Chapter 12

Inuyasha's Car

The next day Kagome got up for school. She felt a lot better thanks to Inuyasha. She jumped in the shower and then got dressed. She walked downstairs for breakfast.

"Oh Kagome you're feeling good enough to go to school?" Ms. Higurashi asked.

"Hai, I feel fine." Kagome said.

"That's good." She said. "Thank Inuyasha for me."

"Hai, I will."

When she was done eating she grabbed her bag and waited on the shrine steps for Inuyasha. She should do something nice for him. He did take care of her all day. What could she do?

Her train of thought was broken when Inuyasha honked the horn. Kagome jumped a little but got in the car. "Are you feeling better?" Inuyasha asked. He put his hand on her forehead.

"Hai, I feel fine." Kagome said. She hit his hand. "Mom says thanks."

"Tell her she's welcome later." Inuyasha said. He leaned over to kiss her.

"You could still get sick." Kagome said. She put a hand over his mouth.

"Youkai don't get sick." Inuyasha mumbled from behind her hand. He licked her hand and she pulled it away.

"Why did you…" Kagome started saying but Inuyasha kissed her before she could finish.

"Now I can start my day." Inuyasha said. He started the car and drove to school.

"Jerk." Kagome said. When they got to school Kagome ran up to Sango.

"Where were you yesterday?" Sango asked.

"I was sick." Kagome said.

"Oh I hope you feel better." Sango said.

"I feel fine or I wouldn't have come." Kagome said.

"That's true." Sango said. "Don't worry you didn't miss anything during school."

"Oh good I would hate to have had to miss something important." Kagome said.

"Oi, if you girls would've stopped blabbing you would have heard the bell ring." Inuyasha said.

"The bell rang?" Kagome said.

"Hai, it did." Miroku said. "I suggest we hurry before we're late." They all went to class and made it just in time for the bell.

As usual nothing interesting happened during school. Lunch was boring too. Inuyasha and Kagome were walking to his car but found it to be trashed. The windows were broken and the hood and doors looked like they were bashed with a bat or something.

"Who the fuck did this?" Inuyasha yelled.

"Inuyasha there's a note by the wheel." Kagome said. He picked it up and read it. "What does it say?"

"The battle has begun." Inuyasha said.

"You'd think people could come up with better sayings." Kagome said. Inuyasha glared at her.

"This is about my car not how original people can get." Inuyasha yelled.

"Well sorry." Kagome said and started walking home.

"Where are you going?" Inuyasha said.

"I'm going home."

"How are you going to get there?"

"I'm going to walk baka."

"No you're not get back here."

"No."

Inuyasha growled and picked her up and threw her over her shoulder. "You're not walking alone."

"How else do you expect me to get home?" Kagome said.

"I'll walk you as soon as I call a tow truck." Inuyasha said.

"I need to go home now. It will take longer to get home if I have to wait for you to call a tow truck." Kagome said.

"Fine I'll call a tow truck from your house." Inuyasha said. He started walking towards her house.

"Inuyasha you can put me down you know." Kagome said still over his shoulder.

"Oh yeah." He said. He let her down gently and they started walking again.

After a long walk Kagome opened the door to her house. She grabbed the phone and handed it to Inuyasha. "Here you can call a tow truck." She said. She walked over to the couch and laid down.

Inuyasha called the tow truck company. Now he was going to have to buy a new car. He hated having to talk to salesmen. They were boring and made no sense. It took forever to get the contracts signed. Maybe he could get Sesshomaru to do it.

Inuyasha sat down against the couch Kagome was laying on. He sighed. "Who do you think did that to your car?" Kagome asked.

"I don't know." Inuyasha said. Kagome reached a hand towards his ear and rubbed it. He tilted his head toward her hand and growled in content. He'd forgotten all about his car as soon as she touched him.

Inuyasha growled louder. He grabbed her hand and pulled her down next to him. She let out a shriek of surprise. He laid her down and leaned over her. He looked at her before he claimed her lips.

Kagome gasped in surprise as everything happened quickly. Inuyasha took advantage of her shock and explored her mouth. His hands roamed her body before one hand stopped just below her breast and the other rested on her waist.

When she made no movement to stop him he moved his hand upwards and cupped her breast. She arched her back into his touch. Inuyasha smirked as she slowly gave into him.

Suddenly Kagome pushed him off of her and sat up. "I forgot I'm supposed to meditate daily." She yelled and ran up to her room.

"I was so close too." Inuyasha said before heading towards her room. When he got there he saw her cross-legged on the floor. "What are you doing?"

"I'm meditating." Kagome said not moving.

"Why?"

"I have to do it to keep my miko powers active." Kagome said trying to think of the best way to explain it.

"How long do you have to do it for?"

"An hour a day." Kagome said.

"You didn't do it yesterday."

"That's because I was sick. If you keep talking to me it'll take longer. Why don't you just go home? I don't think you want to watch."

"I'll just wait." Inuyasha said. He laid down on her bed. He soon fell asleep.

An hour later Kagome stopped meditating. She saw Inuyasha asleep on her bed and let him be. She laid down on the ground and stretched the kinks out of her neck. Sitting for a long amount of time without moving was a pain on her neck and back.

She got up to look at her clock near her bed. It was almost time for her mom to get home. She screamed when Inuyasha grabbed her arm and pulled her onto the bed with him. "I hate it when you do stuff like that." Kagome said.

"That's why I do it." Inuyasha said.

"Jerk." Kagome said. "What are you going to do about your car?"

"I'll buy another one later." He smiled when Kagome leaned her head on his shoulder.

"I guess I'll be driving to school for a while ne." Kagome said.

"I'll borrow one of Sesshomaru's cars." Inuyasha said.

"Will he let you?" Kagome asked.

"Probably not. I'll just take one." Inuyasha said.

"How many cars does he have?" Kagome asked.

"I think two or three." Inuyasha said.

"That's too many for one person don't you think?"

"They aren't mine." Inuyasha said. "I think he has too many but he never listens to me."

"You're brother is weird." Kagome said.

"I already know that." Inuyasha said. He moved and laid his head on Kagome's chest.

Kagome blushed but didn't protest. "Do you think you'll find out who did it?"

"To hell if I know." Inuyasha said.

They laid on the bed in silence just enjoying each other's company. Then Kagome heard her mom talking to Souta. Kagome jumped up which caused Inuyasha to fall off the bed.

"Kagome." Ms. Higurashi called from downstairs.

"Hai." Kagome said.

"Can you come help out down here?" She asked.

"Hai." Kagome said. When she got off her bed she stepped on Inuyasha. "Gomen." She ran downstairs.

"That's twice I've been pushed today." Inuyasha said still on the floor. "She says she hates it when I push her. At least I try to be gentle." He got up and walked downstairs.
