Toga carried Aislin to the water's edge and set her down. Upon closer inspection she seemed younger than he'd first thought. "How old are you?" he asked as he tore a clean strip from her underskirt, dipping it in water. Aislin listened to the soothing timbre of his voice, "I just turned ten and four" she told him.

Fourteen years old. While the world said she was in fact a woman, his senses told him that wasn't so. He cleaned her cuts and scratches, none of them deep. "What were you doing out here? Did those men bring you here?" he asked and she shook her head, "I come here every day" she replied.

The tactician in him understood that the men had probably watched her and waited. Planned to attack her. Aislin leaned back against a tree, "I don't know how they managed to sneak up on me" she told him. He quirked a brow at her, "Maybe because you can't see" he told her. Her brow furrowed a moment later. "Yes, but I know things, I usually feel when bad people come into the forest".

He looked up from his task of cleaning his sword, "How do you know?" he asked. She shrugged, "The trees tell me" she answered happily, "Thank you Lord Toga for helping me. As thanks will you have dinner with me?" she asked. Toga had no desire to stay around a blind human child who thought she could talk to trees, but he couldn't justify leaving here.

"I will see you home" he said in a bland voice. Once her family saw him, they would know that he was not human that would cause problems. She nodded and rose to her feet, "Tell me where I am" she asked him. Toga glanced around, "The east side of the little lake". She nodded and set off, her feet nimbly avoiding rocks as she went.

Toga merely followed. She did seem to know where she was going and every now and then she'd pause and listen and then make a small direction change. Shortly after, a small cottage came into view at the edge of the forest. Toga waited for her male relatives to pour out but no one came, save a fat black cat.

Toga sniffed, no, no people. Only her and that beast of a feline that kept staring at him. "That's Whump" she announced when the cat let out a low yowl. Whump, what an odd name, but then the cat leapt onto a stump near the door and Toga saw where it came from. Fat thing.

Toga peered inside the hut, it was neat and tidy and very lived in. "Where is your family?" he asked her. Aislin breezed past him and into the cottage. She paused at the door and then stepped directly to the hearth, stirring the banked embers to life.

"I have no family. Not anymore." She told him, her voice slightly sad. Toga looked around, "You must have help" he told her. She nodded as the fire sprang to life, "I do , I have Whump". Toga eyed the cat once more, maybe she was simpleminded. "And what does that fat creature do to help?" he asked. Aislin bristled, "He's not fat! He's wonderful" she told him. Anger lacing her words.

Toga was unimpressed, "How does he help?" Aislin reached down by her leg and the cat trotted over to bump against her hand, "He hunts" she said simply, "For both of us". Toga held onto his patience. How in the seven hells had he gotten himself stuck in the house of a mad mortal girl and her monster of a pet?

"Whump. I'm sorry but we'll need at least three tonight" she told the cat. The cat sniffed at the dog demon before bolting out the door and into the forest. Toga watched him go with a small amount of interest. "You cannot do this alone" he told her. Aislin shrugged, "I can and I do".

Toga Keh'd. Where were the people? As if reading his thoughts Aislin spoke, "It is five hundred and sixteen steps to the village from my garden. It is one hundred and twenty two to the cave where I store supplies for winters. It is three hundred and one steps to the bank where we sat" she told him, "I am well aware of my world Lord Toga".

Toga sat in silence, watching the girl move around. She moved unerringly to the cabinet where she collected potatoes and then set them on the small table. He watched through the window as she counted her way to her garden and brought back an armful of other vegetables.

When she began to cut them, he almost stopped her. She came close to her flesh but never touched it. Apparently, she'd lived here alone for a long time. "Have you ever been bothered before?" he asked her. She shook her head, "No. But granny Sara died a few months ago. I suppose that's why they have started coming into the forest" she told him.

He listened to her and from what he gathered this granny Sara had been the village elder and warned others to leave Aislin be. With her gone, the less than honorable men in the area came to call. So far Aislin had been spared but today she would not have been.

