Sayuri handed him his swords and then drawing on her reserve of healing chakra, she healed the burn.
Kohaku ran to her and asked, "Sayuri-tenshihime, will you teach me to fight like that?"
"We will hae to see, Kamioi. It takes a great deal of chakra to fight like that. I have abnormally large reserves and you
may not be able to make any," answered Sayuri. She lowered herself to the floor of the topless dojo.
Inutaisho did not know what to say. He knew his pup was fine and that Kagome was tending him. He looked at his newest pup
and saw she was holding the infant girl she had returned with. He saw again the mothering heart that she possessed. He
walked closer and said, "That was well-done, daughter."
"Doma arigato, Taisho-tou," answered Sayuri. "Kagura, hold Kanna for me, please?"
"Hai, Sayuri-obahime." The wind witch gently held the infant in her arms.
Sayuri stood and dispelled a clone. The orange that had surrounded its eyes now surrounded hers. Opening them, she brought
her hands together and then summoned forth Earth and water. She then said, "Mokuton: dojo rebuild."
Again everyone was amazed as the damaged dojo was pushed away and a new one rebuilt in its place.
An hour later, the group gathered in the bottom level of the main building. It was time for the evening meal. They were
watching as the final cources were being laid out before them.
Taisho noted the look on her eyes. He asked, "Sayuri, is something wrong?"
"I hae no idea what food is before me," Sayuri replied. Stopping a servant, she inquired as to the names of the food
before her. She listened intently as the servant answered her. Then she said, "Put a bite of each on my plate. I want to
try everything. I hae never had any of this."
Sesshomaru asked for the cook to be summoned. Then he asked, "Tell me about chakra. What is it?"
"Chakra is spiritual and physical energy combined together," Sayuri replied. She took half a bite and then quickly spit it
back on her plate. She picked up her cup and drank it down in one gulp. She ran from there and found a place to empty her
stomach.
The family was speechless. They waited for her to return.
Sayuri groaned. She knew the cooks had worked hard on the food. She simply could not eat it. She returned to the building
and retook her cushion seat.
"What happened?" asked Kagura.
"I apologize. I cannae eat any meat right now. I just hae to avoid it for a bit."
"You ate meat this morning and last night," said Zephimaru.
Nodding, Sayuri said, "I needed energy. It was used up. This time was different."
The cook entered then and her lord's orders were heard. The graceful ari youkai turned to look at the lady in question.
She then did something she had never done. She slowly spread her aura so it surrounded the new lady's sister.
Sayuri closed her eyes and let the youkai cloud wrap around her.
The cook withdrew her aura after a minute. Then she asked, "What can you eat?"
"I normally ate ramen, wild rice cakes and berries."
"So little. Would you learn to eat meat, cheese, fruit, stew and porridge?"
"Hai."
"Good. I have some herbs that will help your system grow used to eating them. When pregnant, we will feed you several
small meals a day. That way it ensures the growing pups get their nutrition and you as well."
Sayuri nodded.
After the left, Zephimaru looked up to see the maid Risaki enter with a fussy baby girl. He chuckled. "She hungers too?" A
question came to him then and he turned his head to ask it. It was then he saw that Sayuri had already risen to take the
child in her arms. She stood facing the east side of the building. What was most odd was that the youkai could clearly
hear sounds of the babe suckling.
Taisho asked, "How can you?"
"To give Kanna the new life, I had to rebirth her," replied Sayuri. "Without the Shikon, it was a bit different. Now
Kanna is no longer the void daughter of Naraku. She is my child, my little girl. As will the pups I physically bear."
She fell silent for a moment as she burped the infant who was done nursing. Her kimono in place, she turned toward the
group. Kneeling on her cushion, she looked to Taisho and said, "Soon I will go to the future. First, I will punish the
three. Then I will rest and recover before going to visit Kagome's family." Looking to Sesshomaru, she inquired, "Lord
brother, might there be anyway ye would allow Kagome to visit with her family? To let them know how she is."
Sesshomaru stilled. Slowly, he lifted red eyes to the face of his mate's soul twin. He caught the others off-guard by
answering in the Inu language. To his right, Taisho shook his head. Turning to face his adopted daughter, he opened his
mouth to translate when the contemplative look on her face stopped him.
Sayuri had indeed heard and understood Sesshomaru. She was thinking about her answer very carefully. Then she gave her
answer.
Sesshomaru cocked his head and then asked,"How do you know our tongue?"
"True Form knows your language. He taught me. We didnae just have sex that whole time."
"Okay, okay. Hold on, Sayuri," said Kagome. When her sister faced her, she asked, "How is it that you are a virgin and
yet, are expecting at the same time?"
"Inuyasha raped me, thinking I was you. The fact that I was willing to sacrifice for you let Kami decide to override the
natural and restore my virginity. My pregnancy is no normal thing. I was just entering my human heat when my miko heat
kicked in also. That coupled with True Form's potent seed mixed with Inuyasha's, I was impregnated."
"Filthy hanyous," growled Sesshomaru.
A chilling silence fell. Feeling a glare directed at him, Sesshomaru looked up. He came face-to-face with a red-eyed,
youkai-cloaked Sayuri.
Kagome gulped and moved her hand slightly.
Sayuri glared at the lord. "I care not what your station is. You call my children filthy hanyous again and I will keep
you from having an heir. My children will not be hanyou. They will not be full Inu either. You will not have to worry
about them destroying life. Is that understood?'
"Yes. I understand."
Sayuri released her fox cloak and said, "Kagura, Kohaku. Kanna will sleep with me tonight. We will be in the healer's
quarters if needed." Turning to Taisho, she said, "Taisho-tou, tomorrow the punishments will be dealt. Good night." With
that, she went to bed. A deep sleep drew her under quickly.
Kohaku ran to her and asked, "Sayuri-tenshihime, will you teach me to fight like that?"
"We will hae to see, Kamioi. It takes a great deal of chakra to fight like that. I have abnormally large reserves and you
