InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ Convalescence ❯ Author's Note ( Chapter 2 )
Hey everybody!
This is not a chapter, just a note to all who read "Convalescence." I was so thrilled when I got all those reviews! This is my first fan fiction ever, so you know you guys just made my day.
Anywho, I'll let you in on my deepest darkest secret: I am not a really big writer. Thank you for all of your compliments, but I honestly am not the kind of person who can just DO creative writing. Bolts of inspiration will occasionally strike me like lighting, but it's not something I do with effort. This doesn't mean that I'll never write again. Heavens no! But don't expect a lot of work from me, and I'm warning you, I might disappoint.
For all those who reviewed and asked, I AM doing a sequel for "Convalescence." In fact, it's almost finished. I will say that it is very much like a one shot. Things will be left still rather open ended, because the main point is, as always, the lemon. I still maintain that "Convalescence" is a one-shot, so unless you are DYING to know what happens in the following few weeks, there is no reason you HAVE to read it. It's really just like a one-shot: it can stand alone with nothing before or after.
Also: when I write, there are certain things that I choose not to deal with. You've probably noticed this. For example: Kikyo, Kagome's family's reaction to her and Inuyasha mating, the fact that Inuyasha probably has a lifespan of a few hundred years and she's human, etc. They just aren't discussed in the story. As a result, you may find some of my fics slightly unsatisfying. The reply I have is that I don't like dealing with all this stuff. Aside from the Kikyo issue, Rumiko Takahashi doesn't mess around with those semantics, so I'm sure as hell not gonna put myself through that. For all you guys out there who feel better knowing that Inuyasha won't outlive Kagome by an unreasonable margin, that she'll somehow finish school, that her family won't disown her, and that Kikyo won't decide to be a bitch, I hereby give you permission to take all these facts as givens for all of my stories. ALL of them. I want happy endings for our Inu-chan and our `Gome. I just don't want to give my fingers that much exercise to tie up all the loose ends. Call me lazy if you like; I'm not a big writer, remember?
I'll wrap this up now. The sequel, tentatively titled "Cohesion" should be up within a week. Also look for my other upcoming work. I've been hit by multiple inspiration bolts, and while I don't promise them instantly, they'll eventually show up.
Keep on dreamin' guys!
