Okay ppls, I'm back! Hey! This is my first attempt at a song fic!

Summary: InuYasha muses on his demon, his hatred and his love for all humanity, including Miroku, it's basically a character study as well as an argument with his demon...somewhat.

Setting: After 'The Unstoppable Demon Within' so spoilers for that episode.

A/N: this was written very quickly after hearing Closer at my Birthday party, so, I placed the song on repeat and after listening to it seven times in a row to get a feel for this song this story fell out and was thrown together.

InuYasha glanced down from the tree branch he was poised upon, his left leg was braced against a smaller branch and his right dangled down, he swung it back and forth, lost in thought. It had been three days since the day in the village, when he'd torn apart those bandits, his blood still burned faintly with the want to do more violence, the need for death. *You know you loved it* He scowled slightly, shaking off the sinster thought,

his thoughts moved to Miroku, when they trapped in the deadly poison, how the monk struggled to keep their protective barrier up, the way the sweat glistened in a fine sheet on his brow.

InuYasha smirked, he bet that's the way the ningen monk looked after sex, he heard a chuckle within his head,

*oh yes, can you imagine it, his cries of rapture as you took him viciously?*

'I would be gentle, unlike you, demon, now shut up and leave me alone.' Once again silence enveloped him and he watched as Miroku spoke to an Inn keeper, motioning with his staff as well as his hands, most likely explaining about some unknown evil he'd sensed. He bowed and then approached Kagome with a smile, InuYasha smirked, yep, he'd been right. He leapt from the tree, Miroku glanced upwards,

"ahhhh, InuYasha, I have gotten us shelter for tonight, but, sadly there are only two rooms, you and I will have to share." InuYasha noted a small smirk, and added one of his own, mentally of course,

"feh, if it keeps you away from the females, I can suffer one night." They entered the crowded inn and people shyed away from InuYasha, obviously afraid of the Hanyou, he allowed his eyes to narrow as he entered the room reserved for him and Miroku, it was unfair. He could hear them whispering,

"That's the one, the one who terrorized that village."

"You don't say, they're saying he killed three bandits and an entire band of rouges."

"An entire band, he must be vicious, why'd they ever let a thing like that live?" He sighed sadly, his entire life had been like this, unaccepted in human society, banished from demon clans, he didn't fit in anywhere, his was isolated into a clan of his own.

Miroku entered the room, shutting the door softly, "I must apologize InuYasha, I had no idea people would react like that, are you okay?" He knelt down before the Hanyou and placed a hand on his shoulder, InuYasha turned his head away, unable to meet the monk's eyes, for fear that they'd reject him,

"I'm fine monk, get some sleep, we need to get going in the morning, we have more shards to collect." Miroku stood, turning his back on InuYasha as he slid out of his robe, draping the purple material on a chair, he slid his shirt over his head and stretched in tired bliss. InuYasha watched Miroku in fascinated lust, the way the muscles coiled in his well trimmed back, it sparked an aroused fire within him and his demon awoke.

*Take him* InuYasha remained silent and stationary, too aroused to even fight his demon, *take him!* InuYasha's head jerked to the side, the voice within him was growing angered, louder and demanding, a sign it was about to surface. *Do it, do it now!* InuYasha clutched his head with one hand, Miroku still unaware of InuYasha's inner battle, *do it, end his pain, end your suffering! Do it or I shall do it for you!* InuYasha's other hand grasped his head and he whimpered softly, barely audiable, Miroku turned,

"InuYasha?" Too lost within his own battle, the human was ignored,

*He wants you to, he's waiting.* The voice teased him, soft and gentle now, *you know you want it, to feel him, to touch him, to taste him.* InuYasha was slowly losing his battle, the demon was surfacing, *he wants you to touch him, taste him, find solace, end this madness, bury yourself within him! Do it! Do it! NOW!*

Inuyasha's resolve snapped and his eyes shot wide, crismon bleeding into gold and InuYasha sprang forward, he tackled the human to the floor, pressing his lips hungrily to those of the human.

The two parted, air desperately needed, Miroku stared into the red depths, for once, reassured instead of afriad, "I never knew." InuYasha smirked,

"this isn't going to be gentle, I've been waiting too long." Miroku gave a small nod,

"understood, now, please, god." InuYasha tore the clothes from him and the writhing human below him,

"turn over." Miroku did as he was asked, panting wordlessly as his need took hold, InuYasha grasped the pale, slim hip and without another thought thrust in, Miroku's eyes screwed shut in pain, he couldn't help the soft, pained whimper that escaped him. InuYasha remained still, Miroku took a deep breath, nodding softly, InuYasha extracted himself and then slammed back in savagely, Miroku jolted forwards as his prostate was connected and let out a soft whine. InuYasha growled, slamming in harder, Miroku slid down, his arms unable to support him, his head bowed in utter submission as he surrendered completely to the driving force above him. He gave a small gasp as InuYasha grasped his length and pumped with a hurried frenzy, the onslaught became too much and with a violent shudder he released himself with a silent scream. InuYasha came with a low grunt, then wordlessly collapsed to the floor, extracting himself from Miroku.

InuYasha walked down the path, Miroku walked ahead of him, limping slightly, the girls and Shippo were already in the next village, Kagome met them at the entrance gate, "Sango got us a place to stay, you two are going to have to share a room again, is that okay?" InuYasha had passed Miroku, looking back as his eyes flashed red,

"nah, I don't mind, you Miroku?" The human met his eyes,

"no, not at all." Kagome nodded,

"great." She ran off and InuYasha followed, slightly slower as to allow Miroku to catch up, he smirked,

'maybe I'll let him be seme.' A laugh ran through his head,

*perhaps, dear one, perhaps, but go gentle on the boy, he is not an animal like us* As Miroku caught up to him InuYasha gave a smirk,
