Summary: InuKag MirSan KogAya SesRin ShiKir
AU Kagome, Sango, Miroku, Rin, Shippo, and Kirara are all vampyrs (changed spelling for a reason) and Inuyasha, Sesshomaru, Kouga, and Ayame are lycens (werewolfs). Vampyrs and lycens are in a constant war that has all been since the being of time. Inuyasha and Sesshomaru's family have always fought to stop the war. Kagome and her friends are a group of vampyrs trying to stop the war. Never before have a lycen and vampyr fallen in love but there's a first time for everything right?
----------------------

He'd been following her for some time now as she slipped through the shadows. She knew very well he was there her senses screamed at her that a lycen was pursuing her. He probably thought she was completely oblivious to him. She wasn't stupid not like the other god damned arrogant vampyrs she called her own kind. Those ignorant, disgusting creatures weren't her own kind; they were idiots fighting for no cause. Fighting with the lycens since the dawn of time, she would have rather been human than vampyr but alas cruel fate had bestowed this horrible inheritance upon her. Her friends and her were against this ongoing war; word had somehow been spread about vampyrs who were trying to stop the war. They were calling this group insane, mentally lost; to them something was wrong with their head. Her friends and her played along pretending to hate but it was all sickening.

This lycen stalking her in the dark didn't know what trouble he was in for, she wasn't as weak as she seemed. She wasn't very weak at all, in fact, besides for her frail figure she didn't look very weak either. Her black trench coat wiped out behind her as she spun around another corner. The chains attached to her baggy pants clanked as she walked along the ally ways. Her whole attire was black and loose fitting and she had hidden weapons everywhere. This lycen would be in for a surprise, but he wasn't attacking they'd been in the darkness and he was still just lagging behind her.

She was quickly approaching the guild house, where she was to meet her friends. Damn, she'd better lose this guy quick. She whipped around quickly and sprung at him, pulling a tanto out of her sleeve. He countered her pulling a keibo from his back, blocking her tanto just in the knick of time.

“Quick aren't we,” She commented.

“You don't know who I am do you?” He questioned back.

“Kinda hard to tell when you've never met the person before,” Her eyes sparkled. “I do know you're a lycen though, known since you started following me.”

“A smart one,” He smirked.

She could see his golden eyes sparkling in the dark, “Hey I know who you are! You're Inuyasha! You're the own who's wanted here for killing so many!”

Inuyasha stared into her eyes, which were a counterpart to his own, “Golden eyes among vampyrs are very rare.”

“Well I'm rare. Do you know who I am?” She commented.

“Oh I know very well who you are, Kagome! I've been tracking you for that reason. You're wanted by the lycens for the same reason I wanted here.” Inuyasha grinned.

Kagome sniggered, “You won't beat me.”

“That's not why I came here Kagome. I came to see if it was true,” He put his keibo away as she stared at him confusedly.

“What do you mean?”

“I wanted to see if our situations were the same.” Inuyasha smirked again.

“What do you mean the same?” Kagome's eyebrows furrowed, she still clutched her tanto in her hand.

“I don't kill vampyrs.” He commented.

“I don't kill lycens.” Kagome breathed, by now realizing he wasn't dangerous, slipping the tanto back into her sleeve.

“We're wanted because we are against the war we like people of the other species. It's not allowed and they somehow figured us out but they can't find us.” He smiled deviously.

“So we are more similar than I thought,” Kagome put her hands on her hips. She looked him over, “Love the clothes.”

“Right back at ya,” He laughed, they were dress in similar attire.

“C'mon I got a meeting I'm supposed to be at and `m gonna be late.” She grabbed his arm and dragged him the rest of the way to where she was meeting her friends. Kagome opened the door and let Inuyasha in first.

“Finally here Ka-” The voice cut off.

“Oh my god! Who the hell are you?” Kagome heard Sango scream.

She walked in them and casually put an arm around Inuyasha's shoulder, “I may be smart but I'm sorry to say they're not.” Kagome jerked her thumb towards her friends. The scene before them was rather funny.

