Announcements and Planning

Kagome and Inuyasha decided to wait until Sesshomaru and Rin got back to announce their engagement. Kagome had to make sure not to wear her ring around others. They had agreed on it and also had to bribe Shippo to make sure he didn't say a word. Inuyasha also agreed to let Kagome plan the whole wedding as long as it wasn't too girly and he was able to wear a suit of his choice. He also wanted to pick her wedding dress out.

Sesshomaru and Rin had gotten to their home earlier that day. They took an early flight and were supposed to catch up with everyone for dinner that night, which was soon. Inuyasha made sure Kagome was ready before hand so they wouldn't be late.

They had just dropped Shippo off and were already at the restaurant. As usual they were the last to arrive. Kagome ran to Rin as best as she could while wearing heels. "How was Italy?" Kagome asked.

"I had the best time!" Rin said. "It was so much fun! How have things been here?"

"Same as usual. Inuyasha with his whiny attitude, Miroku and Sango with their abusiveness." Kagome laughed.

Everyone took a seat at the table and waited for a waiter or waitress. "So what did you guys do in Italy?" Miroku asked.

"Sightseeing, shopping, watched some movies, some other things." Rin said. "I've got souvenirs for you guys in the car. I'll get them for you guys...afterwards..." She trailed off slowly. "OH MY GOD KAGOME! WHEN DID THAT HAPPEN?"

"Rin calm down!" Kagome said quietly. People nearby heard the outburst and were now staring.

Rin apologized quickly and reached over the table for Kagome's hand. She examined it very closely. Kagome was half way over the table trying to keep herself covered. She was wearing a short dress that evening.

Inuyasha noticed and threw his jacket over her. "Rin, do you think you could let go of my fiancé so she doesn't have to expose her ass?" Inuyasha shouted the last three words.

"FIANCE?" They all shouted once again gaining everyone's attention.

"When did this happen?" They all asked at the same time demanding to know.

"If you would calm down." Kagome said. Rin finally let go of her hand. She sat back down and gave Inuyasha back his coat.

"It happened a while ago." Inuyasha said. "We were just waiting to tell you when everyone was here."

"Oh my god! I never thought you'd get married. Well I never thought you'd actually propose!" Sango said.

"I never thought it either." Miroku said. He'd known him for years and could never even imagine him dating.

"Well nice to see you are marrying Kagome. She's the only person who could put you in your place." Sesshomaru said and took a sip of his wine.

"Shut up Sesshomaru." Inuyasha said.

"That means we have another wedding to plan!" Rin said excitedly. "I'm glad I saved all the wedding books. We can start tonight!"

"Rin it's not you're wedding." Sesshomaru reminded her.

"I would like your help Rin, Sango you to. We can start tonight if you'd like." Kagome said.

"And let the ignoring begin." Inuyasha said and drank a whole glass of wine in one drink.

"Well seems like Miroku is going to have some catching up to do then." Sesshomaru said.

"I guess I do." Miroku said looking at Sango. She was oblivious to what he had just said. She was talking to Kagome and Rin.

"Well let's hurry up with dinner so we can get planning!" Rin said. "Sessh we'll have to stop by the house. Wait, who's house are we doing this at? Probably yours huh?" She looked to Inuyasha.

"I guess." Inuyasha said.

"Have you decided on a date?" Sesshomaru asked.

"We agreed not to decide anything until we told you guys." Kagome said.

"Well any thoughts now?" Miroku asked.

"How soon do you want to be married?" Sango asked.

"I'd rather get it done as soon as possible." Inuyasha said.

"It doesn't really matter to me." Kagome said. "Since I'm planning everything why don't you at least choose the date."

"How about next month." Inuyasha said. "I don't feel like waiting."

"You just can't wait for her to be Mrs. Inuyasha Tetsusaiga can you?" Miroku asked.

"Guess not." Inuyasha smirked. "I'll book the date with a church and you plan whatever you want."

"I don't think we could get this done in a month." Kagome said still a little shocked about how fast he wanted to get married.

"Don't worry. It can be done!" Rin smiled. "We'll just have to work harder than usual."

"Glad to see your so optimistic Rin." Kagome sighed.

"Someone has to be." Rin said. "Like I said let's hurry with dinner and meet at your house."

An hour later they were all done eating and already at Inuyasha and Kagome's house. They had picked Shippo up on the way. He was currently playing video games in his room not wanting to get in the way.

"So here are all the books and magazines I have." Rin said as Sesshomaru dropped a box on the table. "This is so great. I don't think my stomach will be that big by the time of your wedding."

