Chapter 8

Kagome is walking towards the Sacred Tree. She is enjoying the nice spring air, the sun beating down on her skin and the beautiful flowers sprouting beneath her feet.

As she stops directly in front of the Goshinboku, she places her right hand on the spot where Kikyo's arrow had pierced through Inuyasha's chest. She closes her eyes and takes a deep breath in, trying to calm her racing mind.

Suddenly, the air around her becomes eerily silent. The birds stopped chirping, the bugs stopped buzzing, even the wind abruptly stopped blowing her hair around her face.

Kagome's eyes shot open as she gasped and held in her breath. Her hand trembled while still pressed against the cool bark of the tree. It feels as if she is being watched, but she is too frightened to turn around. She's too scared to even breathe or move any part of her body a single inch.

Her eyes squeezed shut tight when she felt his hot breath against the back of her neck. He placed both of his hands on each of her hips as he ground his hardened erection against the crease of her backside.

A single tear escaped her eye as words escaped her. She wanted to scream for help, but nothing would come out. She wanted to turn around and fight, but she was frozen in place.

That's when she heard his voice. Menacing and evil. The deepness of his vocal cords are causing threatening vibrations against her spine. She shutters in disgust as he nips her ear and  utters the one thing she has been dreading to hear.

"I told you I would come for you, my impure little whore."

Suddenly, Kagome shot up in her sleeping bag, screaming as if she was witnessing everyone she cares about being brutally murdered.

She hurriedly pushes the sleeping bag off of her body, feeling unbearably hot. She put her hands to the side of her head as she pulled her knees up to her chest. She started to rock back and forth, tears streaming down her face, mumbling unknown words into the darkness of the hut.

As soon as Inuyasha had heard Kagome scream, he was next to her in an instant. Her other friends were watching the scene worriedly, Shippo was cluching his stuffed fox with wide tearful eyes.

Inuyasha is crouched in front of Kagome, hands cupping her cheeks and forcing her to look at him. She seems to be far away however, still mumbling to herself and crying profusely.

"Kagome, everything is okay. Come back to me, my saiai mate." Inuyasha leaned forward and nuzzled his face into her neck lovingly.

"Inu..." Kagome sobbed piteously, yet she still seems to be lost in her own world. Her breathing is coming in short pants as her heart rate is escalating dangerously fast.

Miroku crouched on the other side of Inuyasha and held his hand out. Inuyasha growled lightly, but the monk simply ignored him.

"Kagome-sama... take a deep breath in and grab my hand."

Kagome's frightened widened eyes shot to Miroku's sincere indigo ones as she held her arms around herself tighter. "He... I can't..." She closed her eyes tightly and sobbed into her knees.

Inuyasha decided in this moment, he needs to put his unfound jealousy aside and trust his friend. He is a monk, afterall. He backed away and went to sit behind Kagome and wrap his arms around her. He gave Miroku a look to let him know he doesn't know what to do and needs his help.

Miroku nodded his head as he sat in front of the distraught Miko.

"Kagome-sama..." Her eyes met his once again and he took calming breaths in and out. "Do as I do. Calm your mind and breathe with me."

Kagome nodded her head shakily as she took a shuddering breath in, her tears staining her cheeks, and let it back out slowly.

Miroku nodded his head and held his hand back out towards her. "Do you trust me, Kagome-sama?"

She looked down at his hand and then back to his worried gaze. She nodded her head and reached forward to grasp his hand in her own. Miroku smiled sadly as he allowed a little bit of his spiritual power to flow through to her.

"Now close your eyes and continue to breathe in for five seconds, hold your breath for two seconds, and then breathe out for seven seconds. I'll do it with you."

Kagome did as she was told. She closed her eyes and tried to relax her racing heart. She could feel Inuyasha's warm embrace from behind her and hear Miroku's breathing in front of her. She breathed in and counted to five, holding it in for two seconds, and then letting it out as she counted to seven in her head.

