Kagome breaks up with her boyfriend before she goes into work. She has her conferences and is invited to a get together, and there she finds complications. Once she leaves she gets invited to a basketball game by Sango and runs in to somebody unexpected.

BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!
Kagome tossed and turned in her bed until she finally gave in to the light. She fumbled to find the snooze button on her alarm clock. `Just forget it!' She thought to herself.
BAM!
The poor clock went tumbling to the ground. Kagome sat up rubbing one hand against her eyes, as the other stretched and reached for the ceiling. She blinked before she decided to get out bed. If she didn't hurry she'd be late for work.
She hopped up and went to the bathroom down the hall in her small apartment. It was big enough for one person. 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, a living room, and we can't forget the kitchen. She hurried cleaning herself, and washing her hair. She quickly but on her black dress pants, with her white spaghetti strapped tank, and her black blazer. She also her black calf high heeled boots.
She popped a bagel in the toaster while she grabbed her cell phone in order to call her best friend Sango. The phone rang three times before the toaster popped and her friends voice could be heard on the phone.
“Hey Kay!” Sango was in a good mood today. “You ready? I'm outside.”
Kagome quickly grabbed a napkin, her sunglasses, her black purse, and her bagel before leaving her apartment. “Yea I'm just leaving.”
She locked the door and ran down the steps and down the hall. She opened the black door out into the sunshine. Her hair was still wet and wavy from her shower, but she didn't mind.
She ran over to Sango's black Toyota Camry Solara convertible and they were on there way to work. Kagome had a car of her own, but since Sango were going to the same place and she lived right down the street it's better to ride together.
Kagome and Sango were both teachers at a Junior High school. Kagome taught history while Sango taught self defense. There was a lot conflict at the school since at was a school for demons and humans. There weren't many Human/ Demon schools around, which was one of the reasons Sango and Kagome decided to teach there. Also because it would be interesting to see humans and demons doing something together besides fighting.
“Did you talk to him?” Sango asked as they drove down the freeway.
“Kouga doesn't really listen very well. Or he doesn't want to listen.” Kagome sighed. Sometimes her boyfriend was frustrating, at other times he's exactly what a girl needs. Lately he's what she needs, but not exactly what she wants.
“Kagome I'm tired of him! He may be loving and good looking” Sango just stopped in the middle of her sentence.
“Sango if you're going to daydream about my boyfriend don't complain about him!” Kagome yelled. Sango couldn't help but grin.
“Sorry. But he is very good looking, but lately he hasn't been treating you right! You need to find a guy who doesn't cheat on you!” Sango suddenly had this angry tone in her voice.
“Well Sango if he would just listen for once then I could break it off with him! But every time I try to speak he… side tracks me.” Kagome had to pause before saying the last part. Sango noticing this had turned wildly into the parking lot of a gas station.
“Kagome!” Sango yelled not even bothering to apologize to the people that she almost hit.
“What!” Kagome saw the look Sango was giving her. “Well I can't help it if he knows how to pleasure a girl.”
Sango rolled her eyes before starting the car again. “You can't let him do that either. Next time he tries stop him. Okay.” Kagome didn't answer.
“Kagome did you hear me?” Sango asked as she made a left turn on 32nd Street.
“Loud and clear Sango.”
“Good because you must be mad if you let him touch you even after you saw him kiss some demon chick.”
“Sango if you hadn't noticed Kouga's a demon too. It makes since that he's attracted to a demon girl.” Kagome tried reasoning.
“Kagome he doesn't have to cheat in order to be with a demon girl. What she should've done was break up with you first.” For a minute what Sango had just said sounded insulting until Kagome understood what she was saying.
“Okay Sango. Next time I see him I'll break up with him.” Kagome said as Sango found a parking space in the school parking lot. Kagome sighed.
“It's the fall, and today is parent teacher conferences.” Sango said. They've been teachers for 3 years, and at a young age. Kagome is 21 while Sango is 22. They got into teaching business together, at 18 and 19. Those years were difficult, but now it's a lot easier. They too smart for there on goods, and Kagome is having boy trouble.
“I know it's our first year at this school, but we've done parent teacher conferences before. It's going to go by fine.” Kagome assured.
“Hey sweets.” The girls turned to see Kouga leaning against the car. Sango rolled her eyes and got out.
“Kagome I'll wait inside.” Sango grabbed her purse and practically stomped into the building.`It's too early for this.' Kagome thought to herself.
“What's with her?” Kouga asked. His ice blue eyes stared into Kagome's showing love, and Kagome knew differently. She saw him making out with that orange haired demon. He was lying to her just by looking at her! Why was this so damn hard?
“She's mad at you…and so am I.” Kagome said staring at him with hurt eyes. She showed no sign of tears, and Kouga couldn't smell any.
“Kagome what are getting at?” Kouga asked not sure if he wanted to know the answer. His arms found there way around her waist, and his nose found it's way to her neck resting his head on her shoulder. He nuzzled at her neck affectionately.
“Kouga don't.” Kagome warned. As much as she liked what he was doing she couldn't let him side track her.
“Kagome are you okay? Usually you wouldn't care what I was doing to you.” Kouga kept nuzzling her neck as his hands tightened around her waist when she tried to push him away. She tried harder, but there really was no use seeing as he was much more stronger than she was. Kagome stopped struggling and blurted out the first thing she thought of.
“Kouga I saw you kiss her.” Kagome felt his hands loosen and he looked at her with narrowed eyes. “I'm not stupid Kouga. I'm sure you couldn't smell me because you were too busy undressing her.”
Kouga sighed. He was caught and he knew it. He stepped aside as Kagome walked towards the building. He could only watch as she left. She was out of his life, and it hurt more than he thought it would. He knew he made a mistake, but couldn't chase after her at the moment since the first school bus was is sight. He'd have to talk to her some other day.
