“Soar”

I am a woman in great pain
I am like a strong fabric wasted by age
I resemble in body an injured animal fleeing from it’s predator with desperation, yet knowing the effort was futile.
I imagine myself as a weak worm being split into two by a hawks evening meal.
I care about remaining sain
I am a useless mass on this earth
I will be punished for thinking this way
I can attempt to break this iron hold on me
I know now that I must not let this pain swallow me
I am a women in great pain
I want to be a women whose still sain
I often say that I am weak
I have heard other’s agree with me
I guess at one time it may have been partly true
I know now those voices will be silence when I soar once more
I regret ever thinking that way
I am a women who was in great pain, and yet may make it to be completely sain
