Disclaimer: I do not own Inuyasha or any of the supporting characters.

I hope I do this justice, I have mentioned before how I am not used to writing big battle scenes, so please let me know how I did!

Which is why it took me two days to write instead of one. I tried really hard, so I'm sorry if it's not satisfactory!

Thanks for reading. 😄

Broken

Chapter 21

A sinister smile broke out on the large spider's face. "Come. I will destroy you all."

Inuyasha growled as he looked to his left and grabbed Kagome's free hand. "Are you alright?"

Kagome refused to look into his eyes, keeping her grip on her bow and staring down the bastard who is going to die today. "I'm fine."

She's not fine.

But what else could she say? She can't very much say, 'No. He touched me and almost raped me again. I feel like a fucking weak little slut...'

No. She needs to keep her head on straight and focus on the battle at hand. Her powers are slowly returning, along with her physical strength. Her stomach wound is making it a little hard to breathe, but that's minimal compared to the wounds that have reopened within her heart and mind.

Inuyasha knows she is lying. Not only can he smell it clear as day, but he can feel it through the bond they have begun to create. But he will let it go for now. Once Naraku is dead and gone, he will make sure she knows he will always be there for her.

No matter what.

He nodded his head, gave her hand a single squeeze before pulling away and unsheathing his Tetsusaiga. "I love you." He needed to tell her now, to make sure she hasn't forgotten.

Kagome pulled an arrow out of her quiver and notched it. She has tears in her eyes, and nearly let more fall at his sweet words of love. She knows he loves her and would never stop, but she hates how weak she was back there. How she nearly let that man rape her once again. How she allowed him to put his filthy hands on her. How he kissed her and the way he spoke to her...

She thought she was doing well to stand up to him when he had her tied to the bed. She was terrified inside, but on the outside she was speaking calmly, and even able to upset him. She got under his skin and she was able to utilize her ring without ever having practiced, giving her the ability to run before he could hurt her futher.

But in her adrenaline clouded mind, she didn't think about what would happen once he caught up to her.

Because that was inevitable, wasn't it?

There was no way an injured fifteen year old girl, with no powers or strength, could outrun a man, let alone a strong spider hanyou.

All she did was anger the bastard and make it to where he could violate her in front of her mate and friends.

Then, she turned into the whiny little girl she tried so hard not to be. She screamed. She struggled in his grimy grasp. She cried as he touched her, and she couldn't do anything about it.

She was weak. She was nothing.

'I am nothing...'

She shakes her head as more tears fall, before holding her bow up and aiming it directly at the large spider in front of her.

'I need to focus...'

As soon as they had all gotten outside and Naraku's true form was standing tall in front of them, Miroku grabbed Sango's hand, beginning to start a similar conversation as the other couple beside them.

"Are you alright?"

Sango nodded as a lone tear managed to fall. "Hai. I am worried about Kagome though..."

Miroku nodded in understanding as he took his hand back and got into his battle ready stance. "I am too. But right now, we need to focus on our enemy. Once he is defeated, we will make sure Kagome knows we are not upset with her. That she did nothing wrong."

Sango nodded as she turned to her other side and looked down at her little brother. When he turned to look up at her hesitantly, she smiled. "You saved her, you know."

Kohaku looked down at the ground and sighed. "It was Kagura-san." He looked back up into his sister's eyes. "She came to get me. I was just... waiting for my next order..."

Sango reached over and squeezed his hand reassuringly. "You are not at fault. Now come on, let's finish this."

Kohaku readied his kusarigama and nodded once in determination.

°•°•°

After Sesshomaru had layed Kagura's battered form down and turned to glare at the spider, his Tenseiga pulsed at his side. He heard the bastard's decree, but ignored it as the other's spoke in whispers and readied their own weapons.

He resheathed Bakusaiga and placed a hand to the hilt of his father's fang, feeling yet another pulse in response. He turned his head slowly to look down at the wind sorceress and then down at the weapon on his hip.

Sesshomaru fully turned as he unsheathed Tenseiga, noticing the small beings of the underworld gathering Kagura's body in chains, ready to bring her soul from this world to the next.

Not if he has anything to say about it.

His nose flared as he sliced those creatures only he can see, then he resheathed Tenseiga and bent down in front of the woman.

Kagura took a gasping breath in as her ruby red eyes fluttered open. She raised her right hand to rest it on her chest, smiling faintly when she could feel the beating of her heart within.

