Seems like just yesterday,

You were a part of me.

I used to stand so tall,

I used to be so strong.

 

He was drawn to her voice trailing over the dark lands.

 

Your arms around me tight,

Everything, it felt so right.

Unbreakable,

Like nothing could go wrong.

 

He followed the sound of the angels. He could smell her, and she was different. The miko had demon blood in her veins.

 

Now I can't see.

Now I can't breathe.

 

He walked through a forest until he came to a clearing. The Bone Eaters Well sat in the middle, and sitting on it, soaking in the rain, was the miko.

 

I'm barely hanging on.

 

She was singing. But her song was a song of sadness and sorrow. Even through her pain, he was attracted to her voice, her song.

 

Look around,

Sense what you can't see.

 

She was sitting on the edge of the well. Although it was raining, he could smell her tears and sense her emotions.

 

Close your eyes,

It's so clear.

Here's the mirror,

You can't hear me scream.

 

She was sad, broken-hearted…

 

Without wings,

You can't get in.

Here I am,

Once again,

I'm torn into pieces.

His brother must've finally broken her heart to the point where it couldn't be repaired anymore.

 

Can't deny it,

Can't pretend,

Just thought you were the one.

 

He felt her sadness through her song.

 

Broken up,

Deep inside.

But you won't get to see the tears I cry.

 

The miko stood up, the rain pounding in his ears. She turned to him and forced a weak smile, her hair matted down from the rain. She was unhappy and he watched as she spread her arms, closed her eyes, and fell forward into the well. Lightning flashed on thunder clashed, and there on the ground was a string of jewel shards.