Miroku squeezed her hand lightly, allowing small amounts of his power to calm her down. "Good. Do it with me two more times."

Kagome's body began to relax as she focused on her breathing. Two more times she did what he had told her to do. She counted to five as she breathed in, held it for two, and then let it out slowly, counting to seven. When she finished, she opened her brown eyes and locked them with Miroku's indigo ones. Her lower lip trembled as she pulled him into a hug.

"Thank you. I'm sorry..."

Miroku kept his hands in safe territory as he hugged the young Miko back. He pulled away from her and put a hand to her shoulder. "It is perfectly fine, Kagome-sama. Would you want to learn to do some more breathing exercises with me? I could show you the art of meditation also. It is very helpful in clearing one's mind."

Kagome nodded her head vigorously as she leaned back into Inuyasha's embrace. She turned her head and snuggled into him, breathing in his forest and fresh rain scent. She looked back around at the other occupants of the small hut and felt very embarrassed in that moment.

"I... I'm sorry, it was just a stupid dream..." She looked down at her hands and sighed.

Inuyasha nuzzled the back of her neck and let out his calming rumble. "It ain't stupid. I shoulda been sleeping next to ya. I'll stay with ya every night from now on."

Kagome nodded her head and relaxed her body, suddenly feeling very exhausted.

Sango put a hand to Kagome's arm and squeezed lightly. "It will get better, Kagome. We are all here for you and there is nothing to be ashamed of."

Kagome's eyes went from Sango's to Shippo's when he began to speak. "Yeah, Kagome. I'll always protect you!" He crawled into her lap, holding his stuffed fox close while cuddling into her stomach.

She turned to Kaede as she heard the old Miko's voice. "Aye, child. We are all here for ye. Would ye like some calming herbs to help with ye nerves?"

Kagome shook her head as her eyes began to droop. "No thanks, Kaede. I am on some future herbs that are going to start working soon. I don't know the effects of mixing them with the ones from this era." She yawned as her eyes closed fully.

"Aye child."

Everyone could tell that Kagome had fully fallen asleep, so they went to their respective spots to get a few more hours of rest before morning. Inuyasha leaned up against the wall of the hut as he pulled Kagome closer to his chest. He looked down at the sleeping girl in his arms and sighed.

'I'm such a baka. I shoulda slept next to you...' He nuzzled his face into her hair and took a calming breath in of her delicious fragrance. 'I promise, I will sleep by your side every single night for the rest of our lives.'

Kagome's eyes slowly opened as the sun rose above the horizon. The first thing she noticed was the warm embrace of her mate holding her close. The second thing she noticed was her little kit snoring quietly while cuddled up to her stomach, still cluching his new stuffed fox.

She lifted her head and looked around the hut. Kaede was gone, probably out collecting herbs she assumed. Sango and Miroku were sitting on the other side of the hut drinking tea. She put a hand to her pounding head and closed her eyes.

"Ya alright, Kagome?"

She lifted her face to look into Inuyasha's worried eyes. She nodded her head, feeling dizzy and nauseous. She figures it is from all of the anxiety throughout the night and crying herself to sleep.

"Hai... I just have a headache and feel a little sick... but nothing some breakfast won't cure."

Sango crouched down in front of the young Miko, catching her attention, and smiled at her. "Here, just some hot tea. This should relax your stomach."

Kagome took the tea and returned the taijiya's smile. "Thank you, Sango. I'm..." She looked down at the drink in her hands. "I'm sorry if you lost sleep because of me."

"Do not worry yourself, Kagome. I will always be here for you, remember that."

Kagome looked back up into her friend's sincere brown eyes and nodded her head. "Thanks."

Sango nodded her head and went back over to her spot next to Miroku.

Kagome sipped her drink slowly, enjoying the heat as it trailed down her throat and into her stomach. She sighed as she snuggled deeper into Inuyasha's rumbly chest.

"Inuyasha?"

Inuyasha nuzzled the side of her neck and increased his purr. "Yeah?"