Kagome walked back in the building feeling unusually calm seeing as she did just have a serious break up. `I thought it would hurt so much more. The question is why doesn't it now? I didn't want to break up with him earlier because…because I felt pained by this whole situation. But why not now? Why do I fell so…so…so content? Why do I feel so happy?' Kagome was still asking herself questions as she walked over to Sango.
“Hey Kay. You okay?” Sango asked, you could tell she was worried. Sango was shocked to see her friend as happy as can be, she was just thinking about something.
“…”
“Kay, you did break up with him right?” Sango would be pissed if she didn't. `One he doesn't even listen to her, two he's a cheating bastard, and three she promised…SHE PROMISED!'
“Of course! Who wouldn't dump somebody who doesn't respect you?” Kagome looked at Sango as if she were a lunatic.
“Good! I was freaking out for a bit there.” Sango ran her hand across her forehead as if she were saying `whew!'. Kagome couldn't help but laugh.
“I didn't have to. For one I did promise the next time… the very next time I see him.” Kagome saw Sango's expression change to guilt. Kagome knew that Sango felt she forced this on her. “I would've done it anyways Sango. Now lets get to the top floor before since the buses are pulling in.”
The girls were 8th grade teachers and they taught on the top floor. 7th grade was second floor, while 6th was first. They had a lot to do today mainly because of conferences. The other reason was because students get out early today.
As soon as the girls got to the top of the stairs they went separate ways. Sango made her way to the gym. When Kagome first got to the school the gym confused her since there was only one gym, but you could reach it on all three floors. It was difficult but she got the hang of it over about a week.
Kagome made her way to her room. On the front there was a sign that read Ms. Higurashi. She always wanted looked at it before entering, it got her thinking about her mother who she so very loves. Kagome's room number was 350. She hated three digit numbers, she hated and number, she hated math!
That was the reason why she was a history teacher, for some reason it was her gift. Kagome hurried and put her belongings on her desk and went to the dry erase board. She wrote very neatly “October 23, 2007” She continued writing as she heard the students rummaging through the halls trying get to there lockers so that they can get to there homerooms in time.
Her homeroom she would have to say has the most interesting students of the whole 8th grade. There names were Kanna Kurei, Hakudoushi Onigumo, Kessho Taisho, Shippo Kitsune, Kirara Mica, Kohaku Mica, andRin Taisho. All of these students seem to be split into groups, and each group hates each other. No matter how much they hate each other they seem to be connected in some kind of way.
The students filed in to class taking which ever seat they desire since Kagome believes that since they're 8th graders they should be able to handle sitting wherever they please but still pay attention.
Kagome finished writing on the bored the same time the bell rang. “Good morning!” Came Kagome's voice as she began to take attendance.

It was 5th period. The period right before lunch. The period where Kagome loved but also hated. She loved it because it was the time before her daily break, hated because it was the time there principle gave his daily visit.
Kagome was teaching about World War II and the Holocaust. She hated teaching it because it was a sad time, but she had to it, was a requirement. She was half way through the lesson the principle walked in. He only stood in the doorway for a couple of minutes before Kagome said anything to him.
“Hello Mr. Onigumo.” Kagome said with fake cheerfulness. He simply nodded and stayed in the doorway as Kagome continued her lesson. After a couple of more minutes he left in the talkative students began to talk again. She didn't blame them. There principle Naraku Onigumo was a scary man. His very presence sent chills down your back.
Rin and Shippo were talking loudly again. Kagome sighed. `That girl is the loudest speaker that I've heard in my entire life. That boy that talks with her isn't any better.' Kagome thought to herself.
“Man Mr. Onigumo creeps me out!” Rin said loudly. As soon many people were agreeing. It got under Kagome's skin that they had to talk in order to agree.
“Rin keep your voice down or I will be forced to put all in assigned seats.” Kagome said not even looking up from the papers that she was grading.
“Sorry Ms. Higurashi!” Rin said before whispering.
“Does speaking about my father really interest you that much?” Hakudoushi asked obviously irritated that his father seemed to be on everybody else's mind.
“Well it's not our fault that you and your are incredibly awkward.” Came Kessho's voice.
“Don't get smart with me!” Came the beginning of Hakudoushi's reply. “I'll hit a girl.” Kessho then stood up.
“Come at me then!” She said as Hakudoushi stood as well. Kagome couldn't let this go on.
“That's it! Everybody quiet!” Everybody went silent. Kagome didn't get mad at lot, but when she did it wasn't pretty. “Grab your things off your desk! You're getting assigned seats, and if anybody so much as whisper they will be receiving a trip down to the dean's office!” Kagome then grabbed as seating chart that she hasn't used all year until now.

The bell rang and everybody filed out of the classroom. They got out at 2:30 so the teachers would have at least an hour to prepare for the upcoming conferences. Hakudoushi walked passed Kessho and gave her a death glare, in which Kessho replied with an emotionless glare.
Hakudoushi walked back into his homeroom seeing as his father was coming to the conference, Kagome wasn't surprised by that. What surprised her was that Kanna had walked up the Kagome's desk to give her a note. Kagome glanced at the note before crumbling it up and throwing it away. “Thank You Kanna.”
Kanna took her seat on the other side of the room. Far away from Hakudoushi, which he didn't mind. Hakudoushi and Kanna where her most quiet students, but there were when Hakudoushi would talk, and when he talked he usually talked a lot. Today was a save, because if they weren't going to fight then he would've kept getting under Kessho's skin until Kessho cracked. That is what Hakudoushi did, he tormented and tortured.
When Kohaku and Kirara came in they took the seats closest to Kagome and began to make small talk.
“Miss Kagome! How's Kouga?” Kirara asked loud enough so the couple of people in the classroom could here. `Sometimes Kirara reminded me of that girl Rin. Irritating.'
“I don't know Rin.” Kagome said as she erased the board.
“But he's your boyfriend how come you don't know?” Kirara asked very loudly again. This seemed to grad Hakudoushi's attention. Kagome knew where this was going. `No. He wouldn't torment his teacher. Would he?' Sadly he would.
“YOU! Have a boyfriend?” Hakudoushi asked seeming surprised.
