Back To Work

"Kagome what are you doing here?" Rin asked.

"Aren't you supposed to be in bed?" Miroku asked.

"Well my doctor said I can be up just as long as I do a couple of things." Kagome said. "Besides I'm going to start working here."

"Oh really? We can have so much fun." Rin said. "Well if you ignore the outfits, and the perverts."

"I know." Kagome said. They all walked into the club.

"What are you doing here Sesshomaru?" Inuyasha asked. "I thought you were too busy with work."

"I am. I just found something more interesting." He said while looking at Rin.

"Oh I have new uniforms for you girls." Miroku said.

"Are you going to have us change into a different uniform every night?" Sango asked.

"Hai. It makes things interesting." Miroku said. He handed them their uniforms. The girls walked into the back to change.

"Are you sure that's a good idea? They might kill you later you know." Sesshomaru said.

"No they won't at least Rin won't." Miroku said.

"Why won't Rin kill you?" Sesshomaru asked.

"Well she helped design this uniform. I told her my idea the other day and she jumped at the chance to help me." Miroku said.

"What about Kagome and Sango?" Inuyasha asked.

"I will never know what their reactions might be. Women are very mysterious." Miroku said.

"Speaking of mysterious women here they come now." Inuyasha said.

The girls didn't look too mad. They were glaring at Miroku but they weren't trying to kill him yet. They were wearing schoolgirl uniforms. They had a plaid skirt with a white blouse that was tied below their breasts, knee high white socks, and black heels. Their hair was up in pigtails.

"I still think you're a hentai but this uniform is ok." Sango said. "The skirt is too short and I don't like the blouse."

"Well I think you look great in it." Miroku said.

"See I told you they'd like it a little bit." Rin said.

"You helped him design these?" Kagome asked.

"Hai." Rin said. "Either that or he'd make us walk around in playboy bunny outfits or something."

"Rin!" Sango yelled.

"What?" Rin asked innocently.

"That's a great idea Rin. I'm going to need your help on it though." Miroku said. Then he walked away to the back room with a grin on his face.

"Oops." Rin said. "At least these outfits are cute. I hear the guys are into the schoolgirl look nowadays."

"Great that's all we need. Thirty year old drunk men groping young women in schoolgirl outfits." Kagome said. "I don't need to be touched every five minutes because I look like a little girl."

"Personally I like the look." Sesshomaru said looking at Rin.

"I'm glad you agree. What do you think Inuyasha?" Rin asked.

Inuyasha just stared at Kagome. The outfit looked great on her. She looked so innocent and pure. He hadn't realized he'd been staring at her until Sesshomaru hit him in the back of the head. "It's not polite to stare." He said.

Kagome blushed and muttered something about getting things ready. "I guess you really do like them." Rin giggled. She walked away with Sesshomaru.

`I was staring?' Inuyasha thought. He didn't even know what came over him. Once he looked at her he couldn't take his eyes off of her. He'd never acted that way around a female before.

He'd never even been attracted to females (Not that he was ever attracted to males.). He didn't care. He figured they were too much trouble and decided to stay away from them. Especially after he'd heard so many stories about the heartbreak his friends suffered. His mom died leaving his father to grieve and he didn't want to go through that. He'd seen how much his father missed her until he died.

He couldn't help it. He was drawn to her, like a moth to a flame. He'd tried to ignore it but it wouldn't stop. He didn't know what he was going to do about it either.

"Hey Inuyasha can you give me a hand with this?" Miroku asked. He had boxes at his feet.

"Why? It's not my club. Do it yourself." Inuyasha said.

"I would but Kagome needs help putting boxes on the shelf." Miroku said.

"I'll help her and you can take care of the boxes." Inuyasha said. He walked into the room Miroku came out of. Miroku smiled and then sighed. Now he would have to take the boxes out back.

Kagome was standing on a high counter. Miroku had bought some glasses a long time ago and kept them up above on a shelf. He wanted them down so Kagome offered to climb up there and get them down. The box she had was heavy.

Miroku said he'd only be a second. Two minutes had passed and Kagome's arms were starting to get tired. She heard footsteps coming toward her. Her back was to the door. "I thought you said you were only going to be a second." Kagome said. He took the box and set it down. "Ok you can hand me the other box now."

She turned around so she could get it. Then she noticed that Inuyasha was helping her and not Miroku. She jumped and started falling off the counter. Inuyasha caught her. "Daijobu?" He asked.

"I'm fine. You just startled me." Kagome said.

"Keh. You shouldn't let people scare you like that. I can't be around all the time to catch you." Inuyasha said.

"You don't have to be a jerk about it." Kagome said. She waited for him to put her down. When he didn't she looked at him. He was already looking at her. "Umm you can put me down now."

Inuyasha stood her up. She fixed her skirt and went to get back on the counter. The only thing was the ladder was gone. "What are you looking for?" Inuyasha asked.

"The ladder is gone and I need to get back onto the counter." Kagome said.

"I'll help you." Inuyasha said. Before Kagome could say anything she was lifted into the air and onto the counter.

"Couldn't you have told me before you did that?" Kagome yelled.

"I did." Inuyasha shot back.

"Well you could've given me a chance to actually get what you were saying." Kagome said. "Can you hand me that box?"

Inuyasha lifted the box she pointed to and handed it to her. "Is that all?" Inuyasha asked.

"No I need the box that was under it then I can get down." Kagome said. She shelved the other box that was handed to her and tried to think of a way to get down. She screamed when Inuyasha hit her foot, knocking her down. He smirked as he caught her.

