Chapter 1: A Change In Identity

As Kagome walked along a path near the park as went home and saw couples sitting next to each other on the benches. She saw a familiar face and it was Inu Yasha but Kikyo was with him too. Kagome always had a crush on Inu Yasha ever since 2nd grade but never really showed it much because she knew that he loved Kikyo. She began to forget about him in high school since he went to a different one but not fully. As she saw them next to each other, tears began to fill her eyes but she held them back. Kagome heard their conversation since she was not too far away.
"I...love you, Inu Yasha" Kikyo said.
Inu Yasha looked speechless and didn't know what to say and she knew that it was for the best that they belong with each other and not, her and Inu Yasha.
Kagome decided to run before anyone would see her. 'I wish I had someone who would love me but I might as well give up soon' Kagome thought sadly.
As she ran, she could hear Inu Yasha saying "What was that, I thought I just saw someone familiar pass by."
"Never mind Inu Yasha, its probably a bird", Kikyo said.
But what no one knows is…does Inu Yasha really love Kikyo?

"Sango?" Kagome said as she snapped back from her one of her daydreams from her past life.
"Hmm?" Sango replied as they sat in her room, talking to each other since Kagome was sleeping-over at her house.
"I know this is kind of weird to ask but do you want to start a new life with me before we start college", Kagome questioned.
"What do you mean?" Sango said.
"I can use my miko powers to give us a new name and change our identity a bit. We could forget about our past life. Like you can be...Sakura, a plain girl who never loved anyone and had a happy family. While I can be...Kayame, also an ordinary girl who had a happy life with no bad memories and never fell in love with anyone either." Kagome explained.
"Kagome..." Sango said in a whisper so Kagome couldn't hear. She knew why Kagome wanted to do this and what broke her heart.
"Ok" Sango agreed.

They next day, Sango woke up and took a bath because Sango and Kagome were going to check out where they would be staying for college. She wore black jeans that had cute on the bottom of it and a white tank top that fit her perfectly. She had black nail polish on, to match her jeans and wore a small, spike ball necklace that was also black. She also wore black shoes and she kept her new long hair that reached down to the middle of her back in a high ponytail. Afterward, she added a bit of make up and looked at her appearance because of the change when Kagome used her miko powers. when she was all done, she went to wake up Kagome.
"Kagome uhh...I mean Kayame wake up because we have to leave" Sango or should I say, Sakura said.
"Mmmm..." Kayame replied.
Sakura left the room where Kayame slept in and went to the bathroom. She came out of the bathroom with a pail of water and went back to where Kayame was sleeping. Sakura had an evil grin on and poured the water on Kayame.
"AHHH!!!" Kayame screamed while Sakura kept her ears close.
"Did that wake you up? Well if it did then go change. We have to leave." Sakura said impatiently.
"Ok, ok, hai...just don't pour water on me again. Its freezing cold." Kayame said while shivering.
Kayame took a bath and changed. She wore a light blue tank top and also wore black jeans. She had light blue nail polish on and a bit on lip gloss on that sparkled. She kept her short, black hair down which used to be long and wore black high heeled shoes that were about two inches high.
When Kayame was done dressing up, Sakura had already put their bags of clothes and all that stuff in the car so they were ready to leave. The both got to the car when they had everything they need and left the house.
"I wonder who our roommates will be" Kayame wondered as they began to act like normal teenagers.
"Well just have to find out and see" Sakura said as they turned on a green light.
"Are we there yet" Kayame questioned like a child.
"No" Sakura said.
"Are we there yet" Kayame said again.
"No" Sakura said.
"Are we there yet" Kayame said again.
SILENCE
"Are we there yet" Kayame said again.
SILENCE
"Are we there yet" Kayame said again.
"Hai, were here" Sakura said, annoyed.
"Yay!" Kayame said and they both went up to the now called home.
Sakura pressed the doorbell and the door opened.
