BYE SUNRISE

She watched her entire life pass her by…in that one instance

 

She saw all her mistakes, every heart break he caused…in that one instance.

 

She saw her first kiss, she remembered his words good and bad, and all that was bliss…in that one instance.

 

She watched in slow motion as he fell to the ground the sword impaled…his last words silent but so clear…his eye on her and within them being held, a

vow of eternal love, a sorry for every sin committed, and all of thee

above, his last moments on this earth and all she could do was watch

as the blood pooled and he died , empty she felt as the sun rose in

the sky an empty void in her heart,

 

a heart she knew was broken the transparent shards scattered at her feet, feet which were soaked…dyed red… she couldn't remember…did she scream?

 

Did she cry? Was she even still breathing?...was this all some cruel

lie? A nightmare perhaps…she didn't know when she started to move

but suddenly she was there next to him…no it was real it was true, his paling skin was proof enough,

 

she realized as she covered his eyes closing them for a last time, he was dead and she was not, his promise broken his dreams shattered their future

forgotten, their fate proclaimed, he was really dead,

 

Rin wasn't sure though could she make it through another day, without her lord by her side, the man that made life a little less meaningless, a little more worth her time.

 

No she couldn't. Rin gently brought out the dagger lay hidden at her feet,

 

already tinted in her lovers blood, a simple cut was all it would take for her to bring about an end…so she closed her eyes knife poised as she laid down to die, a final goodbye whispered to the wind that passed them by.