Sango was twitching because of Inuyasha's appearance; she also had soda dripping down her face. Miroku was sitting with his head facing toward the ceiling, his lips puckered, and hands up by the valley between his nose and upper lip, there was a pencil resting on his chest as he stared at them unmoving. Rin, who had spit the soda on Sango, had dropped her cup, which was now spilt all over her lap.

Kagome couldn't stand it any longer she burst out laughing, “You guys really need to keep your guard up. You're so fucking lazy! God, just because your inside doesn't mean you're safe.”

“Long time no see, Miroku,” Inuyasha looked to his old friend.

“Inuyasha?! It is you!” Miroku said.

“Where are Shippo and Kirara?!” Kagome yelled.

“Not here?” Sango replied.

“Of course late again.” Kagome sighed. “Well let's start with out them.” She looked at Rin and Sango, “You two need to go get cleaned up.”

They smiled and went into the back room then came back out dry and in fresh clothing. “We can start now,” Sango said.

“So anything new?” Kagome asked then she looked at the man sitting next to her, “Besides Inuyasha.”

“No not really. People are getting more and more curious about us though, by us I mean the vampyrs trying to stop the war.” Miroku commented dryly.

“That's normal, they look forever but never find ya.” Inuyasha stated and everyone looked at him, “What? My family has been trying to stop this war for centuries.”

“Impressive,” Sango commented.

“Centuries you say?” Kagome tapped her chin.

“Yes centuries,” Inuyasha folded his arms.

“You're hired!” Kagome said.

“Hired for what?”

“Well not exactly hired, you're in the group.”

“In the group?”

“Yeah,” She smiled.

Inuyasha shrugged, “My dad might be happy but I'm not sure about Sesshomaru.”

“He supports the war?”

“Well I'm never really sure when it comes to my brother. We seem so different but dad says we're so alike.”

“What do they think about your rep?” Kagome asked.

Inuyasha furrowed his eyebrows, “I don't know really. I've never actually killed a vampyr so it obvious this rep of mine is all made up. My brother as I said I don't know about him he may be proud of or angry with me. I don't know maybe my family knows it's not true. What about your family?”

“Ha my family is hiding somewhere. They don't really support the war that's one reason they have to hide. When my father died my mother's will died with him. By the way my mother was human my father was vampyr. Anyway, she was here in body but not soul, yet she still had my grandfather and younger brother to take care of. I come from a wealthy family, to say the least. We almost lost power but I worked to build it back up after dad died.” Kagome sighed, “The only reason I'm not dead yet is because I have the power I do and because I have some damn good skills.”

Everyone laughed at her and Sango commented dryly, “You have luck not skills.”

“No I have skills, if it was luck a lycen would've killed me by know. Or Inuyasha would've just killed me. Most of the lycens I fight are god damned wimps anyway. I mean honestly, Inuyasha what do you guys take me for?”

“They have their heads so far up their asses it's to hard to think straight at all. Arrogant bastards. I don't know what they think `bout you.” He remarked.

“Yeah well same for our people about you.” Kagome sighed. “But you still gotta be careful out there.”

He snorted, “You've got to be careful everywhere!”

“Do you have to be home anytime soon?” Kagome asked.

“Hmm…I should probably be back there soon, I need to be there in two day, I think that would be good. So I'll leave tomorrow and it'll take me a day to get there.” He said.

“Good enough,” Kagome shrugged.

Just then two more vampyrs burst into the building. “We're here!” They shouted. Both came to screeching halt, staring at Inuyasha. “Who's he?”

“It's about god damned time you two got here! Shit we're pretty much done here!” Kagome exclaimed. “Now Shippo and Kirara this is the 4th time this week you've been late, I don't care what else you have to do, unless you are getting your asses kicked by some stupid lycens you will be here.”

“Ano… Sorry.” Kirara said.

“Yeah… umm again who the hell is he?” Shippo pointed.