“Had a boyfriend. And why is that so hard to believe?” Kagome asked.
“It's not.” Came Kohaku.
“What you got a crush on the teacher now?” Hakudoushi asked.
“No!” Kohaku glared at Hakudoushi who in return glared back. “Miss Kagome is 21 practically still a teenager! It's perfectly natural to have a boyfriend at that age!”
`I don't know if I should take that as a compliment or an insult.' Kagome thought to herself.
“Kohaku!” Came Sango's voice. Sango was indeed Kohaku's and Kirara's legal guardian. Yes Sango was 22 and yes she adopted them. She always had a big heart for children so she adopted some when she turned 20. They grew fond of her quickly and she loved that about them.
“Kirara was the one who brought it up ma!” Kohaku said in his defense.
“It's okay Sango. I know these kids well enough to know that Kirara loves to ask questions.” Kagome said as she sat in a desk and motioned for Sango to sit in the one across from it. Sango decided to get to the conferences a little early so she could help Kagome out.
Sango sat down and Kagome began the conference. Kirara got a couple of glares for talking out in class, but other than that they were okay. By the time the conference finished Naraku had walked in obviously ready for his conference. Hakudoushi looked a bit uneasy seeing as he almost got into a fight this afternoon.
“Hello Mr. Onigumo.” As usual Kagome got a nod from the principle, but she shrugged it off and began the conference. Just like Hakudoushi predicted Kagome had squealed, and Naraku didn't look all too happy to find out about the fight.
When that was over Ms. Kurei, Mr. Taisho, and some other guy who she wasn't sure who was in the room waiting with there own children. Kessho and Hakudoushi had a glaring contest, while Rin and Kirara talked, and Kagome couldn't focus on her conferences well because of the mysterious man who sat with Shippo. She managed to get through the conferences until the guy came to sit across from her.
He had silver hair and gold eyes just like Mr. Taisho. This guys much younger and not as much `uncomfortable'. Sesshomaru Taisho on the other hand made anybody around him uncomfortable.
Hello Mr….” Like Kagome said he was a mystery, she's never seen him before so she didn't know his name.
“Oh my bad, I'm Inuyasha Taisho.” He said shaking her hand with a slight smirk on his face.
“Well Mr. Taisho Shippo here is an excellent student. He pays attention, and he learns very quickly. His grades are fine, he participates in class, he's very neat, and his a good attitude.” Kagome said. It was all true Shippo was a great student, and in Kagome's eyes he was simply adorable.
“Well that's a surprise.” Inuyasha said looking down at Shippo. “He's completely different at home.”
“Oh really?” Kagome was interested to know this other side of her most favored student. Usually she didn't play favorites, but Shippo was an exception.
“Yea. He's far from neat, he runs around the house like some crazy mad person, and…”
“Dad! Do have to tell my favorite teacher how I act at home?” Shippo said as he hopped up to give Kagome a hug. Kagome wasn't surprised, he often gave her hugs it wasn't anything new.
“Suck up.” Inuyasha still smirked at the way the connected. He liked this Ms. Higurashi, first he expected for her to be some old hag like Shippo's last teacher. Her name was Kaede, he hated her! Anyways this Kagome person looked pretty young, and kinda cute. Seeing how he was 23 he guessed she was at least 20 or 21. She wasn't just cute, she was a dime.
“So you adopted Shippo?” Kagome asked making conversation since Inuyasha was her last conference and she was done, but for some reason didn't want him leave. Right now she didn't even care why she felt that way.
“Yea, not too long ago really. I had him for maybe a year and a half.” Inuyasha said as he was trying to think back. “Well wait about you? You got any kids?”
“Nope. I'm a loner.” Kagome said before Kirara and Rin came up to them. “Uncle Inuyasha, Ms. Higurashi can we take Shippo?” Rin asked.
“Yea go ahead.” With that Shippo was gone, smiling like a goofball since he happened to be between to lovely ladies.
“It was kind of an accident when I adopted Shippo.” Inuyasha said. This sort of got Kagome curious.
“How so?”
“Well I was pissed at my friend Kouga, and I took a wrong turn only to find Shippo on the streets, so I adopted him.” Inuyasha said as if he's told the story a million times.
“Ah, I see.” Kagome had processed all he said until a certain named clicked. “Did you say Kouga?”
“Yeah. That mangy wolf gets on my nerves by the way he treats women. My buddy Miroku and I kind of jumped him two days ago. It was pretty funny actually.” Kagome started thinking back towards the other day when there was a big bruise on Kouga's face. He said it was roommate trouble.
“So you, Kouga, and this Miroku are roommates?”
“Yea…How'd you know that?”
“Oh nothing, just my ex- boyfriend named Kouga who happens to be a wolf demon came over the other with a big bruise on his face saying it was roommate trouble.” Kagome said smiling.
“Oh…so he wasn't lying when he said he had a pretty girl.” Inuyasha said, not even fazed at what just cane out of his lips. Kagome couldn't help the smile that came across her face.
“Sometimes good looks can be a curse.” Kagome said.
“You were the one he was cheating on weren't you?” Inuyasha asked. Fully aware of the situation.
“Unfortunately.” Kagome said trying to forget about it.
“How about you come over to hang with me tomorrow night. Shippo's going over his friends for the night. It'll piss that stupid wolf off.” Inuyasha said with a smirk knowing she wouldn't refuse. Kagome had to think about for a second. `Well I don't know him all that well, but he does know Kouga. And it would make Kouga mad. Oh what the hell.'
“Yea I'll come here's my number.” Kagome whipped out a piece of paper and wrote down her number.
“I'll call you.” Inuyasha said before he got up to leave. Soon everybody were gone except for Sango and her children.
“Kagome got a date!” Sango and Kirara said causing Kohaku to shake his.
Kagome was rushing around the house getting ready for the little get together at Inuyasha's. She had to look good in order for this plan to work. She had to make Kouga as jealous and as pissed as he can get! `It's gonna be hilarious when I see the look on his face when he sees me!'
