Chapter 9
Inuyasha's mistake
"Is this about Rin?" Inuyasha asked as Sesshoumaru drew a drop of blood from Kagome.
"Now you remember." He said retracting his claw. "Do you remember how you fucked up, and now she's gone."
"What? I didn't do anything! I told you that, she told you that!" He barked at his brother.
"You let her die!" He growled back. Inuyasha shook his head, trying to remember when the whole thing happened. Inuyasha thought back to the night where it all happened.
…:::Flashback:::…
"Alright Inuyasha, let's get the stuff and get out." Rin said walking towards the docks where they were told to pick up the shipment. She was wearing tight black spandex as her personal trademark. Her hair was tied up high so that it wouldn't get it her way from her work.
There were four men standing on the dock around the tiny speedboat, with another inside. The man inside the boat was a full demon, and the four men were merely humans, nothing they couldn't handle. They approached the end of the dock, where the men had been waiting for them.
"It's about time; the money?" Barked the man in the boat.
"Rin?" He said looking at her. She reached into her coat and pulled out a large envelope with the money inside.
"The stuff first, then you'll get your money." Inuyasha said, motioning to the man. He picked up a suitcase and handed it to one of his four men. The man handed it to Inuyasha and stepped back to the formation. Inuyasha opened the suitcase and set in on his knee. He sniffed it and then closed it. He motioned to Rin for her to pass it on. She walked up and handed him the money, giving the four men dirty looks. He accepted it and opened up the envelope, sliding the contents out.
"Is this it? 60k? I thought we had a deal for 90k? Are you trying to rip me off?" The man said shocked. His men tensed up, getting ready to fight.
"Yeah, we know. But Sess said that it wasn't worth as much as you're giving it to us for. He's done his research. He decided to give you a little more than it's worth though." Inuyasha explained.
"What the fuck! Tell him I want my 90k! OR NO DEAL!"
"Too late, we've already got our stuff, and you got your stuff. I believe that it's a done deal." Rin said with a smirk. She had been working with Inuyasha too much in the past. The two of them turned around and started to walk away.
"STOP WHERE YOU ARE!" The man yelled. "I want my stuff back, or you two will suffer the consequences."
They both stopped and turned around to look at the demon carefully.
"I'm shaking in my knickers!" Rin said, her voice heavy with sarcasm. Inuyasha had to stifle a snicker as he listened to how much her attitude had transformed from when he first met her. At this point the man was very ticked off. He muttered something to his men in a foreign language. Inuyasha didn't have to be smart to know what he was telling them. The men nodded to the demon before charging towards himself and Rin. They split up to go after them, each one about to be knocked out cold. They listened and went after the pair. Two went after Rin, and the other went after Inuyasha.
Inuyasha wasted no time in giving them a few good smacks to the head before they both collapsed on the ground in a heap. Rin looked at Inuyasha as if waiting for him to finish up.
"Now if you're done, we'll be going now." Inuyasha said straightening his coat. Rin rubbed her nails on her coat, then blowing them like she had just gotten a manicure.
"In fact I'm not. They're nothing compared to me, only mere humans." He said while getting out of the boat.
"Then bring it." Inuyasha said getting very annoyed with the man's pathetic attempts. He dropped his coat behind him and suddenly pulled out a samurai sword. Without warning, he disappeared from his place and reappeared from behind the two and struck the sword down on Inuyasha. He could feel the metal slicing through his back as he fell forward. He couldn't tell what was happening with Rin, but he was sure that she was doing far better than he was.
He got up slowly and shook off the mere cut. He turned to see Rin jumping away from the sword's path. He ran up to the man at full speed and took the man to the ground. The sword was knocked away from his powerful blow and his only weapon were his hands. Inuyasha wrapped his fingers around the demon's neck and started to squeeze hard. He gagged, bringing up spit. Inuyasha tightened his grip until he could feel the bones being crushed under his hands. When he rose his gaze to the thing's face he saw that his eyes had bulged out. Inuyasha let go of the man's neck and watched his head fall to the side. He got up off of him and took one last look at the man disgustedly.
He looked around for Rin, but he couldn't see her. He was about to head back incase she had retreated, but then he heard a faint cough coming from the dock's edge. He ran over and saw her just floating on her back. She looked at him with tired eyes as he lifted her out. As he looked at her she had a large gash down her chest. She was loosing blood fast, and he knew that she needed medical help. From what his nose was telling him, he didn't think that she was going to make it. He shook that thought from his head.
