Chapter 1- Dreaded Surprise
Kagome hurdled over all the twigs and branches as she ran through the forest. “Inuyasha?! Where are you?!” She cried. She trip over a log and fell to the ground. Mud splattered all over her uniform, turning it brown. Her view was blocked by a large pile of dead leaves. She shoveled away the leaves and instantly wanted to die.
 
Inuyasha was holding Kikyo close to him and Kikyo was crying. “And when those demons came after me,” she sobbed, sniffling between every word. “I fell over and really thought I was going to die.” She hugged Inuyasha tighter and her lips connected with his.
 
“N-no,” Kagome stammered. Fresh tears fell from her eyes. “He loves her? But How?” she found herself asking. The only one she truly trusted, loved, and cared for didn't feel the same way back, but for someone else.
 
Inuyasha immediately broke the kiss. He knew someone was there. Kagome took of running and at the corner of his eyes, he saw her. He also took off running and left Kikyo clueless.
 
“Kagome wait up!” He called. But it was too late. He could tell by the loss of her scent, she had already gone through the well.
