InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ Club Refuge ❯ Running Away ( Chapter 1 )

[ T - Teen: Not suitable for readers under 13 ]

A/N: Special thanks to angel-up-above-heaven!!! You're so awesome and I'm glad you read my stories and leave reviews!! You really are and angel!! ^_^ THANKS!! Also, about the My Chemical Romance, I wanted to know if there was any specific song you wanted me to use..?

I didn't look over this for spelling, so I know there's going to be mistakes with it, and probably grammer as well, but I'll fix it eventually!! Please ignore my editing habits and any annoying emails you get from me saying I've edited one of my stories!!

I reread this and I realised that it was really bad, so I redid it almost completely and I think it's a little better now. I guess I'm a little obsessed with my editing.. I'm a better reader than I am a writer. I can usually give pretty good advise to other people, but when I go to write my own stories, everything seems badly writen after I go back and reread it. *sigh* I have a feeling I'm gonna regret having five fics at once. (yes, five. I got an idea for another one *sigh again*) I need help, people!!!! By the way.. This is an Inu/Kag fic so don't worry about Kinky-hoe.. Oops, I meant Kikyou!! ^_^; Heh, it just slipped. (Sorry to anyone who likes her..) Any advise you have would be ever so kind and helpful!! DISCLAIMER: Nope, I don't own Inu or any songs used during this story. I'm only gonna say it once, so keep that in mind.. (wow, long a/n, huh?)

Club Refuge ch.1

Kikyou stood behind the bar serving drinks and food to people while the band got ready behind stage. She was average height, if not slightly taller, her body slender and thin. Her complexion was almost deathly pale, contrasting with her long black hair that went all the way to her lower back. Her emotionless grey eyes made her hard to read and her facial features were calm and gave off a wise appearance, making her look more mature dispite her obvious youth.

It was a Saturday night and the club was packed full of people. Colored spotlights roamed wildly around the otherwise dark club and the music pounded through the huge speakers. The crowd became louder, causing a few of the other people who worked there to cover thier ears, but where still screaming themselves.

Kikyou rolled her eyes. Those three were such show offs..

Inuyasha took his position with confidence along with the rest of them. Kouga sat behind a drum set in the back corner of the stage and Miroku played guitar and stood beside Inuyasha with a guitar hanging from around his neck.

"I just wanted to thank you all for comin out to the club tonight." Inuyasha shouted into the mic with practiced ease. Inuyasha held his guitar as he flashed the crowd one of his trademark smirks that could make any girl weak in the knees. The crowd reacted with high-pitched screaming. He'd be lucky to make it through the night without at least one girl throwing their panties at him. He didn't nessesarily appreciate it, but he liked it when he got to see the angry look on Kikyou face, which was one of the very few emotions she ever showed.

Miroku winked at the crowd and flashed a dorky grin that resulted in more screaming. Miroku on the other hand, loved the attention and took every advantage of it. He was known to be a player and a pervert. As much as he loved to play in the band, he loved it even more because of the girls.

Miroku and Inuyasha were the first ones to start the band. Kouga had joined them soon after to replace their last drummer. Kouga hadn't liked either of them, but it was an offer he couldn't refuse since their band was so popular and well-known locally. He'd have been stupid to turn them down.

Kouga shook his head at them both as they took advantage of the attention while he sat half-hidden behind his drums. 'Such Morons..'

Kagome stood outside the building with a sign that said'Club Refudge' on it in bold, fansy italic lettering. She could hear faint rock music from inside the club, along with a drone of voices. 'Oh great, this can't be the right place..' She thought, a feeling of dread and regret filling her.

"Circling, circling, circling your head, contemplating everything you ever said.
Now I see the truth, I got doubt.
A different motive in your eyes and now I’m out.
See you later..
I see your fantasy, you wanna make it a reality paved in gold?
See inside, inside of our heads, yeah.
Well now that’s over..
I see your motives inside.. decisions to hide.."

The point was just to get away, but now that she had gotten this far, she didn't know where else to go. Her uncle had written her a letter last month and it was addressed to this club. Kagome had traveled all the way there by herself and without a car. She had walked and hitch-hiked, ignoring the voice in her head saying it was dangerous, until she'd finally gotten there. Kagome chewed the corner of her lip nervously before digging the envelope from her back pocket to check the address again.

Kagome sighed, taking a deep breath and running her fingers through her long raven hair that cascaded all the way down to her lower back and neatly placed bangs that laid lightly on her forehead, straightening her light blue tank top, and wiping the imaginary dust from her ripped dark jeans. She wore a white studded belt and a pair of vans with only a thin jacket to protect herself from the cold. Mascara coated her lashes and another light coat of eyeliner framed her blue-grey eyes. She wore a pair of dark sunglasses to hide her face even though it was pitch dark outside. She stopped at the door to gather her courage before pulling it open.

The place was jammed packed with people. The dance floor was full of sweaty bodies. The music that pumped through the place was spilling out of large speakers placed strategically around the club. The stage was one of the first things she saw where a boy with long, light-colored hair stood in the center of the stage, but she couldn't see much else from the distance away. Another boy with short black hair stood beside him with a guitar and another boy with long black hair pulled into a high ponytail sat half-hidden behind a drum set. A bar was off to the side in the corner of the stage where a girl stood with long dark hair served drinks and snacks to a crowd of people.

Inuyasha took the mic off it's stand as the song went into the chorus which required a little more energy.

"Back off, I’ll take you on!
Headstrong, to take on anyone!
I know, that you are wrong!
Headstrong, we’re Headstrong!
Back off, I’ll take you on!
Headstrong, to take on anyone!
I know, that you are wrong and this is not where you beloooooooooooong..
I.. can’t.. giiive everyyythiiing awaaaaaaaaaaaay..
I.. won’t.. giiive everyyythiiing awaaaaaaaaaaaay.."