"Are you alright?" He asked her.
"Yes Inuyasha, I feel like I could run all the way around the world." She said sarcastically, still able to live up to her title. Inuyasha smiled at her.
"I could just leave you here you know?" He warned, still joking around.
"But you won't because Fluffy would kill you. Just get the stuff and we'll go back to him." She said before going into a fit of coughing. Inuyasha nodded as he gathered up the packages and then lifted Rin into his arms. He took no time as he ran off to where Sesshoumaru awaited them. As soon as they arrived he kicked the door open and dropped the stuff on the floor loudly.
"Can you be any lou-" Sesshoumaru began but stopped as soon as his nose picked up the scent of blood. He turned around in his chair as fast as he could, almost breaking the wheels off.
"R-rin?" He croaked.
"That bastard didn't like the change and was pretty quick. He attacked me, then went for Rin. She fought as long as she could. I tried to help her, but I was too late." He said as he decided to hand her over to his brother. He placed her in his lap gently before taking a step back.
"S-she's so l-lifeless…" He said as he stared at his love. Rin wasn't dead yet, but she was slipping away slowly. She opened her bright brown eyes and stared up at him.
"Fluffy…" She started to say but had to take in some deep breaths before she could continue. She stared into his eyes, each pair full of fresh tears waiting to fall. "I tried to…for you…"
"I know…I know." Sesshoumaru said, his mouth now very dry.
"I…I don't wanna go like this…but since…there's nothing left in me…I guess this is goodbye…" She breathed in some more, now tears streaming down her face. She smiled weakly at him.
"No you're going to be alright. You're going to live…" He whispered to her, his stoic and emotionless mask breaking apart.
"Don't lead me on…I'm not stupid…" She said breathing in ragged breaths.
"I know…sorry…"
"Don't be…" she smiled a weak smile, and he couldn't help but smile too. "I…want to tell you…that I…I love you…and always will…"
"I love you too. I always will, I will always love you." Sesshoumaru said, a single tear escaping the damn he had built with his eyelashes.
Her cold hand reached up and wiped the tear away. She smiled one last smile before she pulled herself up, along with his help, to give him a cold kiss on the lips.
"Never forget the love…I love you forever…Fluffy…" She said before falling limply in his arms. He stared at her limp body and started shaking it.
"Wake up Rin…wake up…stop playing games!" He said, now clearly heartbroken. "Don't leave me…I'll be better to you…"
Inuyasha took this time to leave. He left his brother to cry, knowing that he probably would alone. He was upset that his partner in most deals had gone. She had been faithful and loyal, and despite her appearances, she was very strong and fast. She was like a little sister to him. He rubbed his eyes, careful not to cry, and walked away, wanting to turn his back on that life. He couldn't break down when he lost someone. It was something that he didn't want to witness anymore, not ever again.
…:::End of Flashback:::…
"Inuyasha…are you thinking of how you let her down? How you let her die?" Sesshoumaru asked calmly.
"I…it wasn't my fault! I couldn't do anything! She said that she tried! I tried! He was too fast!" Inuyasha fought, his heart hurting as he thought about it.
"I loved her Inuyasha! Rin was my life! And you let her die! You know why I made her your partner? Because I knew that you wouldn't let her die, that you would protect her." He almost lost it when he let those words leave his mouth.
"She didn't want my protection! Remember? She said that she could defend herself. We used to fight each other! And who came out on top? She did!"
"I don't care what she thought, she was safe within yards of you or me. No matter what, you let her die, you watched her die. Now I'm taking away your love, so you will see how it feels!" He tightened his grip on Kagome's throat.
"Sesshoumaru don't! That man killed her, not me! If you kill Kagome, then it wouldn't be the same! I tried to save her! You're not even giving her a chance!" Inuyasha said.
"You tried Inuyasha! You shouldn't have tried to save her, you should have just saved her."
"I did what I could, you had a mouth on your hands! She provoked them! She handled the humans better than me. She was no match. You wouldn't even get to say goodbye to her if we weren't there together. If she hadn't been there, I would've died. If I weren't there she would've died. We helped each other. She saved my life so I could bring her back to her love, you."
"This thing couldn't save my life if she tried. She's nothing! You don't know what I've been through without her! I've lost it all; I let it all go! I wanted to kill myself so many times! But then a picture of her came into my mind telling me not to kill myself, that it wasn't right."
"Why do you want me to suffer for another man's doing?"
"Because you need to feel what I feel!"
"That won't bring her back!"
