Broken Promises

 

Chapter 1

 

The meeting

 

 

 

Two girls, best friends actually, were talking over AIM one night. Discussing boys, what classes they had for their new year of High school and other random stuff they could think of. It's what they did every time they chatted over the internet.

 

(Miko2345 - Kagome. PrincessKikyo136 - Kikyo.)

 

PrincessKikyo136: hey kagome, what classes you taking this year?

Miko2345: Hey chicka. Um... lemme check. Hang on.

PrincessKikyo136: okay

PrincessKikyo136: i'll type mine up while you look

PrincessKikyo136: 1st block/PE - Tooker, 2nd/Algebra - Kengeta, 3rd/Frosh Tech - Wyatt, 4th/Spanish 1 - Arlington

Miko2345: Okay, I found them.

Miko2345: We only have PE together, how sad.

PrincessKikyo136: that sucks

Miko2345: Yeah, well I have to go. Gotta pick out what I'm going to wear for school tomorrow!

Miko2345: Byes!

PrincessKikyo136: bye, see ya tomorrow

 

Miko2345 has signed off at 7:43:58PM.

 

I wish we had more classes together. And I heard Mrs. Tooker was a really heard PE teacher, oh well, at least Kikyo's in it. Hopefully, Kagura and Yura are in it too, maybe I'll even meet some new people, who knows. Kagome stayed on the same train of thought as she looked for something to wear to school tomorrow; she wanted to make a good impression on everyone, seeing as it was her first year of high school. You know how that can be; new people, new school, don't really know what your doing.

Wednesday, first day of school…

 

Kagome awkwardly got out of her car that morning, she felt weird going to a new school. She waved good-bye to her mom in a distracted way. The school was big, much bigger then her junior high school, which wasn't even a junior high in the first place; it was an Elementary school, K-8.

 

She didn't recognize anyone yet, just wondered down to the gym, like the signs said to. Once she got in there she was assaulted by a wave of heat. Does this gym not have air conditioning or something? It's super hot in here. Kagome slowly made her way through the crowd of people until she came across Sango, one of her best friend from her old school.

 

“Hey Kagome! Isn't this crazy? There are so many people in here! And they're all freshman too” said Sango, pulling Kagome over to some other people she knew.

 

Kagome spotted a familiar face in the crowd, “Kikyo!” Said person whipped around to see who called her name, her brows shot up, it was Kagome.

 

“Kagome!” Kikyo ran through the crowd, pushing people out of her way if needed. She wanted to see Kagome again, it had been so long.

 

“I missed you” Kagome said as she embraced Kikyo like she had been gone for a year.

 

“Oh, I missed you too. Come meet Kouga, he's really cute. He's in our PE class too, well sort of.” Kikyo pulled Kagome away from Sango, who waved good-bye as she saw Kagome leave.

 

“School just started and you're already meeting boys, how I wish I was you” Kagome smiled at her friend.

 

“Yeah, I know, you've told me before Kagome. But, he's really nice, and he has some friends that are equally as good looking, but not as good looking as Kouga” Kikyo giggled, and Kagome joined her.

 

The two finally found Kouga and his friends standing over by the bleachers. Kikyo let go of Kagome's wrist and gave Kouga a quick hug.

 

“Kagome, meet Kouga. Kouga, meet Kagome” Kikyo said pointing to each of them as she introduced her friends to each other.

 

“Hi” Kagome awkwardly said, waving slightly

 

“Hi yourself” Kouga grinned at her shyness.

 

Someone coughed over to side of Kagome and Kouga looked over and his smile left his face.

 

“Oh, yeah, I forgot. That's Inuyasha and Miroku, my friends, I guess” Kagome smiled at both of them, but she couldn't seem to take her eyes off of Inuyasha. He was tall, probably about six feet, had silver hair and golden eyes. His eyes are what Kagome couldn't figure out, who has golden eyes nowadays? They had to be contacts. There's no other explanation to it, he has contacts that are golden colored. And his hair must be dyed, it's impossible to have silver hair. Kagome thoughts were interrupted by Inuyasha

 

“Wench, stop staring. Or better yet, take a picture, it'll last longer”

 

“What did you just call me?”

 

“Wench”

 

“You… you jerk!” Kagome stomped off over to Sango muttering under breath about a certain silver haired boy. Of course, Inuyasha heard every word, but he wasn't about to let anyone know that.

 

“What a lovely girl” Miroku had been watching the whole thing, “Nice ass too”

 

Inuyasha hit him over the head, “Pervert”

 

“I'm hurt Inuyasha, I was just complimenting our new friend”

 

“Yeah, well, I'm sure your mind thought otherwise” Miroku crossed his arms over his chest and ignored Inuyasha.

 

“Hey, where'd Kagome go?” asked Kikyo, having not been paying attention.

 

“Who? The wench? She got mad and ran away” Inuyasha told her, bored.

 

“What did you say this time, dog breath?” Kouga cut in, finding interest in the conversation. Inuyasha shot him a look, knowing what the insult was directed toward.

 

“Nothing, just stated the truth”

 

“Which was?”

 

“She should stop staring”

 

“Yeah, and I'm sure you stated it nicely”

 

Inuyasha rolled his eyes and walked off to some of his other friends.

“Oh the nerve of him” Kagome mumbled in one of her later classes. She couldn't get his words out of her head. Or his eyes. They're so unreal, maybe if he had normal eyes and normal hair I wouldn't have been staring. Although, he was kind of cute. No, get those thoughts out of your head Kagome! But, those eyes, I'll never get them out of my head now…

Hah. What a lovely start, I guess… Well, review if you can please! There will be other conversations on “AIM” for them. I'll put the names up as they go. Cause they are totally random names that I make up off the top of my head. Um… yes there are demons and stuff in this story. I could never part with Inuyasha's ears. XD He'll either be wearing a hat or have a concealment spell when he's at school. Yes, it's an AU fic. Um… that's it.