Kagome made her way through the crowd to get to the stage, ignoring a few angry shouts of 'Hey!' and 'Watch it!' that she had earned for being a little pushy, trying to get through. She made it to the stage and was almost in awe. She was as close as she could get and the mysterious singer was only a few feet away.

The silver-haired boy had stunning golden eyes that she hadn't been able to see before. She could tell they were contacts.. They had to be.. The smirk at the corner of his lips made her almost want to faint. She could see one of his teeth that were pointed, making it look like he had fangs..

His appearace was so weird, but it strangely looked good on him. What guy would dye their hair bleach blonde and grow it out all the way to their lower back? His hair was long, even for a girl.. His face was handsom and he had well-tanned skin. She could tell he had a nice body, since the black wife-beater he had on did nothing to hide it. He wore baggy cargo pants and a bandanna over his head. A electric guitar hung from his neck. The words coming out of his mouth held so much emotion and she could tell he had a passion for being in the band.. The music was a lot different from the usual pop-alternative style she was used to listening to, but she found herself rather enjoying it. She could really get used to listening to this instead..

"Conclusions manifest, your first impressions got to be your very best.
I see you’re full of shit, and that’s alright.
That’s how you play, I guess you’ll get through every night.
Well now that’s over..
I see your fantasy, you want to make it a reality paved in gold?
See inside, inside of our heads, yeah.
Well now that’s over..
I see your motives inside.. decisions to hide..."

Kagome reluctantly forced herself to tear her eyes off the strange long-haired, golden-eyed boy and turned her gaze to the other two band members. The first one held a guitar and his black hair was pulled into a small low ponytail at the bottom of his neck. Two gold earings pierced his ear, one at the top and one at the bottom. His eyes were a blue-violet color and he was dressed in a indigo T-shirt with some perverted comment written on it and baggy kaki pants.

The other had long black hair that was pulled into a high ponytail. His eyes were a crystal, icy blue and she guessed they were contacts too. Contacts were common now days and lots of people wore them. She couldn't see what clothes he was wearing since he sat hidden behind his drums, but his expression was completely focused and concentrated.

"(Where you beloooooooooooong)
I.. can’t.. giiive everyyythiiing awaaaaaaaaaaaay.. (This is not.. Where you beloooooooooooong)
I.. won’t.. giiive everyyythiiing awaaaaaaaaaaaay..

Kagome was suddenly shoved and she fell harshly to the floor, hitting her head hard. Her vision blurred and pain throbbed through her head. She could barely hear the people around her an the club seemed to go muted. She could still hear the distorted muffled sound of the music, but everyone around seemed to not notice her. Dark spots danced before her eyes and conciousness was slipping away from her.

Two teen boys were in the middle of a fight. One had a bloody nose and a black eye. The other had a busted lip and a bruised cheek. One of them threw the other back into a girl. Inuyasha had seen the whole thing and his first instinct was to beat them to a pulp and make sure the girl was okay, but Sango had gotten to it first. She worked as the bodyguard. She was a girl, but a hell of a fighter. She knew how to fight and could take down full grown men twice her size. She was tall and slender, her womanly figure making her seem not very intimidating, but she was very athletic and fast. Her dark, almost black hair went to her mid-back and was pulled into it's usual high ponytail. Her chocolate brown eyes were dangerous and held a sense of strength and determination within them. Inuyasha could only watch as Sango took the girl into the back room.

Kagome could make out a girl's trying to speak to her. The girl's mouth was moving, but no sound came out. Kagome tried to resist the darkness engulfing her vision, but she felt so sleepy and her eyes felt so heavy. Her vision blurred completely and her eyes drifted closed, as she went unconsious.

Inuyasha continued as the music slowed and the silver-haired boy went down on his knees, people were reaching their hands out for him to touch. He took the mic in one hand, letting the other one pass over a few hands as he growled out the next lines.

I know, I know all about..
I know, I know all about..
I know, I know all about..
I know, I know all about your motives inside.. and your decision to hide..

The music picked up again and Inuyasha jumped back to his feet as the song went back into the chorus.

Back off, I’ll take you on!
Headstrong, to take on anyone!
I know, that you are wrong!
Headstrong, we’re Headstrong!
Back off, I’ll take you on!
Headstrong, to take on anyone!
I know, that you are wrong and this is not where you beloooooooooooong..
Where you beloooooooooooong.. (This is not.. Where you beloooooooooong)
I.. can’t.. giiive everyyythiiing awaaaaaaaaaaaay.. (This is not.. Where you beloooooooooooong)
I.. won’t.. giiive everyyythiiing awaaaaaaaaaaaay.. (This is not.. Where you beloooooooooooong)
This is not.. Where you beloooooooooooong..

A/N: The song in this chapter is called Headstrong by Trapt. Most of the music is gonna be Punkrock/Hard Rock. Sorry if you don't like that type of music, but that's the only kind I can stand. No rap or heavy metal and very little, if any hiphop. Ayame and/or Rin might show up somewhere, but I'm not quite sure yet, so if you think they should, be sure to let me know and I could try to work them in somehow..

*There will be very little/no screaming in the songs. If there is any, it will be marked like: EXAMPLE!!!!
*Mild yelling is marked like(nothing too hardcore): EXAMPLE!!
*Not screaming, but not as calm as regular singing: example!!
*Regular singing is marked like: example.
*Background Vocals(Miroku and/or Kouga): (example.)

Here's a list of artists I'm gonna use for this fic. They could change later on, but this is basically just to give you an idea of the type of music I like.
NOTE: If you want, you can request songs or bands that aren't on this list, but I can't guarantee I'll use them. Just please don't be mad at me if I don't!!
