300 years earlier. A shadow flashed past the crystal blue lake. A woman was standing at the lakes edge. She had beautiful black hair that made the raven seem grey. Her eyes were just as blue as the lake she was staring at. Her skin looked as pale as the moon. Three black dots on her forehead showed she was a priestess. She wore armor and had a bow in her left hand. A quiver of arrows was strung loosely on her back. The shadow moved closer to her. As the shadow emerged from the forest edge and into the moonlight it was clear she was a demon. The demoness has hair that shown silver like the moonlight dancing in the lake. Her eyes were such bright amber that they seemed to glow when touched by the moonlight. She too wore armor but had no weapon in sight. Her ears twitched at the slightest noise. They wear dog ears and twitched often to show the uneasiness she was in. She came closer till she was five feet from the woman at the edge of the lake. Her claws glistened and she jumped at the woman. The woman took two steps to the left and evaded the demon. The demon was in shock and fell into the lake. The woman laughed and asked gently," Jeana are you okay?" Jeana got up, now soaked, and replied," I'm okay, but how did you know I was there Modoriko?" Modoriko laughed and pointed to the water," I saw your reflection." Jeana stared in disbelief then her lips curved into a smile showing her glittering white teeth. She hit the water and sent it spraying down on Modoriko. Modoriko was stunned but soon she too had a smile and splashed Jeana back. This water fight lasted well into the night. As they trudged out of the water soaking in their armor laughing, a cold wind blew through the wet cloths. They soon had a fire going and had changed into dry cloths. Jeana had a grin look about her. Modoriko seemed to notice and asked concerned," Jeana what ales you so?" Jeana continued to stare into the flames and replied crossly," My pack is being killed off there is so few of us left. The dog demons are being wiped off this continent!" Modoriko shared her friends pain she had lost her family to thieves, but to lose everyone of your kind would be even more painful. Jeana continued to glare into the fire. Shadows danced at the forest's edge and two came closer to the cave and more followed. A huge demon came out of the lake and joined the rest in coming to the cave. Jeana stood and turned to the mouth of the cave," Modoriko we have company!" Modoriko gabbed her sword and bow. The demons attacked and both Jeana and Modoriko fought for their lives. They fought for seven days till the last demon sank its teeth into Modoriko. She forced it soul into her body, but in doing so her soul and its soul was thrust out of her body in the form of a jewel. Jeana screamed," Modoriko! WHY DID YOU HAVE TO DO THAT WHY?" Tears streamed down her face she had lost her only friend. She picked up the jewel and felt power surge through her. She went to find her clan. With the jewel they could kill their enemy and live in peace again. The jewel was a last gift from Modoriko.

~~~~~~~~~Dog Demon Tribe Council~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Sikako a very greedy dog demon spoke," You did very good Jeana." Jeana nodded her head and answered," Thank you, now we can destroy our enemies and live in peace once more." Sikako laughed," Why, when we can do so much more." Jeana answered coldly," The jewel is to be used only for good." Kieto, Shessomaru's mother, glared and mocked," You always were too soft hearted for your own good, befriending a human." Jeana turned on him and growled," I should have expected you to turn on me." * Inuyasha's father* spoke over the two," Jeana, the whole pack has decided to use the jewel and gain control over everything." Jeana stared in disbelief. * Inuyasha's father* continued," Jeana you will hand the jewel over or be punished in eternal slumber. I hope it won't come to that." Jeana snarled," Of course you do. You are all despicable. She gave her life and gave us a chance to save ourselves and you think of world domination. The hatred and greed will kill you all!" Kieto struck her across the face and yelled," WE ARE DISBICABLE! WHEN YOU ASSOCIATE WITH HUMANS! NONE THE LESS A PRIESTESS!" Jeana scowled at her and responded," She was more then any of you will ever be. She had a soul unlike you!" Keito grabbed her by the hair and Sikako took the jewel. *Inuyasha's father* put her under a spell rendering her in a deep slumber. There she lay for 300 years betrayed by the very people she sought to save.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~To Inuyasha~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Inuyasha and Kagome sat at the edge of a lake. The moon reflected in the crystal blue lake. The wind picked up bringing a foul stench with it. Ripples vibrated through the lake obscuring the moon's reflection and the figure at the forests edge.

Kagome asked," Inuyasha you look a little pale, what is the matter?" Inuyasha replied," I don't like the scent I'm picking up." Kagome questioned," Is it something bad…" A scream ripped from Kagome's throat, but only lasted a few seconds as Inuyasha fell to the ground. Blood was everywhere and a body was slumped over the lakes edge. Hair was swaying with the current of the water, their eyes open in shock and horror. Then blood blurred the face from view.