Kagome sighed, “He is Inuyasha, he's a lycen against the war. You can get his story later.”

“They look unusual for vampyrs.” Inuyasha commented.

“We thought the same thing when we met them,” Kagome remarked. “Red hair and teal eyes on a vampyr, Cream and black hair with red eyes is bad enough.”

Inuyasha nodded, “So you're Shippo and Kirara. Nice to meet you.” There was a pause in whish Shippo and Kirara sat down. “So, how did all you guys meet anyway?”

“Long story,” Rin said.

“We have time don't we? We were just tell in stories,” Miroku commented.

“Hey I forgot to ask,” Kagome spoke up, “How did you and Miroku meet?”

“What?” Inuyasha asked.

“Well when you came in you said, `Long time no see, Miroku,' So I assumed you knew each other.” Kagome looked at him.

“Oh that, well Miroku's family and mine were old allies before his `rents were killed. We were friends, though it wasn't by any means an easy friendship.” Miroku nodded in agreement to Inuyasha's response. “So now that I answered your question, answer mine.” Inuyasha continued.

Kagome sighed, “Well as you know I come from a wealthy family. Sango was a good friend of mine, I eventually found out she was against the war as well. So Sango met Miroku about 2 years ago, they literally ran into each other. Rin was a friend of Shippo and Kirara's. Shippo and Kirara weren't hard to pick out of the crowd,” Kagome shrugged, “I just kinda found them unique and talked to them. It turned out we all were against the war. So there's a long story short.”

“Simple enough,” Inuyasha said. “Well I must be off it'll take me a while to get home. I'll be back in a day or two though.”

“I'll go with,” Inuyasha gave Kagome a strange look. “What? I don't have anything else to do.”

“And wandering into the territory of powerful lycen is how you use your spare time?” Inuyasha raised an eyebrow.

“I'll go, too,” Rin smiled.

“You people are all a god damned death wish waiting to be fulfilled.” He shook his head. “I swear! You may as well all go!”

“Okay,” Sango smiled.

“If you say so,” Miroku grinned.

Shippo and Kirara just shrugged.

“Are you all suicidal?”

“Isn't your family against the war? They won't kill vampyrs,” Kagome reasoned.

“Yes but it isn't exactly an easy trip there for a vampyr. We may not have neighbors to catch you but we'll get caught on the way there.”

“Will anyone strong catch us?”

“No on that could beat you and me,” Inuyasha looked at Kagome. “But I don't know about them.” He jerked a thumb in the direction of the 5 behind them.

Kagome laughed, “They can do whatever they want but that doesn't change the fact that I'm going with.”

Inuyasha sighed, “Fine, fine, go ahead and come everyone but you,” He pointed at Kagome, “Are the only one I'm mildly responsible for, though you can take care of yourself. The rest of you are on your own just coming along.”

“Why are you responsible for me?” Kagome arched a brow.

“Cause you're the leader and now a valuable ally to me and my family,” He grinned.

“Well they're apart of my group,” She was still confused.

“Yes but with out you there is no group,” He stated and she appeared to understand.

“Okay.”

“Hey,” Rin suddenly said, “you said that your brothers name was Sesshomaru, right?”

“Yeah, why?” Inuyasha glanced at her.

“Just making sure,” She smiled.

Inuyasha's eyebrows furrowed and he turned to Kagome who shrugged so he dismissed it. “Well if we're going we'd better leave now so do whatever you have to do.”

Kagome just walked over and stood beside Inuyasha while Sango, Miroku, Shippo, Kirara and Rin ran around turning off lights and locking up the building.

“Will we need provisions?” Kirara asked.

“One or two days of traveling,” Kagome said.

“Not much then,” Shippo followed Kirara into another room.

When the whole group was finally gathered in front of the building. Inuyasha spoke, “Now we'll be crossing lycen territory for at most a day and a half, be prepared for anything! If a lycen catches us they most likely kill you and turn Kagome in for the reward. I'll be considered at traitor and no matter how powerful my family is I won't get out of it.”

