Sango watched Miroku out the corner of her eye, wondering when he would stop playing around and finally take their relationship seriously. He had proposed to her a few months ago, and she had happily agreed, thinking he would stop groping other women and devote his time solely on her as he should, but it was not to be. She sighed, frustrated beyond belief with his behavior, she knew he was scared of the wind tunnel sucking him in and leaving her alone, and she agreed that they should not try to start a family until the threat of Naraku was past, but she had learned that life was uncertain and some time fleeting. She wanted more than anything to free her brother, Kohaku from Narakus insidious grasp, and as much as she longed for her brother to remain alive she knew that when his memories returned he would always be haunted by his actions, done willingly or not. She comforted herself with the hope that once the jewel shard was removed he would be able to rest in peace. She looked at Miroku again and almost growled her displeasure at the ignorant monk, her needs were not being taken care of by her man and she was getting tired of pleasuring herself, she needed him desperately. She calmed her rapidly beating heart at the thought of joining with him and began to think of a way to get him to make the first move, she was about to give up hope of finding a plan that would work until she was struck with sudden inspiration" Why should I wait for him to act first when I can take matters into my own hands?" She almost laughed with relief at the knowledge that her wait was almost over, but stopped herself before she made the others suspicious of her odd behavior.

 

Sango looked over at Kagome who was reclined against a tree with the young fox demon,Shippo asleep in her lap, the young miko that she thought of as a younger sister, and couldn't help but notice that the normally cheerful miko was in a melancholy mood. In the past she would only get in these moods when she caught InuYasha with Kikyo, but as time went by Sango noticed that the young mikos feelings for InuYasha evolved and changed as she grew older until she stopped giving him looks of longing when she thought the others weren't looking and started treating him as a overprotective and sometimes overbearing older brother. The members of the group started training Kagome after about a year of shard hunting, they were worried that something would happen to her if someone wasn't around to protect her, and they also knew that she wanted to get stronger so she wouldn't be a liability during battles anymore. She surprised them all with how fast she learned and adapted to their strenuous training, once Miroku taught her how to find the source of her miko energy, her powers were almost endless, when Miroku taught her all he could she was able to purify almost anything with demonic energy, infuse any inanimate object with her powers, making everthing she touched a weapon and make barriors as strong as Naraku's. Kagome had changed from a defenseless young girl into a strong and capeable women. Sango was very proud of her younger sister and couldn't help but wonder what caused her to be so depressed. She decided to wait and talk to her when they had their nightly bath, hopefully she could help with what was bothering her so much.

 

InuYasha jumped down from his tree and said it was time to continue their search, so with a few grumbled protests from various members of the group, they continued onward. When InuYasha finally allowed them to rest for the night, they were all throughly exhausted from the long hours of walking, they didn't find any jewel shards much to InuYashas displeasure. Sango stood up and followed Kagome to the hotspring after they had set up camp, telling InuYasha to watch Miroku while they were gone. They walked together in comfortable silence, stripping their clothes off and easing their aching bodies in the steamy water, enjoying the peaceful forest around them. Sango watched Kagome, noticing she was deep in thought and decided to try to find out what was wrong with her. She cleared her throat, catching Kagomes attention and asked"Kagome-chan what is wrong and don't tell me nothing because you haven't been youself all day!" Kagome was quiet for a long time then she looked like she had made an important decision before replying "Sango-chan I'm in love with Sesshoumaru and I don't know what to do about it."" I don't know how it happened or when and it's tearing me up inside not knowing if I have a chance with him or not."" I know he is supposed to hate humans but he takes care of Rin like she was his daughter and when he and InuYasha fight I always feel his eyes on me." Sango was shocked, this was not what she expected at all, but as she thought back to the recent fights between the brothers she realized that Sesshoumaru did pay alot of attention to the little miko. She replayed every detail of their fights, trying to remember if the taiyoukai did anything else that was out of the ordinary and couldn't stop the tiny gasp from escaping her when she remembered that other than paying more than enough attention to Kagome, he would leave hastily afterward, amber eyes burning with alot more than hatred. She laughed in delight and turned to Kagome, who was watching her carefully, waiting for her reaction. Sango gave Kagome an impish look and asked "Kagome-chan would you like to claim Sesshoumaru for your own?"

 

Kagome stared at Sango, wondering if her ears were playing tricks on her, she blushed stammering " Um Sango-chan what exactly do you mean?" She was sure Sango was joking until she leveled a serious gaze on her and said "I am tired of waiting for Miroku to make the first move so I am going to get him alone, bind him if necessary and then seduce him.""I was thinking if you wanted Sesshoumaru why don't you do the same thing, he might be harder to convince because of his pride, but I know you'll get him in the end."Kagome thought about it for awhile, wondering if she could be bold enough to seduce Sesshoumaru and then she decided even if it didn't work she wouldn't know if she didn't try. Kagome shared a mischievous smile with Sango and replyed "Sango-chan, that is a wonderful idea, I would of never thought of it." Sango smiled, glad that her adoptive sister was going to take the chance, she knew that Kagome and Sesshoumaru would be happy together. Sango nibbled her bottom lip, growing pensive "Um Kagome-chan there is a slight problem with our plan." Kagome looked at Sango curiously "What is it Sango-chan?" Sango blushed, "Kagome-chan do you know how to seduce a man because I don't." Kagome looked at her adoptive sister incredulously before giving her a comforting smile "It's ok Sango-chan I don't know anything about seduction but I can get some books from my time that will teach us all we need to know." Sango sighed in relief and slowly relaxed again'st a nearby boulder, but before she could get comfortable Kagome jumped up excitedly "Sango-chan! why don't we tell Kikyo and Ayame your idea, I'm sure their just as frustrated with their men as we are." Sango thought about this for a moment "But Kagome-chan, Kikyo is dead and how will we find them without InuYasha and Miroku following us?" Kagome sighed," Sango-chan I have found a spell that will give Kikyo another soul and tommorow I will tell InuYasha that I want to go home for more supplies. You will take me on Kirara so it won't take as long and after we leave we'll search for Kikyo and Ayame." They talked for a little while longer before getting out of the hotspring, dressing and returning to the camp, each smiling mischievously.
