Chapter 19

"It was a... Shi no Yume Fly..."

Kaede's one good eye snapped to his and widened as tears immediately came to her as well. "I am sorry, Inuyasha... but... I am afraid we know not of a cure."

Inuyasha growled as he squeezed his fists tight, causing blood to trickle down his palms. "You gotta do something! I can't..." He looked down into Kagome's sweaty face. "I can't lose her." He looked at Miroku and Sango. "I can't lose any of them." He allowed Shippo down so the kit could curl up at Kagome's side as he locked his eyes back with Kaede's. "Please, Kaede... Wh-What do I do?"

A tear escaped the old Miko's eye as she saw the anguish within the hanyou. She continued to clean and bandage the humans wounds as she spoke. "I can make them comfortable, Inuyasha... I am afraid that is all I can do..."

Inuyasha's eyes closed tight as his unbidden tears fell down his cheeks. He wiped his face, but all it did was smear the blood he had shed along with Kagome's, even more. He looked down at Kagome and put a thumb to her cheek. He couldn't speak as his thoughts were jumbled within his mind.

They were just smiling and laughing together this morning. They were planning to get married and mate and have pups. How could he have failed to protect her? How could he have failed in his duty as her mate?

He leaned down and kissed Kagome's forehead, noticing how much hotter it had become, indicating a rising fever. "Please wake up. I know you are stronger than this, 'Gome..."

°•°•°

Kagome opened her eyes slowly, immediately regretting it and shutting them when her head started to pound from the effort. She went to put a hand to her aching head, but realized she couldn't move. That caught her immediate attention and her eyes shot back open, ignoring the pain it caused.

'Where am I?'

She turned her head as much as she could, but couldn't decipher where she is or what had happened. For the life of her, she couldn't remember.

"Inuyasha?" Her voice was strained from not being in use.

Her heart nearly stopped when a malevolent voice reached her ears. "Kukuku. That half-breed is not coming for you this time."

Kagome's heart pounded in her chest as she looked to where the voice had come from. She lifted her head slightly and saw the evil hanyou standing at the end of the bed she is paralyzed against. Her face flushed of all color when she noticed her manor of dress, or lack there of.

Panicking now, she tried to release her reiki... only to realize she can't. 'This isn't happening...'

Naraku stepped up to the side of the bed and reached forward to stroke the young Miko's cheek. It excited him further when she jerked her face away as if burned by his soft touch.

"What h-happened? Where's Inuyasha!?"

Naraku chuckled as he grasped her chin tightly and turned her to face his bright crimson gaze head on.

"That dog will not come for you this time, my beloved Miko. You have been here for three long days and he isn't even looking for you."

Kagome closed her eyes and used all of her energy to squeeze her fists tight against her sides. "I don't believe you." She whispered. 'Three days? What...?' Remembering her state of undress, she paled at the implications. She opened her eyes back up and stared defiantly at the smirking hanyou beside her. "What did you do to me!?"

Naraku stroked her cheek, almost lovingly, repulsing her further. "Kukuku. Nothing as of yet. I only gave you something to keep you asleep and paralyzed while we found a hiding place, far far away from your beloved mutt." His smile widened. "But now that you are awake and your powers are locked away, there is nothing keeping me from having my fun with you."

He swiped her bangs to the side softly before lowering his hand to her throat, causing her to gasp and close her eyes tight.

'No... This can't be happening! Inuyasha!'

°•°•°

Shippo uncurled himself from Kagome as her skin got too hot to bare. He put a tiny hand to her cheek as a tear fell down his face. He looked up at the silently crying hanyou and spoke up hesitantly.

"Y-You're gonna save them, right?"

Inuyasha refused to look into his eyes. He wanted nothing more than to leave and hunt that bastard down, but he can't leave Kagome. He can't leave her alone if... He shakes his head to get rid of those thoughts as he continued to stare at his mates sweaty face.

Shippo sighed as he went towards his other friends, noticing Kirara is licking Sango's face.

Kaede held out a wet rage for the hanyou and he took it without looking up so he could wipe Kagome's forehead and lay the cold rag against her heated skin.

Shippo sat behind Sango's head and looked down at her. His eyes continued to water as he prayed for his friends - his family - to wake up.

°•°•°

Sango was outside of her home stretching her aching limbs when her father and younger brother came up to her.

"Rest yourself, Sango. We'll be needing you again in a short time."

Sango stopped her stretches and nodded her head. "Yes, father." She began to walk away, but still overheard her father speaking to her younger brother.

"Kohaku, you, too, must prepare for battle."

Kohaku was a little nervous, having never joined in with the other slayers before. "Who, uh, me?"

Their father looked down upon him and spoke warmly but with eviction. "Yes, you are eleven now, plenty old enough to go into battle."

Kohaku looked down at his feet with his hands clenched at his sides. "Mm... Mm-hmm."

-

Kohaku was sitting on their front porch, swinging around his kusarigama, as Sango was laying on her stomach in front of a small Kirara. He spoke up tentatively with a slight nervousness to his voice. "Sango?"

"Yes?" She easily replied as she studied his face.

Kohaku held his kusarigama safely in his hand as he looked at her. "Do demons breathe fire and toxins as they say?"

Sango continued to pet Kirara as she responded without hesitation. "Sometimes."

Kohaku lowered his weapon and looked down into his lap. "Then it's true."

Sango crawled up next to him and looked at him worriedly. "Kohaku, what's wrong? You scared?"

Kohaku looked at her and responded defensively. "No, I never said I was scared." He looked back down and took a deep breath in. "Huh..."