“Okay, we get it,” Kagome said impatiently, “And if we get caught standing here just talking to you in vampyr territory, we'll all be killed! Get it?”

Inuyasha shrugged and glided toward the shadows with Kagome by his side. Everyone followed them gracefully. They stayed in the darkness until they got out of the city, even in the forest the did there best to go unnoticed, taking to the trees instead of staying on the ground.

~

By daybreak, they had stopped for a brief rest. Most vampyrs and lycens were no longer on the roads, the busy time for them being the night. The group would, however, run into more humans if they started traveling the roads, so they stuck to the woods.

“Any one hungry?” Miroku asked handing Sango a piece of fruit.

“Me,” Kagome raised a hand catching the apple he had thrown at her and taking a bite out of it, her fangs leaving scars in the fruits flesh.

“Throw me an apple, too,” Inuyasha said.

“Who else wants something?” Sango reached into the pack tossing Shippo and Kirara an orange each.

“Thanx, Sango,” Both responded.

“Pass me the banana,” Rin grinned.

Everyone was dressed in black still, despite the blazing sun. They quickly finished off the snack and left. Inuyasha decided it was time for a run and morphed into a wolf, scampering off. Kagome stared after him for a brief second, then jumped into the air and in a flash was a bat. She flew after him and when she caught up with him, she landed at the base of his neck, clutching tightly to his fur. A fox and a two-tailed feline trotted past them and Inuyasha tried to look over his shoulder and Kagome.

“I told you they were weird for vampyrs.” She said.

“That's really Shippo and Kirara?”

“YUP!” The two animals chorused.

“When they told me that they morphed into a fox and a cat instead of a bat or something, they had a hard time convincing me again that they were actually vampyrs.”

“We had a hell of a time,” Kirara mewed.

Three bats swooped down and dove toward the animals on the ground.

“See the other people in my group are more normal but I was just glad they could all change into anything at all. Most vampyrs can't anymore.” Kagome said.

“They're all just careless bastards who look at the war as entertainment. They don't even care if their own kind die in it.” Miroku spat out.

~

It was nearing dusk and they had almost reached Inuyasha's house and were getting into more dangerous territories. They had already met up with some lycen but they weren't any threat and had quickly been beaten. They were about a half hour from Inuyasha's place at the moment.

“YOU!” A voice yelled from somewhere in front of them.

“Shit,” Inuyasha muttered. “Kagome get off!”

“Why?” She questioned.

“Just do it!” He stopped dead in his tracks.

“No!” She stated defiantly.

“Kagome get off! Kouga you'll hurt someone!” He yelled toward an approaching figure.

“No I'm not getting off!” She said.

“You'll get hurt!” He replied, “Kouga this isn't funny anymore. I'm just coming home I know I left but this isn't funny. You'll hurt Kagome!”

“Who the hell is Kagome?” The growing figure asked.

“Kagome get-” He was cut short as Kouga pounced and he dodged trying to protect Kagome, letting out a yelp as he took the blow.

Kagome flew back and hit a tree falling to the ground with a small thud. She transformed back to her humanoid form and rubbed the back of her head. “Ow,” She muttered.

She looked at the two wolves fighting; walking over to them she grabbed both by the back of the neck. Inuyasha immediately went slack but Kouga thrashed around a bit before realizing he was safe when seeing Inuyasha was calm. Though he did stop struggling he had already put a nice gash in Kagome's arm. She just continued to stand there not noticing it.

“Done?” She asked. Both wolves nodded. She dropped them and both changed into their humanoid forms. “Now explain.”

“Kouga does this every time I leave and go to vampyr territories without him.” Inuyasha chuckled, “We're really friends though.”

Kouga nodded, “Oh um sorry about the arm.”

Inuyasha glanced at the gash and sucked in a breath, “Kagome sit down!”

Kagome furrowed her eyebrows and looked at the wound for the first time, “Oh it doesn't hurt, really. It's fine.” She said.

