Inuyasha walked down the dirt path in his forest. He had only one thing on his mind, and that was to find kagome… `I wonder where she went' He thought as he walked aimlessly down the path.

"Inuyasha! Where do you think your going?!" "I'm going to find the jewel shards stupid!" he yelled at kagome. "I don't need this from you, you-you BAKA!!! SIT BOY!" with a loud `thud' she left him laying face first in the ground and walked down the path into the forest. "I'm goin to find the shards on my own, and don't you DARE try to follow me!" "FINE THEN!" Inuyasha replied hastily.

"Inuyasha!, Inuyasha!!" "WHAT?!?!?!" he quickly turned around to see Shippo frowning at him. "Fine then Inuyasha, I wont tell you what I found!" and then the little kitsune walked towards the edge of the forest, knowing Inuyasha was now curious as to what he found. "ok ok! What is it you little fur ball" his ears twitched with curiosity. "hai! Follow me!" Shippo ran through the trees.

(Mean while)

Kagome didn't know where she was going or how she was going to get there but all she wanted at that precise moment was to get away from Inuyasha. Seething with raw rage knowing that she would probably end up walking back to stupid hanyou, she entered a clearing only to find a body lying on the ground surrounded in a pool of blood. She instantly sensed a jewel shard near by, she then walked closer to the body. She looked at the familiar silver hair covered in blood and the torn haori with shattered armor around its shoulder. She knew who he was even though she couldn't see his face, due to the fact he was facing his back to her. "Sesshomaru…." She whispered softly as she approached him. "Stay… a-away wench…" he hissed and grabbed her wrist as she knelt beside him. She winced feeling his claws dig into her wrist, but she ignored the pain "Sesshomaru are you ok? What happened?!" he couldn't understand why she was here… he's tried countless times to try and kill her and her gang… this completely baffled him. Kagome looked at Sesshomaru staring into those beautiful golden eyes of his, no matter how mean or cold he was, she still couldn't get over his eyes. "What… are you… doing here miko…" he winced as the gashes all over his body ached. "im here to help you" she replied softly. "why" he glaced away from her soft brown eyes. `why isn't she running away? I can smell her fear…' "because I want to! What is WITH it, you your and your brother and not liking help!" sesshomaru turned his head to the side, not knowing what to say, he was shocked that she referd him to his discrace for a brother, but he didn't show such an emotion and his cold face `me? Like my brother? Ha! I'll kill the little runt…'his eyes gleamed at the thought. Kagome noticed the blood trickling down her wrist from the youkai's firm grip on her wrist. `why am I here?' she thought `he could easily kill me…' she sighed in discontent, then senced a high power approaching her. She looked around to see where it was coming from, before getting back handed from behind. She let out a small yelp of pain as she fell forward, but she quickly caught her self before landing on the injured youkai in from of her leaving herself straddled over him. She quickly got up and surrounded them both in a protective shield as she saw the assutling youkai. It was some sort odd bugg, it was green with red eyes and the body off a bee and twice the size of her. She also senced where the jewel shards were coming from… "miko… what are you doing…" sesshomaru asked coldly. "it has a jewel shard in its fore head and 2 in each of its front legs" she winced as the odd bug youkai rammed into her shield "its my job to take it out!" she added quickly as she prayed for the shield to hold. "listen miko… this sorry excuse for a demon has hurt me badly… you say I has shikon shards embedded in it?" he asked, his expression as cold as his words, watching the miko struggle to keep up the barrier. "hai." She replied exustedly and pulled out her bow and arrow `like hell im going to let inuyasha save me… I'll have to take care of this myself!' she thought as she let fly her miko arrows one at a time until slowly the youkai attacking her lost two shards in its right front leg and one from its left, grabbing them and purifying them instantly. "leave miko, I don't don't need your help." "like hell you don't!" she replied to the youkai lord. At those words the injured youkai lord stood up (with some pain of course ^.^;) and held out his sword towards the bug youkai slashing off it head and left arm, quickly grabbing the shards from them, and watched it turn to ash. He immediately ell t one knee and mentally called is general. "so I need your help then miko" he asked sarcastically then turned around to see her laying on the forest floor, a gash in her arm from the sharp rock she landed on was bleeding as well as several other cuts on her face and body. Her school uniform was torn and battered as well. `passed out? Weakling…' he thought as she breathed in slowly.