Sango sat next to him with Kirara on her lap. She patted his shoulder and looked at him warmly. "You'll be fine. We exterminate snakes and spiders and such large beasts." She looked up in to the sky and continued. "As father says, the most frightening demon is one that masquerades as a human being." She looked back down at his youthful face. "He says that if that type of demon comes to possess the jewel, then it's trouble."

Kohaku nodded and looked at her in understanding. "Hmm."

-

Thunder could be heard in the dead of night as the demon slayers are gathered in front of the group of humans they wish to aid.

"You have done us well to come to our aid, slayers. We have been plagued with nightly visits from a giant spider... which has devoured several of our people. Can you put a stop to it?"

The demon slayers are on their knees in respect in front of the Lord. Sango and Kohaku's father bowed his head slightly as he responded. "Fear not, sir." He looked back up to the man. "I have brought along my best people to serve you."

The creepy old man looked upon the group, noticing the youth behind the man who had spoke. "Oh? Perhaps they are skilled, but I see you have brought along a girl and even a young child."

Kohaku was shaking in his nervousness while Sango kept her confidence in check. Their father responded without sounding upset at the man's bigoted words. "Yes, my Lord. They are my son and daughter, and the finest slayers in my village. Witness their skills for yourself, if you would."

Sango glanced over to her brother and spoke encouragingly to him. "Hear that, Kohaku? Now, do your best."

Kohaku continued to look down as he was shaking nervously. "Mm-hmm." He looks up into the sky. "Huh?"

"My Lord, it approaches." A man spoke.

"Go forth, demon slayers." The Lord responded.

Sango and Kohaku's father said, "Aye. Move out."

Everyone did as he said and dispersed throughout the area, getting into position to slay the demon.

There was loud roaring from above as a giant spider demon came down from the dark and clouded sky. It landed on the ground and reared up to show it's mighty size as the slayers looked up at it. It shot silk out towards the humans as they sliced through it to attack.

Sango ran forward as Kohaku's ankle was wrapped by a bunch of silk and pulled into the air. He was quickly saved and continued with his first ever slaying job.

As the large spider's legs were taken out and it fell to the ground, Sango attacked. "Coming in!" Her Hirakotsu sliced along the demon's head and back, blood spewing from its wounds. She caught her large boomerang as it came back to her and stayed in a battle ready stance.

She heard her brothers awed voice. "Sango is incredible!"

Kohaku was running towards the demon to help finish it off when he suddenly slowed to a walk and stopped.

The man chopping at the demon's horn on its head spoke up. "For a demon so large, it was easy bringing it down."

Sango responded from behind him. "It was too easy. There's something about this spider that rings false." She suddenly heard something out of the ordinary. "Huh?" Her eyes widened when she saw two of her men torn in half by none other than her brother's weapon. The men fell to the ground, blood going everywhere. She began to shake as a gasp left her mask covered lips when the next person to fall was her father, killed by her own brother. She turned around to see her brother with his face down, eyes covered by his bangs, and holding his blood covered weapon above his head. "Huh?"

Kohaku lowered his kusarigama to his side as Sango looked around at the slaughter of her fellow comrades and father. "Why?... Kohaku, why did you slay father and the others?"

Kohaku's blank and emotionless eyes raised to look into her confused ones. Without a word, he ran towards her to attack.

Sango jumped backwards, holding a hand out protectively in front of her. "No, don't, Kohaku!"

He ignored her plea as he threw the chained weapon towards her, slicing her demon mask straight off of her face. Her eyes widened as he caught his weapon and held it up once again.

She fell to her knees, looking at her younger brother who is clearly not himself. "Have you forgotten who I am?"

Kohaku didn't respond as he spun his weapon above his head before attacking once more.

Sango jumped up and unsheathed her wakizashi, blocking the attack and throwing his weapon away from her.

Kohaku continued to run towards her, unsheathing his own katana and not missing a beat with attacking her with that as well. Sango blocked his blade with hers as she spoke up once again.

"Why do you do this, Kohaku?"

They pushed blades against each other, both grunting from the exertion. Sango's eyes widened once again as she saw what looked like a string attached to the back of her younger brother's neck.

'A web. A spider web.' She followed the web with her eyes as she held her brother off. Then she saw who controlled the web. "He's the one." She grunted as she pushed her brother away and dove towards her Hirakotsu, picking it up and running at her new enemy. "You did this to him!" Her eyes narrowed as she held her large boomerang above her head. "You're finished!"

She heard the men being ordered to finish her and her brother off, but she was determined not to let them. She whacked them away with her Hirakotsu as she continued on to her target. She got closer and closer, but then felt a sharp pain within her back. Her brother managed to strike her with his kusarigama.

She turned her head to see Kohaku wobble on his feet before dropping the chain to his weapon and falling to his knees. He was shaking as he stared at his hands in utter disbelief. His eyes were watering as he removed his slayer mask and looked up at his sister.

"Sango, what have I done?"

Sango was on her hands and knees by this point, unable to move much do to the blade by her spine. She saw her brother jump up and run towards her yelling, "No! Sango!" Then he was struck down by many arrows. Sango gasped as she watched her brother fall to his death right before her eyes.

She managed to crawl up to his unmoving body. "Kohaku..."

Kohaku has blood trickling out of his open mouth, frightened eyes opened, crying, and watching her. "Help me, Sango. I'm so afraid."

Sango rested her face against his as she tried to speak to him calmly, hoping to make him feel just a little better in his end. "Do not worry. I am right here wi-AAH!" She was cut off by the arrows hitting her back, making her collapse onto her dying brother's broken body. She groaned as everything went black.