Kagome found a red outfit. It was a red leather jacket, with blue jeans that had red glitter on it. The tank that she wore was a black spaghetti strap. She also wore red ankle high heeled boots. She got some red lip stick with black eye shadow. Her hair was up in a high ponytail with to strands down in her face. She was sure to grab her red sunglasses and placed them on top of her head as she grabbed her black purse and headed for her car. She had a white Audi A5 convertible.
She drove in the direction she remembered as Kouga's place. It was funny how every time she went over Inuyasha was never there. Instead it would either be empty or his drunk cousins Ginta and Hakkaku would be sleeping on the floor or the couch. She laughed at the sight of them.
Soon Kagome had pulled up into the parking lot of the apartments called `The Wolves Forest'. She figured it got the name because of the many trees that made it so beautiful out, and you can never forget the moon especially when it was full. Kagome suddenly remembered a night when she and Kouga were on the balcony staring into the star filled sky.
It was chilly and she and Kouga were sitting out on the balcony wrapped in a blanket and sipping hot chocolate. Kagome was seated in Kouga's lap with her head resting against his chest. She let out a sigh of content enjoying the silence, which didn't last long since Kouga had to talk.
“Kagome you see that moon?” Kouga asked.
“Yes. It's kind of hard not to. It's so beautiful out here.” Kagome said. Kouga chuckled before he pulled Kagome out of his lap and stood up. “What are you doing?” Kouga dragged Kagome over to the edge with his hands around her waste.
“You want that moon?” Kouga asked. They had just finished watching `Bruce Almighty' and Kagome knew what he was doing and decided to play.
“What are talking about? You couldn't possibly…”
“I could! I could just get a rope and wrap it around there and pull it down to you.” Kouga said with a grin.
“Could you really!” Kagome said with fake enthusiasm. Kouga wiggled his eyebrow before he pretended to be throwing a rope around the moon and dragging it over to where he and Kagome stood. And for a second there the moon actually seemed to be moving. Kagome giggled, since Kouga looked like a complete idiot.
“You know I really would if I really could.” Kouga said as he gazed in to Kagome's eyes. “I'd de for you baby.” Kouga's tone was gentle as he leaned in and captured Kagome in a blissful kiss. He picked her up bridal style and without breaking the kiss headed for his bedroom.
Oh yes, Kagome was going to make him pay. She pressed the button to convert the hood back on top of the car before getting out and with a couple beeps the car was locked. Kagome went upstairs and knocked on the door. She could shouting from the other side of the door, and soon scuffling was heard as somebody shuffled towards the door. The door opened and there stood Kouga. `Perfect'
“Kagome? What are you dong here?” Kouga asked with confusion and hope written all over his face. Kagome saw Inuyasha coming to the door with a smirk on his face. Kagome felt bad about breaking Kouga, but she really wanted to do it.
“Is Inuyasha here?” Kagome asked and she almost laughed when Kouga got the most dumbest look on his face.
“Hey Kagome! Glad you could make it!” Inuyasha said as he hooked arms with her, guiding her away from Kouga. “Go on and make yourself comfortable.”
Kagome sat on the all to familiar couch. She and Kouga had some inappropriate memories there as well.
“Kagome!” Shouted to voices in unison. “We thought you dumped Kouga.”
“Hey Ginta and Hakkaku!” Kagome shouted back cheerfully. “Of course I dumped him.” Kagome sounded as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. Ginta and Hakkaku turned to look at the now fuming Kouga and they tried to hold in there laughs. Suddenly and unfamiliar voice was sounded accompanied with a thump.
Kagome looked down the hall to see a guy with black jeans, black long sleeved shirt with a purple t shirt over it. He was on the ground laughing his ass off. Kouga turned to glare at him. Inuyasha had the biggest grin on his face, with his perked up. “Kouga…she said…Kouga got dumped!” The guy said between laughs.
“Shut your mouth Miroku before I do it for ya!” Kouga said with an irritated tone. Kagome couldn't hold in the giggle that escaped her mouth and gave him her one of a kind smile when her turned to look at her. He couldn't help but smile back.
“Awww! Kouga I was just playing around!” Miroku said as he walked into the room. Kagome saw that he had gorgeous violet eyes with short black hair that reached half way down his neck. Kagome soon found herself right next to the guy with him holding her hand. “Would you mind bearing my children?” Miroku asked.
“Well damn Miroku! You can't go two minutes without asking every woman you see that stupid question!” Inuyasha shouted. Kouga glared, and Kagome giggled.
“Cute. Maybe I'll think about it.” Kagome said with a wink. Miroku's eyes widened at her answer and he fell to the ground as if he fainted. Kouga only chuckled and Inuyasha shook he head as he went back to the video game that Kagome assumed they were playing before she came.
“I thought this was a guys night out anyways.” Kouga said.
“What…not happy to see me?” Kagome asked playfully.
“Oh I'm very happy. But seeing as I can't have you there's no point in me getting all excited about it.” Kouga said. Kagome giggled again as Inuyasha scooted over and sat in between her legs.
“You took my spot,.” Was all he said as he continued to play. Kagome shrugged and turned back to Kouga. He looked pissed.
“Is there a problem Kouga?” Miroku suddenly asked as he got up off the ground.
“Yea! If Inuyasha gets to have a girl over why can't I?” Kouga asked.
“Who's stopping you Kouga?” Kagome asked. She watched his face turned from angry to what seemed like deep thought.
“Your right! Hey Ginta Hakkaku do me a favor.” Kouga said.
“Yea what is it?” Hakkaku asked. Kouga smirked.
“Go get Ayame for me.” Was all he said as Miroku shook his head.
“This can only cause trouble.” Miroku said as Inuyasha nodded in agreement.
Ginta and Hakkaku looked at Kouga as if he were insane. Hakkaku's mouth was hanging open and Ginta blinked a couple of times to let the information sink in.
“Didn't she already ask to come?” Ginta asked.
