She’d become cold, a mere image of the daft beauty he was entranced with as a child. Her footsteps fell silent on the ground as she cast a glance at a field hand, making quick haste of her ways to the home ahead of her. The ebony curls on her head had been teased back into a geisha style, her body clothed in the finest of silks and her face painted white with the deep red on her lips. Rin, was a goddess among beasts. Sesshomaru turned from the vision and walked deep into the forest, Jaken on his heels.
“M’lord, See the child has grown into a worthy wench of grace! You did no wrong in leaving her here when she was young!” The toad imp toddled beside his lord.
Listen to him, I suppose he is right that you left the girl here. The taiyoukai’s demon spoke.
True… Was his one worded reply as he continued walking, ignoring the toad at his feet. Ahn-Unn was settled into the mossy plane of the damp shore nearest a stream.
Even still, did you see her eyes? They were cold.
A Geisha is trained to show no emotion
But Rin’s spirit would never allow it. That girl was more like the cherry blossom, All the radiance in the world….
But closed to those and the harsh of winter. The one sided conversation dwindled out as Sesshomaru glanced at his figure in the water. Two hands instead of one, thanks to his brother’s mate. Kagome had proven well to thank him for his help with Naraku.
“Hmph, nigen…” Still his affinity for the human child grew as she did. It grew lustful, wanton and primal. At the age of her flowering he had to dismiss the girl. She ranted a raved as her lord left her among the humans but for he, it was a settling compromise to an end with the child. He would no longer be plagued with thoughts to further dirty his father’s blood.
Till now, he had only been passing through the area, looking…searching for hearsay of his brother’s newest arrival. Mostly he was trying to see whether the child was a half breed or human. That’s when he saw her. Walking along the rice fields, her kimono shuddering in the wind. Her young eyes cast upward and he saw brown and silver curl around them.
Mentally shaking from his memory, Sesshomaru sighed grasping the hold on his demon horse and leading him away from the village. A voice.
“Honestly I didn’t think you’d ever come to visit.” He turned. There was Rin knelt by the water, her dainty fingers on its surface creating ripples.
“I never meant to.” He was gruff as he turned again.
“I wish to invite you to my wedding, if that will suffice my lord. Today I am to be wed. I was hoping you would arrive to see it.” Her face was downcast.
Something inside of Sesshomaru clenched. Something hurt. He didn’t know what it was but it didn’t feel right at all. “You’re to be wed.”
“Yes, today.”
“Lord Sesshomaru has no time for human affairs such as your wedding!” Jaken rang out. Rin hissed as if something had burned her with the toad’s words.
“Thank you for reminding me Jaken. Farewell M’lord.” Like the mist she vanished into the forest.
“You had no right to answer for me Jaken.” The toad’s face was planted into the ground. The Lord sniffed to find his ward but oddly her scent had vanished just as she.
“Strange.”

“ For General Yurosaki and his new bride! Let the ancestors smile on you!” A neko imp poured another small cup of wine for the demon General. His long ash-colored hair swept the floor in a manner like a snake. His lips were tight and jaw angled yet, soft. His eyes were nearly feminine as they slanted at the sides with their cyan hue. He was tall, 6’5 with a lean muscular body, for any dragon-human youkai that was a feet .
Beauty like his only came around once or twice a century. It was rare to have that without being disfigured in some way shape or form. The only thing that was remotely off was the scales that littered his back in a pattern not uncommon to most of his kind. His forearms also bore the crystal like scales, they glinted in the light were his kimono showed his appendages. He truly was a beauty. And at his side was his bride.
Rin bowed gracefully to the room of demons, looking every bit lit the moon beam goddess she appeared to be. Her hair was still done up and make up was still present, except now she wore a kimono drizzled in gold and silver. Pearls danced on the lapels and symbols of beauty and grace garnished her neck. General Satembo Yurosaki was the General and Lord of the northern lands. He commanded his army of demons with great power and skill. Low and behold when he visited the Southern lands his eye was caught by the beauty of the weeping Rin.
She told of how her love had abandoned her and he felt great pity for her. Soon it was more than pity he felt. More like an ache to own and love her. A mate as you will.
“Lord Sesshomaru, of the Western Lands, wishes to speak with you and your bride General.” The neko imp spoke again with a raspy female voice. Her name was Suma She was no taller than Jaken with an attitude to match, but in retrospect she adored Rin with an almost motherly adoration.
“Allow him to pass, I have heard of his temper and killing grace, I would rather him a friend nor enemy.”
Satembo’s voice was smooth like silk. His demeanor reeked of nobility and stature. Almost like..
“Hello.” Sesshomaru’s voice was cold as he eyed the couple at the head of the room.
“Welcome Lord Sesshomaru. It has been quite a time since you have seen me…”
“Yes, This Sesshomaru was aware of your birth.” The younger demon chuckled. “So you are almost like an uncle to me, a dear old friend.”
Something in his tone was mocking because the scent of testosterone double in the room. People began to back away from the inu-youkai.
“I am also aware to the happenings between you and my bride. She told me of her travels with you. Tell me, do you know of the love she had for her first male?” Satembo squinted his eyes.
“I would like to find and kill this mortal for causing her such pain. Even now her eyes are cold with malice for him.” Rin suddenly hid her face from her groom and poured him another glass of sake’.
Satembo watched as his bride looked saddened with her work. Timid at every move. “I promise you at one time she was a great beauty. How I wish I could see her eyes….” He tilted Rin face to his “without the premise of sorrow.” She smiled lightly. “I wish to see a fully lit smile from my bride. Just once.” Dropping his hand.
“This Rin does not deserve such concern, she is merely a human female pleasing her lord till he finds another.” Satembo cursed as he stood. “Rin, my flower, take yourself into the court gardens, I have things to discuss with your former lord.”

“Do you honestly think he is the one Lord Satembo?” Suma spoke with diligence. “Of this I am sure. I saw the look of love and hate that passed in her. I felt it.” Sesshomaru entered the court yard. All the wedding guests had left. It was only the dragon Lord and the Inu-youkai.
“What business do you have with Lord Sesshomaru?” Jaken spoke up.
“MY Lord is certain that he is the one that caused such pain in Lady Rin.” Suma snapped at the toad, brandishing her large spear at the little demon.
“Is this true Sesshomaru? Are you the reason I cannot ever see beauty in my Rin’s eyes?” Satembo awaited an answer.
“This Sesshomaru….” The taiyoukai looked off. “I for once have no reason for my actions. I felt for her so I disposed of her as my one weakness….”
“Weakness?!” Appalled Satembo slapped the offending youkai. His claws leaving whelps along the Inu’s skin.
“She is no weakness, she is the strongest woman I have ever come to meet. Even now, though my love for her is never ending, she holds her heart for you and yet marries me to bid my happiness on herself! She is sacrificing her own heart!”
Satembo clenched his hands at his side.
“Tomorrow the official ceremony will begin, you have tonight to take her back. If you do not she is mine.”