Later that night a flare of youki caught his attention and he looked up to see the tiny ice demon Ippiku. "Took you long enough" Toga growled. Ippiku bowed his apologies. "What are you doing here Toga-Sama?" he asked. The stoic demon glanced toward the cottage, "Looking after a mortal girl". Ippiku frowned, his lord and companion was not cruel but he wasn't the image of a caring individual either.

Whump returned some time later. One by one he dragged plump rabbits from the underbrush. Toga was impressed, but said nothing as he used his claws to gut and skin the creatures. Ippiku frowned at the cat, before flittering down on tiny gossamer wings to hover above him.

Whump was apparently not impressed by the little demon and took a swipe. Ippiku managed to escape unscathed, "He's not a cat" Ippiku announced. Toga grunted, "So you 've noticed. What is he then?" Ippiku studied the cat, "That is one of the nature sprites, but he is waning". Toga glanced at the cat and nodded. Yes, he felt that much.

He strode to the cottage and ducked inside. Aislin stilled and then smiled, "It's you. I'd thought you'd gone" she told him. He handed her the rabbits and she thanked him as she set about neatly carving them up for the stew. She didn't talk much, but then neither did he. He was content to sit and watch and she was content to go about her tasks. Ippiku made himself known that night and the girl chatted with him for a while before she headed off to sleep.

Toga remained near the cottage for three days, keeping watch over the lonely human who lived in a world of darkness. He'd caught a few others trying to get close to the cottage but they were dealt with. Who would guard her when he was gone? Ippiku seemed to take a liking to her, and she was more than willing to listen to his stories of their adventures. He gave her no hint that they were not human like she was and perhaps that was for the best.

He made his decision the morning of his departure. No man or demon of any worth would leave her to an unhappy fate. "Aislin, what keeps you here?" he asked her as he saddled the oni horse. She shrugged, "Nothing really. I have no other destination. I know this place and so I stay". Ippiku shook his little head from Toga's shoulder.
"You may come with me if you like" he offered. She blushed, "No, I can't. That's not right" she told him. He arched a brow, "How is that?" he asked her. She spread her arms wide, "This is home, where I am no trouble to anyone else. Home is where I am free" she told him, sadly.

He snorted, "Home is where you've shackled yourself. Aislin if you stay here you will die. Come with me to the northern palace and make that your home if you like. I will protect you for as long as our road is the same" he promised the child.

It took some convincing but he finally persuaded her. An hour later, she'd bid farewell to Whump who was now free to go home to his own people. Toga settled her behind him on the oni horse, "My mount is very fast so you must hold tightly" he told her. She nodded. He didn't bother to tell her that his mount flew. People in this land were superstitious and he wanted to keep his nature from her.

With the reins wrapped around one hand, and an arm behind him to brace her, he gave the command and the oni rose into the air. As they flew, she held tightly as he had ordered. Ippiku chattering away to her. Toga looked at his companions and nearly groaned. He'd just become his father.

For months they traveled and they fell into a routine of sorts. Toga would scout the area and then set up camp. Ippiku remained with Aislin when the dog demon hunted and Aislin cooked their meals. Aislin would bathe and Toga would keep watch over the area with his youki. Most nights, she curled just an arm's length away from him, preferring the soothing presence he seemed to provide. He became very protective of her, but that was nature. She was pack now.

The girl was very intelligent and had a temper to rival his mother's. He found himself slowly engaging her in talks more often as they traveled. It was clear that she, like him had been alone for a very long time. She'd sometimes tell him what she could recall of her family before they'd died or left her. He would tell her of his own family. His mother and father were lord and lady of the west and he was lord of the north. He began to teach her his language and now she was often able to converse with him in it.

As they traveled she would often ask about the places they passed through. Toga had learned then that she'd not been born blind but had become blind after a severe fever as a child. She recalled colors and what things looked liked and if Ippiku spoke in detail she could almost see it. The little ice demon didn't mind and would use as many descriptive words for her as he could. Toga soon found himself looking at the world with a different view.

What must it have been like, to one day see the world and everything in it and then have that torn from you? To be plunged into the dark world of blindness? To never see the sunlight on the water again, to see petals dance in the wind. To see the faces of those close to you? He imagined how bitter that defeat would be. Yet Aislin was not so.