°•°•°

Inuyasha was still sitting next to his shivering and sweating mate, grasping his Tetsusaiga with one hand to keep himself from transforming, as he spoke softly to Kagome, hoping to get her out of whatever nightmare she is currently stuck inside of.

"Come on, please Kagome. I can't... I need you..." His tears are falling down his face and onto hers as he held her hand, twiddling idly with her ring that is a small symbol of his love for her.

Shippo wiped Sango's forehead off with a wet rag before crawling over to Miroku. His face was scrunched up in pain as his body was shivering uncontrollably. The kitsune looked down at him sadly, hoping he would wake up soon to help the women get better too.

"Miroku... we need you..." Another tear fell from his shining green eyes as he began to help wipe the sweat from the monk's brow.

°•°•°

A very young Miroku was running towards where he knew his father was about to die. The curse of the Kazaana has come to end his father's life and bestow upon him as well. He was just a child, but a child who understood the circumstances well.

He raced towards him, knowing he couldn't do anything to save the older man, but not wanting to sit there and do nothing. He was panting from the exertion as he continuously yelled out for his father. Before he could get too close however, he felt the strong arms of his Master around his small body.

"Let me go, Mushin!" He grunted and struggled in the old man's grasp, wanting to be with his father in his time of need.

"You will be pulled into your father's wind tunnel too, if you go." The old priest responded as he held the child back.

Miroku grunted and had tears in his widened indigo eyes, as he held his arm out in front of him and towards the unfolding scene. The wind tunnel has spread and his father was sucked inside of it right before his eyes, leaving a large crater behind.

"Father! No!"

-

An adult Miroku was walking towards Kaede's village when he heard the sound of wind coming from his right hand. His eyes widened as he dropped his Shakujō to the ground and looked at his beaded covered hand.

Suddenly he heard the gentle laughter of his friends and the footsteps indicating their close arrival. He began to panic as he saw them get closer and closer. He backed up a step and yelled out towards them.

"No! Don't come any closer!"

Sango and Kagome stopped their chatter to look at him in confusion. They didn't stop walking though as they wanted to make sure he was alright. Little Shippo jumped off of Kagome's shoulder to run up to him and looked at him curiously.

"What's wrong Miroku?"

Miroku was sweating as he tried to hold his hand shut, shaking his head profusely when the girls stood right in front of him.

"No! G-Get away!" He backed a few steps away from them, but they didn't head his words.

"Miroku?" Kagome looked at him worriedly. "Let me help."

He was in a full panic now as the sound of wind got stronger and stronger. His beloved Sango put a hand over his and smiled warmly at him.

"It's okay, Miroku. I'm here for you, until the very end."

"Sango, no!"

His wind tunnel began to spread. The wind becoming an unbearable weight within the palm of his hand. Suddenly the beads were broken off and the wind began to devoure all of his friends before slowly taking him, as well.

"Shippo! Kagome! Sangoooo! No!"

He closed his eyes, waiting for death to take him just as it had taken his grandfather and father the same way.

°•°•°

Shippo and Inuyasha were left alone in the hut with their fallen friends. Kaede had taken Rin to go collect some herbs for the humans fevers, hoping they can at least make them as comfortable as possible.

Inuyasha had pulled Kagome into his lap and wrapped his arms around her bloody and sweaty form. He has never felt so hopeless before in his life. He doesn't know what he can do to help, but he will continue to talk to her, to try and reach her. He is hoping that she can hear him through the small bond they have created with his temporary mark and the ring on her finger, but as the hours pass them by, he begins to lose hope.

He can hear the fast beating of her heart and he can smell the stench of her fear permeating the air. He knows she is trapped in a nightmare with no way out. He heard what Sango had said about being scared to death, but his mate is stronger than that. He believes that if anyone can escape this Shi no Yume Fly's poison, it can be her.

He strokes her hair as he let his mate rumble out against her back. "I know you can beat this, Kagome. Just come back to me, koi. Please."

Shippo finished helping Miroku and Sango, and came back to sit in front of Kagome and Inuyasha. He sniffled a few times as he saw the hanyou not even trying to hide his tears or keep his voice from being undetected. He put a tiny hand on Kagome's arm and watched silently, hoping Inuyasha is right and he can wake her up.

°•°•°

"Please... No..."

Kagome was able to move a little more than before, lifting her arms and covering her exposed breasts. Naraku laughed as he leaned over her and whispered huskily against her ear.

"Do you want me to tell you what's going to happen, my sweet sweet Miko?"

Kagome closed her eyes tight, forcing back her tears as she thought of all the things this man is most likely planning. She shook her head slowly, trying to block him out, but his voice was so close. His disgusting hot breath against the side of her face. She turned away as best she could, but his hand came up and held her steady by her chin once again.

"Kukuku.. First I'm going to give you something that will make your body want me, even though your mind will not." He grinned at the terrified shiver that ran throughout her body. "Then, I'm going to saver every last second I have tasting, touching, fucking your every last unused hole." Kagome couldn't hold back the small sob that broke free. "Once I take your innocence, I'm going to make sure you never see Inuyasha again." At that, Kagome's eyes snapped open and she stared into his. His smile only widened. "Let me rephrase. You will see him, but he won't see you. What will be left of this pure little Miko, will be filled with hatred, bitterness, malice. You will be broken. You will be tainted and unwanted. Used goods. But you will me mine. You will obey my every command. You will want me. Crave me. Desire me. And you will kill the half-breed in the end."

Kagome's face is streaked with her tears now as her body started to shake from not only fear for herself, but for her beloved hanyou. She may not have her powers at the moment, but she is still Kagome. She will never do those things! She used all the strength she could conjure up and shoved him away from her face.