She turned her head and connected her gaze with the beautiful golden eyes of her savior. "Sesshomaru..."

Sesshomaru stood back up fully and turned slightly, watching as everyone's weapons were now fully at the ready.

"Hn. Don't waste this new life."

Kagura couldn't believe that the Lord of the Western lands had just brought her back to the world of the living. She smiled again, but then she noticed the purple miasma and green poison dripping from the large spider's mouth. She gasped as she stood up and pulled her fan out from her kimono.

"Sesshomaru, his body cannot be slain. We need his heart."

Sesshomaru glanced at her and cocked a brow. "He hid his heart? Where." It was said as a statement, rather than a question, leaving no room for deceit.

Not that he believes she will deceive him. For some odd reason, he feels he can fully trust this strange woman.

Kagura looked over at the fallen castle, stretching her senses until she found what she was looking for. "Kanna was told to protect his heart inside of a barrier. She is over that way." She pointed towards the back of the castle before taking a feather from her hair. "I will destroy it." Before waiting for a response, she took to the air, dodging the web of silk and miasma attacks that her old Master had tried to take her down with.

Sesshomaru unsheathed Bakusaiga once again and stood back with the others. "Kagura is on our side." Is all he said before they all began their attack.

Shippo was being forced to stay behind by Kirara holding onto the back of his clothes with her teeth.

He was doing fine with his orders to stay hidden, until he saw the building collapse with his friends and family still inside.

He had yelled out Kagome and Inuyasha's names as he started to run in their direction without a second thought. Kirara had immediately transformed and grabbed him by the back of his clothes. She plopped him behind the bushes and roared at him to stay.

He listened to her orders, but kept an eye and ear out for his friends. One by one they had escaped the wreckage with the giant Naraku towering over them.

Shippo wanted to help again, albeit a little less fearless this time, but he still tried to run after them. Kagome looked beaten up and he could tell she was crying. Her face was bruised and bloody, there were dark bruises around her throat, and it looked like she bled through her kimono in the stomach area.

Kirara had stopped him once again and decided to keep her hold on him firm as she growled quietly. They watched the scene from behind the bushes as their friends spoke, Kagura was revived and then flew away and dodged Naraku's attacks, then they all began to attack the large spider at once.

It had all happened so fast to his little eyes, he couldn't comprehend everything that happened. One moment they were standing still, and the next, it was pure chaos.

He saw miasma being used as a cloud around the battleground, but Kagome's arrow cleared it up quickly. He sighed in relief, glad to see she has her powers.

He saw Inuyasha use both his Wind Scar and his Adamant barrage. Naraku's legs were torn off, but had quickly reattached themselves.

Sango was slicing at his legs with her katana when he got close, and using her Hirakotsu from afar. The bastard just kept on regenerating his body, no matter what she did.

Miroku was using his staff to fend himself off of any tentacle and bone attacks coming his way, as he threw Sutra after Sutra at the monster. The spots he was able to hit would disintegrate, but quickly return before Shippo could even blink.

Kohaku was quick to dodge everything coming his way as he threw his weapon to slice off more and more pieces of Naraku's flesh.

Shippo watched as Kagome used her arrows to get rid of fallen pieces to flesh to prevent him from getting them back, but it seemed to be for naught. The parts of himself not being returned didn't matter much, when he was able to just create more of himself within seconds.

He watched as the stoic Lord of the West attacked with everything he had. Green flashes of light going from his sword straight through Naraku's body, exploading him to pieces, only for the bastard to regenerate once more.

Shippo had tears in his eyes, wishing he could do something to help as he continued to watch his friends and family sacrifice themselves for the greater good.

°•°•°

As soon as Inuyasha jumped in front of Kagome to throw the first attack, Kagome reached within herself and brought forth her power. She felt her body tingling and knew it would just be another few seconds before she could utilize her reiki to the best of her ability.

She saw everyone around her; Inuyasha, Sango, Miroku, Kohaku, Sesshomaru... They were all attacking and blocking. All so strong and resilient, while she could barely stand. While she still had tears falling undbidden and blood staining her face and clothes.

She could only imagine how pathetic and weak she looks in this moment, trying to fight against Naraku when she is barely able to stand... but she has to try.

Everyone else is so strong. So brave and resilient.

She used to be like that.

Before...