"I know." Sesshoumaru closed his eyes and pressed his fingers against them, trying to get rid of the tears. He was stressing right now.
"Sess…let her go. This is between you and me anyway. Let Kagome go, if you want to kill me then we'll fight. Just don't hurt her, please?"
"No. I don't want to fight you! I don't want you to hurt physically because you will just heal! I want to hut you emotionally so it will hurt forever."
"Do you think that it didn't break my heart to have my partner die on me! God man, she was the reason, my motive to get the fuck out of that business! She wasn't just hurting you, she hurt me. On our way back, she was telling me how much she'd miss me, and how she was glad that I was her partner. She told me that if it weren't for me, then she would've never found happiness. She said that she was going to die happy, in your arms."
Sesshoumaru didn't say anything.
"She said that you meant the world to her, and that she's be waiting for you when you die, no matter how boring it is. She said she is going to be your guardian angel, she is going to look over you. She said that if you ever tried to kill me, then to remember that if I did die, I could wait with her for you. So I could keep her company. I almost cried! She was more than a partner, more than a friend. She was like my sister! My little sister. God when she left, it broke my heart."
"Everything isn't about you Inuyasha!"
"Shut up! What the fuck would she be saying right now? What would Rin say about all of this?" Inuyasha yelled at him. He was breaking up inside with all these emotionally wrecking memories.
"She…she would tell me to cool off and…and then she would sit on my lap and give me a big kiss on the cheek." Sesshoumaru let go of Kagome, closing his eyes and putting a hand over them. "Go…" He whispered to her.
Kagome took one more look at the man falling apart and ran at full speed into Inuyasha's arms. She started crying uncontrollably, shaking from her sobs. He hugged her to his chest tightly, not wanting to let go. He rubbed her back, staring at Sesshoumaru. He had left with one last look to him, only to give a final semi-wave to his dear brother. He closed his eyes and then finally he felt the wave of exhaustion come over him like a tidal wave. His knees began to shake gently and he could feel them about to give out. She pulled away feeling the weakness that was washing over him. Kagome tried to keep him up, but she wasn't strong enough. When his knees finally gave up he fell down to his knees, she fell down with him. They both were close to waist deep in cold water by now and both were completely soaked.
Kagome's clothing were see through by now, but she didn't care. Inuyasha leaned his forehead against hers to keep himself from toppling over. Kagome let her hands rest on his which were by now submerged. He entwined their fingers together under the surface and gently rubbed his thumb against the back of her hand.
"Kagome…" Inuyasha breathed. "I-I thought that I had lost you, after Kikyou tried to…" He swallowed, not caring if his voice cracked, revealing how upset he was.
"It's okay, it doesn't matter. I'm here, with you." She said putting a hand on his cheek, turning cold from the water.
"Kagome, there's something I need to tell you. I-" He started, but Kagome pressed her lips to his cutting him off. It was a quick kiss, but it was meaningful. She smiled at him. "Love you." Inuyasha finished. Her eyes filled with tears, not of sadness, but of happiness.
"I know." She whispered as she stared into his eyes. "I-I do too." He let her hand slip from his and pulled her closer to him. He stared into her sparkling sapphire orbs and he almost started to cry from happiness. Her eyes radiated out so much love that he could barely believe that it was meant for him. He pressed his lips firmly on hers, not wanting to waste a moment of it. They were still soft like he last remembered them, only he didn't enjoy her touch as much as he did now. She pressed back with as much intensity as her hands gripped at the front of his shirt.
His lips parted as she slipped her tongue into his warm cavern battling for dominance. She twisted the fabric of his shirt tightly as their tongues danced inside one another's mouths. Kagome was loosing breath fast, as was Inuyasha, but they didn't want to stop. His claws gently tickled Kagome's back as he pressed further on. She nipped at his lower lip as she jumped slightly at the feel of his claws. He smirked against her lips as he felt her shiver from the cold water. The water had gotten drastically higher and Kagome was starting to react to the temperature.
He pulled away reluctantly when he, himself started to feel the effects of the cold water. He gazed into her stormy depths as they bore into his. Her bottom lip started to quiver and he knew that they were going to catch hypothermia if they didn't act fast.
"I think we should go now." He whispered as he grimaced at her beauty. She nodded as her grip loosened drastically on his shirt. Together they both got up, shaking and dripping from head to toe. He grabbed her hand as she started for the doors and looked back at him. He half-expected her to let go and blush but she smiled and squeezed his hand gently.
