"I hate this," Inuyasha muttered.
"Oh live with it!" Kagome cried. "You've been saying that same sentence for the last FIVE hours. Give me a break! Geez!"
"I hate this," he continued, ignoring her.
"Stupid. Being a human isn't all bad!"
"I hate this."
Kagome screeched, tugging at her hair, kicking her feet with irritation. Five hours of listen to moaning and complaining…and she was ready to jump off of the tree that they had climbed up.
"SHUT UP."
"I hate the new moon it's so goddamn-" Fed up with his whining, Kagome forcefully grabbed his face and crushed her lips against his. She felt him stiffen, but she continued. After a few long moments of licking, slurping, searching, and tongue battling, they broke for air, faces beet red. "What…What w-was that?" Inuyasha slurred.
"I needed you to shut up! Besides, you know I like kissing you." She blushed as Inuyasha pulled her against him and sighed.
"I like kissing you more…"
"You're immature you know!" she giggled, nuzzling his chin.
"So?" He stuck his tongue out at her. And they instantly resumed their kissing.
How gross…

Kagome was roused earlier by the loud, irritating twitter of birds. She could barely see anything in the faint, predawn light, except her bed posts and velvet covers. Kagome yawned and stretched, rubbing the kinks out of her neck. She smiled and kicked off the covers.
No bed-making today. That was the maid's job. She slunk quietly down the empty corridors, hurrying to find Inuyasha. They were both hanyou again and her nose could pick up a bit of his scent. It lead away from his room and outside.
Kagome's ear twitched as she cocked her head.
"Eh? Where the heck is he going?" she asked herself. Shrugging, she tip-toed to the large Front Doors and pulled them open, wincing at the loud, creaking nose they made as they swung on rusty hinges.
This was were Inuyasha's scent was strongest.
"Hey," she greeted. Her favorite hanyou was sitting on the steps, knees drawn up to his chest. He was pouting, and she could tell that without even looking at his face. "What's up."
Kagome walked over to him and snuggled up at his side. He was glaring out in the distance, dark brows furrowed in anger, lips pulling into a scowl.
"What's wrong?" He turned slowly towards her and sighed, ear twitching in annoyance.
"Nothing."
"Inuyasha…I'm not a human anymore." She tapped her nose knowingly. "I can smell when you lie." He cursed under his breath. "And I can hear when you curse, too." Kagome smirked. "So what's wrong?" She rubbed his back in circular motions, feeling his tightly coiled muscles relax under her touch.
"I'm…I'm leaving today."
"What? All ready?" she cried, clawed hand shooting to her mouth. "It can't have been a month…"
"It has. I transformed during the new moon before I came here, then I transformed again last night." He bit his lip. "I have to go today. My bags are packed. So are Miroku's. We have to go." Tears now pricked up in her eyes. She clutched his arm, burying her face into his sleeve.
"I don't want you do go, Inuyasha…" He draped his other arm around her and pulled her gently into his warm, slightly lumpy lap. Inuyasha buried his nose in her hair, desperately trying to remember her scent. He would miss it once he was back at the Western Lands, miles and miles away.
"Kagome," he murmured. Her arms crept around his sides as she squeezed him, like he was her lifeline. How he would miss her. They had been together for what seemed like forever, learning about each other, fighting demons, defeating curses, and finding love…and now he would have to…leave. Leave. That word left a bitter taste in his mouth. He couldn't leave her behind. She might not have known it, but now she was the most important thing in the world to him.
He couldn't just go. If he left…he would be leaving a part of himself with her.
"You can't go…Why can't you stay? If only for a little bit longer…" Kagome asked softly, voicing his thoughts.
"I tried to bargain with your mom. She's as stubborn as you are. She said maybe I can come back in six months-"
"SIX MONTHS!" Kagome wailed, tears now coursing freely down her face and soaking his haori. "I can't be by myself that long."
"You'll have Sango."
"I know, but she's a girl. I want Inuyasha." Kagome might not have know it, but that single sentence warmed his heart. He held her protectively.
"I'll work something out with my Ma. She's nice." He rubbed his rough sleeve gently over her face. "Just don't cry. I don't want you to cry over me."
"But…" Her bottom lip trembled and her eyes burned as she tried to hold back more oncoming tears. "I'll miss you so much!"

Hi…I'm Kagome Higurashi.
I am NOT a bitch. Besides, we have to spend the next month or so together, so I thought we might as well call it a truce!
That means, Sango and I WIN! In your face Inuyasha!
Hey, that's no fair!
You're right, Inuyasha. I am a bitch. Your bitch. All yours.
You know why I was looking at you like that? BECAUSE I THOUGHT YOU WERE HANDSOME!
Yeah I've been thinking. If there was a way we could stop you from becoming a full youkai on the full moon.
And that's precisely why I'm going with you.
Yeah! Wait for Myoga…punk
I was cold. You're warm.
You means those bones are your…father?
I'M SO SORRY! I assumed that you knew more. Inuyasha…it's all my fault that we fought!
Mom! You talk as if Inuyasha and I…slept together!
No! Don't get hurt because of me!
Of course, silly puppy, it means everything to me.
You can change from a baka to a sweetheart real fast, you know that?
I know you want to avenge Kikyo, and I know you love her.
You think I'm a liar! You don't trust me even though I trust you with my life!
T-Thanks Inuyasha.I love you, too. You've always been there for me.
We'll have to get you into bed straight away.
That was wonderful.