She shook her head, took a deep breath in and closed her eyes. It was like everything around her was going in slow motion. She could hear the explosions of both Tetsusaiga and Bakusaiga. She could hear the shouts of Sango as she used her Hirakotsu. She could feel the thickness in the air as the miasma got closer and closer to touching her skin.

She shivered in disgust. Any part of that bastard touching her was like being violated all over again.

She isn't going to allow that to happen ever again.

Her eyes shot open as her entire body radiated a mixture of pinks, blues, and reds. If she wasn't as calm and collected as she forced herself to be, she would have accidentally purified Sesshomaru and Inuyasha. Instead, she shot off her first arrow, clearing the air of the miasma and hitting Naraku's big spider body straight through his chest area.

Kagome immediately notched another arrow, knowing it was far from over. She watched as every limb, every body part that was destroyed, was either brought back to his body or regenerated once again.

She shot arrow after arrow at the parts of him that were being sliced off of his body, not planning to allow him to get them back.

She can sense the almost completed Shikon no Tama directly in the center of the bastard's stomach, but she knows better than to aim right for that spot. The last thing they need right now is for the jewel to shatter once again and a second Naraku to emerge.

She checked her quiver and noticed she was running low on arrows, fast. She decided not to shoot another unless she absolutely had to. Instead, she placed her bow back onto her back and pulled her reiki into a small pink orb in the palm of her hand. She didn't hesitate to throw it at the bastard's face and body, watching as he began to deteriorate in front of them.

She timed a few shots perfectly with Inuyasha and Sesshomaru's attacks, creating an even bigger explosion and more pieces of Naraku being blown to bits.

Then, her blood ran cold when Naraku laughed and spoke as if his body isn't being torn to shreds.

"After all we have been through, Kagome. tsk tsk. Oh well, soon I will have you again... and again, and again..."

Kagome's anger flared, causing her entire being to sparkle with everything she had, looking like the Fourth of July fireworks.

Inuyasha and Sesshomaru had to jump out of the way as Kagome began to shoot off her reiki much faster and much more powerfully than before.

Balls of reiki are being hurled at Naraku as he stands there laughing and attacking everyone around her.

Kagome ignored her friend's reactions to her as she attacked the son of a bitch in front of her over and over. She was so lost in her rage, and the others were so distracted by their own attacks and defenses, that she missed what was coming from directly behind her and to the right.

She gasped when something shot through her in the right arm, the arm she uses to attack, causing her bone to snap within her wrist. She screamed in agony as her power recoiled back and she fell to her knees onto the cold, hard ground.

She quickly put up a protective barrier, knowing she won't be able to go on the offensive at the moment. She heard Inuyasha and her other friends yelling her name, but she ignored them as she focused her left hand on healing her right wrist.

She has never healed a wound like this before, but she knows she can do it. All she needs to do is concentrate her power the right way.

She closed her eyes as she focused on healing the wound well enough to use her arm again. She winced as tears continued to fall and spread the blood along her face, but she refused to give up. She came this far, she won't allow him to win.

°•°•°

Kagura had just managed to dodge the attacks Naraku had shot her as she flew through the air and made it around the ruined castle. She landed down on the ground just inside of what used to be Naraku's home.

Now it is in complete ruins. Brick, stone and wood are cluttered around. Broken weapons and dead demons are scattered throughout the area.

She walks through and avoids any obstacles as she makes it to the wing where her sister and that bastard's heart reside.

She knows Kanna is still alive, she can sense it through their bond from being born of Naraku's flesh. She also knows that Kanna is very loyal to Naraku, so she has to think of a way to get that infant away from her and destroy it.

She put her fan into her kimono, afraid to use it in this rubble, or she may just end up buried beneath it.

After being saved by the Inu youkai who has so easily caught her attention, she can't waste this chance at life. She put her hand to her chest, as if afraid that she wouldn't feel the beat of a heart within, and smiled once more.

'Sesshomaru...'

Kagura shook her head and continued through the broken castle towards her destination. She carefully moved a large rock and some brick to the side so she could get through, and then took another turn down a different direction.

She can hear the battle going on outside and she knows she needs to hurry. There is no way to kill Naraku without destroying his heart. She heard the explosions and Naraku's taunts. She could feel the burst of reiki, making her grin in triumph.

'That girl is something else...'

She pushed apart another large boulder before wiping the sweat from her brow and entering the only room in the entire castle that hasn't been destroyed.

When she stepped through, she immediately saw what she came here for.

Kanna is within a protective barrier, holding the grinning infant.