“And didn't you say no?” Hakkaku asked as he fixed himself up and making sure his Mohawk was still looking nice.
“Yes bu-“ Kouga began but was interrupted.
“Didn't you say something about the guys having this rule about no girls allowed?” Ginta asked. `So that's why I was never invited to these.' Kagome thought to herself.
“And when she asked why the rule was made didn't you say it was a guy thing?” Hakkaku asked.
“Like I was saying I know what I said, and since Inuyasha so blandly broke the rule with Kagome the rules were changed and now she's invited. So. Go. Get. Her.” Kouga made sure to get his point across as her gave his cousins an icy glare which they gulped and sped off to do the task at hand.
`I've never met this Ayame person but I can only guess it was the same girl Kouga was with that night sitting on top of the balcony.'
Miroku caught something in what Kouga said that others did not, and he simply had to question it on him. `at least to make him look like a complete fool in front of Kagome.'
“So what you were saying was since it was Kagome that Inuyasha invited the rules suddenly changed. And if it were any other girl say like…Kikyo you wouldn't have cared?” Miroku questioned Kouga. Inuyasha blinked before he looked over to Kouga awaiting his answer. `This is gonna be delicious, especially since I can smell that annoying stench of Ayame.'
Kagome looked over at Kouga as well. She was curious herself and wanted to know the answer.
“Exactly.” Kouga said.
“So what you are saying is that you are jealous?” Miroku asked.
“I never said that.”
“Ah, but you meant that.”
“No! I don't.”
“So what you are saying is that you never really gave a damn about Kagome in the first place?” Miroku asked again. Kagome was really interested in the question now.
“I never said that! You're putting words in my mouth!” Kouga said as he was getting frustrated.
“Sure as hell sounded like it to me.” Kagome said. Kouga was surprised she usually didn't curse unless she was utterly pissed.
“Calm down Kagome that's not how I meant it.” Kouga said resisting the urge to wrap his arms around her waist to calm her like he used to.
“Who the hell said I wasn't calm?” Kagome asked. She was pissed but she kept her voice down. It seemed that Kouga was the only person she knew that could piss her off.
Kouga rolled his eyes. “You sure are acting like it.” Kagome had to resist the urge to slap somebody. Suddenly the door bust open and Ayame came strolling in as if it was her home. Inuyasha groaned and rolled his eyes but continued to play his game. Miroku seemed to grin wider, and Ginta and Hakkaku kept their distance.
“Is she the other one that I used to smell on you?” Ayame asked. Although she already knew the answer. She heard part of the conversation they were having and it pissed her off to know that her Kouga was still jealous over such a useless human girl.
“I have a name.” Kagome said. She was already pissed and she didn't need anymore bullshit as it was. She searched the room to see if she could find something to help her release that anger of hers.
“Well maybe I don't want to know your name.” Ayame said as she walked over to Kouga and angrily sat in his lap. Kouga gave her a questioning glance before noticing Kagome's anger flare. `That girl always had a bad temper.'
“Ayame don't start.” Kouga said. He didn't ask Ayame to come for her to start a fight with Kagome. “Kagome will kick yo ass, so don't start.”
“She can't even hurt a fly.” Ayame was pissed now. `Did Kouga really side with her?' Kagome was furious and was desperately needed to find something to take her mind off of Ayame. Suddenly her eyes landed on two little white triangles that were in between her legs. She grasped them with her hands and was amazed at how soft they were. She let out a girlish giggle and continued to play with the little ears.
Inuyasha was shocked when her hands got a hold of ears. Normally he would forbid this action but he heard her giggle and he decided to let it pass. `Are my ears really that interesting?' Miroku suddenly broke out into a fit of laughter. Kagome was making a toy out of Inuyasha's ears and the face on Kouga was just priceless.
Kouga stared in shock as Kagome seemed to enjoy playing with Inuyasha's ears. `What the hell! He chooses this time out of any to finally let a girl touch his ears!' Kouga's eyes fell upon Inuyasha's face and he seemed to really be enjoying her attention. Kouga grimaced until a certain memory came upon his thoughts.
Kouga awoke to the bright sun rays seeping in from behind the curtain. He felt something soft running across his tail and looked in the direction of the warmth that was next to him. Kagome was lying in his beige bed with nothing on but his sheets and his…tail?
Kouga blinked for a second as he realized his tail must have found its way around her little body while he was asleep. She was stroking his tail lovingly as she seemed to be deep in thought. He smirked at the way she looked. She seemed content.
Kouga expertly moved his tail so that was tickling her stomach. Her marveled in the sound of her laughs.
“K…Kou…Kouga! Ss..top!” She broke into fits of giggles and tried to move away from the “evil” tail.
“Why? You seemed to like my tail before.” He said teasing her.
“Th…that…w-was…before!” She was still laughing since we was still tickling her. Kouga pretended to give her a hurt look.
“I thought you liked my tail.”
“I…l-love…y-your tail!” Kagome began. “That…w-will…never change!” Then he finally ceased his attack. Kagome immediately began to stroke his tail again giving him a smile. He smirked before tickling her all over again.
“Kouga are you even listening!” Ayame asked. Noticing that he wasn't listening at all.
“No…what you say?” Kouga admitted. Kagome laughed at that. She remembered he would often do that to her. Ayame growled in frustration. Kagome was still busying herself with Inuyasha's ears, noticing the way he was leaning into her touch.
“What is she laughing about?” Ayame asked. Kagome was pretty relaxed she honestly didn't give a damn about Ayame any longer. But she didn't appreciate her stanky attitude.
“I'd appreciate it if you didn't talk as if I'm not here.” Kagome said in an almost cheery tone.
“Maybe I don't want your appreciation…tramp.” Ayame seemed to hesitate saying her last statement but let it slip anyways. That was when she noticed the whole atmosphere had changed. Kagome had stopped playing with Inuyasha's ears, Ginta and Hakkaku got off the game and walked down the hallway, and Kouga pushed Ayame off his lap as he moved to go sit a different seat and took the control to beat Inuyasha. He already knew he couldn't stop what was coming next and he didn't want to be in the middle of it.