"Let's go home." She said as she leaned against him gently.

Sesshoumaru grabbed his coat harshly and left the building with no hesitance. His nerves were jumping and all the emotional turmoil he was going through wasn't helping him either. Her smiling, innocent face was all he saw in his mind's eye. He slipped on his Armani coat, oblivious to the figure following only yards behind him in the dark. He briskly walked down the wharf as if it were his catwalk. His left hand reached into his breast pocket of the blazer for his cellular phone when his senses finally alerted him of the shadow lurking behind him.
"Long time no see eh?" The voice arrogantly shot at him. He didn't have to turn around to see with his own to eyes to know who was speaking to him as if he was god.
"Hello, how's the business doing?" He replied with a smirk, clearly mocking the man. A short growl came from behind Sesshoumaru.
"Fuck you Sesshoumaru, fuck you. You know that I'm better than you and your half-witted brother! Without you two dragging me down I've finally made something of myself. I'm the boss this time, no one to order me to do shit. You hear me?" He spat out with anger and hatred towards the demon.
"Seem very confident in your work, don't you?" Sesshoumaru said dryly.
"Laugh all you want playboy, but we'll see whose laughing when I tear that tainted heart of yours out of your pitiful body." Sesshoumaru turned around and glared at the figure lurking in the shadows.
"Mine's not the only one."
"Where's that little bitch of yours? I don't smell her anywhere, she's usually all over you." He said sniffing the air that surrounded Sesshoumaru.
"She's not here." He replied bitterly, not wanting to get into the argument of Rin all over again. He glared coldly at the shadow of the demon.
"No shit sherlock, did she leave you because she wanted to be with a real demon and not some pussy?"
"She's dead."
"What a shame, would've thought that you'd keep her alive a little longer."
"Where's yours fuckbag? Don't smell any whore's that you've been with lately? Going for the men now?" Sesshoumaru snapped in a more Inuyasha-like fashion.
"Screw you bastard. I've got myself a woman, don't you worry. It's only time before she's all mine." He said darkly.
"And whom might you be referring to? Ayame?" He taunted like the demon had only done moments before. "Oh wait, she's dead isn't she? Got killed by a raging youkai while out on the job, too bad."
"Don't you dare bring her into this!" He hissed at him.
"Touched a nerve have I?" He smirked.
"Fuck you."
"I think we've already covered that."
"Do you want me to fucking kill you?"
"I'd like to see you try."

"I think it's this way, unless you know where we're going." Kagome said looking down the hallways where it had branched off. It was a lot colder when they had left the water, and Kagome felt like she was being locked in a giant freezer.
"Yeah, the air is fresher. Let's go." He said sniffing the air. Inuyasha could feel their exit sign was right in front of them, but they just couldn't reach it just yet. He squeezed her cold hand in hopes of warming her up. Her fingertips ran over the back of his hand as they made their way down the hall hoping not to run into anyone. But their hopes were crushed with god's powerful hand of fate when the one scent that he hoped to be rid of came from behind him.
"Kagura…" He hissed as if he were spitting out venom like a cobra. A giggly laugh erupted from the figure clad in black leaning against the wall behind them. He spared a look at Kagome who stared back at him with confused eyes. He turned around making sure that Kagome was safely behind him. The lights flickered as he glared coldly at the woman as if she were a vermin.
"Going somewhere?" She asked as she let out a high laugh. He could feel Kagome attaching herself to the back of his wet shirt. Her eyes peeked over his shoulder to look at the perfectly shaped woman. The first word that came to Kagome's mind was `beautiful'.
"What do you want Kagura." He growled at her, hoping that she wasn't about to start a fight with him. She smirked at him and stepped into the middle of the hallway.
"You know what I want hanyou." She stated simply. He placed a hand on Kagome's leg and slowly pushed her away.
"Stay back Kagome." He whispered as he stepped forward into his defensive stance. She unlatched herself from him and backed off. She started to mildly tremble as she prepared herself for the fight that was about to happen before her very eyes.
"Protecting the girl? How do you know that she isn't what I want?" She asked raising a finely sculpted brow.
"Because if you touch her I'll have your head." He growled viciously at her.
"Oh how cute, vowing vengeance if I try to hurt the girl." She mocked him as she reached behind her to retrieve something. He tensed up as he watched her bring back a very medieval-looking fan.
"Shut up. You wanna fight? Let's fight…I'm tired of listening to you yap about this and that." He growled baring his fangs.