"Why... Why does that sound calm me so much?" She blushed as she asked, but it has been in the back of her mind for a while now.

Inuyasha kissed her cheek softly, squeezing her just a little more firmly. "It's my mate call. Inuyoukai have different growls for different situations. That one is meant only for my true mate. It'll calm ya down and make ya feel safe."

Kagome smiled as she turned her face around to look into his bright golden eyes. "You are the best mate ever, you know. I love you so much."

Inuyasha nuzzled his face lovingly against her cheek and pulled back to capture her lips with his. He loves the little sighs she lets out while in these moments. It lets him know how content she is to be with him. When he pulled away, their gazes stayed locked together for a few more minutes.

Finally, Kagome gave him a chaste kiss before standing up, making sure not to jostle the sleeping kit, and laying him in Inuyasha's lap.

"Where ya goin'? Ya ain't leavin' without me, woman."

She turned to look at him with a small blush coloring her cheeks. "I gotta use the bathroom Inuyasha. You are not following me for that."

Inuyasha growled as he looked at Sango. "Go with her." It left no room for argument.

Sango nodded her head as she stood and followed Kagome outside.

The truth is, Kagome is still frightened to be walking around this era alone. The only thing keeping her from having her protector with her, is the embarrassment at the thought of him being there during such a private moment. She was more than relieved when he told Sango to join her. The taijiya has seen her naked countless times, plus she will respectfully turn her back until she is finished. It's just like using the public restroom in the modern era. Except for the fact that it is outside and not in a stall, her mind mused.

Kagome and Sango walked silently to a set of bushes by the outline of the village. Kagome turned to her friend just as they arrived. "Thanks Sango... I'm sorry you gotta babysit me like this..."

Sango smiled warmly at her. "Stop apologizing, Kagome. I am happy to help in any way that I can."

Kagome nodded her head as she stepped behind the bush and relieved herself, using her future biodegradable wipes to keep herself clean before resituating her clothes and stepping back out.

"Well, might as well eat breakfast and then continue our journey towards the East."

Sango nodded her head in agreement as the girls walked back to the hut.

After the Inutachi's stomachs were full and they were fully packed, they said their goodbyes to Kaede and left. Kagome convinced Inuyasha to leave half of his load of Ramen with Kaede so they have only one bag to carry instead of two. He had narrowed his eyes at the old woman and exclaimed that he knew exactly how many were there before huffing and walking out. Kagome shook her head and told the old Miko to eat a few if she pleases and she will take the brunt of Inuyasha's non-frightening ire. Kaede chuckled as Kagome and the others left to continue on their shard hunt.

Kagome is riding on Inuyasha's back, Shippo on her shoulder, and Sango and Miroku atop Kirara. Kagome held on a little tighter than usual, not out of fear, but because she didn't realize just how much she missed this. His clawed hands gripping her thighs, the wind lightly caressing her face, the feeling of flying whenever he makes a particularly high jump into the air... She snuggles her face into the back of his neck and sighs in contentment. Unknown to her, Inuyasha smiles happily, he has missed this just as much as she had.

About an hour pass by and Inuyasha slows his run to a walk. He sniffs the air and growls as he grasps the hilt of Tetsusaiga. Kagome slipped off of him to stand at his side as she grabbed her bow from her back and notched an arrow. Sango and Miroku jumped off of Kirara, getting into their battle ready stance as Shippo jumped over to sit on Miroku's shoulder.

"What is it, Inuyasha?" Kagome asked worriedly. She doesn't sense any jewel shards, so she is hoping it isn't the worst case scenario.

"I smell blood. A lot of human blood, and the scent of it is coming closer to us."

Their eyes widened as they saw what could only be described as a tidle wave of blood towered over the group.

"Holy Buddha..."

Miroku and Sango jumped onto Kirara's back and flew above the scene as Kagome clung to the back of Inuyasha's Suikan and closed her eyes.

