Chapter 1

Helping Out

Stats:

Name: Higurashi Kagome

Age: 18 (Just out of high school)

Job: Daycare Center (It's basically a babysitting service. Kids ages 1-12 got there while parents are at work during the day)

Personality: Nice, caring, polite, stubborn, cheerful. (Basically an all around nice girl around most people)

Looks: Raven black hair down to her waist, dark brown eyes, long legs.

Name: Tetsusaiga Inuyasha (Sesshomaru's younger half brother)

Age: 22

Job: Doesn't need to work. He and his brother inherited their parent's wealth when they passed away.

Personality: Stubborn, rude, arrogant, self-centered, egotistical. (He has his caring moments though.)

Looks: Long silver hair, amber eyes, tall, muscular, (I don't want to get rid of the hair and eyes. I just couldn't)

Name: Houshi Miroku (Only child)

Age: 21

Job: Owns a club.

Personality: Nice, polite, caring, hentai. (Although he's nice and polite he is a pervert)

Looks: Short black hair usually held back in a little ponytail, brown eyes, tall, not too muscular but built.

Name: Tajiya Sango (Rin's older sister)

Age: 20

Job: Bartender at Miroku's club

Personality: Nice, polite, stubborn, hot-tempered, violent. (She's nice but can get aggressive when needed. She gets mad easily)

Looks: Long straight black hair, brown eyes, kind of tall, good body

Name: Tensiega Sesshomaru (Inuyasha's older half brother)

Age: 24

Job: Doesn't need one. Owns a powerful business company to "pass time".

Personality: Polite, quiet. (Although polite he is seen as an unemotional person. Has emotions but rarely shows them)

Looks: Long silver hair to his knees, amber eyes, tall, lean, built.

Name: Tajiya Rin (Sango's younger sister)

Age: 19

Job: Bartender/waitress at Miroku's bar.

Personality: Nice, polite, blunt, cheerful. (Polite but blunt when she sees the need to be)

Looks: Short black hair, brown eyes, short

Name: Kitsune Shippo (Under Inuyasha's care. Adopted but doesn't consider Inuyasha as a father)

Age: 5

Job: Drive Inuyasha nuts

Personality: Cute, nice. (He loves being mean to Inuyasha. He sometimes acts older than he is. Has depressed moments.)

Looks: Short red hair, green eyes, short

Name: Ookami Kouga

Age: 22

Job: Doesn't need to work. Inherited wealth

Personality: Cocky, arrogant, rude, egotistical, dense. (Basically the same as the anime but a little more forceful)

Looks: Long brown hair in a high ponytail, blue eyes, muscular

This fic is going to be a little different. Not much though. There are no demons or priestess's in this fic. Some personalities will be altered a little bit but some will stay the same. (Can't get rid of the hentai or Sango the violent one. Too funny) I don't know if Naraku or Kikyo will be in this fic yet. When I introduce another character I will put the stats at the beginning of the chapter they appear in. The ones above are all the ones I know will be in the fic. I hope you like it.

Summary: Kagome is just out of high school working at a daycare center when she meets Inuyasha. Interesting things happen after that.

Kagome sighed for what seemed to be the fifth time that day. One of the kids had started crying again. Apparently one of the other kids took his ball. She tried to tell him that its nice to share but he wouldn't listen.

Usually she enjoyed her job at the daycare. But lately there had been many problems. Parents would pick up their kids late, which meant she had to stay later than usual. More and more kids were coming.

One kid in particular had been starting to worry her. Kitsune Shippo. He had started going to the daycare center a week ago. He seemed like a happy kid but at times he would look really depressed. A kid his age should never look like that.

"Shippo why aren't you playing?" Kagome asked him.

"I don't want to." He said.

"Why not?" Kagome asked. "Is there something wrong?"

"No." Shippo said.

"Well is there anything I can do? You shouldn't look so depressed."

"I'm not depressed."

"How about we go watch a movie?"

Shippo's face brightened and he jumped up. "Hai!" He said. Kagome grabbed his hand and they walked over to the TV.

Kagome turned the TV off after the movie was over. Most of the parents would be coming to pick up their kids soon. The kids were putting their coats on and grabbed their stuff waiting for their parents.

This was the worst part of the day for Kagome. She had to talk to the parents while getting the other kids ready at the same time. She also had to make sure the kids grabbed their things and didn't take anything of hers.

All the kids were gone but one. Shippo was coloring on the other side of the room. She walked over to him and sat down. "I'm sorry." He said.

"For what?" Kagome asked.

"For making you stay late."

"That's not your fault. I don't mind." Kagome said. She joined him in coloring hoping he would forget about being sorry. It really wasn't his fault.

A couple hours later the door to the daycare center opened. Kagome looked at the entrance. She assumed they were there for Shippo. "Can I help you?" She asked.

"I'm just here for Shippo." He said. "Oi runt let's go."

"Hai Inuyasha." Shippo said. He grabbed his stuff and walked outside.

"Sorry I'm late I got into a fight." He said.

"It's ok I guess." Kagome said. She watched as he left. He had the most beautiful eyes. They were a unique amber color. His hair was silver and really long. She'd never seen that shade of hair or eyes.

Kagome locked up and decided to go to Miroku's club. She didn't really have anything planned and she told Miroku she would help as a waitress since he was short handed. She went home so she could change.