"Kanna. Give me Akago. I need him."

The girl looked up at Kagura with her usual emotionless black eyes. She looked down at the infant in her arms before looking back up at the wind sorceress.

"I cannot do that." she replied in her normal monotonous voice.

Kagura stepped forward and looked between the girl she sees as a sister, and the boy she loaths. "Kanna... If we destroy Naraku's heart, we can be free. You can do whatever you want."

Kanna only looked at her blankly for what seemed like an endless amount of time, but it was just a moment. "Free?"

Kagura sighed as she took another step forward. "Hai. Don't you have anything you wish to do with your life, besides serving Naraku's every last wish?"

Kanna blinked up at her, but before she could respond, Akago spoke. "Do not listen to her, Kanna. We must serve our Master, always. Or have you forgotten your purpose in this world?"

Kanna's blank stare looked down at the smiling boy before looking up at the irritated woman. "I cannot do that."

Kagura grunted to herself as she pulled her fan out of her kimono. "Please, Kanna. I do not want to hurt you, but Naraku must be defeated. Give me the infant."

"Don't do it, Kanna. She is trying to trick you into going against your Master."

'Damn that kid!' She took another step forward. "Kanna. You know what Naraku has done. You know what he did to that poor girl. It can all end now. We can destroy him and be free."

In that moment, Kagome's pain filled scream could be heard as her reiki dissipated before flaring up once more. Kagura's heart rate sped up as she looked back at Kanna worriedly.

"Did you hear that? He is going to kill them all and then abuse that girl for the rest of her life! Kanna, kill the infant!"

"I cannot..."

Kagura nearly ripped her hair out. "Damn it!" Her eyes snapped back to Kanna's when she continued.

"...kill him." The barrier around her body disappeared and she held the wide eyed infant forward. "Here."

Kagura's eyes widened as she reached forward to grab the child. The kid was glaring at them, but unable to do much but hold his barrier around his small body.

"Thank you, Kanna." Without looking back, she ran. She couldn't risk using her fan inside this wasteland or she could be crushed.

"You won't defeat me, Kagura. No one can defeat me."

Kagura glared down at the boy before jumping over a fallen wall and through an opening to get outside. She quickly placed the child on the ground and without missing a beat, swiped her wind blades at it. She cursed under her breath when the small barrier didn't waver. She looked over to the ones fighting for their lives and located Kagome.

Kagome was crouched down in her barrier, holding her right arm and wincing as blood was dripping from her wounds.

Kagura picked up the infant and ran towards the girl, dodging Naraku's attacks and nearly getting impaled through the chest once again, but Sesshomaru had jumped in front of her, slicing through the tentacle easily. She looked up at his stoic face and nodded once, before stopping in front of Kagome's barrier, Sesshomaru protecting her from any and all attacks.

"Kagome."

Kagome lifted her tear and blood stained face to see Kagura holding the infant that had tried to take over her heart. Her eyes widened when she realized what was happening. She looked back down at her wrist, which was still not healed fully and winced at the blood pouring out of it.

"I can't do anything with a broken wrist." She sniffled once and then looked back at Kagura.

Kagura growled and looked around at the others. "Call your mate to you."

Kagome continued to leak healing reiki into her wrist, slowly draining her, as she stared into Kagura's sincere gaze. She nodded once before releasing her right hand, squeezing her eyes shut at the pain, and then lifting her left hand to her mark. She scratched it hard enough to leave temporary scratch marks, hoping it would get her mate's immediate attention, before continuing with the slow healing of her wrist.

°•°•°

Inuyasha was slicing through tentacle after tentacle, dodging poison and miasma attacks, while also glancing between all of his friends to make sure everyone is still up and standing.

He looked to his right when he heard Miroku yell out in pain and ran towards him, slicing through a tentacle on his way. "What the hell happened?"

Miroku held onto the wound on his side as he fought to stay on his feet, while Inuyasha stayed in front of him to keep him protected. "A Saimyōshō managed to sting me. It's fine, I can handle it."

Inuyasha looked at the wound worriedly, but nodded in understanding. They could deal with everyone's wounds later.

At that moment, he got a jolt of something within his very soul. His mate was trying to call out to him. He looked around worriedly, holding his Tetsusaiga in the ground in front of him as a shield, and then spotted her. She was crouched down in her barrier while speaking to Kagura. His eyes widened before narrowing into fine slits when he saw the infant she was holding.

