Chapter 5

 

 

The girls were giggling again. Inuyasha felt guilty: spying on them all the time. He just couldn't help himself. This time, he couldn't hear them that well because only one window was open. Usually, the balcony door was open and he could hear them clearly.

 

It was about ten when they went to bed.

 

Inuyasha instinctively woke up at 12:30. He didn't hear anyone downstairs. At about 12:45, he heard a door opening and someone walking down the stairs. He smirked and got up.

“Hi,” he said, sitting down, surprised to see a plate ready for him.

“You're late,” Kagome joked.

“Having a good dream,” he apologized, flashing her a seductive smile that clearly said about you… “thank you,” he said, pointing at the plate when she stopped blushing.

“You're welcome,” she smiled, blushing hotly again. What's wrong with me!? Kagome stop blushing like a teenager!

“This is like a ritual…” he said, digging into his cake.

“Yeah…We should do this every night.”

“Yeah,” he smiled.

“What are you doing tomorrow night?”

“Tomorrow night?”

“Yeah. Do you have any plans?”

“Um…no...” he was surprised she would even ask. He was supposed to stay with her 24/7.

“You know, you can take a break from me once in a while… and since tomorrow is Saturday, I thought you might have…a date…” she blushed.

“Oh, well I don't,” he reassured her.

“Good. Ever went to `Midnight release'?” He shook his head. “It's a night club close to here. Sango and Miroku want us to double date. You want to go with them?” she asked, looking away.

“Us, as in…?”

“As in…a date…?” she asked, praying to the gods he wouldn't laugh in her face.

“Sure,” he smirked at her flustered state.

“Shhhhh!!!” Sango hissed Hitomi.

“They are soooo cute!” she whispered.

“I know…” she sighed.

“Is this bad?”

“What?”

“Spying on them like this…?”

“Yes it is,” somebody else whispered: Ayumi, “but who cares?” she said, sitting next to them on the staircase.

Sango chuckled. Ayumi was one of Kagome's two maids. She was the funniest girl ever.

“I seriously think you shouldn't eat cake every night,” Inuyasha started.

“Oh, shut up,” Kagome snapped.

“Fine. Care for some push-ups?” he asked with a smirk.

“Nooo,” Kagome said, blushing hard.

“Oh, was it that bad kissing me?” he teased.

“I - no…but I - ”

“So? Afraid I'll beat you again?”

“Not one bit! And what if you do anyway? You're supposed to, you're a bodyguard. You're supposed to be strong and manly and - ” She stopped, realizing what she was saying, but it was too late, she blushed eight shades of red as Inuyasha leaned in and kissed her cheek, “Good night,” he said, as he walked away, hiding the huge grin on his face. She couldn't resist him.

“Kags, you don't sleep enough,” Kikyo said at breakfast the next morning.

Kagome nodded, thoughtful. She jumped when her cell phone rang.

 

“Kags, babe, you didn't call,” Koga said over the phone.

“Koga…” she started. Inuyasha stiffened on his seat.

“Look, I don't want to fight with you. If you're not ready for me, I'll wait. Just don't deny me completely, please.”

“Um…okay…” Inuyasha finally caught her gaze, questioning. She looked at him sadly and sighed.

“Throw him off,” he mouthed. She shrugged.

“Okay babe, dinner tonight?” Koga asked.

“No, I…have a date…” she blushed.

“Oh,” he replied coldly.

 

They said their goodbyes and Kagome hung up. Inuyasha looked at her questioningly.

“He wanted a date tonight…”

“And you said you had a date,” he completed, smiling.

“Yeah.”

“He didn't ask with who?” Sango asked.

“No… I guess that's weird…”

“Yeah. So with who?” Kikyo asked, jumping right to her point of interest.

“Um…” she blushed, “Inuyasha… but it's a double date…”

 

Kikyo cringed, “Oh…” she said, excusing herself. Kagome looked at Sango, confused. She shrugged.

The rest of the day wasn't really interesting. Kagome and Sango went to the gym and then they went shopping for bathing suits. Inuyasha wouldn't have said no to walk in the store with them, but Kagome wouldn't let him. He never really understood why but complied.

 

They then went back to the villa to get ready for the evening. Inuyasha got ready and stood on the balcony, listening to the girls decide on what they were going to wear. They were apparently flipping through their `clothes manual' and were laughing at the stupid things written in it. (A/N: I so want to have one =P that'd be so fun!!)

 

“If he doesn't fall for you tonight, he is so gay!” Kagome squealed when Sango was ready.

“Yeah, sure. What about Yashie?” she teased. Kagome blushed but didn't answer.

“Hey Kag - ” Inuyasha started, but he wasn't able to finish his sentence - hell, not even his word! - when he saw the girl he was flipping for. She was wearing a tight hot pink tank top, a black mini skirt with two hot pink stripes on each side and black lacy heels. Her hair was is a high pony-tail which made her face look ever prettier. Her only make up was a little pink gloss and black eyeliner.

 

Kagome smiled and blushed, “Thanks, you look nice too…” she whispered. He blushed Oh, Kagome, what are you doing to me? He wondered.

 

Sango giggled and went to answer the door. Miroku was supposed to drive them.

 

“Hey, Miro!” she flirted.

“Hey baby…” he said seductively and kissed her lightly on the neck. She blushed furiously.

 

Kagome looked at them, smirking, “Okay lovers, let's go have some fun!” she laughed as she walked out the door, pulling Inuyasha behind her.

“You again?” the bouncer greeted Miroku when they arrived. Sango looked at him confused. He just grinned and the bouncer let them in.

 

The music was very loud inside. 1,2 step was playing. Sango and Kagome were excited to get in. They just had the time to drop their purses on a table and there were guys everywhere around them, asking for dances. Miroku was very possessive though, and so was Inuyasha. They stood dangerously close to their dates and shot death glares at any guy who would even think of asking them to dance.

 

They went to dance when the song Temperature by Sean Paul started playing. Inuyasha held Kagome's hips as he danced with her. Tonight, she's mine, he thought possessively. He released her hair from the tight elastic.

 

“Much better,” he whispered into her ear. She blushed.

 

He buried his face in her hair, taking in her strong scent. Nothing would have made him happier at that moment. And nothing would have made him unhappier, a second later, then Koga taking her away from him.

 

“Hey babe,” he greeted her seductively, pulling her away from Inuyasha's grasp.

“Hey!” Inuyasha yelled before Kagome could react, “Don't you touch her!”

“Oh, you're here,” Koga said as if he had just seen him, “who are you to tell me what to do?”

“I'm her date,” he pointed out. Kagome blushed and gently pulled her hands away from Koga's hold.

“He's you date Kags?” Koga asked, surprised, “seriously, you can do better.”

“Like you?” Inuyasha snorted.

“Hell yeah.”

“Oh really, well - ”

“Stop it guys,” Kagome said, stepping between them, “I'm on a date,” she paused, “but that doesn't mean I can't dance with you Koga.”

Inuyasha glared at her, “excuse me?” he said, “I beg to differ!”

Kagome was surprised at his reaction, “Oh, but I can,” she said.

“And you will.” Koga finished, pulling her farther from an oh so pissed Inuyasha. He didn't let them go that easily.

“If you so much as touch her…” he left the threat hanging.

“Oh, why don't you just go f - ”

“Wow! Stop it!” Kagome cut him.

“Look, let's just let Kags decide.” Inuyasha said.

“You're on!”

“Huh…” Kagome whispered. She had to choose?
