Kaede was good on her word. Kagome felt that maybe she really could get some studying done. After two days, Miroku and Sango decided to see if they could find some work in a neighboring village exterminating demons, and took a petulant Shippo with them.

 

On the morning of the third day, Kagome woke up and stretched contentedly. After the incident at Goshinboku, InuYasha had become paranoid about having sex in the feudal era. He had hardly touched her since then, and told her he was okay because the rut was almost over. But this morning when she woke, he was no where to be found. Strange he would go away before breakfast. Kagome shrugged, and decided she would make enough breakfast for two just in case he came back.

 

In the forest that morning, InuYasha was struggling with himself. Three days of sexual abstinence was taking its toll. It felt like every day the sexual tension was just building instead of going away. He began to believe that trying to control it because he could was probably not a good idea.

 

Drawing Tessaiga, he took out his frustration on the trees. His blade sang through the air and sliced trees in half until he had created quite a swath of destruction around him. Finally he stopped and leaned on his sword, and he could hear his blood boiling.

 

It was no use - the rut needed at least one last release before it let go of him.

 

`No more little demons falling on us, please,' he thought, as he bowed his head over his sword. `Ah, Kagome, I'm sorry, he thought. At least you've had time to heal.'

 

He sheathed his sword and headed back to the village. So wrapped up in his thoughts and controlled by the rut was he that he did not pick up on the presence entering the forest as he left it.

 

Kagome looked up as InuYasha walked in the door.

 

“You're just in time for breakfast,” she said smiling.

 

“No breakfast,” he said.

 

She only had a split second to notice his demeanor before he was upon her. He leapt on top of her and pinned her to the floor, momentarily knocking the breath out of her.

 

“InuYasha…?” she began, but he cut her off.

 

“I need you…NOW!” He said and engulfed her mouth in his.

 

He ground his hips down on top of her pubic mound, and she could feel his erection fighting to get free and be inside her. He broke the kiss long enough to whip the nightgown she was still wearing over her head. Just as quickly he had shucked his own clothes, his body on fire with need for her. And since she had fallen out of favor with her creator and slave keeper, she had something to prove and would not be denied.

 

Kagura heard InuYashas howl of sexual release and an evil smile came to her lips as she released her wind attack upon the house. InuYasha lay panting on top of Kagome when the wind began to thunder around the small hut, tearing at the walls of the house. He gathered Kagome beneath him as the debris came crashing down around them.

 

` Kagura!' He thought angrily, his sex dulled senses returning.

 

“I know you are in there InuYasha,” Kagura shouted as the debris settled, “Don't tell me I've killed you in my first attack. That would be too easy.”

 

He jumped up, sending debris flying off him. Kagura saw him and smiling sent another attack.

 

“I see you're still a slave to the rut, naughty boy.” She quipped.

 

“Stay down Kagome,” he said, reaching for Tessaiga under the remains of the house.

 

He found the sword just in time to deflect her attack, and leapt away from the wreckage so as not to further endanger her. Kagura smiled, and started to laugh when she saw that despite her attacks he still had an erection.

 

`Hmmm…Maybe I can use this to my advantage.' She thought.

InuYasha was desperately trying to put more distance between Kagome and himself before releasing the wind scar. But Kagura had him deflecting a barrage of attacks, and the debris from the house kept flying up and getting in his way.

 

Kagura was beginning to think that she might have the upper hand this time, but her over confidence eventually worked against her. Her attack slowed down just enough that InuYasha was finally able to leap totally free of the remains of the house and release the wind scar. Angrily, Kagura was forced to flee, but not after making one last jab at InuYashas condition.

 

“When you stood up InuYasha, I wasn't sure which sword you were going to use against me,” she said laughing, “too bad you used Tessaiga - it would have been interesting to see if you wielded the other one half so well.”

 

He looked down to see he still had a raging erection, and turning red, fell to his knees in mortification. Meanwhile Kagome had freed herself and came running over to him.

 

“Are you okay?” she said, kneeling down next to him.

 

He grabbed her and groaned, hiding his face on her shoulder.

 

“Will this god damned rut EVER END!” He wailed angrily.

 

“Come on InuYasha,” she said, tugging on his arms, “we better find our clothes before the villagers arrive.

 

As if on cue they started to come out of hiding. In a panic, Kagome jumped into his arms and he went down on the ground. Suddenly a blanket was thrown over them and everything went dark. They huddled under it as they heard the sound of curious children approaching.

 

“Okay children,” they heard Kaede say, “That's our lesson for today folks. Thank you for coming”
