. That didn't stop her from finishing taking off his outer top, nor did it stop her from taking off his inner one either. Sesshomaru's lips warm, incessant, and needy met her earlobe and drifted lower to her neck. They drifted lower to her collarbone and still lower to the skin above her pounding, racing heart.
Kagome shyly skimmed her fingers across his bare chest and the twin deep magenta stripes that framed his pectorals. He froze, as if stunned, before moaning lowly, carnally against her chest. Her hands shifted then to the ones that began at his hips and framed the sharp, hard ridges of his abdominal muscles. They were both shaking in their need as his heat passed like an electric current to her and she tried to draw even closer to it. She was addicted.
Layer by layer of clothing was shed until the only thing that remained between them was the night. Sesshomaru bent her backwards until Kagome felt sure her spine would break under the force of his kisses. Falling backwards, they landed in a head on the ground; he was careful not to crush her beneath his weight. A soft giggle escaped Kagome as the grass tickled her sides and a light, feathery eyebrow arched up into his hairline leaving her with a smile. She could feel his need pressed against her bare thighs and she herself let loose a throaty moan as something low within her tightened. The butterflies in her stomach that had arisen to the thought that they could be caught had long since flown away. It didn't matter. All that matter right now was this… this ecstasy.
Eyes closed and head tilted back with her raven locks framing her face in a dark halo of glory, Sesshomaru could feel his beast within struggling against the bonds that shackled it down. He couldn't understand his reasoning for being so close to the human woman beneath him - his brother's human woman no less. Even if he could understand it, it wouldn't be likely to change anything. He would still be where he was, pressed against her. He was aching in pleasure to the point of being pained. His passion throbbing, he parted her knees with one of his own before stopping to wait.
Kagome was confused. Why had Sesshomaru stopped? Was it because he finally realized that she wasn't worthy of him? Was it because she was a mere human and he was repulsed? Eyes laden with lust and pleading, she arched upwards against him and he down against her. She finally spoke softly then - one single, simple word.
“Please.”
And that was all Sesshomaru needed to hear. Swiftly he entered her, shattering her maidenhood and coming to rest deep within her folds. Kagome gasped as she felt him slide against her. There was no pain as she had thought there would be. There was only intense bliss. Months of hiking, fighting demons, and physical exertion had long ago worn away her hymen leaving her a virgin without a barrier of protection. Moving tenderly against one another, Kagome could feel something building within her. She didn't know what it was only that it had to keep building or she would surely die.
Sesshomaru restrained himself; he wanted nothing more then to pound into the fragile being below him as she gripped him tight. But he knew that she was just that: fragile. He'd be damned if he broke her and so he continued to fight his more instinctual urges. Why? He didn't know. There was something about her, about the moment, that he did not want to break. He'd been searching for this ever since he'd lost his eye to his honor. What ever “this” was.
Kagome's vision began to blur and she closed her eyes as he continued to rock into her and she continued to roll against him. Intertwined, she could feel something happening on a level neither could control. Her miko powers fluctuated against his beast and they seemed to wrestle for a moment before coupling in harmony. Something within Kagome triggered an explosion and white lights danced before her closed eyes. Sesshomaru felt the priestesses release and he pounded furiously into her in order to join her. His seed released into her and he came with a fierce roar; declaring to the night their euphoria.
It was slowly, as she was coming off of her high, that Kagome began to ponder what had just happened, not only just now between them but to his eye as well. And she hoped, one day, she might find out the answer to the second part of her question since she was fairly certain she knew the answer to the first.

Author's End Note:
Well, I hope you enjoyed it.
I suppose that wasn't too bad for a first time lemon? Maybe?
I think I liked where this story was going so I might continue it if it doesn't get reviews that tell me otherwise. Ch'yeah right, I'll probably continue it just for that sake of that I have an idea for a plot now that's not just smut.
For now though, it's standing as a One-shot.
Tell me what you think, Review please <3