Inuyasha growled as he unsheathed Tetsusaiga and swiped forth a major Kaze no Kizu. The blood wave split down the middle, allowing Inuyasha and Kagome to stay untouched, while it rained down around them. When Kagome opened her eyes, there was crimson pools of blood oozing around the surrounding area.

"What...?"

Inuyasha snarled as he held his sword at the ready. "Show yourself!"

A tall bald man with frightening red eyes stepped forward from behind what was a barrier made of blood. He smiled menacingly at the group in front of him.

"Are you the one called, I-nu-ya-sha?"

"Keh. Who wants to know?"

His smile widened as he pulled out a rolled up painting from his robes. "I am called Chinoshi. But you may call me, Chi. Pleased to make your acquaintance." He bowed low before straightening back up and eyeing them each carefully.

Inuyasha growled and narrowed his eyes. "Give me one good reason not to fucking slice your pathetic body in half, you bastard."

Chi cocked his head to the side, as if to weigh his question around in his mind seriously. "If you did that, we wouldn't be able to get to know each other better, now would we?" He looked at the strange girl clinging to Inuyasha's back and his smile widened. "What a pretty young thing. Why are you with a half-breed when you could be with a full demon, like me?"

Kagome's blood ran cold as Inuyasha snarled dangerously. "Don't. Fucking. Look at her! Kaze no Kizu!"

The Inutachi watched as the wind scar dissipated and the strange demon was still standing, a shield of blood swirling around his body. Chi allowed the blood to fall to a heep on the ground and his smile widened.

"Hmm... I seemed to have hit a sore spot. Are you perhaps, in love with the human female? I scent no mark upon her flesh, yet..." He took a deep breath in and smirked. "Tsk tsk. What have we have here? She is no longer pure? What kind of dog demon are you to want to mate with an impure Miko?"

Sango and Miroku gasped as they looked towards Kagome who's face is hidden by her bangs. Inuyasha snarled dangerously as his eyes began to bleed red.

This only seemed to delight Chi further. He eyed Kagome up and down, noticing her more subdued posture and shrugged his shoulders. "I can see why you gave yourself away so easily. tsk tsk. Such a subdued and weak submissive little thing you are. Why don't you leave this dog behind and come play with me instead?"

Before Inuyasha or the rest of the group could do anything, Kagome released her hold on the back of his Suikan and clenched her fists to her sides. One hand holding tight to her bow and the other clenched so tight to her arrow that it broke in half. Luckily she removed her hands from Inuyasha, because the air around her body began to sizzle in a bright pink light.

She stepped forward, ignoring Inuyasha's demands to stay behind him, knowing he can't touch her at the moment. Her head shot up to show her anger filled gaze as she narrowed her eyes at the man in front of her.

She pulled another arrow out from the quiver on her back and notched it as she continued to stare directly into this unknown demons blood red eyes.

"You think you know me?" Kagome spat as she let out a sadistic laugh, one that Inuyasha hasn't heard since shortly after she was rescued from Naraku. "You know nothing about who I am." She lifted her bow and aimed her arrow towards the smug man's face. "What is it that you want, and how are you using human blood?" The pink glow of her reiki began to engulf the area, her anger fueling the proverbial fire.

Inuyasha had no choice but to step away from her to prevent himself from being turned human. Shippo's tail was shaking at the insane power coming from the woman he admires with all of his heart. Kirara's fur is bristling, her youki unable to tell friend from foe with how strong the reiki user is. Sango is watching in awe, while Miroku's eyes are comically wide.

Chi took an involuntary step back before he steeled his resolve and his cocky grin was firmly in place. "So, you do have a spark to you." He changed his straight posture to something more nonchalant as he smiled at her warmly. "I guess I'll indulge in your curiosity... Only because you are the most beautiful woman I have ever seen."

Inuyasha tightened his grasp on his sword as the purple markings on his face began to appear. "Mate."