"No!" She shook her head side to side as she curled up into the fetal position, her body finally free of it's paralysis. "Inuyasha will come for me. You can't break me, Naraku." She rose her watery gaze to his and only became more enraged at the look of amusement in his red eyes. "I believe in him. I know he won't stop until he finds me, and as soon as he does, you will DIE!"

Her blood ran cold when the only reaction she received was a loud and vicious guffaw.

Her fear ran deep when she watched him start to disrobe. 'Kami... please no...'

"Oh, my little Miko. It's amusing that you think he still cares." Now topless next to the bed, he moves a stray hair from her face to behind her ear. "That half demon doesn't care about you. What did he do the last time you were captured by us? Akago had nearly won because your beloved hanyou ran off to the woman he truly loves. What's to say he isn't doing that now? The immature, clumsy, weak version of the one he actually cares about is finally gone. He finally has the ability to be with the one he really wants." She saw the sinister smile upon his disgusting face.

"You're wrong.." Kagome's voice was so quiet, he barely caught it. She knew he was only trying to hurt her. No matter what she thinks about the situation, she won't allow Naraku to make it that much worse. "Inuyasha may love Kikyo... but he would never leave me to this fate. He will do everything he can to find me." She sniffled as she looked back into his eyes, now noticing that he is dropping the bottom half of his clothes. She gulped, but continued. "I trust him. You can't break our trust like you did with him and Kikyo. I am Kagome. Ka-go-me. Stop comparing me to Kikyo!"

Naraku, now fully undressed, pushed Kagome onto her back by her shoulders. She reluctantly obeyed, figuring that the more she fights, the worse it will be for her. He climbed on top of her, his throbbing erection sliding along her dry core. Her fear is raising as each second passes by. He took both of her wrists into his left hand, pinning them above her head. His right hand grasped her throat as he lowered his face to be only centimeters from hers.

"I am not the one comparing you to that bitch, Ka-go-me." Her eyes widened and he smirked. "I want you. Onigumo wanted Kikyo. But me, Naraku, has a new and better obsession." He looked down at her lips and then up to her fear filled brown eyes. "You are beautiful."

Then he slammed his lips onto hers.

Kagome tried to scream, she tried to pull her hands away, she tried to tap into her power, but nothing she did worked.

'Inuyasha will never want me after this...'

She sobbed into his mouth as her tears continued to fall. She stopped her struggling and forced herself to go completely still.

Naraku pulled from her lips and smiled down at her. "Giving up already are you? What would Inuyasha think? That you so readily gave yourself to his sworn enemy. Whore, tainted, defiled, used.. All the words that everyone will call you. No one will want you. No one but me will ever have you."

Kagome's eyes shut fully and she cried silently to herself. "Please... Not this... Please..."

Naraku let go of her wrists, giving Kagome just a little bit of hope. While she looked up at him, she saw him reach over to the side of the bed and grab something off of a table. She looked at his hand as he brought it in front of her face and noticed it was some sort of liquid.

"Now, my little Miko. Open up."

She tightened her lips together and shook her head side to side. Naraku sighed and shrugged his shoulders.

"The hard way then."

He pinched her nose, causing her face to turn red from holding in her breath, which only seemed to excite him further. He thrust up against her, making her even more terrified.

Finally, unable to hold her breath any longer, she gasped. Immediately the small vial of liquid was poured into her mouth. She did the only thing she could think of and turned her head to spit it out, coughing as she did so. She glared up at the dark hanyou, but he only smiled.

"Kukuku. It doesn't matter if you swallow it or not. It has touched your tongue, so it will effect you the same."

Kagome's blood ran cold as she started to feel weaker and weaker. "Wh-what is it gonna do to me?" she weakly asked as she could already start feeling the effects it's having on her body.

She watched as he made a show of taking a deep breath in, obviously to scent her. "I think you have already figured that out. tsk tsk. Can you imagine what Inuyasha would think, knowing you are aroused by the likes of me?"

Kagome raised her shaky hands to her face and cried harder. "No... I don't want you... I'll never want you."

Naraku rubbed his erection against her now moistening core and his smile widened. "Your mind may not... yet... but your body sure does."

Kagome uncovered her eyes to glare into his. "If you hadn't used whatever the hell drug that was, my body would never want you! You disgusting pig!"

Kagome gasped as his hand connected with her cheek in a brutal smack. She closed her eyes once again and allowed her tears to silently fall. She kept her face turned away from him as he began to touch her in ways no one else has.

'Inuyasha... I'm so so sorry.'

Naraku grabbed her breasts roughly, elicitating a pained whimper from her. "You will soon learn your place, bitch."

She shook her head, but she began to believe him. He is already taking control of her body, how long will it be before he takes a hold of her mind?

"No..."

"Are you ready to become impure, my little Miko?"

She looked back at him for one last effort to get him to stop. Even though she knows it's completely useless, she doesn't want Inuyasha to believe she wanted this for even a second.

"No... Please don't..."

"I love it when you beg me to stop. It will only taint the jewel further."

Then, without warning, he thrust his hardened erection fully into her virgin heat. Kagome screamed at the immediate pain it caused, only making the evil bastard hornier. He grasped her by the throat with his right hand, choking her enough to restrict her air flow, but not enough to have her pass out.

He didn't give her any time to adjust to his size as he brutally fucked her hard and fast. He used his left hand to squeeze her breast with extreme force, causing her to bleed as the ends of his claws tear into her flesh. The scent of her blood is only turning him on more.