Inuyasha turned to the other direction and called out. "Sango! I gotta go over there, stay near the monk."

Sango caught the Hirakotsu on its way back to her and gave Inuyasha an understanding look as she looked towards Kagome and back at him. She ran to be next to Miroku and held the large boomerang firmly as a shield in front of her.

"Are you alright?"

Miroku sliced through another Saimyōshō as it tried to attack, using his Shakujō, and he nodded in the affirmative. "Hai. Let's end this."

Inuyasha was confident that his friends were going to be alright, so he lifted his Tetsusaiga from where he stuck it into the dirt and ran towards his mate. He sliced through the enemies Naraku had summoned, and the tentacles he is still using to attack. He ignored the bastard's taunts and laughs as he crouched down next to his mate, allowing his brother and Kohaku to protect him while he is distracted.

"What's goin' on?"

Kagome looked up into his eyes for the first time since he came to rescue her and realized just how hard it was, before averting them to look back at Kagura and the snarling infant.

"I can't get through that barrier right now. I need you to do it."

It did not go unnoticed when Kagome avoided eye contact as she spoke to him, but he had no choice but to ignore that for now. He needs to focus on the enemy before talking some sense into his stubborn mate. He made a small grunt of understanding as he stood up straight and lifted his Tetsusaiga above his head.

Kagura moved the infant to be just in front of Inuyasha before she stepped back behind Sesshomaru and held her fan out to go on the defensive as well.

Inuyasha's sword turned red and he quickly slammed it into the barrier around Naraku's heart. The infant was wide-eyed and yelling at them as Inuyasha's sword shattered the barrier and sliced through the little body.

Kagome gasped, Kagura stared in awe and Inuyasha smirked.

Suddenly a tentacle came up from underneath of the ground, shoving everyone off of their feet and away from the child.

Kagome's barrier wavered as a heavy shock shot up her arm and down her spine, causing her to yell out in pain. She fell to her side as she gripped her arm, tears falling down her face.

Inuyasha got pushed onto his backside, but quickly recovered to wrap a protective arm around Kagome's body as Naraku's attacks surround them.

Sesshomaru got pushed back, but stood firmly on his feet as he caught Kagura before she fell. Kagura blushed before quickly removing herself from his grasp and standing tall.

Everyone watched as the infant who was cut in two, was once again in a barrier and being brought towards Naraku's body.

Inuyasha's eyes widened as he clawed the few tentacles surrounding him and Kagome away so he could stand and swipe his Kaze no Kizu towards the infant.

Naraku laughed as he used more of his body parts to block any of their incoming attacks. "You think you can defeat me? Kukuku. I am Naraku, the strongest being to ever live. I will destroy you all and take the Miko as my personal plaything. She will be locked away forever, never knowing anything outside of my bedroom."

Naraku laughed more and more as he easily thwarted each and every attack. He brought the glaring infant closer and closer to his body, needing to absorb him before he is killed. He watched as Kagome's tear and bloodied form looked magnificently arousing. She is trying to stand up, wobbling as she clutched her battered arm and as blood is dripping from her bruised face and stomach. Her tears unending and smearing the crimson liquid along her swollen face. He is getting more and more aroused by the second. All the more reason to kill the others quickly, so he can have her all to himself.

He kept attacking each and every one of the puny humans and demons in front of him as he taunted them and brought his heart closer to his body.

He watched as Inuyasha sent strike after strike of his weak wind and adaments. How Sesshomaru attacked with his fancy new sword, but yet it is still too weak to defeat him. The puny humans; Sango and Miroku are fighting with everything they have, yet he could see just how close to collapsing they truly are. The young monk is bruised and bleeding from the poison wound in his arm. The taijiya has many slashes along her face and legs. Kohaku, the boy who was in his control, fighting alongside his sister.

He laughs again. Too bad the young child won't live to see day break. "Kukuku. You will all perish." He sent out a thin tentacle, too fast for anyone to stop, directly at the young child's neck.

He smiled triumphantly as the shard was dislodged from the kid and his sister screamed his name in horror. Kohaku fell to the ground, eyes wide and unblinking, body unmoving, heart not beating.

A Saimyōshō quickly grabbed the fallen shard to take back to its master as Sango fell to her knees in front of her little brother.

The infant was now fully absorbed into Naraku's body, the jewel almost completed. His sinister smile and laugh reverberating the battleground as he watched each and every bleeding and bruised person scatter around like little ants ready to be squashed.

