She stood on the balcony over looking the world, clouds giving it a foggy look as if looking through glass covered in fine dust. Her mid-back blond hair blowing in the wind, she wore a metal bra with two metal bars like ribs, white bikini bottoms with bars, belt that held up two metal plates one on each leg, shin guards, shoulder pads, upper arm bracelets and leather wrist bands, A long silver cape flowing giving her a look of royalty, sword on her right hip and wooden staff in her left hand, her vivid green grey eyes fixed on the world below. Her home destroyed, her family dead only she had managed to survive, she steeped forward onto the railing of the balcony falling forward to the ground, earth her new home....

60 years later
you walked through the lush forest, wearing a white kimono with a simple silver flower pattern on the edge of the sleaves, collar and bottom, a pure sliver obi matching your long cape. Walking your senses buzzing searching for any hidden danger or enemies the smell of blood hung in the air both human and demon. Following the strong sent you soon picked up the sent of an old friend {Inu Yasha it's been awhile} you thought as sounds of a battle, a blade against an earthy substance hit your ears. The air was thick with blood and miasma it was a wonder you acutely picked up his sent at all, curious you peered through the trees, it looked like a massacre, blood and body parts every were. A human girl stood close to you long black hair in a weird outfit, bow and arrow in hand. A demon slayer farther over holding up a weakened monk, kitsune and nekomata in its large form stood between the pair and human. Looking away you saw Inu Yasha fighting a dark haired, red eyed half demon puppet, a woman stood off to the side fans in hand watching the humans. {Funny, now that I think of it the human looks like the Jewel Priestess} you think watching the battle ensue. "It seems, Inu Yasha, we've got our selves an ordinance," the half breed puppet laughed cruelly as the humans and Inu Yasha look confused. "Come on out," it said cooing you, ticked coz you hated being cooed you stepped forward out of the bushes, staff in hand, onto the blood covered clearing face set like stone, unreadable. All eyes turn to you "Who might you be, beautiful?" the puppet asked, "Hmmm," you look at him unafraid "And why should I tell you?" you ask he looked angered by your response, Inu Yasha amused. "Hi I'm Kagome," the Priestess said walking over to you "Sango's the slayer, Miroku's the monk, Shippo's the Kitsune and Kirara's the Nekomata and the guy over there is- you cut her off saying "InuYasha it's been too long," she looked shocked. "My name is Devani [day-vah-nee]" you finish looking at the puppet your face unchanged eyes cold, "Naruko and Kagura I presume," unaffected by who you face. Miroku had made his way over to you a flirtatious smirk on his face "Monk I shale not bare you child so don't even bother," you say, InuYasha laughed at your out of the blue statement.

The battle had stopped since your arrival "Please continue, the puppet should be an easy feet for you Inu," you coo coldly board of the small talk. InuYasha became angered and attacked it getting it dead on destroying it quickly while Kagura fled soon after, "How'd you know it was a puppet?!" Kagome asked, you softened, eyes becoming lively, smirked, shrugged and rolled your eyes as Inu Yasha walked over smiling. "You still got it, huh Devani you haven't changed AT all," he said as you smiled laughing, "Neither have you, come here," you wrapped your arms around him tightly, he returned it in kind. "So you guys know each other?" Sango asked watching as you stepped back "Yea I've known dog boy for over 60 years," you say bitting your tongue at their shocked looks. "But how you're human you should be all old and grey?!?!?!?!!!" Kagome shouted, looking at InuYasha you both broke down into fits of laughter. "That's rich *laugh* you *laugh* think I'm a mortal!!" you laughed so hard tears come to your eyes and your chest began to hurt. "You mean your not?" Sango asked alarmed, you had to admit you looked so human you could pass through towns like one. "Technically no I'm not," you say straightening your self out, "What are you then?" she asked annoyed but Inu Yasha answered for you "Not even I know that". "Hay Devani why don't you stay with us for the night?" Kagome asked realized you weren't gonna tell, yet "That would be nice, thank you Kagome," your voice now held warmth like earlier it held nothing, it was empty hollow of all feeling. You walked with the group talking to Kagome and Sango well they talked you listened, you found out that Kagome was Kikyo's reincarnation from about 500 years into the future and could travel through a well between the two times, and that the reason Sango travelled with the group was to save her beloved brother and kill Naruko for his tertiary. Soon you came to a good sized clearing, Miroku and Inu Yasha went to get some fire wood, the sun just setting behind the horizon and the first stars shone through the night sky, your eyes lost on the full moon not noticing the boys return.
InuYasha's Pov
"So what kind of relation ship did you have with Devani?" Miroku hadn't stoped asking you shit bout D [your pet name for her, like Inu is Devani's for you] and it was getting annoying. "That's none of your business Monk," you snapped a little to harsh as you both returned to camp, the girls walked over "Hay guy's Kagome want's to go home for a bit when we get to Keada's" Sango said cheerfully. You grunt slightly unhappy at the fact that once again your search was hindered, eyes locking on Devani who was lost in the night sky. "She's been like that for ages," Shippo said slightly creped {still lost in her head} you thought solemnly.
Devani Pov
you lay back against the tree behind you, eyes closed while they eat, you had no real need for food only if you became sick or injured which almost never happened. You had to sleep on the occasion, just to rest your eyes, mind and body. Sleep soon took you and you fell into the dark pits of your mind only to wake in the middle of the night to the smell and sound ever so quiet, of an intruder, slightly opening your eyes you saw a small green imp. You felt an arm around your well toned waist, Inu Yasha's sent filling your nose and you knew the arm belonged to him {Just like old times} you thought. The imp looked at you as you looked at him ready to fight if needed. Shortly after he saw you he was replaced by a handsome full blood dog demon, Sesshoumaru you knew of him coz InuYasha had told you along with many stories. His cold golden orbs found you and he moved slowly to look upon your seemingly sleeping form, "I guess two women aren't enough for you little brother," he said mockingly. He stood there looking at you for at least a good half hour before kneeling down lightly kissing your forehead at this you opened your eyes fully looking into his golden ones when his soft silky lips meet yours you closed your eyes savouring the moment for some unknown reason. "Sesshoumaru," InuYasha growled as he walked away pretending to wake up you moved your shoulders and made a sleepy grown reopening your eyes slowly you look up at InuYasha. Faking shock you jump a little saying "Inu what are you doing?" as quietly as possible so not to wake the others, he looked at you tightening his grip failing back to sleep so you closed your eyes resting your head on his chest falling to sleep in your ex lovers arms.