"Oh! Does the wittle doggy want to fight? I'm so scared now." She said giving a half-hearted laugh.
"You should be, cause this dog's got fangs and claws." Inuyasha said as he started for her without as much as a warning. She didn't seem afraid or shocked the least bit as she opened her fan up which hid the ever-growing grin. He paid no heed to the ancient fan as he raised his claws to attack. Before he could even cleave her with his claws she suddenly flicked her fan and wind blades started to shoot towards him. He didn't even have time to jump out of the way when they came towards him.
He fell down to the ground between the two women in a bloody mess. The blades had gotten fairly critical shots at him drawing heaps of blood. Kagome gasped as she saw all the red littering Inuyasha and the floor around him-more than what was covering her currently. She stared at Inuyasha as he pulled himself up weakly. The metallic liquid that had gathered in his mouth was slowly leaking out the corner of his mouth. He spat it out to the side, leaving a small puddle of the dark substance on the floor. He glared darkly at the giggling demon with her godforsaken fan.
"Ready for another round?" She asked as she readied her fan for another strike. He advanced towards her slowly, not aware what he was doing. Kagura looked at him, clearly laughing at his stupidity. She flicked her fan again, not bothering to wait for him to make another lousy attack. To her surprise he dodged each one with efficiency that she thought no one could possess. He continued at her, still traveling at a slow pace. She flicked her fan again, sending out more wind blades towards the stubborn hanyou.
"Is that all you've got bitch?" He asked, as he appeared to be still in his previous condition. She clenched her fists tightly as she watched him get nearer and nearer, wearing her patience with each step.
"Bastard." She whispered under her breath as she drew a fairly large wind blade that took up almost the entire hallway space. There was almost no way for him to dodge it. She stared intensely as she watched the blade fly down to where the hanyou would meet his demise. Her eyes widened as it neared him.
"INUYASHA!" Kagome cried as she saw the large blade of light flash towards him. She closed her eyes as she lay on the floor covering her head. She didn't hear an agonizing scream of pain or a grunt of discomfort. She didn't hear anything until she heard Kagura's angered scream.
"WHY WON'T YOU JUST DIE!" She hollered as she sent more attacks his way, each one being more and more frantic. She didn't know how he had managed to dodge her attacks, but it was only fueling her rage. Her hair was falling out from its place and her face glistened with a thin layer of sweat. Her breathing came out ragged with frustration and her eyes became more dangerous.
"Fuck you." He spat at her as he suddenly appeared before her. At first all she saw were his dangerous gleaming claws as they came down and sliced through her fan, her weapon, and the front of her. She gasped at how close he had gotten without her knowledge. The rest happened all in a blur of light. She felt atrocious pain in her abdomen and her left shoulder felt as if it were disconnected. She stared up at the half-breed standing over her, about ready to rip her heart out.
"What's all the smirking about fucker? You haven't won yet." She grinned at him as she let her gaze drift around her until it landed on the object of her needs. He raised his hand ready to tear her apart when she kicked him painfully in the shins and she rolled away before her hand rested on the sheath of the sword.
He had been momentarily knocked backwards, but it was enough for Kagura to come back into the fight. She was already on her feet with her left arm hanging loosely and almost dead from above. In her right hand was a gleaming and deadly samurai sword ready to slice the head off of an enemy. She glared wildly at him as she breathed in ragged breaths. The sword intimidated him slightly as he looked from her beady eyes to the blade.
This time Kagura didn't wait for him to attack, she wanted to kill him off before she lost all of her sanity. She jumped forward swinging the blade dangerously at Inuyasha, the tip just barely skimming his skin. He took a chance with pain and grabbed the blade when she lowered it to bring back up her momentum. The blade was sharper than he had imagined it to be and had to grind his teeth together to hold in the pain. He could feel the blood trickling down his hand as he pushed it away from her. She was only holding the sword with one hand, but still holding a lot of strength.
"You think that you can win just cause I'm a little handicapped? Think again hanyou." She said as she spun the sword, rolling her wrist in a complete counter-clockwise circle, slicing his arm. He didn't have enough time as the sword was brought backwards and thrust into his stomach. His eyes opened wide and he let out a slight grunt. Kagura beamed at him as he fell onto his knees and with one last look onto the floor with the sword sticking out of his body. Kagura kicked his body before turning towards Kagome.
"Now for you little bitch." She cackled as she advanced towards Kagome on the ground. She started to tremble as Kagura got closer and closer. A wild look on her face told Kagome that she should get up and run, but somehow she was immobilized on the ground. Kagome closed her eyes when Kagura was so close that she could feel the rage radiated off of her. She held her breath and kept screaming the same name inside her head. Inuyasha!
