COOLING DOWN

Spring time was unusually hot , thought Inuyasha as he slipped off his fire rat and draped it on his lap. He looked at the sun and then at the ground thinking about nice cold water, nice cold river water, so he jumped down from his perch and start to walk to the river. Once Inuyasha got there he saw that he was not the only one with the same idea. He saw Sango, Miroku, Kagome, Shippo and Kirara along with more than half of the village children were in the river trying to cool down.

The children all saw Inuyasha and ran to him dragging him to the shore and into the water. Careful not to hurt the children with his claws Inuyasha allowed them to lead him to the river and into the water, which cooled him right away. Kagome had watched all that had happened and thought to herself who would have thought. As the day progressed Inuyasha and the children were all playing catch the demon and they were all hanging on to Inuyasha trying to drag him down. Finally they managed to trip him up resulting in Inuyasha falling down and taking all who were hanging on to him down with him. Everyone laughed as they watched everyone come back up for air and Inuyasha dunking some of them under the water again. Soon the parents started to gather there young ones up to have dinner. Kagome was standing by Inuyasha when a little boy and a little girl walked up to the teenagers with a smile on there little faces.

Inuyasha noticed the kids first then said what do you want you little brats.

Being use to the hanyou’s moods, the children just smiled and said thank you big brother for playing with use today.

“Keh, well don’t think I’ll do that ever again” replied Inuyasha in a gruff voice.

Then the two kids just laughed and ran back to their mother and went in for the night.

When the two kids left Inuyasha whispered your welcome , that Kagome had heard.

Kagome smiled then looked at Inuyasha and said “One day when you have children of your own you will be a kind and gentle father.

Inuyasha blushed at Kagome’s comment but then said, “If I have pups, I want you to be there mother.

This time it was Kagome’s turn to blush as Inuyasha started to splash Kagome with water and said I think you need to cool down.

Soon they were splashing each other and chasing the other around , oblivious to the others watching them.