“I'm sorry. Could you repeat that?” Kagome asked. She was furious.
“Awww, is the little slut getting angry?” Ayame stupidly asked. Kagome's eyes got a blue-ish tint to them as she stood up.
“Listen little girl-“
“No! You need to get out of this house and go back to where you belong! I will not have coming in her trying to win my man back! I won him fair and square not get to the little school where you belong at!” Kouga laughed at what she said. It sounded stupid even to him, it was kind of obvious that she didn't win fair and square as she put it. He would've left her for Kagome any day! It seemed that Kagome read his mind. And she laughed as well.
“Fair and square? So going off and sleeping with him was fair and square? Hm. Its sooo very obvious that he would've left you for me any day if I hadn't broke it off with him. So why don't you get your ass down to the corner where you belong!” Kagome looked into Ayame shocked face and noticed her lack of response. “Oh I'm sorry…you need a pimp?”
Miroku couldn't help it. He was laughing his ass off now. He was laughing so hard that he was rolling on the floor. Inuyasha laughed as well and his car ended up going off the road and Kouga won the race. Inuyasha didn't seem to care as his back was to the ground and he laughed. You could also hear laughs coming from the back room and a loud bang signaling that Ginta and Hakkaku were on the ground as well. Kouga tried to hold it in.
“Well…you…I…he…” Ayame couldn't come up with a come back and stared in terror as Kouga soon fell to the ground as well. She was stunned into silence.
“Nothing?” Kagome asked. “Nothing at all?” Ayame didn't say a thing.
“Next time when open your goddamn mouth think about who you talking to. Now sit your ass down and have some fun. Does anybody want me to order pizza?” Kagome asked. You could hear heavy foot steps as Ginta and Hakkaku came running back obviously hungrier than anything. Kagome giggled and reached for the phone. Hopefully Ayame wouldn't be stupid and say something to Kagome for the rest of the night.
“That's not fair!” Inuyasha shouted as he threw down his controller. “You cheated!” Kagome laughed at the ridiculous look Inuyasha had on his face. He crossed his arm over his chest and his ears drooped slightly and Kagome simply couldn't hold in her giggles.
“I assure you Inuyasha I did not cheat.” Miroku said with a smirk on his face. “Cheating is below me.” Kouga snorted and Miroku shot him a hurt look.
“You know that's a bold faced lie.” Kouga said.
“Are you implying something?” Miroku asked as he raised his hand to sit above his heart. “Because if you are it hurts…deeply.” Kouga rolled his eyes as Kagome giggled a little harder.
“Hey since you're laughing why don't you play?!” Inuyasha asked. Kagome blinked a couple times.
“Me?” She asked. The guys nodded.
“No!” She said. Ayame rolled her eyes.
“I'll play.” She said and grabbed Miroku's controller.
“Hey!” Miroku said. “I won! You're supposed to play winner!”
“Oh be quiet, it's so obvious that you used your feet to take Inuyasha's controller out of the game system.” Ayame said as she bent over to plug Inuyasha's controller back up. Everybody blinked seeing as they didn't even notice. That was until Ginta and Hakkaku were cracking up in the background. Inuyasha shot Miroku a glare, and said person rubbed the back of his head sheepishly.
“I knew I shouldn't have played you.” Inuyasha said as he picked up his controller and began to play Ayame. “That pizza man is here.”
Kouga lifted his nose as if to smell something but he couldn't catch the scent just yet. His sense of smell wasn't as strong as Inuyasha's. A couple minute's later he and Ayame caught the smell.
“Pizza!” Ginta and Hakkaku shouted from down the hall which means they were watching television. 5 minutes later a knock was sounded at the door, and Kagome got up to get the pizza. She opened the door and signed for the pizza then paid the guy. As soon as she set the pizza down she heard an angry yell as Ayame lost her race and everybody rushed in to get some delicious pizza.
Kagome grabbed two slices and turned on the music. At first it was a Fall out Boy song, and Kagome quickly changed to channel knowing that Shippo or maybe even Ginta and Hakkaku changed the channel, because Kouga only listens to Hip hop and R&B. When she finally got to the right channel one of her favorite songs was on and she sang along with it.
“Touch my body” Kagome sang and the guys almost choked.
“Well if you really want me to Kagome.” Miroku said and Kagome shot him a glare and continued to sing.
“I will hunt you down!” Kagome sang. Miroku gulped at that part.
“Okay so maybe I won't.” Inuyasha shook his head at his stupid friend and continued to listen to Kagome's voice. She was actually very good.

Touch my body…” The song was over and Inuyasha looked relieved, but he still had a problem to deal with, especially with Kagome still in the room. Miroku's grinned only got wider as he noticed his friends predicament.
Kouga himself was a little aroused over Kagome's choice of song. Okay so he wasn't a little aroused, he was completely aroused, barely holding on to his sanity. Ayame having a keen sense of smell she could smell the men's arousal. It was disgusting how every man in the house can have this kind of reaction to a simple human, and a song. It was like a whore house, simply disgusting.
Miroku knew why his friend was like this, hell he was horny too, but he couldn't skip this chance. He knew Inuyasha would kick his ass but it was so very worth it.
“You look a little uncomfortable there Inuyasha.” Miroku said. Inuyasha gave him the most deadliest death glare he could muster, and silently promised him that his death would be soon.
“What the hell are you talking about?” Inuyasha spat out. Grabbing a pillow and placing it on his lap for two reasons. A.) It could cover up his obvious erection and B.) He could always throw it at Miroku on the way to the bathroom to solve this stupid problem. Then it all got worse as Ginta and Hakkaku decided they wanted to join and back up Miroku.
“It's completely understandable…” Ginta said.
“Kagome is a very attractive girl.” Hakkaku finished. Inuyasha grind his teeth.
“I mean we were a little turned on ourselves…” Ginta said again.
“But Kagome is like a sister to us so…” Hakkaku added.