"You ate so much today though." Kagome said surprised. She had two meals, appetizers, and she even ate some of Sesshomaru's food.

"I can't help it. I'm eating for two you know." Rin smiled and looked at Sesshomaru, who returned her smile.

"I still don't see Sesshomaru as a father." Inuyasha shook his head slowly.

Kagome threw one of the wedding books at his head. "Don't say that. I think he'd make a great father." She said.

"Oi, you didn't have to throw a damn book at me!" Inuyasha shouted as he rubbed his head.

"It's the only way to get anything through your thick head." Kagome said. She took the book from Inuyasha and looked through it. "Right now I want to look for your dresses."

"Hmm we're going to be up pretty late for this." Sango said. "We should keep this a surprise from the guys."

"You expect us to leave? Where are we going to go?" Inuyasha asked.

"Want to play video games?" Shippo asked.

Inuyasha sighed and took the controller from Shippo. Sesshomaru and Miroku followed suit and also grabbed a controller. "I can't believe we're stuck in here with Shippo. No offense Shippo."

"None taken." Shippo said. He then laughed. "The girls whipped you badly. They've got you wrapped around their fingers."

"Where in the hell did you learn to talk like that?" Inuyasha asked.

"You." Shippo said as he took Inuyasha's guy out in the game.

"Damn, didn't know I was such a good teacher." Inuyasha chuckled.

"I don't think Kagome would appreciate you teaching your kids that kind of stuff." Miroku said.

"Miroku's right. She's going to hit you for it." Sesshomaru said.

"Shouldn't you be aware of Rin's mood swings?" Inuyasha retorted?

"Shut up." Sesshomaru said with a hint of anger in his voice. "I'm already dealing with her bad eating habits."

"What do you mean?" Miroku asked.

"I mean while on our honeymoon I had to go out at three in the morning to get her some ice cream. By the time I got home she was asleep and didn't even eat it at all. I had to throw it away when we left." Sesshomaru explained.

"That's what a kid comes with." Inuyasha said.

"Like you would know. You have Shippo who's pretty much grown up." Sesshomaru said.

"Yeah yeah. So Miroku when are you going to ask Sango to marry you?" Inuyasha asked changing the subject away from kids.

"I don't think she's ready for marriage just yet. Did you see how she reacted when I told her I loved her? If I asked her to marry me she might flea the country." Miroku said.

"Good point." Inuyasha and Sesshomaru said at the same time.

"I hope this wedding goes by fast." Inuyasha said.

"I can't believe your getting married." Sango said. "And at such a young age."

"I'm an adult now. I think I'll be fine." Kagome said.

"That's not what I meant." Sango said.

"Have you told your mother yet?" Rin asked.

Kagome froze. She never really thought about it. None of that had ever crossed her mind. "I still have to talk to my mother." Kagome repeated to herself. "I don't know who else I'm going to invite."

"You really haven't grasped the idea of being married have you?" Sango asked as she rested her chin on her hand.

"I guess not." Kagome said.

"Better get this out of your system now. Trust me your not going to want to go through this right before the wedding." Rin said.

"Well I think we should get the wedding plans started since we only have a month." Kagome said.

"He sure seems to be in a rush to get married. To think before he met you he wasn't even interested in finding a wife." Rin said.

"Well I wasn't really looking for a husband myself. It just happened. Actually come to think of it he pretty much guilted me into the first date." Kagome said.

"That's right didn't you `owe him a favor'?" Sango asked sarcastically. "Like that isn't an old line."

"Well it's not like it mattered." Kagome said. "I hated him when I first met him."

"That's the way it was for me with Miroku. Perverted bastard." Sango shook her fist.

"So when are you two tying the knot?" Rin asked.

"I'm not ready for marriage." Sango said. "As much as I love Miroku I don't think I could tie myself to him just yet. Just the idea of it is scary."

"That's you Sango. You avoided most guys until Miroku came along." Kagome said.

"He wouldn't leave me alone. Then he offered me a job and it pays good money." Sango said.

"Well let's get these wedding plans started before we talk more about old memories." Rin said.

Kagome and Sango both nodded in agreement.

From what I've read in reviews you're all going to hate to see this fic end. Sorry but it has to end some time. The next chapter will more than likely be the last. It will Inuyasha and Kagome's wedding and that's it. I may do one-shots later but I'm not sure. There are other Inuyasha fics I would like to start on but I want to finish my other fics first. Besides I've been really busy lately. Well hope you like this chapter. Let me know what you think. Ja ne.
