Chapter 17

Blackmail

Kagome had just gotten out of school. She promised Inuyasha that she'd spend the day with him. He whined about her spending too much time with Shippo and not enough with him. So to shut him up she agreed to spend the day with him.

She had to wait for Inuyasha in the parking lot. She had gotten a ride to school from her mom because she wanted to drive Shippo to school. Shippo wouldn't go unless Kagome went with him.

Inuyasha was upset when she had called him at home telling him that she didn't need a ride. That was when she agreed to go with him. Shippo would go with Souta to a soccer game so she didn't need to be at home after school.

Kagome sat on the curb. Inuyasha was taking a long time at his locker. She screamed when someone tapped her on the shoulder. She had been lost in thought when the person managed to sneak up on her.

Kagome stood up and turned around to see Kouga standing there. "Gomen I didn't mean to scare you." He said.

"It's ok I'm the one who let my guard down." Kagome said. "Was there something that you needed?" She asked.

"Not really I just wanted to see how you were doing. I haven't gotten a chance to talk to you for a while." Kouga said.

"Oh I'm fine." Kagome said.

"Well I better get going I need to get changed for practice. Ja ne." He said while running towards the locker rooms. He needed to get changed for track. (Sorry if it's not the season for track or whatever. I don't know a thing about track. I hate running.)

`He's being nicer than usual.' Kagome thought.

"Oi."

Kagome jumped and turned around. "What's with everyone scaring me today?"

"I can't help if you're scared." Inuyasha said. "Come on let's go."

"Where are we going?" Kagome asked.

"You'll find out." Inuyasha said.

"I don't like how you keep everything a secret." Kagome said. "I'm not getting in your car until you tell me."

"Who said I have a car?" Inuyasha said.

"Nani?" Kagome said. They walked to the back of the school parking lot. The only vehicle parked there was a motorcycle. She did not like how this was turning out. "That's yours?"

"Hai, get on." Inuyasha said. He handed her a helmet.

"I'm not getting on that thing." Kagome said. "Those things are dangerous."

"Their not dangerous the drivers are and I'm a safe driver." Inuyasha said.

"No you're not." Kagome said. "You have enough speeding tickets to prove that."

"Well I'll be careful." Inuyasha said. "Get on."

"No." Kagome said as she crossed her arms.

"Fine." Inuyasha said. He grabbed the helmet that was meant for her and walked over to her. He put it on her head and strapped it on. He picked her up and sat her on the motorcycle. And before she could get off he jumped on and wrapped her arms around his waist. "I'd hold on if I were you."

Kagome held on knowing there was no way she was going to get off now. She pressed her face against Inuyasha's back as he took off. Her eyes were shut tight. She refused to open her eyes and risk falling off.

Inuyasha stopped in front of her house. "Kagome we're here you can let go now." He said.

Kagome opened her eyes and let go of Inuyasha slowly. She shakily got off and handed him back the helmet. "You jerk." She yelled.

Inuyasha smirked before picking her up bridal style and leapt up the shrine steps in a matter of seconds. He jumped up to her bedroom window and opened it knowing she never locked it.

Kagome shrieked when he had jumped up the stairs not knowing what he was going to do. When he set her down on her bed she was going to yell at him.

Inuyasha saw her mouth open and kissed her before she could scream at him. He'd missed the feel of her lips. Since Shippo wouldn't leave Kagome's side he rarely got the chance to kiss her. It was not something he'd want to do in front of little kids, especially a biter like Shippo.

Kagome wrapped her arms around his neck also missing the feel of his lips. He laid her back down on the bed and crawled on top of her. He smirked when she made no movement to stop him.

She did the very opposite and encouraged him by rubbing the base of his ears. He growled and kissed her neck. She gasped as he cupped her breast. Inuyasha took this as a good sign and was about to lift her shirt over her head when he heard a growl.

They both stopped and looked at the door. Souta had a big smile on his face while Shippo growled. Inuyasha got off of Kagome. "Can't you ever knock?" Kagome yelled while fixing her shirt and hair.

"Why? You're not supposed to be doing things like that." Souta grinned. He knew he had them in a corner.

"Aren't you supposed to be at a soccer game?" Kagome asked.

"Nope the other side had to cancel so the game is rescheduled for tomorrow." Souta said.

"We're going to watch movies and play video games." Shippo said. He kept glaring at Inuyasha.

"Well we're about to leave." Kagome said.

"That would be a good idea to leave while I tell mom. Wouldn't want you to be home." Souta said.

"What do you want this time?" Kagome asked.

"You two treat us to a whole day of whatever we want to do." Souta said.

"Hai and you have to buy us what we want." Shippo said.

"You're in on this too Shippo?" Kagome said.

"Hai, Souta said you both get caught like this all the time so we should make the best of it." Shippo said.

"Fine it's Inuyasha's treat then." Kagome said.

"Oi, why do I always get sucked into this?" Inuyasha said.

"Because you always start it." Kagome said.

"How about Saturday?" Souta asked. "We don't have practice or a game that day."

"Fine." Kagome said.

"We'll be downstairs." Shippo said. He ran up to Kagome and gave her a hug. He jumped out of her arms and kicked Inuyasha in the head.

"Oi." Inuyasha said.

"Leave him alone Inuyasha. Don't you think you've gotten us into enough trouble already?" Kagome said.

"At least you don't have to pay for everything." He said.

Kagome sighed and pushed him out of her room. "I'm going to change and don't try to come in I'm locking my door and my window." She said.

Inuyasha put on an innocent look. "You think I'm that perverted?"

"Hai." Kagome said and shut her door.

"You're right." Inuyasha said. He was disappointed that Souta and Shippo had ruined everything. Well he was more pissed than disappointed. They ruined the moment and he has to take them out on Saturday. This was the second time Souta blackmailed them like that and now Shippo was joining in.

He hadn't even been there for a week and he was already acting like he was born into the family. It was probably a good thing considering his parents. He couldn't help it if he took to Kagome so fast.

"I'm ready." Kagome said. She opened the door and stepped out. "We're taking my car. I'm not riding on that thing with you again."

"We'll ride the motorcycle to my house and change vehicles." Inuyasha said. They were walking outside to the shrine steps.

"I can't ride that thing." Kagome said.

"Why not?" Inuyasha said. "I didn't crash or anything."

"If you couldn't tell I'm wearing a skirt." Kagome said. "I don't want it flying up while I'm on that thing. And I don't want to ride it.

"You shouldn't wear skirts all the time Kagome." Inuyasha said.

"Fine I won't even bother to look nice on our dates anymore." Kagome said. She crossed her arms and turned around facing away from him.

"That's not what I meant." Inuyasha said. "Here."

He handed her his coat. "What's this for?"

"The coat is heavy and should keep your skirt from going up." Inuyasha said. "And if it goes up and anyone sees I'll kill them."

"I don't want to ride it." Kagome said.

`Damn her stubbornness.' He thought. "Come on you owe me."

"I owe you?" Kagome yelled. "Who just got us blackmailed? AGAIN!"

"That's not what I meant." Inuyasha said. "Come on all you have to do is run around with us. I'm paying for everything."

He handed her the helmet. "Fine this is the last time." Kagome said. She took the helmet and strapped it on. She put Inuyasha's coat on and swung her leg over the side. Then she hit Inuyasha for looking.

He got on and started the motorcycle. "I doubt this will be your last time riding Kagome." He said.

"Huh?" Kagome asked. She grabbed him tight when he took off without warning. Once again she pressed her face against his back.