'Soon, everything will be mine.'

°•°•°

Kagome was still trying to heal her wound, but her energy was so depleted that she wasn't going to be able to do it fast enough. She could hear Naraku's taunts and she wanted nothing more than to kill that bastard.

She turned when Inuyasha carefully grabbed her arm, wincing at the sudden movement. She looked at him when he lowered his to lips to her wrist, but she quickly pulled it away.

"No!" She took a deep breath in. "I... I'm fine. I can do it."

Inuyasha growled at her as he forces her arm back into his hand. "Shut up and let me protect you, damn it! We ain't got time for this shit!" He quickly put his tongue to her wrist and began to heal her wounds.

Kagome looked away from his face as yet another tear escaped. Within the next few seconds, the pain began to dissipate and she sighed in relief when she took her hand back. It was still heavily bruised and sore, but no longer broken or bleeding.

"Thanks..." she managed to mumble.

She caught a glimpse of Naraku's thin tentacle heading straight for Kohaku. Her eyes widened as she pushed Inuyasha away from where her reiki would undoubtedly purify him. She closed her eyes and allowed a large blast of pink light to consume her and the boy, placing her purity within him and the shard.

She heard Sango's scream of terror and opened her eyes to see Kohaku laying on the ground, seemingly dead. She crawled next to him and placed a hand to his pulse point on his neck just as Sango bent down in front of him.

She found the small speck of reiki she used to infuse him with and allowed it to consume the boy, having him gasp for air as his eyes blinked open, and his heart beat once again. She sighed in relief, much more tired than she was before and slumped her shoulders.

She turned to Sango and nodded her head. "Take him to wherever you told Shippo to stay. He needs to stay away from Naraku."

Sango nodded with tears in her eyes as she hugged her friend, noticing the stiffness at the embrace, and than lifting Kohaku into her arms.

Kohaku looked back at Kagome before Sango managed to run away. "Thank you, Kagome-sama. You have a pure heart."

Kagome didn't respond but watched as Sango ran as fast as she could to get her brother to safety. She was dodging more attacks as Miroku decided to jump in and protect them both as well.

Kagome looked down at her hands, realizing what she had just done. She wasn't able to heal herself, but she could heal someone else in a time of panic. She didn't think about it, she was just able to do it.

'Pure heart...'

A look of determination crossed her features as she stood up on shaky legs and moved to stand between the two dog demons still currently slashing and sending attack after attack. Without a second thought, she erected a barrier that would undoubtedly protect the three of them from incoming attacks, while they could still send out their own attacks.

Inuyasha's eyes widened as his mate showed inexplicable power, but he kept his hands firm on his weapon.

Sesshomaru was even more surprised by this human girl's incredible power than ever before, a slight smirk crossing his features. 'It would do well to have this human as an ally...'

Kagura was astounded at Kagome's true resilience and used this opportunity to run towards the monk and help protect him, while Sango was busy taking care of her brother outside of the battle zone.

Kagome grabbed her bow and notched one of her two remaining arrows as the three of them stayed protected within her strongest barrier yet. Her powers have escalated as she became more and more focused on her task at hand. She watched as Naraku laughed and continued to throw words at them that he believes will distract them from their purpose.

She pointed the arrow at the left side of Naraku's chest, right where he had reabsorbed the infant, and shot.

Naraku's beady red eyes widened when he was pierced straight through his heart. He coughed, but didn't fall as he used his tentacles and bones to provide added protection around his chest. Another attack like that, and he just might be done for.

"You can't defeat me, girl! You are nothing but an impure little bitch! You don't have what it takes! Kikyo wouldn't have failed, as you have!"

Kagome's fists clenched around her bow as her arms began to shake, her aim faltering.

Inuyasha growled as he sent more Kaze no Kizu attacks towards the spot Kagome had shot before. "Don't listen to him! It ain't true!" He tried to reason, but his attention was focused on the monster in front of him.

Sesshomaru let out a growl of his own as he looked to his right at the shaking girl, crackling with her power in rage. He knew it would look like a weakness, but he needed this Miko to be composed. He knew that they could not do this without her. He placed a hand to her shoulder, making her gasp and look up into his golden eyes.

"You are not to be fooled by what that imbacile says. You will end this, now." He ended his sentence with a small squeeze to her shoulder, making her eyes tear up slightly.