"What did you do that for?" Kagome yelled. "I could've fell and got hurt."

"But you didn't did you?" Inuyasha said.

"That's not the point." Kagome said a little irritated. "Put me down."

"I don't think I want to." Inuyasha said.

"What do you mean you don't want to?" Kagome asked. "Put me down." She tried to get out of his arms.

Inuyasha laughed and sat her on the counter. "You get mad too easily." He said and walked out of the room.

Kagome sat on the counter mad. What a jerk! He goes and insults her and then knocks her off a high counter and tells her that she gets mad too easily. She got off of the counter and went behind the bar. She was going to tell him off but people were starting to come in so she had to save it for later.

It was a busy night. Apparently word had got out about the school uniform outfits and they gathered their friends. The club was packed. There were people standing outside. "I didn't know so many guys liked this look." Sango said.

"I told you." Rin said.

"Didn't think this many people would show up." Kagome said.

"Neither did I." Rin said. "Didn't know it was this popular."

"Better get back to work. There are a lot of customers. Kagome can you go check on Miroku in the VIP room?" Sango asked while grabbing drinks for people.

"Hai." Kagome said. She pushed past people to the back. On the way a whole there she'd gotten groped about five times. She couldn't tell who was doing it so she couldn't do anything about it. When she finally made it to the room she sighed.

"Is something wrong Kagome?" Miroku asked.

"Oh nothings wrong except that because of this outfit I've been groped by almost every guy in the club." Kagome said sarcastically.

"Well it does attract a lot of people." Miroku said.

"I just came in here to ask if you guys wanted anything." Kagome said.

"I just want some water." Miroku said. He owned the club he didn't need to get drunk. "Do you guys want anything?"

"Water. I'm not in the mood for alcohol." Inuyasha said.

"Same." Sesshomaru said.

"So let me get this straight, I came all the way over here getting groped to get three orders of water?" Kagome said.

"..." No one said a thing. They could tell she was mad and didn't want to set her off. They could practically feel the anger radiating off of her in waves. She just turned around and left.

"You hired one hell of a woman." Inuyasha said.

"Really Inuyasha? So you like her?" Miroku asked.

"Ah yes do tell little brother." Sesshomaru said.

"Urusei." Inuyasha said.

Kagome grabbed the water but not before hitting someone on the way there. This time she was able to catch someone doing the groping and he was currently on the floor. She walked into the room. "Here's your water. Oh and Miroku someone's lying on the floor knocked out. You might want to go check that out." Kagome said sweetly.

Too sweetly for him. "Why what happened?" Miroku asked. Although he had a pretty good idea what happened.

Kagome just smiled and handed Sesshomaru and Inuyasha their water. "Maybe he fell?" She said innocently. "I'll put your water on the table while your gone k?"

"Ok. You stay here until I get back." Miroku said to Kagome. He didn't want a repeat of what happened. He left the room.

"Did the guy really fall?" Inuyasha asked.

"After I hit him." Kagome said under her breath. Inuyasha and Sesshomaru were able to hear her. They exchanged a look and drank their water. "So where's Shippo? I hope you didn't leave him alone?"

"Of course not. He's too young to be left alone. I take him to his aunt's house when I'm out. I'm looking for a baby sitter." Inuyasha said. `Damn that outfit.' He thought. He couldn't concentrate while she was wearing it.

"I'm going to talk to Rin." Sesshomaru said. He got up and left. He stuck his head back in. "Miroku might be a while." Then he left once again.

Kagome walked and peeked out the door. People were gathering around in a group and Miroku was yelling. "Looks like I'm stuck in here for a while." She said and shut the door.

"You must've hit the guy pretty hard." Inuyasha said. He sat back in his seat.

"He shouldn't have touched me." Kagome said. She sat down and crossed her arms. Maybe she shouldn't have hit that guy. Then she wouldn't have to be stuck in the room with Inuyasha. She was still mad at him for earlier.

"How hard did you hit him?" Inuyasha asked. He'd closed his eyes so he wouldn't have to see the uniform. She looked so good in it. When he closed his eyes she just popped up in his mind.

"Considering how fast he fell pretty hard." Kagome said.

"You're a violent one aren't you bitch?" Inuyasha said.

"What did you call me?" Kagome said.

"Bitch?" Inuyasha said.

"Bastard."

"Wench."

"Jerk."

"Slut."

"Arrogant dog."

"Whore."

"Cocky baka."

"Go out with me." Inuyasha said.

"Huh?" Kagome said. She was thrown off. Wasn't he just insulting her?

"I said go out with me." Inuyasha said.

Translations: Daijobu- In question form it means Are you ok? When said as a statement it means I'm fine. Baka- Idiot. Oyasumi- Night (Shorter way). Oyasumi Nasai- Good night. Hai- yes. Urusei- Shut up. I'm not sure how to spell it though. I think that's how. Let me know if you need some other words translated.

I would just like to say that I'm glad for the advice and stuff but I was wondering if people could start sending them to me by e-mail. It's easier for me to read that way. Another thing Shippo goes to his aunt's house while Inu and Sess are at the club. In the one chapter I wrote that Shippo was at his aunt's but since Inu was with Kagome he had Sess pick him up. Sorry if it wasn't clear enough. Later Shippo should be getting a baby sitter or something. I haven't figured out what yet.

Sorry if the fic is a little boring but I don't really have a plot line for it. I just wrote it because I had some spare time. I write this fic when I'm stuck on my other ones. I'm doing my best to fix things. Right now I've zoning out and stuff so I'm not always in the right state of mind.