Kagome barely glanced at him through the corner of her eye before her attention was fully on the evil man in front of her. "I'm fine, Inuyasha." She practically grit it out through her clenched teeth. She was fine in the sense that she knew she wasn't in physical danger, but she was down right pissed at the arrogant bastard in front of her. She held her head up high and demanded once again. "Now, tell me how you are using human blood!"

Chi lifted the scroll he is still holding out in front of him. He stroked the outside of it with the tips of his fingers and licked his lips as his eyes bore into hers.

"I merely hunt for it and then the blood of my victory bends to my will. Would you like a demonstration?"

Without waiting for an answer, he released the scroll. A large winged dragon made entirely of blood towered above the Inutachi. It roared into the air before it had waves upon waves of blood pouring out of its mouth and towards the young Miko.

Inuyasha's eyes widened as he was about to jump forward, but a huge flare of reiki caused him to slam the tip of his sword into the ground and use it as a shield. Kirara flew higher into the air and everyone watched as Kagome stood completely still, an intense pink barrier surrounding her body.

The dragon began to get angered as it's blood bath couldn't reach the human female. Chi was a little irritated, but didn't believe she could seriously do much damage.

That thought would soon become his downfall.

Kagome aimed her bow towards the dragon and fired without a second thought. The bright pink light surrounded it and instantly dissipated any remains of what was once supposed to be a formidable foe. Her reiki sparkled around the area, clearing the remaining blood that were in puddles around the group. The entire place was in perfect condition, green grass and blooming flowers as of nothing evil had ever been there.

Kagome notched another arrow and aimed it towards the infuriating man. "Would an impure Miko be able to do that? Or are you going to continue to speak about me as if you know me?"

Chi's lips tightened into a firm line as he narrowed his eyes at her. He put that scroll away and and shoved his hands into his pockets.

"You bitch. Prepare to die!"

A swirling mass of blood began to surround Chi and get bigger and bigger. Inuyasha still couldn't get too close to his mate, only enraging his inner demon further.

"Damn it! Kagome, come back to me now!"

Kagome ignored her mates command as she closed her eyes and reached for the power she knows she has. She won't be called a weak and subdued human ever again.

She began to glow and even brighter pink as it engulfed her entire body, making her human form no longer visible to the people around her. The crimson of blood and the pink of her reiki started to collide between the two, fighting for dominance while the others could do nothing but hold their own. Inuyasha had to use his Tetsusaiga as a shield as residual blood and reiki attacks flew wildly around them. Miroku is holding his staff in both hands around Sango's waist, keeping them along with Shippo and Kirara safely inside of his barrier.

Kagome's power began to rise as her anger grew to dangerous levels. 'That bastard. He kills humans and uses their blood as his own personal weapon... and he calls me impure?'

She opens her eyes and in one split second, an explosion of pink and blue energy surround the area. It blows the evil demon's blood tornato away, causing him to crash into the ground and roll a few times like a ragdoll. Kagome pulled her power back into her body and stepped close to the groaning man. She looked down at him with disgust.

"I don't very much enjoy killing, so consider yourself lucky." She turned and walked towards a completely baffled Inuyasha. As she was passing him, with tears in her eyes, she spoke quietly. "He's all yours..."

Inuyasha nodded his head dumbly as he pulled his sword out of the ground and yelled towards the still immobile man. "Oi, Chi!" When Chi barely lifted his head and scowled at the hanyou, Inuyasha grinned, showing his sharpened fangs. "My mate ain't so submissive, is she? Kaze no Kizu!" And the demon of blood was vanished.

Inuyasha sheathed his sword and turned around, his grin immediately disappearing as he ran towards Kagome. She was sitting down, leaning up against a transformed Kirara while the others were crowding her. He crouched down in front of her pale form and lifted her chin up to look at him.

"Are ya alright?"

"She will be fine, Inuyasha. Her body is not used to exuding so much spiritual power at once. She needs to rest and replenish her energy. It is a good time for lunch anyway." Miroku calmy explained.

