InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ Breakaway ❯ Commerical ( Chapter 1 )
Here's a little preview of the story I've got planned. I've been so antsy about getting it out, that I almost made the first chapter two pages! But I know I owe it to everyone to make long chapters like I have done previously. I will try not to let any of you down!

She wished for a better life, a better future, a better self, someone to love…
--------------------------------------------------------------- -----------------
It was always the same, and she couldn't help but wish for a change. She wanted so badly to snap back at her English teacher, she wanted to rampage through the school yelling profanity-something that wasn't her. But she couldn't, she could only be herself, and follow every rule like it was a life threatening situation.
"C'mon Kagome, we'll be late." Her friend called, clearly unaware of what was going through her mind. She looked down at her black shoes and noticed that they were growing duller by day. The once favorable shine that they had taken when she had gotten them was leaving, and she wondered if that's what was happening to her happiness. She frowned slightly and tried to decide how she should go about without a smile on her face, without happiness flowing through her system. And then she realized that she probably couldn't.
"Kagome? Are you all right?" She asked again, trying to get Kagome out of her trance. She sighed and shook herself out of her thoughts, finally clearing her head momentarily.
"Fine, just fine." She waved her off and started off at a faster pace.
---------------------------------------------------------
It was always just fine, but fine was about to change…
---------------------------------------------------------
She stared with open eyes, cerulean gaping into soft grey. Her heart beat sped up, and her mind was working a mile a minute trying to process what she had just heard. Her grandfather was smiling at her like he had just given her the greatest present of all, but she wasn't sure that it was. It was a one-way ticket out of her normal life into something new, and she didn't know it she was ready.
"A-are you serious?" She whispered to the old man, taking a seat on the hood of the limousine that he had been riding in. He nodded, not making a move to sit next to her. Maybe he was too high in society to do so. She looked back at her school, seeing only the prison that had sucked the happiness from her soul, and saw her friends socializing with a bunch of people. They didn't need her, and she didn't need them.
------------------------------------------
With good news, anything can happen…
------------------------------------------
"You are the most inconsiderate jerk I have ever met!" She screamed at the man before her, nearly updating the entire castle of their predicament. For once, she had started with a smile on her face, and here he was trying to cut off her wings.
"And for that, I thank you. I now feel complete with those valuable words of yours." He laughed arrogantly, making sure that he could see the steam pour from her ears in rage. She narrowed her eyes at him before turning away and stomping off to her room-or where she hoped it was located.
"You're so nerving!" She ground out as she walked away, not caring if he heard her parting words.
--------------------------------------------------------------- -----------------------
Forcing yourself to love only leads to showing you the right way, even if you don't want it to be…
--------------------------------------------------------------- -----------------------
"You tell yourself at night that you love him, but the question is…do you?" Sango asked, her chocolate brown orbs staring intently into hers. She winced under her stare, not knowing what her heart was trying to tell her.
"I…I…" She tried, but was halted from her confession when Inuyasha came through the nearest doorway; glasses perched on his nose and book in his hand. Her eyes watched him as he grunted in acknowledgement, making his way elsewhere in the palace. Sango looked from the man to her friend, realizing the mistake she hadn't seen before.
"Please don't tell me what I think is true, please." Sango whispered, staring into her eyes, seeing the emotion as clear as water through her crystallized orbs. She closed her own eyes, turning away.
-----------------------------------------
In the end, only your heart can chose…
-----------------------------------------
"I left him with a broken heart, and this is how you see everything?" She said as calm as she could, her tears gently rolling down her cheeks. He looked at her and had to look away. He couldn't stand to see her cry, but he had to remain strong.
"Well it's not my fault you left him." He replied, avoiding eye contact. She held back her scream and leashed what anger she could.
"You think I left him because I'm a nut shell wanting to do this?" She said, stepping closer until he was only a breath away. "I left him because of you." He couldn't look at her anymore; he just stared off to the side-anywhere but her.
"I left him standing at the alter for you! I broke his heart in attempt to save myself from the pain of it all!" She screamed before backing up. "But I guess I was wrong-it always will hurt."
--------------------------------------------------------------- ---------
She just needed to get out, be free; she just needed to breakaway…