“Sit down!” Inuyasha commanded pushing her down to the ground. He wrapped a hand around her wrist and part of the wound. Kagome just stared at him as he did this. “Hey give me that water Miroku”

Miroku, who had changed from a bat, handed Inuyasha the water. Inuyasha poured the water over the length of the wound, following the stream with his hand. He wiped the blood on his shirt and stood up.

Kagome looked down at her healed arm and gasped, “How'd you do that?”

“Healing powers,” He commented.

“I didn't know lycens could do that! You've got to teach me!” She exclaimed.

“Maybe later, right now I should get a new shirt. Wasn't even thinking.” He laughed.

“That's you're fault not mine!” Kagome said.

“I know!” He smiled at her. “Come on we're not far and I want you to meet my parents they may be able to help you. I don't think there have ever been vampyr and lycen allies.” He smiled.

“Who knows?” Kagome grinned back.

“Hey Kouga where's Ayame?” Inuyasha looked at the group following them.

“At your place,” Kouga replied.

“Well then lets get there!”

“Who's Ayame?” Kagome asked.

“My mate,” Kouga stated proudly.

“Oh, how come she's at Inuyasha's house?”

“Cause I was there looking for Inuyasha,” Kouga shrugged.

“Who told you he left?” Sango jumped into the conversation.

“Sesshomaru, he told me where you went, too. Why do you always go without me?” Kouga turned to Inuyasha.

“Because you'd just get in my way,” Inuyasha responded blandly.

“Would not!” Kouga exclaimed.

Inuyasha sighed, “It really doesn't matter. You got to meet vampyrs.”

“Whatever,” Kouga crossed his arms over his chest.

“We're here!” Inuyasha yelled.

All the vampyrs glanced up, everyone but Kagome gapped.

“That's your house?” Sango asked.

Inuyasha nodded, “There's the whole estate, not just the house.”

Kagome laughed, “You guys act like you've never seen my estates. Its just as big.”

“Well shall we,” Inuyasha gestured toward the house and they all headed in its direction.
----------------------
TDTBR- Well that's it. Some of you guys might be thinking `What the hell?!' About this whole chapter. Inuyasha attacks Kagome at the beginning and at the end Inuyasha's taking her whole group to his house and they are allies. Who knows maybe you figured it out. I suppose its just the fact that they found out that their situations were the same and they became instant friends.
Kagome- Mmhm
TDTBR- I also wanted to say that everyone looks pretty much the same. Especially the youkai they look like they do in the series except they aren't youkai they are lycen or vampyr. Kagome, Sango and Miroku look the same except with claws fangs and the pointy ears. Even though Kagome is only half vampyr she looks full vampyr. Inuyasha looks exactly the same, being half lycen.
Kagome- `tweaks Inuyasha's ears'
Inuyasha- Will you stop?
TDTBR- Anyway, I've modified the classic monsters vampyr (vampire) and lycen (werewolf) making it my `own' I guess. I suppose I just changed what I didn't like about the monsters. Both species have more freedom in their abilities. I explain here.
lycen- Werewolf, of course, no full moon thing they are creatures of the dark and they can transform at will they have 3 forms humanish (like a youkai with a humanoid form in this story), the ugly wolfish thing that stands on two legs and a dogish form, which can talk.
Vampyr- I changed the spelling because I can and I made the characteristics of a vampyr different so it's not a vampire it's a vampyr. Anyway no sunlight thing, they can be in light though they are creatures of the dark (are you beginning to understand the title?) they can be in sunlight and no stupid garlic, cross, or blood sucking thing. Not all vampyrs can change into bats some can others can't. They have some other powers that I gave them but those will be made known in the story.
Now normally humans don't get along with either of these monsters but in this particular story humans get along with both and the monsters don't get along, get my point?
Inuyasha- Is that it?
Miroku- Sango's falling asleep.
TDTBR- `glares' Yes that's it this chap is done! Please review and I will decide weather to continue this or not.
