“They're gone!” Kagome sat, rummaging through her bag in a desperate search for her Jewel shards. She stood up in a panic and began searching the camp thinking they may had fallen out of her bag. Thank God Inuyahsa was out hunting for breakfast, or there would be hell to pay.
Miroku was meditating somewhere, and Sango had gone for a walk to stretch her sore muscles. The only ones left in camp were Shippo and Kirara. They were both sleeping. Inuyasha was going to be furious that the shards were missing. Not really wanting to deal with Inuyasha's fury, she decided to wander outside the camp to try and find that shards.
Kagome left Shippo and Kirara sleeping by the fire.

His eyes followed her as she left the camp. He sneered at her foolishness at wondering off without Inuyasha protecting her. But then again, the half-breed got her into more trouble than he did protecting her. He kept his distance so she wouldn't sense him.
Over the years, he had watched the group and their battles with Naraku. As of a few months before his fascination with the young miko had grown and he found himself following the group, just to watch her.
He stood in the shadow of the trees, and watched her for several minuets before she collapsed on the ground. The scent of tears came to him. She was crying. Human emotion was so foreign to him, and his curiosity got the better of him. With his demonic speed, he went to her.

Kagome sat on the ground, with her head buried in her hands, crying. She was so frustrated. How could she have LOST the Jewel shards? Inuyasha would be furious for sure. She had never been so careless before. He would probabley send her home, or something else that would require her to sit him several-HUNDRED times.
A strong breeze pushed her forward, making her lose her balance. She caught herself on her hands, and saw a pair of black shoes in front of her. She saw that they were connected to a white silk hamaka. She looked up and gasped.
“Sesshomaru.”
