Early in the morning on the fourth day, Kagome woke up with a start. "Sayuri. Oh, Sayuri. I hope you are well." Looking
beside her, she saw Sesshomaru was already up. "Mikoi. Akekiyo."
"Good morning, Lady Kagome. What will you wear today?" asked the black-robed female bird youkai. She was from the
Red-winged Blackbird clan. Though not very likable to most, she and her lady had hit it right off. Now the youkai female
obeyed her without question.
Kagome quickly donned the miko garments her sister had lent her. She feared for her. The dream was still very real. Very
fresh in her mind. This time she knew whom she saw. Her hair done, Kagome dismissed the two and headed to the study where
she knew Sesshomaru was.
Sesshomaru looked up when the door to his study was pushed open. He instantly knew something was wrong. "Mate? Mate, what
is it?"
"I remembered. Her name is Sayuri and she is my soul twin."
Sesshomaru stepped over the the small bell used to summon servants. He rang it and within minutes, Jaken appeared. "My
lord, you summoned me?" asked the toad demon. His lord answered, "Yes, Jaken. I want you to summon my father and my twin. Then
take Rin into the garden. Stay there with her and a few guards until I return. Also summon the captain."
Jaken quickly moved to obey. He knew his lord was wise. He found Lord Taisho in the dojo, sparring with none other than
Lord Zephimaru. They were being watched by the captain who apparently would fight the winner. "My lords. My lords,"
squawked the kappa.
"Hold. Yes, Jaken?" said Lord Taisho. He had picked this creature of his heir's retainer since the kappa made a very able
one. Since his resurrection though, he had found out that in some areas the kappa was not all he seemed to be. He had heard
Jaken berate Rin and then speak harshly to Kagome all the while fawning on Sesshomaru. It sickened him quite frankly.
"Lord Sesshomaru asked that you three come to the study. He and the human miko are there."
Taisho growled at this. He grabbed the back of the kappa's garment and brought him up to eyelevel. "You speak of Kagome
like that again and I will make you into a purse for her. Then I will find my son a better suited retainer. Do you
understand?"
Gulping, Jaken nodded. He landed on his head. Once his head stopped spinning, he rose to complete his lord's orders.
Inu no taisho, Zephimaru and the captain arrived at the study. "Son. Lady Kagome. You look well this morning. Daughter,
what troubles you?"
Kagome took a calming breath followed by two deep ones and then a shallow one. "Zephimaru, yesterday you told us of
someone lying behind a barrier not far from here."
"I recall. You said then that you knew who she was, but that the name would not come to you," said Zephimaru.
"Yes. Early this morning, Midoriko came to me in a dream. She said to me, "The third day has passed. Now you must go
render aid to her. The blocking spell is broken." As she faded, the name came to me. The young woman you saw is called
Daiyo Sayuri. She is my soul twin."
"What did Midoriko mean, "The third day is passed" and "the blocking spell is broken?" asked Sesshomaru.
"When Sayuri sent me to you, she told me I would not remember her name. She promised she would come in three days," answered
Kagome. She wrapped her arms around her mate and trembled as he held her. "Please, Sesshomaru. We have to go help her. I
want to hold my soul twin's hand."
Sesshomaru looked at his father who nodded.
In an hour, the four who made up the Western Lord's family were headed out. They had with them seven guards and the
two-headed dragon with them. This still meant that Rin and the castle was well-guarded.
On reaching the clearing, the group stopped.
A barrier of rose pink energy covered the very middle of the area. Around it sat 10 male demons.
Inutaisho growled and spread his aura over the area. He was pleased when the ten acknowledged he was superior. He was not
happy when they remained where they were. Since they were no threat, he ignored them in favor of approaching the barrier.
Extending a hand, he placed it on the barrier. Whatever he expected to happen, it did not. The instant he had his fingers
spread the barrier thrummed but held firm. Not upset, he calmly said, "Kagome." Then he stepped to the side.