“We regained control which…” Ginta said.
“You so obviously failed to do so.” Hakkaku finished. Inuyasha growled. Miroku stood up and walked to stand next to Ginta and Hakkaku.
“But look at the brighter side, she dumped Kouga so she's obviously free.” Miroku said and ran as Inuyasha suddenly got up and chased all three of the guys down the hall completely forgetting about his problem. Miroku and the guys locked themselves in the back room and Inuyasha pounded on the door before Kouga yelled at him not to break the fucking door. Inuyasha feh'd before walking into the bathroom to fix his problem.
Throughout the little get together. Kagome took the guys offer and played the game. She actually beat Ginta and Hakkaku, as well as Ayame who got pissed and went to the back room to watch tv. Kagome couldn't beat Inuyasha or Kouga, and she even played the cheater who was being watched the whole time and they didn't catch any signs of cheating from him. He won that race fair and square. When they were all finished Ginta and Hakkaku were sprawled out on the couch asleep. Ginta was halfway off the ouch with his knees on the floor while Hakkaku sat on his head and had his head leant back against the wall. Kagome giggled and checked the time before realizing it was 90 minutes past twelve.
“I guess I should get going.” Kagome said as she grabbed her purse and walked to towards the door.
“I'll walk you to your car. It could get dangerous with all those demons like Kouga lurking around.” Inuyasha said while playing the game. Kouga his opponent rammed his car into the wall which broke and Inuyasha's car fell off the bridge.
“No it's fine I do have priestess powers after all. Besides your about to race again.” Kagome said. Just as she said it a big go popped up on the screen.
“No I'm not.” Inuyasha said as he threw the controller over to the dozing Miroku which hit him in the head before falling in his hands. Miroku groaned but quickly caught up to Kouga who was in first. Kagome sighed knowing that she had to let him walk her. I mean he gave up the game for her!
“Ok Inuyasha. Lets walk.”
Inuyasha and Kagome walked down the steps and out into the night. Once they reached Kagome's car she turned around and gave him a hug.
“Thanks for inviting me Inuyasha.” Kagome said as she leant in to kiss his cheek but Inuyasha turned his face so it was his lips. Kagome was a bit shocked but kissed him anyways. `Man this guy has got some guts!'
When they broke apart Kagome lightly punched Inuyasha's shoulder.
“Jerk.” Kagome said with a smile and got into her car and started the ignition. Inuyasha smirked and rapped lightly on her window. Kagome rolled it down.
“This jerk is sexy and I was right.” Inuyasha said and Kagome looked confused. “There's a nasty looking demon hiding in the trees.”
Kagome looked towards the trees and sure enough eerily bright green eyes looked back at her before the demon suddenly disappeared.
“Thanks for looking out.” Kagome said as she pulled away. Inuyasha watched her go and once her turned around her could see Miroku on the balcony giving him a smug look.
“So I see you took my advice.” Miroku said referring to the singing incident.
“You're dead.” Inuyasha said before leaping onto the balcony and tackling Miroku back through the open balcony door.
“Stop it guys! You know those humans downstairs have been complaining about us for weeks! One more time and we get kicked out!” Kouga said. And just as he said so Inuyasha cursed and opened the door before their downstairs neighbors even reached the top of the steps.
“We do apologize my friends cousin fell of the couch.” Inuyasha lied. Kouga quickly pulled Hakkaku off of Ginta and onto the floor as Inuyasha let the lady look inside. She had short black hair that were in little pigtails that hang in the front of her shoulders. Inuyasha knew that she had a twin and felt weird every time one of them ever came up there.
“Well my older sister and my mother are still fast asleep. I just came up here to see if everything was alright.” The girl said. Inuyasha knew this wasn't the one that usually came up there, that little girl loved to yell at them. He has never seen there mother.
“Everything is fine. Is your sister your twin?” Inuyasha asked.
“Yes, she was just born first. I know she usually comes up here, but she's fast asleep. My name is Asuka. My sister is Kocho.” Asuka said. “Well since you are alright try I should get back home. I wouldn't want one of them to wake up and worry about me. Bye.” And then she disappeared down the steps.
Inuyasha closed the doors and saw Kouga drag his cousins to there beds in the back room which Ayame came from and sat on the couch.
“Well I'm glad that wasn't Kocho or else we would've been out of here.” Miroku said. “Those girls look as though they could be Kagome's daughters.”
“They do look like her don't they?” Inuyasha said getting him something to drink.
“Is she all you two talk about?” Ayame asked angrily.
“Well we aint gonna talk about you!” Inuyasha said back to her. Ayame just rolled her eyes and left to go back home. Which was at the top floor which was the fourth one. Kouga lived on the second one.
“Maybe she's related to them.” Miroku said. “You know like niece.”
“Yea maybe.” Inuyasha said.
“Kagome doesn't have a sister. She has a brother.” Kouga said coming from the back room.
“Well maybe her brother knocked some girl up and left her.” Miroku said.
“Her brother is a senior in high school. If that woman was a 17 or 18 year old woman then she would've had to have those girls at 4 or 5.” Kouga said as he switched the channel to watch tv. “Flavor of Love is on.”
“Which episode?” Inuyasha asked.
“The one when that ugly bastard lets New York back on the second season.” Kouga said as he looked at the look on Delishis's face when she saw New York walk through the door.
“What a bitch.” Inuyasha said. “I'm going to bed I have to get up so I can get Shippo tomorrow.”
“Why don't you let him stay a while?” Miroku asked even though his eyes were glued Delishis ass.
“Because Kohaku has a basketball game tomorrow. And he wants Shippo to go so now I have to go with them” Inuyasha said making his way to his room.
“Does Kohaku live with his mother? Or Father?” Miroku asked.
“He has a mother and that's it.” Inuyasha said. “Yes you can come it's better than being there by myself watching random kids running around bouncing a ball into a basket.”
“Yes! I'll be ready! Just wake me up when you do.” Miroku said happy that he may be able to watch a mom. “Not just any mom a sports mom! Those girls are awesome!”
