Disclaimer: I don't own any of the Inu Yasha characters. I'm just borrowing them. I'll give them back i promise.

Fluffy: Wow that has to be the shortest start to a chapter I've ever seen.

Lez: Uh huh.

Canni: I need some wraps. *Picks up my math book* Oh free papers.

Announcement: Italicized are spoken in English. I don't feel like writing he or she said in English after every one so i think this will remedy that. Also remember that Shippou has a British accent when he speaks English the reason for that will be explained later.

Chapter 7

A Lovers Letter

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
At this point Ryuu and Shippou were in a heated argument that had been going on for close to an hour after the family had found Kagome fainted in Shippou's arms. Will was upstairs calming down Kagome's mom and grandfather. Well not so much a calming her mom as calming Jii-chan down. Souta in the meantime was sitting downstairs in the living room watching the argument staring at Shippou in a fascinated manner. "Oh bloody 'ell. You dumb draconic putz. I knew Kagome a-long time ago before any of you were born. Are yah so thick 'eded as ta not know that."
Ryuu looked at Shippou quite oddly, not because of the seamless transition between English and Japanese, but because he was finally getting an idea of possibly who Shippou is and were Kagome knew him from. "Um.. Sorry to be rude or anything but how old are you."
Shippou raised an eyebrow at that question, "Naw 'e asks for me age, an' why bother 'bout applogizen for being rude now. Ah bloody 'ell. All right dragon to answer your question I'm around 500 years old. Not quite sure about exact age. Aw 'ell 'ere I go an forgot 'ow long I've been alive."
At that precise moment Asami came storming down stairs in an up roar, "Will you two quit arguing. Also Ryuu not cussing in front of Souta." She then spun around to face Shippou whacking him in the head with the famous demonic wooden spoon, "And that goes for you to mister. Now if you two would just hold on till Kagome wakes up then we can get this whole mess sorted out alright."
The fox and the dragon both lowered their head respectively and answered back, "Yes Ma'am."
Asami nodded and went back up stairs. Soon as she was out of sight the door opened as Ko, Ku, and Lez let themselves in like they are apt to do only to find Ryuu and Shippou at it again and a growing bump on Shippou's head.
Shippou looked over toward the doorway and saw Kouga's hanyou granddaughter from America over their along with a set of Kitsune twins. "`Ello Lez. Bonny weather we're 'avin. Yes."
Lez smiled over at her grandfather's long time friend and business partner, "Yo my man waz up."
Shippou smiled warmly and went back to his argument with Ryuu, 'I haven't had this much fun in several years.'
At that moment Kagome came storming down the stairs, "I demand to know what the hell is going on." Shippou and the other immediately stopped what they were doing and looked wide eyed at the miko. "Well, Shippou, are you going to tell me why the hell your here. I thought you were dead."
He smiled and walked over to her gathering Kagome up into a big hug. "I missed you momma. Um.. can we go somewhere private to talk where prying eye's and ears won't hear us?" Kagome smiled motioning for him to follow her into the kitchen. Once in their Shippou glanced at the forgotten dinner lying on the table cold and unappetizing. He looked up as she glared at him as if expecting an explanation as to why he is here. "Your explanation will come in due time, but as to why I'm here I have something for you."
Kagome looked at him strangely, 'why would Shippou have a letter for me.' "Um.. can I please see it?"
Smiling, Shippou nodded, reaching inside his business suit he pulled out an old, dingy yellow, scroll. When she reached out to take it he pulled back giving her a warning, "This is very old and more then likely to fall apart if handled to roughly."
She nodded grimly and took the rolled up scroll. Looking it over she noticed that around the middle of it was an old white and gold strip of fine silk ribbon, or at least back when the ribbon had been put around the scroll it had been white, gold, and very expensive. Now it was a dingy creamish yellow and just as brittle as the paper. Where the two ends of the ribbon meet it was sealed with a wax stamp bearing the Western Lords device. She looked down at the beautiful gold wax stamp not wanting to break to seal to read the letter even though it was addressed to her on the outside. She turned around and reached into the silverware drawer pulling out one of the old dull paring knifes. Very gently she worked the edge under the wax and carefully lifts it up without destroying it. Un winding the ribbon slowly she unrolls the scroll as gently as possible dreading what it might say. Taking a relaxing breath of air she started reading.
To my Raven Haired Love,
It is said that in an InuYoukai's life several lovers may be found but only one shall work. In my life I have encountered several females that wanted me for a mate, BUT they only wanted me for my lands and the title of Lady of the West. Several of those females I turned down, and only a few earned the title of lover's. But I assure you that even though I fooled around I never allowed them to go any further then innocent petting. You were my one and only. You were the first of those females I let into my bed, and into my heart. My love, no my koshii, if we shall ever part I do not know what I will do without you. Even though, I am a noble youkai and promised that I shall never mate until I have gone through the mating ceremony, with you I felt as if that ceremony could wait. Something inside of me was pushing to claim you as mine and to mate with you. Koshii you were my first and my last as far as I'm concerned we are mates. If this letter shall ever reach you I want you to always know you are loved in every way, and no matter where you are or where I am you will always remain with me in my heart.
Endearingly,
Your White Haired Love
P.S. I will find you one day I promise you that.