She took another calming breath in and out as she held her weapon firm and shot an even stronger arrow at the spot where his heart resides. The protection he had placed, exploded into a million tiny pieces before completely disintegrating, unable to put himself back together.

Kagome reached back for another arrow, only to go wide eyed at the fact that she didn't have any left. "Damn it!" She slammed the bow back onto her back and brought forth her power once more. Tears streaming down her bloody and bruised face as she focused on what she wanted to do.

When she had learned to make a ball of reiki, all she had to do was pretend she was pulling a string that was connected to her power. She would imagine a small softball size reiki weapon in the palm of her hand, and then focus her power into that spot.

She did the same thing now, but slightly different. She focused on what she wanted to create, and did it.

What seemed like forever to her, was only a few seconds and she was glowing in pink as she was now holding a powerful bow and arrow made entirely out of reiki.

Inuyasha did not think his mate could get any more attractive, but that was quickly proven wrong by the way she stood there, poised and in control of her power. She looked ethereal, holding a bow and arrow that was shimmering in her power. He saw the ring on her left hand glow a slight red and knew she was not only planning on shooting with her reiki, but his youki as well. He smirked as he readied his Tetsusaiga to attack at the same time.

Sesshomaru's skin was crawling with the way her reiki was buzzing all around him, yet he noticed she was so in control in this moment, that she was purposely keeping it away from purifying him and Inuyasha. He followed what the others were about to do, and held his Bakusaiga above his head, ready to end this once and for all.

°•°•°

Sango placed Kohaku on the ground behind the safety of the bushes where Kirara was keeping Shippo. She grabbed Kagome's bag and pulled out some water and a snack and handed it to her brother.

"Here. You need something in your stomach. Don't come back out there."

Kohaku took the water and chugged down half of the bottle before pulling his weapon from off of his back and glaring at her. "I need to help. I am as much in this as you are, ane-ue."

Sango smiled sadly at him as she swiped his bangs to the side. "You grew up so fast, you know that?"

He blushed slightly, some of his old boyish embarrassment showing itself, but then steeled his resolve. "I am helping."

Sango sighed, but nodded her head. He is right after all, he was forced to do unspeakable things. His mind was raped as well, he deserved to be in these final moments. "Okay, but you must stay near Miroku and I."

Kohaku easily agreed as he stood up and dusted himself off. Sango turned to the sniffling Shippo and gave him a reassuring smile. "Everything will be okay, Shippo."

The young kitsune wiped his face and nodded slightly. "I... I wanna help too..." He sniffled a few more times, his eyes puffy and red from crying.

Sango pet Kirara behind the ear as she looked down at the boy. "I am sorry, but you can help get everyone bandaged up when this is over, alright? We will need you more then ever afterwards. Can you make sure you stay uninjured in the meantime? If you get hurt during this battle, then who will help us?"

Shippo got a look of determination in his bright green eyes and nodded his head once. "You can count on me! I'll make sure all of the medicinal herbs Kagome has in her bag are ready."

Sango smiled as she ruffled the boy's hair. "Thank you Shippo." She quickly stood and followed her brother back onto the battle field where she saw the glowing girl between the two Inu.

She stepped up beside Miroku, Kagura and Kohaku as they watched in awe. Miroku used all of the energy he had left to erect a protective barrier around the four of them, so no more pesky wasps and other attacks could get through. He has a feeling Kagome is about to outshine them all when it comes to raw power.

Naraku's eyes opened wide as he saw the display in front of him. The two dogs and their bitch between them. He growled as he saw the woman, his woman, standing tall and proud, acting as if she can take him down.

He was hit once again by an even stronger arrow than before, destroying the protection he placed in front of his heart, but not enough to kill him. He chuckled when he saw she was all out of arrows.

'What a pity...'

Naraku continued to attack at all of them, ignoring his failed attempt at finishing both Kagura and Kohaku off. It didn't matter, they would be bathing in their own blood soon anyway.

He was getting annoyed at the little bitches barrier. It seemed much stronger than it was before. He focused his gaze on her and only her, having his heart actually skip a beat from the way she is focusing her power.

'What!?'

He saw Kagome's eyes shoot open and lock with his, as she held out her reiki made bow and arrow. He snarled when her two dogs readied their weapons as well.

"You can't win! I am Naraku! You are just a weak human whore, pathetic half demon, and an idiotic dog!"

He began to get less meticulous with his attacks, trying to hurry up and end this already.

Then his eyes shot comically wide, but this time in fear.