Sango began to unpack some Ramen, assuming Inuyasha won't want to leave Kagome to go hunting. Miroku grabbed wood and began to make the pit so Shippo can start the fire. Inuyasha pulled Kagome into his lap and hugged her tight.

"You were such a badass! It was really fuckin' hot... Ya know, once I knew ya weren't gonna die."

Kagome pulled back from his embrace and smiled weakly. "Learn those words from Souta, did you? I'm starting to think my little brother is a bad influence on you and not the other way around."

Inuyasha only grinned as he smashed his lips to hers. Kagome wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him as close to her as she possibly could. She moaned against his mouth when a fang pierced her lip, loving the way he soothes the sting with his tongue. She snaked her own tongue out to taste him in return, opening her mouth as he opens his. She tasted his tongue slowly and sensually before swiping hers across his fangs, eliciting an arousing growl from her mate.

Before this could escalate too far, she pulled back and rested her forehead against his. She chuckled quietly as she pulled back to look into his deep golden eyes.

"Do I get a reward like that every time I do something you like?"

Inuyasha growled as his hands tightened further on her hips. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath in, tamping down his raising libido, before opening them back up and staring intensely into her beautiful brown eyes once again.

"You are driving me insane, woman."

Kagome blushed as she lifted her hand to cup his cheek lovingly. She kissed him softly before leaning back against the fire cat.

"S-Sorry, Inuyasha..."

Inuyasha sat next to her and stuffed his hands into his sleeves. "Feh... You're lucky I love you, wench."

Kagome turned to look at him and smiled widely. "I know."

Miroku whispered into Sango's ear as they were finishing up with the noodles. "You know, Sango... they don't have to be the only adult couple giving into their feelings..."

Sango blushed as she looked away from him. "If you are insinuating anything perverted monk, I swear I'll -"

"Sango..."

She turned, confused at the seriousness of his voice and blushed when he grabbed her hands within his. "I am sorry for my behavior in the past. I am hoping that if I were to become less forward with my actions, if you would enjoy my company a little more."

Her blush intensified. "Wh-what are you talking about, Miroku?"

He began to rub small circles on the back of her hands and he gave her a charming smile. "If I felt the need to touch you... could I hold your hand, instead? Would that be okay, my dear Sango?"

"Uhm..."

Shippo rolled his eyes as he said, "say yes, baka!" and then ran to go color before lunch was ready.

Sango's face now rivaled that of a tomato as she dumbly nodded her head. "A-as long as you keep your hands to more innocent territory, I would not mind your company, Miroku..."

Miroku's face lit up as he nodded his head and released her hands to begin pouring the hot water into the cup noodles. Sango just stood there in shock for a moment before shaking her head free and helping him serve lunch, a small smile on her face.

Miroku sat down with the group, and began to eat smugly. 'Thank you for that wonderful book, Kagome.'

A few hours later, Kagome's energy is fully replenished and they had already spoken to two different villages about the shard rumor. Apparently, they are getting close so they kept on trudging farther and farther East.

Suddenly, Kagome tensed from atop Inuyasha's back. "Two jewel shards, coming fast..."

Inuyasha growled as soon as the stench of wolf hit his nose. He set Kagome down on her feet and grasped at the hilt of his sword with his right hand, while his left was held out protectively in front of his mate. He can sense the nervousness in Kagome. Whether or not it's from fear that the wolf will actually hurt her or just not wanting to see him after everything that had happened, he doesn't know and frankly, he doesn't care. He just wants the mangy wolf to get the message.

'Kagome. Is. Mine.'

The others in the group halted behind Kagome and Inuyasha and waited for the 'mine is bigger' argument that is sure to ensue.

The tornado of wind arrived just a few seconds later, knocking Inuyasha onto the ground, revealing a smug demon in its place. Koga grabbed onto Kagome's hands and gave her that charming smile of his.

"Yo, how's my woman doing?"

Kagome's heart rate sped up, nervous and anxious at what may come of this meeting. "Uh, Koga-kun... It's been awhile." She giggled nervously as she tried to pull her hands away but he only tightened his grasp, seemingly unaware of the tenseness in the group. "Koga-kun... please let go..."