'I can't... stop it... Inu... forgive me...'

As the drug began to fully effect her, her body began to respond to the brutal rape. She started to get wetter and wetter as his cock slipped in and out of her faster and faster. Her arousal spiked, but her mind remained clear of what is truly happening to her. To her absolute horror, she began to buck her hips into him.

"No!" She gasped for breath when he released her throat to make sure she doesn't pass out. 'What's happening to me!?'

Naraku groaned as he slammed his lips back onto hers. Her body is in his complete control now.

She wraps her legs around his waist, getting him deeper and harder and causing her to moan into his mouth. More tears flowing down her face.

'Please Kami... I don't want this!'

Yet her body is fully responding to his thrusts and his lips and his tongue. The drug is causing her body to respond in ways she never would have before. She wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him closer to her lips as he fucked her harder and harder.

As they writhed together, tears flowing down her face, Naraku sped up to a speed only a demon could reach. He pulled back from her lips to stare into her frightened eyes.

"Cum for me, koi. Cum around my cock as I fill you with my seed."

Fear. Hatred. Disgust. Fear... She knows she can't stop it. She's going to orgasm from this rape... She's going to feel ultimate pleasure as her mind is screaming for it to just end.

"No..."

Her words are weak compared to the true gravity of the situation. Naraku only grinned evily as he began to feel the tightening of her walls.

"Yes, Miko. You will." He groaned as his own orgasm got closer and closer. He thrust as deep as he possibly could, causing her walls to ripple around his cock and Kagome to scream in ecstasy. "That's it, Kagome. Feel the pleasure only I can give you."

"No!" But she couldn't stop her body from giving in to the pleasure. She bucked wildly against him as her orgasm flowed throughout her entire body.

"Good girl. Now take my seed." He sped up faster and faster until he finally emptied himself into her womb.

Kagome collapsed onto the bed, her arms and legs falling from around his body. She sobbed harder then she could ever remember before. Her virginity is no more. She is used and damaged and no longer pure. Her body wanted it. That small voice in her head is telling her it was the drug, not her... but she can't seem to listen to it.

She barely registered when Naraku pulled out and stood up off of the bed. Her mind going blank. She just doesn't want to feel anymore. Doesn't want to think about... about anything...

After a few minutes of complete silence, she realized she had control of her body once again.

'Not that it matters anymore...'

She wrapped her arms around her bloody chest as a way to conceal herself, even if only a little bit. Then she looked around and noticed her capture was no longer in the room with her. She sighed. She's finally away from that bastard.

For now...

Kagome curled up in the fetal position and covered her face in her hands, smearing blood all over. But she can't make herself care.

'I'm so weak... I couldn't stop him... Inuyasha... I don't think I can ever face you again...'

°•°•°

Kagura was almost back to the castle where she will have to see that bastard once again. She had picked up Kohaku from deep within the forest of Inuyasha after she made her escape and headed out. The boy has been quiet, which isn't unusual for him, but the haunted look in his eyes is a bit new.

She mentally shook her mind free of those useless thoughts as another image came unbidden into her head. The look of an enraged Inu about to lose his mate forever. She hates that she began to respect the Inuhanyou, but more than that... she actually started to like him. She respected his ability to stand up for his friends, but to see how distraught he looked when Kagome had fallen, bloody and bruised... she couldn't stand that she had to say those horrifying words to him in his darkest moment.

'At least that damn bug is dead...'

She sighed as she neared Naraku's castle. Now she must see what the hell she is supposed to do next.

She landed down on the ground outside of the main entrance and told Kohaku to go back to his quarters. The eleven year old boy only nodded as he went to where he resides. Kagura put her shrunken feather back into her hair as she entered the castle and went towards where Naraku spends most of his time.

When she entered the room, she didn't speak. She knows Naraku will start up conversation.

As if reading her thoughts, he turned around and spoke. "I was watching Kagura. You did as told, so your reward is to live another day." He chuckled at the look of pure hatred in his incarnations eyes. "Why so angry? Don't tell me you actually care for that mutt, do you?"

Kagura forced herself to say calm as she spoke to him. "Of course not."

Naraku nodded as he reached into his clothes and pulled a small vial out, filled with a green liquid. He held it out in front of him as he continued to speak. "This is the antidote to the Fly's venom. He was so kind as to give it to me before he left the world of the living."

Kagura mentally rolled her eyes, but her focus was on the small vial of liquid. If she could just...

She was pulled from her thoughts by a sharp pain in her chest. She fell to her knees as she grasped the spot where her heart should be, and looked up into the murderous eyes of the evil spider hanyou.

"Tsk tsk, Kagura. Were you thinking of defying me?" He let go of the heart in his hand, causing her to breathe deeply in reprieve.

Kagura stepped back up with her hand to her chest and glared at him, but didn't speak.

Naraku threw the vial towards her, having her eyes widen right before she caught it and looked at it carefully. "I expect you to follow my orders. You will take this to the human village tomorrow. Give Inuyasha a night to see his precious Miko and friends get closer and closer towards death. Show him the antidote and tell him that I will kindly wake Kagome up, only if he agrees to turn her over to me. Do not allow him to best you, Kagura. I will be watching."

Kagura put the vial into the front of her kimono and nodded her head as she left. She could hear Naraku's evil laughter echoing off the walls of the castle as she walked further and further away from him. Her hands clenched at her sides, unable to think of a way out of this.

She knows that by this time tomorrow, Kagome will be in Naraku's grasp once again.

Sango walked into a village and looked around at the horrific scene before her. Her brother is in the center of a massacre, his weapon spinning above his lowered head, his bangs covering his eyes. There are men, women, children, animals, all dead or dying, scattered all around this one small boy.