Kagome stared down Naraku's fear filled eyes and smirked. "Now." was all she said to her fellow youkai, and they immediately heeded her request.

Inuyasha slammed his Tetsusaiga down, striking the largest Kaze no Kizu he has ever done before.

Sesshomaru swung his Bakusaiga swiftly, the green blast of youki swirling and connecting with the yellow of Inuyasha's attack.

'Hit the mark.' Kagome grinned at the look of terror in Naraku's eyes as she let the powerful reiki arrow fly, which she had also infused some of Inuyasha's youki into from her ring.

Everyone watched the scene unfold, eyes wide open and jaws dropped.

The pink and light blue from Kagome's reiki, the green from Sesshomaru's youki and the yellow from Inuyasha's youki, all swirling together in perfect harmony, before it smashes through Naraku's try for a new shield and exploads his chest wide open.

Naraku screams in pain and horror as he begins to transform back into his human form, unable to keep up the look of a spider any longer.

The explosion goes off like fireworks as his body is being destroyed from the inside out. The Shikon no Tama gets dislodged and falls to the ground as he reverts back to his old self.

Kagome dropped her barrier and walked forward, the others following close behind her. She stood over Naraku's body with no emotion in her gaze whatsoever.

Naraku put a shaky hand to his chest where his heart is slowly giving out. "You're just a good for nothing whore. Remember that whenever you try and fuck the hanyou. He doesn't want you. He never will."

Kagome put an hand to Inuyasha's chest and pushed him back to keep him from retaliating.

"Big talk for someone about to meet their end. Although, I'll gladly remember this look on your face, Naraku. Or should I say, Onigumo?" She smiled sadistically when he only sneered up at her, too weak to move.

"How does it feel? To be destroyed of all you knew of yourself? To feel helpless and unable to defend yourself? To feel completely and utterly broken...?" She held her hand up, allowing a small ball of reiki to form in her palm. She had a tear fall as she looked down into his obviously pissed off, but fear ridden face.

"I hate that this is what you turned me into. Someone who actually wants to cause someone else pain and suffering." She let more tears fall unceremoniously down her cheeks as she crouched down on her knees in front of him.

"Good thing I still have purity within my heart. I'll allow you a quick death. But just know, Naraku, with my power, your soul will never be reincarnated. You won't be given a second chance at life. Your soul will forever be banished to Hell."

Without missing a beat, she pushed the palm of her glowing hand against his chest, watching as his heart gives out and listening to his pain filled screams. She couldn't stop herself from closing her eyes as more tears fell. Has she really turned into a monster who wanted revenge? Will she ever be the same again?

She shook her head as she focused on pushing her reiki into him even further. Soon his screams stopped, along with his heart. She grasped onto his soul and squeezed, feeling the corrupted thing weep as it dissolved into hell where it belongs.

When she reopened her eyes, the man before her disintegrated into the ground and she stood up on wobbly feet. She walked over a few meters and bent down to pick up the almost fully completed Shikon no Tama.

Everyone watched as most of the darkness within the jewel cleared at her touch, but Kagome didn't even crack a smile. Her eyes were dull as she handed the jewel over to Miroku to hold until she can get into proper clothes.

Miroku took the jewel and stuffed it in his robes before unwrapping his right hand and looking at the unscarred flesh. He locked eyes with the brown ones of his soon-to-be wife and smiled. He grabbed Sango's hand and waited for the others to finish speaking.

Kagome stepped up to Inuyasha and looked into his golden eyes. Her lower lip trembled as she took a deep breath in. "I... I could use a bath..." was all she said.

Inuyasha nodded in understanding, knowing that they could talk later. He saw how much it hurt her to have to touch that man again. He understands how much she needs this.

He grabbed her hand but she flinched away as she turned in the other direction. "Wh-Where is Shippo and my bag? I uh... need my bath supplies..."

Inuyasha sighed but walked in front of her to lead her towards Shippo and Kirara. The others following as well.

'Kagome... Naraku is dead... Ain't it over? Or are the wounds in your heart too much?'

A/N: How was it? I hope I did well! This type of battle scene is all new to me so I had to think extra hard as I was writing. I hope I did it justice!

There is much more to go! Just because Naraku is dead, doesn't mean the story is over! We still have Kagome's continued healing, the weddings, mating, future things with friends, other stuff... Well, I hope you stick around for it!

Thanks for reading and please leave an honest review!
