Chapter one: I'm not in Kansasanymore:
The air held chill in it, a chill that seamed uncommon for the season. It sent waves of shivers pulsing through Stacy. “I wanna go home!” she demanded as she hugged her knees to her chest in a protective stance. She froze as her shrill echoed through the small room; she scanned the other occupants of the room hoping her outburst hadn't stuerd any of them out of there slumber. She had finally accepted that the others weren't human, but rather seamed to be different types of creatures. In the corner of her eye she attempted to study a girl lying next to her. She shared both human and cat like features. Stacy studied the cuffs on the cat's wrists. It seamed anyone who wasn't a human was wearing them. `Do they drain there energy… making it impossible for them to fight? She thought to herself trying to pick apart her situation Envy played over Stacy's emotions, `how can they all sleep…they are all prisoners''. Her mind slowly drifted into thoughts of the week before her arrival to this world. Like a dense fog they plagued her thoughts causing her no choice but to allow them to continue.

The week before

It was a warm evening. And the humidity was almost haunting; it clung to Stacy's form much as a small child would. Such heat was very common for the forest during the summer months, it always seamed to be slightly warmer then the homely little neiborhood in which it resided. But this night the heat seamed to be hypmatizing, causing a feeling of being sedated for Stacy. She now found herself coming to the forest on routine now; she liked to call it her hide away. She came again this evening and after several minutes upon her arrival she started to feel sedated. Unknowing of her movements her jog soon turned into a slow stride and she found herself tangled with the heat. The heat did no help in suppressing the Fog that lingered inches from the forest vegetation. A soft hum filled the air as a song she herd that morning spilled over her lips. She continued her stride as the forest floor slowly fell apart before her. The sharp “crack” and “pop” of twigs rang a warning cry, but were muffled under her lullaby. It wasn't until the floor beneath her abruptly caved inward that Stacy realized what was happening. “Oh shit!” she shrieked as her knees buckled one with the ground. Her fear spiked as she realized the forest around her was betraying her. This was supposed to be a safe place, her safe place. Now the forest was anything but safe. it shook and quivered until finally the ground let go completely. Stacy felt like screaming, or even crying, but It would do no help……she was falling.

End flash back

Stacy became rather focused on a patch of dirt as she pondered her situation. `One second im walking through the forest the next im in a different world…..as a slave' the situation seamed so hard to believe, something didn't seam to be adding up. She had walked through that forest just about a hundred times with no sign of danger or anything out of the ordinary why then? Why her?

A bright light spilled into the shadowed room bathing everyone in its light. Stacy was quick to realize the light wasn't the moons, the door had been opened. Stacy shot an angry glace at the silhouette that stood in the door frame, she brushed her once smooth upper arm that was now marred with a gash. The other prisoners were now awake and waiting. The silloute moved towards her, the clink of keys could be hered only confirming her suspicions, it was the guard who had caused her gash, the one who has first captured her after her fall from her world into this one. He seamed to enjoy making Stacy miserable and she expected he again came to make her feel this way. It wasn't until the demon stood right before her that her heart beat quickened and she hoped that maybe just maybe she had by some stroke of luck turned invisible. Shadows played across his face as his features became more visible. His long dark hair was ties into a braid but a few strands escaped and hung in front of his face. He smiled allowing two fangs to taunt her. “I know you fear me human….I can smell it” his voice was just low enough for her to here. “You hide it well” sitting up straight Stacy tried to hide any signs of fear. And grew angry at her as her heart betrayed her.

“You will come with me now” he smiled as her heart beat started to beat even more sporadically indicting her fear for him. He new she feared him he was a demon he could easily read every emotion that washed through this human's body. But it angered him that she tried to hide it from him; and it angered him even more when she fought agents him. Or tried to defy him. “Get up!” he hissed as he kicked dirt at her. Stacy did nothing but cough and wheeze making him grow angry “I said Get up!” he boomed grabbing her upper arm making it a point to grab the gash he had given her. She mentally shrieked in both pain and terror as she was forced to her feet. Stacy felt her gash burn as she was pulled from the room. But continued to hide her pain. All the proof there was of Stacys true fear was a lone tear that trickled down her cheek.

To be continued……