Inuyasha growled and jumped up from where he was knocked over and ripped the wolf away from Kagome. He put his arm around her waist and snarled at the wolf, his eyes rimmed red.

"Oh, mutt face, didn't see ya there. Are ya treating my mate good?"

He unsheathed his Tetsusaiga and pointed it at the wolf. "She ain't your mate. She's mine."

Koga seemed unphased, deciding to take a few sniffs. A grin appeared when he knew they haven't completed any sort of mate bond, but a couple more sniffs later and his grin turned into a furious scowl.

"Who the fuck did you let touch my woman!?"

Kagome's face was white as snow, knowing that this is going to go down hill extremely fast. But before anything was said further, a new voice was heard.

"That would be me."

Kagome gasped as she grabbed onto Inuyasha with as much strength as her small human body had, unbidden frightened tears immediately falling from her eyes. She was nervous about Koga, but now she is completely and utterly terrified of the voice they could all hear. Although, no one could see or sense where it is coming from.

Inuyasha growled as he made sure Kagome was kept protectively against his chest, his free hand holding the Tetsusaiga in front of them.

"Show yourself bastard! I'll fucking kill you for what you did!"

Koga was now more pissed then ever before. "You let her fall into the hands of Naraku! How could you be so fucking careless!?"

"Shut up! It ain't like I coulda been there while she was bathing!"

Kagome held him tighter as her breathing started to quicken. They all looked around when Naraku chuckled.

"Kukuku. And what a beautiful sight that was. A young maiden bathing in the light of day, all on her own. I just couldn't help myself."

Inuyasha's knuckles are turning white with the force he is holding onto his sword. "Come. Out. NOW!"

"Kukuku. I think I rather like my hiding place. What about you, Kagome. Do you want me to come out? Do you miss me that much, my tsuma?"

Kagome closed her eyes and shook her head. "I... Don't call me that..."

"What else should I call you? My defiled, impure little whore? Do you not still want me?"

Inuyasha's eyes are rimmed red as the scent of Kagome's tears and fear permeated the air. The voice of that bastard that they couldn't even see, is making him want to tear something, anything, to shreds.

"I would never want you!" Kagome all but screamed louder than she has ever before, as she held her arms firmly around Inuyasha's waist.

Naraku's grin widened from his place within the shadows. He chuckled menacingly, ready for the next phase of his plan to commence. "That is not what you told me when you were begging for me to fuck you."

Everyone stayed silent, the only sound was of Kagome's gasp. They could easily see her eyes widen and her breathing quicken. Inuyasha heard her heart beating faster and faster as her tears refused to stop.

"No... That... That isn't true..." Kagome murmured pitifully.

Inuyasha's hold on her loosened to look into her eyes as soon as he scented the lie. "K-Kagome?"

She shook her head, ignoring the evil laughing hanyou in the background as she pleaded with her mate to believe her. "You know he is a liar. I never wanted him!"

It would be the truth if her mind wasn't fully taken over at the time. So what she is saying, she believes is a complete lie. She truly thinks that she wanted him as much as he wanted her.

'She... She's lying to me...' Inuyasha growled as he looked back around the area. "What the hell did you do to her, you bastard!?"

"Kukuku. Why don't I show you?... Kanna."

Everyones eyes were immediately trained on the pale girl with white hair, a strong barrier around her body, and a mirror grasped in her hands.

Kagome held onto Inuyasha tighter. 'Show him? Wh-What...?'

Suddenly, Naraku's tentacles rose from the ground and wrapped around each human and demon. Kagome was trapped against Inuyasha, who's sword had fallen to the ground as they were lifted into the air. Miroku had reached for Sango's hand and just managed to grasp her, having them also tied together. Shippo and the small form of Kirara were forced together, Shippo's hands around the small cats back. Koga was struggling against his own bonds as he was raised up to be directly next to Kagome's other side. Kagome knew she couldn't use her powers for fear of hurting her mate and possibly killing Koga. She was trapped... again.