When she arrived at the club it was just opening. "Hey Miroku." Kagome said.

"Hello Kagome. You look lovely in that waitress uniform." Miroku said.

"Arigato. Did you have to make them so revealing though?" Kagome asked. She was in a black dress that stopped right below her butt and showed a lot of cleavage.

"Well it attracts people and they show off your lovely figure." Miroku said.

"My eyes are up here hentai." Kagome said dryly while pointing to her face. "What would Sango say if she saw you looking at me?"

"I wouldn't say anything."

"Sango I didn't know you were here yet." Miroku said nervously.

"I'm sure you didn't." Sango said. She walked up to Miroku and hit him. "Hentai."

"Wow Sango are you sure you don't like him?" Rin said coming from behind her.

"How could I like him?" Sango said. Her eyes betrayed what she said.

"Then why are you blushing?" Rin asked.

"I'm going to open the bar." Sango said and walked into the club.

"Miroku I suggest you stop your perverted ways." Rin said.

"Why's that?" Miroku said.

"Because baka you'll never get her." Kagome said. Her and Rin walked into the club to help Sango.

"Hmm." Miroku said. He too walked into the bar after realizing he was still standing outside.

The club was busy tonight. Sango, Rin, and Kagome were busy with orders. "I hope you find someone to hire soon." Kagome said to Miroku.

"I know I'm working on it." Miroku said.

"He probably scared them all away." Sango said.

"I would never do such a thing." Miroku said. "I still haven't even put a help wanted sign up yet."

"Well if I get groped one more time tonight I'm out of here." Kagome said. Everyone knew it was an empty threat. Kagome was too nice to ditch Miroku like that.

She walked over to a table. "Can I get you guys anything?" She asked.

"What kind of daycare worker are you?"

"Huh?" Kagome said. She looked at the person who said that. It was the guy who picked up Shippo. "I don't work here. I'm just helping out a friend."

"I hope you don't dress like that in front of the kids." He said.

"Of course I don't. I don't wear stuff like this. I'm only wearing it because it's the uniform." Kagome said. She was starting to get mad. "Can I get anything for you?"

"Nope." He said.

Kagome bit her lip to keep her from yelling at him. First he harasses her about the job and uniform then he goes and wastes her time. She turned on her heel and walked back to the bar.

"What's wrong?" Rin asked.

"Some guy is harassing me about this job and the uniforms." Kagome said. "Then he didn't even order anything."

"Just ignore him. A lot of guys are like that. That's why I get paid so much." Sango said.

Kagome nodded and left the bar. She was really getting irritated. Guys kept staring at her and calling her over to tables for nothing. If Miroku weren't such a good friend she would've left hours ago.

Finally it was time to close. Kagome shut the door as the last people left. She helped Sango and Rin clean up. "Where's Miroku? Isn't he supposed to be helping?" Kagome asked.

"He's talking to some old friend of his." Rin said.

"They knew each other a while back but then Miroku moved here and his friend just moved here about a week ago." Sango said.

"He did say he'd be here soon to help." Rin said. Kagome nodded and went to take a box into the back.

Miroku showed up with his friend and talked to Sango and Rin. "Ladies this is Inuyasha. Inuyasha this is Sango and Rin." Miroku said.

"Miroku you're supposed to be helping." Sango said.

"I will I just wanted to talk to my friend for a little while." Miroku said. Kagome came back and stopped when she saw the guy from earlier. "Ah Kagome this is my friend Inuyasha."

"Uh huh." Kagome said and went to put the chairs up on the tables.

"I wonder what's wrong with her?" Miroku said.

"She's probably mad about being groped all night." Sango said.

"She's right Miroku. She did this as a favor so you can't complain about her attitude." Rin said.

"I know." Miroku said. "Like I said earlier I'm working on getting some help." He eyed Sango as she reached up to put a glass away.

Sango screamed and dropped the glass. Kagome hit him before Sango could. "Since I'm helping you out the least you could do is not grope us tonight." Kagome said.

"Thanks Kagome." Sango said.

"So then tomorrow I can start again?" Miroku said.

"I just said for tonight because we all know you can't last until then." Kagome said.

"Still a lecher eh Miroku?" Inuyasha said. "Some things never change."

"Well I can't help it when I have such lovely company around me." Miroku smiled.

"I'm done I'm leaving now." Kagome said. She put her jacket on. "Are you going to need me tomorrow too?"

"Gomen but yes." Miroku said.

"Don't you need sleep Kagome?" Sango asked. "It's three in the morning. You have to be up at six to open up the daycare center."

"I'll be all right." Kagome said. "I'll see you guys tomorrow." She left the club.

"She does way too much for you Miroku." Rin said.

"I know. I feel as if I'm taking advantage of her." Miroku said.

"You are?" Sango said.

"Am I?" Miroku said.

"Yep ask him." Rin said and pointed to Inuyasha. "Let us know what you think. She comes in at nine to help open up the club and doesn't leave until three in the morning and then she has to wake up at six to go to her daycare job and he's not even paying her."

"I was going to pay her." Miroku said. "She won't let me."

"You are taking advantage of her." Inuyasha said. "I got to go. I'll come back tonight so we can talk more." And he left the bar.

So how was it? I have no idea where I'm going with this fic. I just got the idea. I don't know if I'll continue or stop. Let me know what you think. I might change the title of this fic. What do you think I should call it?
