Changing the Past ch1

 

 

All the birds went silent as a thunderous sound was made, shaking the ground.

 

“Sit!” Kagome screamed as Inuyasha was forced into the ground.

 

“Damn it wench your NOT going home!” Inuyasha admonished.

 

Kagome was furious, they were fighting again over whether she could go home or not.

`When will he just admit he'll miss me if I go?' She sighed pushing her anger aside.

 

“Inuyasha, I have a test to take, so I'll be back in 2 days, max.”

 

Inuyasha growled. “Wench I said…..” She ignored him and continued to jump into the well.

 

“Bye Inuyasha.” She said as the blue lights of the time slip enveloped her.

She was back in her time. Kagome almost wished she was back in the Feudal Era, with it's clean air, beautiful landscapes…… and Inuyasha…. She blushed. `You got to stop it girl, you've got 2 days here.' She shrugged, as she exited the well house and entered her home… `It doesn't fell like home to me though, at least not anymore.'

 

“Oh Kagome, your back, how long will you be staying this time?” said Kagome's mother.

 

“Only 2 days this time mama.”

 

“Alright then, I'll make you some udon while you take a bath, then you should be getting to bed if you plan on going to school tomorrow ”

 

“Ok, Thank you mama”

 

“Your Welcome Kagome” Kagome's mother smiled as she watched her daughter walk up the stairs. She was already informed by a golden-eyed source about what was to happen the next day.

As Kagome soaked in the warm waters of the bathtub, she contemplated about her life, like she usually did while taking a bath in her time. It had been 4 years since that fateful day she met that gruff, puppy-eared boy, no, man. She had fantasized about him many a time. She was 19, no longer the naive 15 year old girl who fell down a scary well. She had wants, needs, but she wanted him to admit his feelings to her first.

By the time she got out, she was past the stage of pruning. She ate her udon and went to bed, falling into a dreamless sleep.

“BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP”

 

The sound of the alarm clock roused Kagome from her slumber. Slowly she opened her eyes, thinking how nice it would be to wake up in Inuyasha's arms. But alas, she had to go to school today. She got ready for school, but in the back of her mind she wondered, what he was doing….. “URGG!” She growled in frustration. `Think school, think history test! Stay focused!'

School that day was rather uneventful. She did well on her test. She even managed to avoid Eri, Ayumi, and Yuka and their often long winded and annoying interrogations about her love life. `Or lack there of...' She scoffed. As she exited the school she was approached by her friend Michiko.

 

“Hey Kagome!” Michiko shouted as she ran towards Kagome.

 

“Oh, hey Michiko how are you?”

 

“ I'm well how are you holding up?” She gave Kagome a knowing glance.

 

“I..I'm good.” Kagome stuttered. The way Michiko asked her how she was surprised her. `Does she know?' Kagome thought it over.

`Of course not, that would be silly, if not impossible.'

 

Michiko fidgeted, and then proceeded to snap Kagome out of her thoughts.

 

“Hello? Kagome? Hello?” She continued waving her hand in front of Kagome's face.

 

“Oh, sorry, I was in my own little world for a moment” A slight blush tinted Kagome's cheeks, out of embarrassment.

 

Michiko smiled. “Its ok Kags. Now we need to talk. Let's go”

 

“What? Go where?” Kagome uttered.

 

“Your house silly! Now come on we have a lot to talk about when we get there.”
