First Night
Kagome watched with hooded, wanting eyes as InuYasha slid into bed and pulled the cover over them. She smiled, rolling on her right side to meet him. He returned it, but his eyes, glittering with emotion, said more than a simple smile could as they studied her face. He lifted a hand, slightly trembling, to her cheek. “I...” He swallowed hard, trying to get the words out.
She rested her hand on his and gave him a brief, soft kiss. “Husband,” she said, pulling back just enough to study his face, watching the mixture of want and love and uncertainty in his eyes. Still holding his hand, she gave it a little squeeze. “I’ve been wanting this for so long.”
“So long,” InuYasha said, his voice thick with emotion. Almost hesitantly, he slid his arms around her, one arm pillowing her head, the other pulling her close. “It’s almost like fire,” he said. “I didn’t know...“
He began to grope for words again. Kagome brushed her fingers across his lips.
“That it could feel like this?” she asked.
InuYasha nodded, then closed his eyes a moment and took a deep breath as his hand slid from her waist, first up her spine, and then past her waist to her bottom. “I....”InuYasha tried again, but he still couldn’t get the words out. So instead he kissed her.
It was a gentle, tender kiss, his lips gently brushing across hers, his tongue teasing, but not trying to dominate. Kagome melted in his touch, and one kiss followed another, each a bit more heated than the one before as they drank in each other’s taste and let their bodies press together, learning the feel of each other, how they fit together. As InuYasha’s hands slid across her back and cupped her head, keeping her pressed against him, Kagome’s hands slipped through the satin of his hair as her right hand cupped his cheek. Her left arm slid under his and traced the plane of his back, the line of his spine.
He broke the last kiss, and propped himself up on his left elbow, watching her, his eyes simmering bronze. She had no uncertainty in her glance or her scent, only invitation and want. “Kagome...”
“InuYasha,” she replied, then she let her lips brush across his, feather light. They left his lips and trailed down his chin.
His eyes shut at the sensation and he let his head roll back, making a little soundless gasp of pleasure. Her mouth found his mouth again, and this time he pulled her closer, dominating the kiss, feeling her warmth and the curve of her body pressing against his. His body ached with want as he found himself rocking against her, his arousal pressing against the softness of her tummy.
“I...” For the third time, he couldn’t put what he wanted to say into words. She smiled again, a bit wickedly and let her hand drop as she let her hand rove down the skin of his hip, dropping across his abdomen with light feather touches until she brushed against the hard length pressing against her. He hissed in pleasure at the sensation and chose that moment to roll her under him, letting one of his legs slide between hers. She was warm and soft and her eyes looked at his heavy-lidded. Hesitantly, he slid his hands under her shoulder blades, but supported his own weight up on his elbows.
She reached up and wrapped her arms around him, tangling in his hair.
He leaned closer, their noses almost touching. “Please,” he said. “Be real and not a dream.”
“I am not a dream, InuYasha,” she replied, her voice soft and languid, but certain. “I’m not going anywhere.”
He kissed her again, not so tender this time, but caught up in his need and his passion, tasting her, drowning in the sensation of her body beneath his, the sweet smell of her spiced with her want, the sound of her breathing and her heartbeat.
“Kagome...” he said, breaking the kiss. “I’ve needed you so long. So much.”
“I’m here,” she whispered, brushing a piece of his bangs out of the way to see his eyes better . “I’m here forever.”
“I’ve dreamed...” he said.
“I have, too,” she replied. “Show me yours.”
His mouth found hers again, and trailed down, kissing her throat, her collar bone, finding his way to her breasts. He licked one rosy nipple, and she moaned at the contact, arching up. Using that for his signal, he let his lips close over it, and as he experimentally laved it with his tongue, and suckled, she gasped.
Her hands went into his hair, and began to fondle the base of his ears. He looked up at her, and watched her face, eyes closed, lost to her pleasure.
“Better than my dreams,” he murmured.
She opened her eyes to gaze at him. “Much better.”
The fire in her eyes called to him. With a groan, he crawled back up her body crushing her to him, plundering her mouth, trying to pour all the words he felt stuck in his throat and heart into her. As if in answer to everything unsaid but that she still heard, she wrapped herself around him, her arms around his shoulders, her legs around his waist.
He hissed as his manhood touched her center for the first time. She rubbed herself against him.
“I...” InuYasha said, grasping for words. He whimpered as she arched against him, rocking in her own want. He swallowed, then made a deep sound, almost a growl as he fought to say what was overwhelming him. “I..I...love you, Kagome,” he managed at last. He clasped her to him desperately, kissed her desperately as he spoke. “I... I want you so much. Stay with me forever. I...”
Running out of words, he hovered over her, looking at her expectantly, almost afraid. She smiled, cupping each side of his face with her hands. “And I love you, too, InuYasha. Be one with me. Let’s start our forever now.”
With a moan, he slid into her warmth, and began his new life. As they rocked together, wrapped up in the intensity and newness of the sensation, and the magic of what they were creating wrapped around them building up into a crescendo, he could vaguely discern he was crossing a bridge from a place he could never return to. And as the woman who held his heart crested that peak, and pulled him over, and his voice cried out as his body tumbled down from the height, he left that old place behind with no regret.