She had tears in her eyes as she saw the blood, the crying infants, the dead parents and grandparents. The pain filled screams and groaning of animals and people. Even some friendly demons that had taken residency here have been slain.

Kohaku lifted his head to lock eyes with her. "Do you see, ane-ue? I slaughtered them all. Don't you think I did well?" His eyes were blank, but his voice sounded genuinely excited.

Sango lifted her hands to her mouth to try and hold in her nausea. Tears began to flow down her face as she heard her deranged brother begin to laugh. She turned to her left as Kagome stepped up beside her, then looked to her right as Miroku did the same. Kirara landed in front of her with Shippo on her back.

Sango looked back at her brother with rage in her eyes. His laughing abruptly stopped when he noticed her friends surrounding her. Before she could react, his weapon sliced Kagome's head clean off. Sango screamed in horror as she turned and threw up immediately. When she turned back around, Miroku was laying there dead. Tears flowing down her face as she saw both Kirara and Shippo unmoving with puddles of blood beneath their broken bodies.

She fell to her knees as her brother walked up to her, crimson liquid dripping from his blade, and a smile of pure joy on his youthful face. "Look, ane-ue. Are you proud of me?"

Sango jumped forward and immediately pinned him to the ground with her wakizashi placrd against his neck. He looked up at her with surprise and fear as she hovered above him. "It's not your fault, Kohaku. It... It will be over soon. I'll... I'll kill you, and then myself. Everything will be okay, I promise."

Kohaku looked up at her with tears in his now emotion filled eyes. "Why? Why would you do this to me, Sango?"

Her eyes became blurry as her tears dribbled down her face and landed onto his. She looked around at her fallen friends, before closing her eyes tight and slicing his throat in one fluid motion. When she opened her eyes back up, her brother was dead. Everyone she had ever cared about, except one, was dead.

She stood up, only to be face to face with Inuyasha, the last person to still be alive. She lifted her sword up to her own throat, but his voice stopped her from making her next move.

"Don't do it, Sango. Stay alive."

She shook her head as her blade began to dig into herself, small amounts of blood dripping down her neck. "I'm so afraid, Inuyasha. I don't want to live like this anymore."

Inuyasha stepped closer to her. "We need you. Everyone needs you to wake up."

Her hold on her sword began to weaken. "Wake up?"

He nodded his head. "You're stuck Sango. This ain't real. Look around."

She did as she was told. The battleground was free of all the death and blood she had witnessed, and her friends are alive and well. She dropped her weapon to the ground as she looked back into Inuyasha's eyes.

"I'm still scared. I don't know what I am meant to do. What do I do?"

"Wake up. I need you to help me with Kagome. Miroku is gettin' worse too. We need you, Sango."

Sango dropped to her knees as her tears fell more and more. She closed her eyes as she began to fight something she didn't even know was there. Inuyasha's voice was there once again, as if he was whispering directly into her ear.

"You have to stop bein' afraid. Fear is what will kill you, Sango. Stop the fear... wake up."

°•°•°

Inuyasha held Kagome in his lap as he spoke directly to Sango. He figured if one of them could know how to beat this and help the others, it would be her. She has the knowledge and strength to do it. Not that the others are weak, but she studied these demons. She'll know how to counteract the deep fear she is being forced to dream of.

"Sango. You need to wake up. Please. It ain't real. None of it is real."

He began to hear her heart rate slow and the scent of her fear started to diminish, but only slightly.

"We need you. Kagome needs you. Miroku needs you. I can't wake them up, please Sango. Wake up!"

Both he and Shippo gasped when Sango's eyes fluttered open. Sango shivered as she looked around the small hut. Her eyes widened when they landed on Miroku right beside her. He was in a puddle of sweat and shivering from his fever.

"M-Miroku..." Her voice was hoarse as she spoke. She could barely move her arms to be able to reach him. She was pulled from her thoughts when Shippo walked in front of her face to hand her some water.

Sango sat up slowly with the help of Inuyasha, and then leaned up against the wall behind her. She winced as she noticed her left arm was bandaged up from a pretty painful wound. She slowly drank some of the water, and then the memories of what had happened before came back to her. She locked eyes with Inuyasha and noticed the young girl passed out and shaking in his arms.

"The Shi no Yume..." Sango whispered.

Inuyasha nodded as he held a cold rag to his mate's forehead. Sango's eyes widened once more.

"I'm... How did I wake up from such an attack?"

Shippo climbed into her lap along with a small Kirara and looked up at her worriedly. "Inuyasha has been speaking to each of you, but you were the one to respond the most. He kept talkin' more and more until you woke up."

Sango looked at the hanyou who didn't even seem embarrassed for doing such a thing. He only looked sad, like a beaten puppy. His ears are drooped, he has tear stains on his cheeks, he is holding Kagome to his chest as if his very life depended on it. She looked down at Kagome's pain filled face and had more tears come to her eyes.

"You can't get through to either of them?"

He shook his head before speaking. "Do ya have any idea why you would have been different? What did ya dream about?"

Sango stroked Kirara behind the ear as she spoke quietly. "K-Kohaku... First, I was reliving what had happened when he killed father and the others. Then... then it was all new. Things like him slaughtering villages and laughing about it. He killed Kagome, Miroku, Shippo and Kirara, and even acted like I would be proud of him." She shook her head and locked her eyes back with Inuyasha's. "Even if Naraku would tell him to do something like that... the look in his eyes and his voice... It was so... him... He wasn't being controlled. Something like that never would have happened."