"Show them, Kanna."

As soon as the scene left the mirror and became 3D in front of their very eyes, Kagome's heart dropped.

'No...' Her eyes widened and she yelled out, "Shippo! Cover your ears and close your eyes! Do as I say!" She didn't get a response, so she asked, "Miroku... is he...?"

Miroku now understood what was happening as the scene played out before them. "H-Hai, he can't see or hear a thing, K-Kagome-sama..."

Kagome let her breath out, but now she has to worry about her mate. "Please... Please Inuyasha don't... don't watch..."

But she couldn't get him to listen. His red-rimmed eyes are fixated on the horrid scene before them. She managed to turn to the wolf, who was also staring wide-eyed at her worst memory. She closed her eyes tight and began to cry harder as this moment in her life continued to play out for everyone to see.

'I'm sorry... I'm so so sorry...'

He quickly grabs her by the throat and slams her onto the bed. Her eyes widen and a small tingle of fear ran through her.

"N-Naraku?"

"Shh. Just go with it, my love. I won't hurt you."

Kagome calmed her heart rate and focused on the throbbing cock settled between her thighs. She nodded her head and felt as his other hand started to probe her entrance. She moaned as she spread her legs further for him, bucking her hips slightly.

Naraku smiled as he kissed her hard before speaking huskily against her lips. "Hands and knees." He let go of her throat and backed off of her.

Kagome blushed, having never done it this way before, but quickly listened. She turned over onto her stomach and then pulled herself up onto her knees. She spread her legs slightly and felt as he got onto his knees directly behind her.

"Good girl."

She felt as he began to probe her wettened core with the tip of his erection, causing her to moan and get even wetter, dripping onto the bed below them.

Kagome whined lightly. "N-Naraku, please."

"Please what, my love?"

The scene faded and everyone was released from their prisons. Kagome fell to the ground, but didn't have the energy or the resolve to move. She held her head down, her bangs covering her eyes, not wanting to look at any of her friends... She doesn't even know if they are her friends anymore.

Inuyasha fell to his knees, his fallen Tetsusaiga long forgotten as his eyes bled fully red with light blue irises in the center. His purple markings are fully prominent and jagged across his cheeks. His fangs are protruding against his lips as his claws are sharper then ever before. He is breathing heavily and a continuous murderous growl is escaping from deep within his throat.

Sango and Miroku are holding each other with wide eyes, knowing that Kagome was brain washed, but not quite sure what to do in this moment. Kirara transformed to protect the small kitsune who is still holding his hands over his ears with his eyes shut tightly.

Koga looked from the transformed Inuyasha to the obviously distraught Kagome and towards all of their pack. He stood and snarled towards the youkai girl still standing there with an expressionless face.

"What the fuck kind of lies are you spewing for that monster!? Kagome would never do those things! She is pure, Naraku raped her!"

"Kukuku... I hope you have a good time explaining your actions to the canines, my sweet sweet Miko. Don't forget, I'll always come back for you."

Suddenly Kanna was gone and the air seemed more light, less polluted with evil. Naraku had escaped.

Inuyasha is on his hands and knees, his claws digging into the dirt as his threatening growl is unending.

Koga crouched down next to the sobbing girl. "Calm him down. He's gonna lose it! Just tell him the truth. Tell us it ain't true!"

Kagome's ashamed and sad eyes looked up at the ookami prince. "I... I can't... because... It is true..."

A/N: DUN DUN DUNNN! Sorry for the cliffy! I just really thought it was a great place to end this chapter.

Well, the long awaited memory scene was shown not just to Inuyasha, but everyone! (obviously except for Shippo. I am not so cruel as to do that).

I wasn't even planning on doing that this chapter, but that's where my mind led it. So I hope you are enjoying the emotional rollercoaster that is my fanfiction!

Also, I am not used to writing out fight scenes so I hope I did well with that!
