Okay, this is gunna be a good fic, for once. Anyways, I hope you people would review and such, but oh well. I have a passion for horses and I have five, so this story has horses, romance and dama..DOM DOM DOM!!! Okay, on with the story.

The girl looked out the window only to see nothing but darkness, occasionally iluminated by a street lamp. The pavement under the car was filled with potholes, that made the car bounce and made her hit her head on the ceiling of the small four door. She looked over and next to her was her mother, not speaking and watching ahead, so they wouldn't hit a deer or something. She turned her head around and smiled when she saw her little brother sleeping in the backseat, drooling and such.
"Mom, when are we going to be there?" she asked her mom with a yawn.
Mrs. Higurashi looked at her and smiled a weak smile. "Soon, we'll be there in about five minutes."
Then the car went sillent again, like a dark cloud that had fallowed Kagome for ages, now it was apon the whole family. They reached the mega-huge, mega-expensive house that her G-pa and GramGram owned. (A/N: lol that's wut I call my grandparents.) The curtain to their sitting room swished and then came out her G-pa, with his squinty eyes and all.
The two women got out of the car leaving the boy in the Honda Civic. Kagome stayed rooted at the foot while her mother ran to the old-timer. They hugged and did the mushy stuffs and Kagome reluctantly walked over to her grandparents. She gave them both hugs and they commented how she was becoming 'quite the young lady' and she just smiled. Then Souta emerged from the car rubbing his eyes. They went into the house and Kagome climbed the spiral staircase up to her room.
She almsot threw up when she saw it. It was pink and purple, and not awesome darkish violet purple, it was this sickening purple color. The pink was light, light baby puke pink. She sighed and walked over to the full-sized bed. Frills and more frills. She made a nasty face and then walked over to one of her many suitcases and took out a white wifebeater and shorts with Peter from family guy on the but with the words "Freakin' Sweet" above his head. She threw them on and walked into the bathroom that was hers, connected with her room. She brushed her teeth and put her hair up in a messy ponytail. She turned off the light and wlked back into her pitch black room. She conclueded that it looked it's best in the dark. She climbed into the bed and felt to sleep instantly.
The Next Day
She woke up with the sun shining threw her pink and grayish blue flowered curtains. "This room needs to be redecorated," She said to herself and walked over to her suitcase and picked out her clothes. She took out a mini jean skirt and a dark, dark purple shirt that said: "You're just jelous because the voices talk to me." in black letters. She took the articles of clothing and went into the bathroom and took a hot shower.
When she got out, she brushed her hair and changed into her clothes. She dried her hair and left it down. She went back into the room and grabbed her black Roxy flip-flops with pink polka dots. She grabbed her iPod mini and started it up and sang to The Veronicas to herself. She ran into her mom halfway down the hall. "Mother dear, I'm gunna go on a walk, since it's so nice and all." She winked and skipped down the stairs. She had to be strong for her mom, since her dad left, her mom hadn't been the same.
The warm sun hit her pale skin and she watched the people walking, and she realized that she was the only non-tan person on the block. Great. She walked down the sidewalk and when she realized that was just a complete waste of time because all the people were over fifty in this community. So she went back to the house and went to the backyard. It really wasn't a backyard because all the people have about 5-10 acres of land and her GramGram just happened to have a passion for horses. Since they had lots of money, they had expensives house, expensive old person cars and expensive horses.
She watched her G-ma yelling at some boy on a horse, he was getting lessons and wasn't doing so good for Mrs. Satsuki was yelling quite alot. "Blah, blah, blah...TROT. Blah, blah, wierd stuffs, post, gosh darn." Finally the boy got it and she broke into a grin and the boy's lesson was over. He dismounted and led the horse over to the barn so it could be groomed. The boy was bragging to his mom about how good he did. Looked only about nine or so. Kagome's grandmother walked over to where she was standing. She was smiling at her with a crazy smile.
"Kagome! Dear! Did you see that? That boy just needed a little yelling at and he did what I told him to perfect. And since your whole entire family has a gift with horses, I bet you do too. Now go change into some jeans and I'll lend you a pair of boots." She turned Kagome around and gave her a shove towards the house.