Aislin remained close to her new lord whenever they entered a village or town. Toga preferred not to, but they did need supplies from time to time. While he preferred to go alone or at night, he disliked leaving Aislin for long periods of time. Ippiku could freeze enemies, but his power was temporary and most useful against smaller targets.

They had made their way into the germanian mountains with winter full on them. Toga had purchased a fur cloak for her and she nestled inside of it. There were many times when simple things became dangerous for her and soon she learned that there was no shame in calling out to her companion. He was always close enough to catch her. In the most recent excursion to a village for her cloak and other things, they'd stopped by a tavern of sorts.

Not the kind of place he would have wanted to take his ward to, but it was cold and would not get warmer. They had landed in the outskirts of the village and he led them down into the little wooden huts and cottages. As always men gave him uneasy glares, his inhumanity screaming at them. Nature telling them that he was a threat. Maybe they'd get their business done without killing anyone.

He'd found the merchant he was seeking. An old man named Lemuel. He peered up at the demon and grimaced, "Ye know they don't care for yer people here" he said bluntly. Toga glanced back at Aislin but she hadn't heard. "I need a cloak, the warmest you have, and quickly" he said, his tone bored.

Aislin was currently standing where he'd left her, swamped in his overly long cloak. Lemuel peered around him and scowled, "Ye've got no cause to take a lass like her" he said to the demon. Toga growled softly, menacingly. "Prepare my ward's cloak old man, I'm not feeling very merciful today".

Lemuel made placating motions and handed over a heavy cloak. "Yer as surly as ever dog" he muttered. Toga pressed several coins into his hand, "You're not much better. Human". Lemuel grunted and gave the lord all but one of his coins back. Toga glanced at his palm, and arched a brow in question. Lemuel waved him away, "I still owed you for helping me out when they took my daughter"

Toga shook his head, "Old man you are a tangled mind". But he thanked the old man and turned back to Aislin as a group of young men drew too close to her. With her golden hair and purple eyes, she was a sight and sadly men were always curious about her. Even more when they noticed her protector. She, of course was oblivious.

Ippiku was concealed in the deep hood of the cloak, watching with wary eyes. A man reached for a long golden braid that was visible, when a loud growl stopped him. He peered over at the tall silver haired man in fear. Toga grinned at him, flashing fangs. "I do not believe you have any business with my ward" he muttered and the man fell back from her.

He strode to her side and took her hand leading her through the village to gather what else they needed. He had to growl at several others, but none made an overly aggressive move. Aislin felt her new cloak being placed over her and snuggled into the softness. "Thank you lord Toga" she murmured. He grunted slinging his own cloak over his shoulder, he didn't really need it, but it drew attention when he didn't wear one. Supplies in hand, they left the village.

"Where are we going?" she asked one afternoon, her face pressed against his back to avoid the winter wind. "I have a friend that lives in the mountains, we will reach them by nightfall" he told her. She was cold, he knew that and even he was not opposed to a warm, soft bed.

The wolves sensed his approach long before he arrived and prepared to meet him. There was only one demon in the world they knew that was so strong. Princess Elda waited for her guest to appear. Her black hair caught up in braids, her garments of blue wool gracing her every curve.

Toga landed at the cave entrance. The wolves parting to allow him to dismount, a few growled softly at the human scent but Elda barked her orders to leave them be. She knew that his family had humans, that his own mother was human. Her people avoided them, but that didn't mean he had to.

Toga looked up into the ice blue eyes of the demoness and bowed formally to her. She laughed lightly, "Toga-sama" she chided, "You and I need not be so formal". He nodded, his eyes taking her in like a parched man. She knew that look, very well. "I take it you will accept my hospitality until the storm breaks"

He nodded, "My thanks Princess Elda". She looked past him to the girl sitting on the oni horse. Lowering her voice to a whisper, "You travel with a human woman?" she asked. Toga lifted his chin, "The child is my companion" he confirmed. Elda noticed her eyes then and looked at the demon lord with clever eyes.

