Chapter 2

Threats

Kagome had woke up to the sound of screaming. At first she thought it was someone around the house doing it but it was the TV. She looked around. Everyone must have fallen asleep during the last movie.

Sango and Miroku were on the floor. Her and Inuyasha were sprawled out on the couch. She got up to turn the movie off but was pulled back on the couch. She looked at the head of the couch. Inuyasha was awake.

"What time is it?" He asked. He rubbed her back.

Kagome looked at the clock. "It's almost eight." She said. She had to clean up the mess before her mom got home, which was in about an hour and a half. She got up once again and started picking up the popcorn that fell on the floor.

"What happened to Sango and Miroku?" He asked. Since he was on the couch he couldn't see them. He was watching Kagome clean up so either way he wouldn't be able to see them.

"They're sleeping on the floor. Can you wake them up while I throw this in the trash?" She walked into the kitchen.

Inuyasha walked over to the sleeping couple and shook them. They wouldn't wake up. "Holy shit Sango Miroku is touching another girl." Inuyasha yelled.

Sango woke up and hit Miroku. "Itai, Sango what did you do that for?" He said waking up. He was rubbing the sore spot on his head.

"Gomen, Inuyasha said you were touching someone." She said.

"I haven't touched anyone but you since we've been going out. Inuyasha that's not a nice way to wake someone up. What time is it?" Miroku asked.

"Almost eight." He said. He saw Kagome walk in the room.

Sango looked at the clock. "I got to get home. I said I'd be home at eight." She was running around trying to find her shoe. "Come on Miroku. Gomen I can't help you clean up Kagome."

"That's ok. Inuyasha will help me." She smiled and handed Sango her shoe.

"What I never said anything like that." Inuyasha said. Kagome glared at him. "All right I'll help."

"See he'll help so don't worry about it." Kagome said. She walked them out the door and locked it. She went back into the living room to clean up. She picked up some soda cans while Inuyasha started throwing away wrappers.

"Why should I help clean up this is women's work." He said. Kagome hit on the back of the head. "Itai, what it's true."

"Fine then you can just go home now." Kagome said.

`Great now she's mad at me. I need to learn to keep my mouth shut.' He walked over to her. "Gomen Kagome." He hugged her from behind. He smiled when she melted in his embrace.

"Come on I need to get this place cleaned up before my mom gets home." She said. She got out of his embrace and picked up some bowls. About five minutes later everything was back in order.

Kagome put the movies Inuyasha rented back in the bag and turned the TV off. "So when do you need to be home?" Kagome asked him.

"Whenever I want." He said. "Sesshomaru's got his girlfriend over so he could care less when I get back."

"Oh that's right Rin is back from her vacation." She said. Inuyasha sat on the couch next to her. He started kissing her neck. Kagome turned her head to give him more access to her neck.

He smiled and pulled her into his lap. He captured her lips in a gentle kiss. He licked her lips for entrance. She opened allowing his tongue into her mouth. She put her arms around his neck.

Inuyasha lowered her onto the couch so she was lying on her back and he was on top of her. He moved so that one of his legs was in between hers and the other was on the other side of her leg. His hand was making its way down to her thigh.

Kagome didn't even notice that his hands were moving. She was too busy enjoying his kisses. She did notice when she felt the breeze on her thighs. Her dress reached down to her knees so it wasn't right. She pulled away from the kiss and pushed Inuyasha over the side of the couch.

"Oi, what did you do that for?" He asked. She gave him a knowing glare. She sat up and fixed her dress. He got up and sat next to her on the couch. "Fine I'll stop."

She smiled at him. She knew he would never force himself on her. "You should get going soon. I have to pick Souta up in a couple of minutes." She said.

"How about we both go get him? We'll take my car and I'll drop you both off back here." He said. He knew Souta would be happy. Inuyasha was his hero.

"Ok. I'll call Souta's friends house and tell them we're coming." She walked into the kitchen to use the phone.

Inuyasha leaned back. `Damn I was close.' He thought. Kagome walked back in the living room with her jacket on. He got up and they both walked to his car. He only wanted to pick up Souta so he could spend more time with Kagome.

They got to Souta's friends house and knocked on the door. "Ah Kagome you're here. It's nice to see you again Inuyasha. Souta your sister and Inuyasha are here." Ms. Matoh said.

"Arigato for having Souta over." Kagome said.

"Anytime. Oh could you tell your mother I'll call her tomorrow so we can set up their next play date."

"Hai, I will." Kagome said. She saw Souta run down the stairs with his stuff. He gave Kagome a quick hug then jumped on Inuyasha.

"Inuyasha you came to pick me up." Souta said. "Bye, thanks for having me over." He waved to his friend. They all walked to Inuyasha's car. Souta sat in the back and asked Inuyasha a whole bunch of questions.

"Slow down Souta. You act like this is the first time you've seen him in ten years." She said. The last time they saw each other was about four days ago. Her brother got so excited some times.

Inuyasha dropped them off at their house. Kagome gave him a quick peck on the lips. Inuyasha was kind of disappointed but what could you do? Souta was standing right there.

"I'll see tomorrow." He said and drove off. He was going home. He hoped Rin wasn't there anymore. He didn't want to interrupt his brother and girlfriend.

Inuyasha lived alone with his half brother Sesshomaru. Both their mom's died giving birth. Their dad died of some disease. They were left a lot of money. Although they didn't show it they were rich.

It was one of the reasons Kikyo was after him. Somehow she found out about the money. No one knew but his close friends. Kagome hadn't known until after they had gone out for at least six months. She didn't care. She still tried to pay for some things when they went out.

That's what he liked about her. She was a carefree person. She didn't care about his money or blood. Since he was a hanyou not too many people liked him. That's why he stuck with his friends. They didn't care either.

He parked his car and walked into the house. He went through the living room to see Sesshomaru and his girlfriend on the couch. "Get a room." He yelled and walked to his room.

He changed out of his clothes and laid down on his bed. He turned on the radio and went to sleep.

The next day everyone arrived at school a little earlier than usual. Everyone had gone to bed early that night. They went to the big tree in the front to sit down. They talked about what they were going to do that weekend.

"How about we go out to a dance club?" Sango said.

"Yeah we haven't gone dancing in a while." Kagome said. The guys grinned. They would never turn down a night of dancing with the girls. "I'll be back I need to get something out of my locker."

Kagome walked away from her friends to her locker. As soon as she got the thing she needed she shut her locker. She jumped a little when she saw Naraku standing in front of her. "Did you need something Naraku?" She asked.

"I was just wondering if you've left that dog yet?" He said. He stepped closer to her.

Kagome took a step back. "No I haven't and he's not a dog." She was about to walk away when he slammed her against the lockers. Kagome struggled to get away.

"You should. I can treat you better." He kissed her.

Kagome tried getting away. He had her hands pinned against the lockers. She tried kicking him but he was too close to her. Then he was pulled away from her. She looked up. It was Inuyasha. She ran to him.

"What the fuck are you doing Naraku?" He yelled. He held Kagome close to him.

"I'm merely showing my affections toward Kagome. One of these days you won't be there to protect her. When that day comes she'll be mine." Naraku walked away.

"Are you ok Kagome? What did he do? Did he touch you?" He asked.

"I'm fine. He only kissed me and no he didn't touch me." Kagome said. She thought Naraku was creepy before but now he was dangerous too.

"That fucker has a lot of nerve to do that. He's dead." Inuyasha growled. He never thought Naraku would do something like that. Now he was threatening Kagome.

They were going to have to talk to Sango and Miroku about this. Kagome was in danger. Inuyasha saw the look in his eyes before he left.