A Half Hour Later
Kagome was outside, with jeans on and riding boots. In front of her was a horse that was 16 hands named Heza Suprise, Prize for short. (A/N: Okay, a hand is four inches so pretty much 16 divided by 4. And Prize is and acctual horse. he's my step dad's.) "Now, put your left foot in the stirrup and hop on your right foot and then get into the saddle." There was Kagome's GramGram in the middle of the arena and Kagome was there too...about to get on a horse. Once she did what she was told, with no real effort, she was ready sitting in the western saddle. "Okay, not kick him with both feet and say: Come on." she said in a loud voice full of athority. Kagome did as she was told and the horse began to move under her. "Toes up heels down!! Put your toes up and your heels down!!"
Yet again, she did as she was told and her grandmother seemed impressed. Then a guy about Kagome's age appeared into the backyard thing.
"Hey Mrs. Satsuki. I'm here to ride, obviously." he grinned at her and then walked into the barn and 10 minutes later he came back out with a huge polomino (kind of like a blond color) and then he looked at Kagome and turned red. "Oh, I'm sorry, uh, I thought you were going to ride, becasue I mean, usually, you don't let others people ride uh Prize." he was embarrassed and his sexy cool was out he window.
"Oh that is not a problem, Kagome, dear say 'woah' and pull the reins" Kagome did as she was told and stoped next to her grandma. "InuYasha, this is my granddaughter, Kagome, she's staying with me for a while and Kagome, this is InuYasha, I used to give him lessons and now he just rides with me sometimes." She winked at InuYasha and motioned for him to come into the arena. She exited, saying she needed to get a water.
He got on his horse, who's name was Coche, and began to make hom turn in circles to streatch him out. He then walked over to Kagome and grinned at her. "Well, it's nice to meet you." he gave her a lopsided grin and she returned it with her normal one. "Yeah, same here." she kicked Prize, and almost fell off because she was off balance and InuYasha cracked up at her stupidity.
"I can't ride! This is my first time, so shut it!" She turned to him, he was wearing a baseball cap that said 'Vote for Pedro' and a blue polo shirt that showed off his muscles and hotness. He had on faded blue jeans. He cocked an eyebrow at her.
"Well, I guess that means your not going to the show next month. The one your grandmother holds every year?" He smiled at her and trotted off. She wasn't about to let this jerk, well, this hot jerk get away from her.
"What do you mean!?! Show? She never said anything to me!" She called after him, but he just shrugged his shoulders. She couldn't take this. She gave her horse the trot signal, which was clicking her tounge and kicking the horse. He broke into a slow trot that wasn't very bumpy and she urged him to go faster, this stuff just came to her. She caught up to him and he smiled and stopped his horse. She did the same and glared at him.
"Show?" She asked him with venom dripping in her voice. And he shuddered at the scariness of her voice.
"Yeah, your grams puts on a show every summer and people compete and they win stuff if they win the class. As in western pleasure or halter, showmanship, barrels, things of that nature, and then there are out-of-town shows to go to also, I go to lots of them with Coche here." he smiled and gave his horse a pat on the neck.
"Umm..cool." She smiled and copied him, by like patting her horse. Then her grandmother came out. "Now, time for the lesson to start." she grinned evilly at Kagome and Inu wished her luck. She just gulped.
An Hour Later
"It really wasn't that bad." she said to Inu, limping with her horse back to the barn. She had done really well, now she was just really sore. Uber sore. He just laughed at her and they entered the barn and untacked their horses and he took her saddle and she led Prize back to the pasture after he got a good brushing and right away, he rolled in the grass. Then Coche ran after him and they began biting each other, which InuYasha said they were playing. Sure.
They walked back to the house, he was making fun of her that she was such a bad rider and she kept punching him. He reached his car, well truck. he drove a bright yellow Dodge Ram. (A/N: It's cooler than it sounds!) He got in the truck. "See ya tomarrow, horrible riding person" He waved as she gave him an unexceptable hand gesture and then pulled out of the driveway, grinning.
She walked back into the house and there was her G-pa, smiling. "I saw the whole thing, you have my blessing, InuYasha is a good young man." That statement made her turn red and she ran out of the room. She went upstaisrs and into bed.