"Bring her inside, before she freezes" she told him softly. So the child was forsaken. Poor thing, her kind didn't survive in the world. So why then, did the coldest demon she knew have her? She led them inside, Aislin keeping hold of his cloak as they walked. "I imagine that you are cold and dirty and tired. I will show you to the guest rooms and have servants bring you hot bathwater and food" she told them.

While they walked Toga introduced his ward to the wolf. Elda was perfect in her manners and welcomed the child into her den, she was careful to exude nothing to indicate she was not human to the child. Once Ippiku and Aislin were settled in one room and taken care of, Toga turned his attention to the wolf demoness.

"I cannot pretend to imagine why you've taken a blind human as a travel companion, but that is your business. She'll be safe and warm here. Now, what about you? Hot bath and fresh meat?" she asked and he nodded with a wry smile, "Among other things Elda"

Satisfied that his human ward was safe, he turned his attentions to his most generous hostess. He suspected that Elda wanted more from him than the physical attentions that he lavished on her when they were together. However, Elda while an interesting bedmate was not enough to hold his interest past a few days.

In time, she had come to understand that he was simply beyond her reach. Perhaps anyone's. She waited patiently while he bathed the sweat of travel from his body. She enjoyed looking at him, he was tall and well built. Glorious really. He carried an almost ethereal beauty, exotic.

He noticed her close inspection of him and smirked, "What's the matter Elda?" he asked, his large hand stroking over his hard length, "The wolves here not enough for you?". She shook her head, hell no they weren't. They would never be, not since she'd had him. His power reached everywhere and while she was the alpha of her people, she knew that he would force her submission and she could give it.

The demoness, slid to his side as he removed himself from the shallow tub and let her begin to dry him. Her talented hands wandering over his broad shoulders and down to his lean hips. He growled softly, telling her without words what he wanted and she obliged him.

Elda sank to her knees before him, staring up at the silver haired god before her. His length bobbed before her lips and she let her breath tease over him in warm puffs. His claws threaded through her lush hair and pulled her closer to him. Elda's tongue red tongue slipped out to slick over the engorged head of his sex. "Stop teasing woman"

He growled in pleasure as she sank her mouth onto his fully, sucking and licking the tender flesh. Her head bobbed on him and his fist remained in her hair. Elda moaned as his shaft slid in and out of her mouth. Her red lips stretching and pursing with her actions and the dog was quite content to watch his pale length vanish into that wet cavern. "One would think that you missed me Elda" he panted.

Elda sucked him into her throat and he groaned, eyes falling closed as the wolf princess deep throated him. He was big for her, he was aware and his hand moved to her throat to rub along the flesh to help her take him deeper still. Toga was no novice in lovemaking and he had varied interests, of which the wolf was more than aware. "That's it"

He felt his flesh tighten his sac lifting as her clawed hand cupped him gently. He was panting and growling now. Elda squeezed him in time with her swallowing motions and the dog pushed himself firmly against her heart shaped face, spilling his seed into the constricting walls of her throat.

The scent of her arousal was heavy in the air, like clinging honey and he pulled from her, his length still hard. She looked up at him with wide eyes, the pearly droplets of his release, clinging to her bottom lip and chin. With hooded eyes, he reached down and caught the slickness on his fingertip.

He offered it to Elda and she wrapped her tongue around his long finger before sucking it inside of her mouth, cleaning every bit of his fluids from his hand. "You like it little bitch?" She purred in answer. He smirked, as he dragged her upwards against his body. His lips crashed against hers, tasting himself and her in the heated tangle of tongues.

He walked her backwards toward her large fur covered bed and tossed her down on it. She pushed herself up her arms and looked up at him as he stood over her. The ultimate predator, the perfect killer. His silver hair was not bound in it's usual high ponytail, falling softly over his shoulders. "Toga?"

He looked down at her, his gaze commanding. Before she could move, he'd covered her body with his own, nipping his way across her neck and shoulders. She clung to him as he lapped lower and swirled his tongue over her pert breasts. The peaks hardening almost painfully under that soft swirl of heat. "Ah Toga!"