Inuyasha nodded his head as he tried to think of what could be helpful information. Then Shippo spoke up. "What if the more real the dream, the harder it is to wake up? The poison makes you think of your worst nightmares, but if you know something can't be likely..."

Inuyasha's ears perked up as Sango's eyes widened. "Shippo, you're a genius!"

Shippo blushed as he puffed up his chest in pride. Inuyasha looked down at Kagome and then over at Miroku. "Keh. How is that gonna help us wake them up? We don't know what the hell they are dreamin' of, and I can't get through to 'em!"

Sango's hope got shattered just a tiny bit, because what he said is true. If they are dreaming of scenarios that are perfectly possible, then it will be almost impossible to wake them up. She sighed as she continued to drink her water and think of a solution.

After a while, they decided that they will have to try in the morning. It is getting late and there is nothing more they can do. Kaede came back in to force some liquid medicine into Miroku and Kagome's mouths to keep their fevers down, while she handed Sango one of her own.

After Sango finished her medicine, she layed down next to her shivering fiancé to get some much needed rest, while Inuyasha stayed sitting up against the wall with Kagome in his arms.

Inuyasha watched as Shippo curled up with his small stuffed fox and he sighed. He looked back down at the girl in his arms and continued to speak to her. He doesn't know if there is anything he can do, but he will try as much as he can to get through to her.

Kagome woke with a start from yet another nightmare about her first rape. She looked around the empty hut, wondering where her friends and mate were. She decided to go outside and see for herself, but as soon as she did, she regretted it.

Her eyes widened as she saw her friends all scattered around bathing in their own blood. The only one still alive is her mate, but he is being retrained by Naraku's tentacles.

"Inu..."

Inuyasha's eyes locked with hers, but he couldn't speak because a tentacle was closed around his mouth.

Kagome gasped when the hands of her rapist wrapped around her throat from behind. She closed her eyes as she heard his malevolent chuckle and felt his hot breath against her ear.

"Kukuku. Hello, my impure little whore. Are you ready for me?"

She shook her head. "No!" She tried to release her reiki, but realized it was once again taken from her. She let out a small sob as she was thrown to the ground and mounted from behind. "Stop!" She looked up to see Inuyasha's eyes bleeding red as he is struggling within his bonds.

Naraku ripped her clothes off in one swift motion and lowered the bottoms just below his hips. Kagome was already crying as her fear was stronger now then the first time this happened. She tried to get away, but he grabbed her by the waist and pulled her up onto her hands and knees in front of him. He held her firmly as he probed her opening with the tip of his erection.

Kagome looked away from her mate, not wanting to see him when he witnesses this heinous act. "Please... Please just don't make him watch..."

Naraku laughed as he rubbed himself against her. "Kukuku. Why not, my love? Maybe he will regret not taking you up on your offer." He ended his sentence by thrusting himself deep inside of her.

Kagome screamed at the pain, not having been prepared or aroused at all. Her eyes are shut tight as tears are streaming down her face. He is thrusting in and out of her and laughing while doing it. She can hear her mate's growls and snarles, knowing he is fully transformed, but unable to escape or look away.

"I'm sorry... I'm so so sorry..." she sobbed as her attacker continued to use her once again.

The following morning, Inuyasha growled as he scented the return of Kagura. He layed Kagome down and told Sango to protect them while he goes outside.

When he left the hut, he saw her standing right in front of him. He unsheathed his sword and pointed it right at her. "What the fuck do you want!?"

Kagura tried not to allow her emotions to run wild. She can see how badly Inuyasha is doing right now. His silver hair is standing in all different directions. His eyes are blood shot, not even from his inner demon, but from crying and not sleeping. He is growling continuously, but he just looks tired and warn out.

"I have come to tell you, I have the cure to the poison that has plagued your friends."

Inuyasha's growling stopped abruptly as he stared at her wide eyed. Then he shook his head and began his continuous growl once again. "There ain't no cure!"

Kagura pulled the vial of green liquid out from her kimono and held it up. "The Shi no Yume gave it to Naraku before coming here yesterday."

Inuyasha snarled at her. "And I don't think you're just gonna hand it over, are ya!?"

She looked at him apologetically for a moment before steeling herself and placing the vial back into her robes. "Naraku has said that if you give Kagome to us, he will administer the antidote."

Inuyasha let out an unamused laugh. "And you expect me to do that!? She's my mate! I know exactly what that bastard is planning when she wakes up! I ain't gonna let that happen again!"

"Would you rather her dead or alive? Because if you don't give her to us, than she is as good as dead." Kagura hated herself more than ever before in this moment.

Inuyasha's eyes closed tight as a memory came to him, unbidden.

When he had heard Kagome yell, he ran upstairs and then as soon as he was about to knock, he smelled her blood. He kicked the door down immediately.

He rushed forward and smacked the razer out of Kagome's hand, not caring where it went. He sighed in relief when he noticed she only cut herself slightly before he got to her, but she is still bleeding a fair amount.

"Kagome! You fucking idiot!"

Neither of them cared about her state of undress. Inuyasha lifted her up under her knees and behind her back before he ran her to her bedroom.

Inuyasha sat Kagome on the edge of the bed and wrapped her naked body up in a blanket to keep her modestly in tact. He turned her head to the side to check the wound and winced at how much she was bleeding. If he was only a few seconds later...

He shook his head of those thoughts and looked her in the eyes. "Why?"

Kagome looked at him, but there was no emotion in her usually bright eyes. She chuckled darkly and shook her head.

