Abiona clicked on her new message from ShikonFromMe & began reading it.
'I noticed that it was July 4th and I thought that I would wish you a happy birthday! I'm glad that you've finally arrived in Japan! :) I was thinking that maybe I could show you around & we could go to dinner or something. ;) - Kagome'

Abiona smiled. Kagome had been a constant friend since they had met on-line a few years ago. They hadn't known until last year that their families knew each other. It had come as a pleasant shock. When the two girls had talked on the phone, Abiona had been a little surprised to discover that Kagome was a bit curious about her own orientation. Oh, she hadn't come out and said it, she probably hadn't even realized that she had been broadcasting subtle hints about her curiousity.
Kagome leaned over the table in the restaurant. "When did you realize you were bisexual?", she asked.
"I don't really remember...", Abiona seemed a little uneasy. "When did you first become curious?", she said.
"Curious? Who said I was curious?", Kagome felt embarassed.
"I DO remember what it's like looking for experience, and I know it's not easy at first." said Abiona
"Well, I'm curious about you, but...", Kagome hesitated. "I never really thought about being with another girl."
"Do you have a boyfriend?" Asked Abiona
"No", she responded. "Not really." She thought of InuYasha and touched the jewel around her neck. 'Was there something I was supposed to do today?', she thought to herself.
"Where did you get that?", asked Abiona, referring to the necklace.
"A friend...", Kagome's mind went from Inuyasha and the jewel; back to her curiosity. "Why don't you come over to my house? We still have a lot to talk about."
"Okay," Abiona agreed and they were off.

Kagome and Abiona were sitting on the bed in Kagome's room. Kagome was eyeing Abiona's tattoos. They weren't that noticeable, but she found herself liking the ones one her eyes and cheeks the most.
"Can you tell me about your tattoos?", she asked.
"Different places, different times...", said Abiona. She lifted up her shirt to reveal her bell button encircled with a tattoo. "This was my first one. I got this one in New Olreans." She lifted her wrist to show a strange tattoo. "I got this one in New York." She pointed to her eyelids. "I got these in Ireland." Her fingers lowered to the very small tattoos on each of her cheeks. "I got these in Greece." She then pulled down her pants to show the rose tattoo on her left thigh. "I got this one in Italy." She pulled her pants back up.
"Are there any stories behind any of them?" Kagome asked.
"The first one is, of course, about rebellion." She said, "But most of them are kind of a spiritual thing...".
"What about the rose? I have a feeling that it stands for something else." Kagome said and then got ready for a nice story.
Abiona smiled. "I really didn't want to get anymor tattoos at first, but then someone convinced me to get it."
"A man...", said Kagome.
Abiona nodded.
"But you don't SEEM like the romantic-type." Kagome said.
"Exactly", said Abiona. "But I was at a stage where I was trying something different... Unfotunately it didn't work out."
Kagome leaned back & Abiona stood up. "Do you mind if I use your shower?" she asked.
"Sure..." replied Kagome.
Abiona walked to the bathroom, bringing her "traveling" backpack with her. She closed the door and rummaged through it and pulled out her shampoo and conditioner, but couldn't find her body wash. She finally gave up and decided that as long as she wasn't going to use the whole bottle, it would probably be fine to use Kagome's.

After her shower, Abiona took her bag and went for a walk outside. Kagome had fallen asleep and Abiona was a night owl.
She took her discman out and listened to one of her cd's through her headphones. As she was walking, she remembered Kagome talking about a well which haad been on her property for hundreds of years. Abiona wasn't sure what was so special about it, but it wasn't HER well, so she probably wouldn't know. She decided to check it out anyway.
Abiona walked up the steps to the shrine. When she made it to the top, she looked through the doorway and saw a square hole through the floor. Curious, she walked closer to look down the hole. She walked down the steps and looked down the well.
"Hmm...", she still didn't see what was so special.
She turned around when she heard whispering coming from the well.
"Kagome... C'mon, I've been waiting all day!", said the male voice.
She turned around to have her hand grabbed and her body pulled down the well, leaving her bag (discman and all) behind.