Inuyasha felt an odd, tingling sensation in his eyes. Oh no! I can't cry! Not now. But he couldn't help it. All of his memories of Kagome had been gathering together and once he realized that he might not see her again, they crashed into him and cracked the strong barrier that he had build around himself. A few tear drops pelted her hands. Inuyasha's eye were narrowed and he was looking away from her, but Kagome could smell his sadness.
Sniffling, she rose herself eyelevel and kissed away his tears.
"Don't cry," she murmured against his skin. Inuyasha titled his face so that he could kiss her.
"I won't." He stood up, brushing off his haori and took her hand. "C'mon. Let's go inside."

"Look pervert!" Sango swatted his hand away irritably as she sighed, blowing up loose strands of her ebony hair. "I'm getting sick of this." Miroku pouted, poking out his lip.
"But love," he whined, shooting her the puppy face. "I'm leaving today." The girl froze, mouth falling open, staring at him in shock.
"W-what?" she managed to sputter, eyes wide. Miroku smiled grimly.
"I thought you knew. It's been a month, give or take a few days. I have to leave in a few hours."
"B-But you can't. Didn't you try to reason with the Queen?" He nodded.
"Yes. Inuyasha and I both did. I couldn't be helped." His shrugged, trying to shake off the bad feelings that were worming their way around his heart, making him feel indescribable pain. His eyes began to burn, but he quickly rubbed away the tears. "I will miss you, you know."
He wrapped his arms around her, squeezing her small body against his larger one.
"Don't worry. Maybe I'll see you again. Maybe real soon." She shivered as he stroked her hair with his skilled hand.
"But how soon?" Sango asked in a muffled voice. "I don't want to be separated for long…"
"We won't be," Miroku cooed, kissing the crown of her head. "I'll work something out. Promise."
"You promised not to grope me," she snapped bitterly. "And what were you doing just two seconds ago?" A sweat-drop formed at his temple.
"Erm…well…this is different. Much different. You know I have feelings for you, Sango. I can't bear to be away from you long, either." He rubbed her back.
"I hate you." Sango balled her hands into fists and shoved Miroku off of her. Without a strangled cry he fell off of the bed, and landed on the floor, one leg twisted up in the air. "Why did you have to do it?" she shrieked.
"Do what?" he asked, moaning, as he rubbed a large pink knob on his head.
"Make me fall in love with you." His lips parted in surprise as a few more plump tears rolled down her cheeks and wet her chin. She rubbed them away furiously whilst glaring at him. "Make me miss you." Miroku eagerly darted up from the floor and hugged her, kissing her on the lips fiercely.
"I love you, too Sango," he murmured against her skin. "And I promise I won't forget you. I promise I'll come back for you." She nodded in his tight embrace and sniffled.
"I'll be waiting."

"Break it up people! Break it up!" Miroku barked, shoving himself between the kissing couple. Sango laughed, hiding her smirk behind her hand.
"Miroku you jerk!" Kagome yelled, though she was smiling as well.
"Why do you ruin everything?" Inuyasha asked slyly, allowing himself to smirk. Miroku wrapped his arms around the pair and walked briskly to the Front Doors.
"Our carriage awaits." A sentry gave them a tight-lipped smile before he and his comrade pushed opened the doors.
Outside it was cold and bleary, the wind giving the air a frigid bite. The clouds loomed, large and threatening in the sky, tinted a dark silver while thunder and lightening boomed and crackled in the distance.
Kagome shivered, clamping her hands over her arms, feelings goosebumps pop up on her skin. Inuyasha sighed. How could he survive without her? Miroku wasn't fairing much better. Sango had also gotten a chill and somehow, oddly, they were kissing.
Kagome pretended to puke and Inuyasha laughed deep in his chest. He wiped a few stray tears from her eyes before giving her a long kiss on the lips. He shifted the weight of the bag to his other shoulder and sighed, pushing his hair from his eyes.
"Looks like this is were we say our goodbyes," he muttered. Miroku burst into the conversation and clapped Inuyasha on the shoulder.
"Ready to go?" he asked somewhat sadly.
"I was just asking if this is were we say goodbye," Inuyasha ground out, gritting his teeth. Sango and Kagome shook their head in unison.
"Nope."
"We shouldn't say goodbye."
"It'll make it seem more final," Sango explained quickly.
"So, until we meet again, Inuyasha," Kagome said, a lone tear trickling down her cheek. Inuyasha frowned.
"Don't cry. I'll be back before ya miss me, promise." He clapped his hand to his heart. "Okay?" Kagome nodded and dried her tears.
"Okay."
Miroku turned to Sango, who threw her arms around him and kissed him on the cheek.
"Don't forget about me."
"I won't. Who would?" He rubbed her thigh, eyes glinting. For once, Sango didn't prevent it and kissed him lightly.
"Miroku," she muttered, rolling her eyes. "Come back soon."
With a final wave over his shoulder, Miroku walked steadily towards the waiting carriage.
"I'll miss you," Kagome whispered, ears drooping with sadness. "Hurry back."
"I will." Inuyasha kissed her.
"Okay, until we meet again."
The two girls watched as the boys loaded their luggage onto the coach and got in. The last thing they saw as it rounded the corner was Miroku and Inuyasha's faces pressed up against the glass window.
I can't believe it! They're finally gone!