Toga needed her badly. He'd traveled too long and not had any respite. His people were lusty by nature and he'd ignored the desires of his body. He reined in his inu harshly. His pleasure was most certainly assured, there was nothing he wanted that Elda would deny him. It was his duty as a male to see to her first. "I know Elda, I know what you need"

His hand slid down her flat stomach to the nest of curls between her thighs. He watched her closely as he began to tease her, to stroke her soaked folds. His thumb lifting through them to press against the pearl hidden there. She arched and yelped at the sensations and he smirked against her throat, lapping the elegant column and catching it lightly in his fangs.

Her thighs spread wider as he began to pump his fingers inside of her, preparing her for his invasion of her person. His thumb retuning time and again to swirl over her pleasure center, she writhed beneath him, her eyes bleeding red, her delicate fangs growing longer in her animal need. "Uhnnn Toga!"

When he felt her clench around his hand he, curled his fingers and pressed higher. Her howling scream resounding through her stone chambers. He pulled his hand from her quickly, his own eyes red now. "On your knees bitch" he all but snarled at her and she rolled over, only to feel his clawed hands grasp her hips and pull her ass higher.

She growled at him softly, a warning sound. Her alpha instinct for dominance rising. "I want to be on top" Toga shoved her head into the furs and draped himself over her body, one hand braced beside her head. "Not bloody likely woman. I'm the alpha here" She growled the entire time, she wanted him, needed him, and this was the most erotic part for her. When he took her control away, completely.

His fangs pressed against the back of her neck and she stiffened. This was his silent warning to be still and she relaxed beneath him as he guided himself into her core. She whimpered at the slow filling. Her hips arching back to try and take him faster. His jaws tightened slightly and she whimpered in defeat.

When he was about half way in, he pulled out, much to her displeasure. She cried out when he slammed back in, burying himself to the hilt in the quivering flesh. He kept his hold on her flesh, not breaking skin with deadly fangs merely holding her and growled as he began to thrust against her. His name like a broken incantation falling from her parted lips.

Elda arched his back to take him deeper and he angled his hips to hit a tender spot inside of her. Her breasts jerked at his forceful thrusts. Her eyes fell shut as the heat flowed from her stomach through her entire body. His hand massaged her stomach, a gentle caress so at odds with the nearly brutal pounding she was taking.

She liked it best that way though and her release was coming on fast. Toga knew that and pinched her pearl, making her buck hard against him, her cries ringing out through the night. Toga thrust twice more and then withdrew, letting his hot wetness coat her soft ass and thighs.

Elda felt the rush of her fluids slide from her body, even as his hotness landed against her flesh. Those fangs released her and his tongue lapped at her gently. Elda waited until he let her up and then she stood, letting him clean her with wet cloths. She disliked males releasing IN her, she very much enjoyed it ON her.

Toga nuzzled her softly and pushed her back to the bed. She curled up and smiled at him, "You are amazing" she purred to him. Toga smirked, "I can be, true. You just like it hard and rough and no one around here is strong enough to take you like that" he reminded her.

She shrugged. It wasn't her fault that she would only let herself be taken by the most powerful. She patted the bedside when he was done cleaning himself up. "So tell me about the child" she asked, "Will you take her back to your land?". Toga sighed and flopped face down on the bed, "Rub my back woman" he commanded in mock tones.

Elda grinned and straddled his hips, her strong hands working over his muscles. "Well?" she asked again. Toga stared at the fire, "Yes I suppose I will take her back with me" he admitted. Elda sank down beside him, "Why?". She wasn't judging, she was merely curious.

Toga growled softly at her, "Because I have decided it will be so" he told her. He wasn't sure himself. He simply couldn't imagine leaving her. She'd die. Not that he should have cared, but his mother's words rang in his ears. 'The strong should protect the weak'. The laws of nature and of the beast said that one like her should not live. Unable to care for herself, she should have died long ago. She hadn't, for whatever reason. Now, she was his ward and responsibility. He'd tolerate no interference regarding her.