"What's the point? I can't forget. I can't stop the memories. I can't make it go away. I'm just a fucking used and dirty good for nothing whore. Kikyo made the biggest mistake she could have by saving my life and sacrificing hers."

Inuyasha's eyes snapped open as his growl increased and his hands tightened around his sword. "Kagome would rather die than live through what that bastard has planned!" He knows he can't attack her or the antidote will most likely be destroyed. 'Damn it all... Kagome, what do I do?'

Sango came outside in that moment and looked at the hanyou sadly. "Inuyasha..."

His blood shot eyes snapped back to hers. "What!?"

Sango sighed. "Kagome did say that she would do it all again if it meant becoming your wife..."

Inuyasha closed his tear filled eyes once more. He remembered hearing Kagome tell Sango that when the girls were bathing together.

"So... I see you and Inuyasha are getting a lot closer. We haven't been able to talk just the two of us in awhile. How does it feel to be getting married?"

"Sometimes I still can't believe it but... you know, I would go through everything I have over again if it meant meeting Inuyasha and becoming his wife."

Inuyasha looked back at Kagura as a tear slid down his face. Without turning around, he told Sango to go get Kagome. He heard her go back into the hut and shuffe around. He reluctantly retheathed his sword before narrowing his eyes at Naraku's incarnation.

"I need to know it will work. Use it on Miroku first." He knows there is no way in hell he can get her to use it on Kagome, but if he can save Miroku in the process, he will have to take the opportunity to do so.

Kagura watched as Sango carried Kagome out of the hut and handed her to Inuyasha. "I was not told to do that." She turned to her left as a Saimyōshō buzzed up next to her. She sighed as she looked back at the two in front of her. "Fine. But you have to bring him to me, so I know you won't try and take the antidote."

Inuyasha growled as he handed Kagome back to Sango and went into the hut. He came back out a moment later and layed Miroku down on the ground at Kagura's feet. He stepped away and turned as Sango handed Kagome back to him. He held his beautiful mate close to his chest and rocked her in his arms. He nearly threw up at the spike of fear in her scent. Whatever she is dreaming about must be really bad.

Kagura pulled the vial from her clothes once again and crouched down in front of the monk. She pulled his jaw open and dribbled about a teaspoon of the green liquid into his mouth, before standing up and stepping back.

Shippo had gone against his orders to stay in the hut and stepped outside just in time to see Miroku cough and his indigo eyes open up slowly. Shippo's own eyes widened as he ran to the monk and stared down at his confused face.

Sango smiled sadly, happy that her fiancé is okay, but sad that her sister will be in the hands of Naraku once again. She stepped up to Inuyasha and stroked Kagome's hair. She leaned forward and kissed her on the top of the head before whispering into her ear.

"I don't know if you can hear me, imouto... but know that I love you and we will be coming for you. Whatever you do, don't give up. We won't be mad at you no matter what happens." She stepped back as tears fell from her eyes, before walking over and crouching down in front of Miroku. She cupped his cheek and smiled down at him as a sob escaped her throat.

Miroku lifted a shaky hand to hold hers against his face and smiled up at her. "What is the matter, Sango?" His voice was hoarse just as hers had been, and his throat hurts like hell. Before she could respond, he saw movement behind him and his eyes widened. "Inuyasha!" It came out as just above a whisper, but the hanyou clearly heard him since his ears had flattened to his head in response.

Shippo looked in the same direction Miroku was staring wide-eyed and nearly lost it. He jumped up and ran to the hanyou, jumping onto his shoulder. "Don't do it, baka! What the hell are you thinking!?"

Inuyasha was standing directly in front of Kagura's feather, about to lay his mate down onto it. His ears are flat and tears are falling down his face. "I ain't got a choice Shippo. Her dreams are goin' to kill her if I don't do this..."

"No! Naraku will kill her!"

Inuyasha leaned forward and kissed Kagome on the cheek, before looking at Shippo. "If there is one thing I know for sure, it's that Naraku wants Kagome alive... he ain't gonna kill her..." He faced Kagura who was already on her feather and glared at her. He layed Kagome down onto the feather behind the older woman, but leaned in to murmur into her ear. "I'm comin' for you, koibito. Stay alive for me. Try not to forget who you are. You are Kagome. My mate and future wife. I love you..." A broken sob escaped as he kissed her once on the lips and backed away. "I love you..." It barely came out as a whisper.

Kagura hated this. She hated to watch everyone become so broken... but she doesn't have much of a choice. She takes a deep breath in as she raises up into the sky and takes off towards the castle.

Miroku had managed to sit up and watch the scene unfold as Sango hugged him and cried into his chest. Shippo is wailing his own sadness against Inuyasha's shoulder as the hanyou yelled for Kirara and screamed to the old Miko that they won't be back for a while.

Kirara transformed and Inuyasha's crazed eyes looked at his human companions. "We are leaving now. I ain't gonna let that bastard touch her again. He's gonna wake her up and then we are takin' her back." He rushed inside and grabbed Kagome's yellow bag before going back to where Miroku and Sango were already atop of Kirara. "Go! I can run just as fast if not faster than her."

Kirara roared her agreement as she took to the sky to follow the wind sorceress. Inuyasha growled before flinging the bag onto his back and running at top speed, Shippo clinging on as hard as he can.

'I won't let that bastard touch her ever again. This time, Naraku. You are dead.'

A/N: I am so sorry for this angst! But I hope you are enjoying it anyway! I honestly wasn't planning on having her go back to Naraku... Even when I first came up with this story, she wasn't gonna be taken again... but this is what my mind decided to come up with.

I hope you aren't too mad at me!

Thanks again for reading, please leave an honest review to let me know what you think!