“Man you have problems.” Kouga said and went back to Flavor Flav and those sexy women.

Kagome was driving home and she realized that she had a missed call. She looked at it and saw Sango's name. She smiled but didn't want to call her friend at this time at night even if her friends had called her at 12:19. She sat her phone down in her passenger seat and stopped at a red light. Then her phone went off with the Alicia Keys ring tone No One. And she picked it up.
“You always do call at the right times Sango.” Kagome said. She couldn't help but the Déjà vu in this situation.
“Why do you say that?” Sango asked not knowing what she was saying.
“Because I was checking my missed calls and I didn't want to call since it is late and I set my phone exactly 25 seconds before you called.” Kagome said as she turned left at the light.
“Oh Déjà vu.” Sango said. “But her do you think You'll have enough energy to wake up tomorrow morning in order to come to Kohaku's game that starts at 8:30?”
“Oh sure I'd love to come! But might be a little late.” Kagome said. “Like you know 30 minutes.” Kagome said as she parked in front of her home.
“Okay see you at nine! Bye Kay!” Sango said.
“Bye Gogo!” Kagome heard Sango's huff at being called Gogo and the click the signified the end of the conversation.
Kagome immediately went to sleep setting her alarm for 7:30. It was almost 2 o'clock, but is she could teach her 5th period class, then she could wake up in five and a half hours.

Inuyasha was absolutely bored. He was sick and tired of sitting on the sidelines watching kids kick a ball while Shippo, Kirara, and Sango cheered and Miroku occasionally got slapped for touching Sango's ass. He just met her 30 minutes ago and he was already at it. Just when Inuyasha thought he was going to lose it something amazing happened.
At beautiful woman walked over to Sango wearing dark blue jean capris with little frays on the bottom, and a green shirt with sunglasses sitting at the top of her head. She had black long hair with enticing chocolate eyes. It was Kagome and his son was al over her. Man she must really be his favorite teacher, either that or he has a crush on her.
“It's nice to see you as well Shippo.” Kagome said while laughing.
“What about me Ms. Kagome?” Kirara asked from next to her mother.
“You as well Kirara. I could never forget you.” Kagome said as she let go of Shippo.
“What about me Kagome?” Asked Miroku from behind the girls and his hand came in contact with Sango's butt… again. Sango gave him a sharp slap as Shippo and Kirara shook there heads and began cheering again. Kagome gave them a questioning look.
“You can't keep your hands off her for two seconds can you?” Inuyasha asked. Inuyasha watched as Kessho scored for the team. He was surprised that his stupid brother let her on it.
“I'm glad you could make it Kagome.” Sango said not listening to the men.
“Me too. Too bad Mr. Onigumo had to be here.” Kagome whispered looking at the far end of the field. As if her heard her Naraku turned to look at her. `Oh man! How could I be so stupid! He is a demon after all, even if he's a hanyou!' Kagome waved politely to the principle and as usual he nodded.
“Yea I know, but don't let him mess up the mood! The teams are tied! Even if I'm not the coach and that gay seventh grade teacher Jakotsu is!” Sango said. She never really got over that he got the basketball spot instead. Mr. Onigumo gave her the soccer coach while Bankotsu had the boys basketball.
“Yea I'm sure we would do better if Kessho and Hakudoshi would get along just for a basketball game.” Kagome said.
“So they argue in your class as well huh?” Sango asked.
“Oh yes. They almost had a fight yesterday.” Kagome said.
“I understand though Hakudoshi is just like his father if not worse.” Kirara said.
“That still is no reason to fight.” Sango said. “Half time.” They all watched as Kohaku and Kessho got a drink of water and ran there way.
“Hey mom and Ms. Kagome and Shippo!” Kohaku said.
“Hi uncle Inuyasha!” Kessho said. “I thought I talked to you now before I go see my dad.”
“Hey Kessho. Good going out there.” Inuyasha said as he hugged her.
“Thank you! I'm going to go see dad now.” She said as she turned around.
“Before you go.” Inuyasha stopped her. “Try cooperating with Hakudoshi just for the rest of the game. Hakudoshi is a good player, you should bring the whole team down because if some stupid fight.”
Kessho nodded and took off down the gym to see her father. Kohaku had to go back to the team because the cheerleaders routine was almost over. Inuyasha noticed Kocho and Asuka in the squad.
“Hey Kagome I didn't know your sister was the cheerleading coach. Man it felt so weird to say that.” Sango said.
“You have a sister?” Inuyasha asked.
“Yea an older sister by 10 years.” Kagome said.
“Kouga said you didn't have one.” Miroku said.
“We never really go along so I don't bother to mention her.” Kagome said. “She's strict so she's a great teacher and coach she knows what she's doing. That how she got in college although you would never know by looking at her. You'd think that it was something I would do, but I'm more into volleyball.”
The routine was over and surprisingly Kagome found herself being tackled by to little figures.
“Aunty Kagome! Aunty Kagome!” Kocho and Asuka said.
“Hello girls. How are you?” Kagome couldn't help the smile that crept up on her face. She doesn't get to see that girls much since they are on B team and Kagome teaches A team History.
“I'm better now that I got to see you!” Asuka said in her high pitched voice.
“Yea I'm doing good too!” Kocho said.
It was the first time Inuyasha actually saw Kocho smile, usually because she was always yelling at him about how loud they were.
“Hi Shippo!” Asuka said with a smile.
“Hi Asuka…Kocho.” Shippo said Kocho's name with distaste.
“Shippo.” Kocho said with her usual frown.
“Kagome.” Said Kagome's older sister. Kagome sighed before looking up at the woman.
“Kikyo.” Kagome said. Inuyasha noticed that the two women looked just alike only Kikyo looked a bit older. Now doubt they looked like Kocho and Asuka when they were younger, but being 10 years apart it was impossible to be twins. This Kikyo was just as fine as Kagome was and she looked to be a bit wiser. Hell she was sexy.