"Now this is the part I've been waiting for. Making you suffer horrendously." Kagura seethed from above her as she drew her foot back to send it sprawling to the defenseless girl's body. She was ready to send it forward when suddenly she froze and slowly her head rolled off of her body and onto the floor. Her body soon followed.
"I think this was the part where I kill you." Inuyasha said as he dropped the sword that had been thrust into his body by his side. Kagome's eyes opened and the sight she saw made her scream bloody-murder. Kagura's head was lying right in front of her seeping blood from the mouth and where she had been decapitated. As if she had just regained movement of her body she launched herself backwards and stared at the corpse. She raised her eyes to a heavily bleeding Inuyasha and her horror quickly dissipated. She scrambled up and raced to his side just as he started to teeter.
"Inuyasha!" She said as she reached him and pushed him up against the wall to help balance. "Oh my god."
"It's nothing, just a little nick." He said trying to wave her off. He tried to get away from the wall, but she pushed him back. She was determined and wasn't about to stop. She lifted his shirt up and gaped at the so-called `nick'. There was a slice in his skin where the blade had entered. Blood was pouring from it insanely and Kagome was afraid that he'd loose too much blood.
"Kagome." He said trying not to show the pain in his voice. "I'm fine." He put a hand on hers that was currently wiping the blood away from his wound. She looked at him, her eyes pleading just to rest, but he ignored it.
"I'm fine." He repeated giving her a reassuring smile. She backed away from him and let him walk forward. He started to walk fine, but then Kagome started to notice the slight unusual limp in his step. She tried to ignore it and the blood but she just couldn't. She knew that they were almost out, but she didn't want him to endanger his life. When they rounded another corner Inuyasha almost fell over and Kagome knew that he wasn't `fine'.
"Inuyasha please don't hurt yourself." She whispered as she grabbed his arm to help him balance. He looked at her eyes and saw sadness for him. He couldn't do this to her anymore, he had to give in and let his pride go. He leaned against the wall and started to sink down to the floor, trying to hurt himself. Kagome followed him down and kneeled by his side. She thanked god for finally getting through his thick skull and started at his wound. She ripped the bottom part of her shirt covering her belly off and used it to stop the bleeding. She pressed hard like she had learnt in first aid and could only feel guilty when he winced at the pressure.
"Does it hurt?" She asked as she wiped hair out of her eyes, smearing more blood on her face. He looked down at her, seeing all the blood, his and Naraku's. He gave her a smirk and knew that he wasn't too weak to still be his usual arrogant self.
"Of course not, I'm not a weakling." He said, earning him a slight pinch on his arm. He raised his hand and pushed the hair behind her ears. A slight light came from the tiny windows above them giving her an angelic look. Even with the blood on her face she still radiated off so much beauty.
"You look beautiful." He whispered as he continued to stare at her face.
"Don't joke around Inuyasha, this is supposed to be serious." She said not looking up from her job. The blood was now smeared up till her elbows.
"I'm not joking around." He said as serious as he could be. She looked up at him, not sure what he was trying to get at. She looked into his eyes and saw that he wasn't joking around at all. His face was calm even though he was bleeding heavily. His eyes displayed many emotions and all involving her. He leaned as far forward as he could and pecked her on the lips.

The two demons watched each other with glowing eyes. Gold fiercely into azure. The two did not speak, an unspoken challenge between the two quickly developing. Sesshoumaru never subjected himself to such childish games, yet he was intensely involved. His cold façade was gone and he was beginning to act foolishly like his fool of a brother. But the odd thing was that he knew it.
"I thought you were about to come and kill me?" Sesshoumaru asked after another moment of silence. He heard the demon scoff.
"You're not worth my time Sesshoumaru." He growled towards him.
"Why do you still linger then?"
"Because you have something that I want."
"What would that be? Everything?" Sesshoumaru smirked slightly before wiping it off his face.
"You hold the lives of people in the palm of your hand, ready to kill them at any waking moment. No matter where I look, it's impossible to find him. And you my friend are the only one who knows well where that bastard is." He said as his anger started to surface. Sesshoumaru raised a brow at this.
"And whom might you be referring to?"
"Your little brother, Inuyasha."
That's the end of chapter 9! School's starting soon so sorry if I don't update as quickly, even though it's the damn writer's block's entire fault! So peace for now.
