I rose out of the chaos
bloody, beaten, and bruised
to fall at your feet
all my strenght had been used

you looked away
your eyes beggining to tear
then dropped to your knees
and cried out in fear

you caressed me gently
you lifted my head
you ignored my pale face
you ignored that i was dead

until you looked into my emotionless eyes
then you understood
the comfort you provided me
was doing me no good

I strained to tell you
i strained to breathe
then i used my remaining stength
to tell you not to leave

I heard your silent breathing
and knew that you were there
your tears fell on my cheek
you ran your soft fingers through my hair

I leaned against your fragile heart
and heard it skip
closed my eyes tightly
and in your arms went limp

you yell out in anger
i had left you alone
you know my life has left
because it was the base of your own

your muffled cries rise
as our day fades to your night
i've slipped away and have left forever
even though you hold me tight

i left you without saying i love you
so you would learn to live
so you would not hold on to my memory
so you would still have love to give

so you would not remember the pain
so you would think i left in peace
so you could learn to walk alone
so you could rise from your knee's
and forget our chaotic romance
