InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ Crimson Blood and innocent Tears ❯ crimson blood and innocent tears ( Chapter 1 )
[ P - Pre-Teen ]
Crimson Blood and Innocent TearsCrimson blood, torn skin... 'Is this how it's all to end? If so, I take my opponent with me... I will never give up' A mighty dragon has his ivory fangs sunk deep into a beautiful woman's pale flesh, causing gasps of pain and pants as she tries to stay alive, to fight the darkness blurring her sight.
A small trail of blood trickles out of the corner of her mouth, drops of blood falling to the cold ground below, only to mix with the blood of earlier slayn demons. The woman closed her eyes and took a deep breath, concentrating on living. Blood pured freely from a wound in her side, staining the ground below her even further.
This dragon is merely the result of the fusing of many demons, hell bent on the death of this woman who fought so valiantly to stay alive. The maiden's hair covers her face, contorted in pain and agony. Her eyes seem glazed over as though her soul were locked in another plane of dimension.
"I won't give up... No matter what form of hell you put me through..." She breathed raggedly, a tear falling down her cheek as she panted. The dragon shook her in his massive jaw, a deep growling resounding off the cave walls. She was sure she could feel her bones crushing under the pressure of the rows of teeth, snapping like twigs. The dragon's teeth were no longer ivory, but crimson, stained red with the blood of a pure woman.
Her forehead gleamed sweat, as her soul became restless and a descision was made. Light flared around her as she screamed out against the pain. The dragon's eyes widened as teh woman's body burned in his mouth, searing his flesh and causing a flow of blood from his jaw. She could feel something forming inside her, and her mind screamed out violently, even though she knew the pain was nescessary if her plan was to work.
The newly formed object pressed painfully against her broken and fragmented ribs, pulsing and radiating pure energy. It shot foreward, as it did so, the woman sealed her soul into it, taking with her also the soul of the dragon, both souls doomed to fight a battle until the day the fate of the orb formed from the young womans soul itself was sealed, be it for good, or be it for evil.
The maiden drifted silently, the landscape around her barren of anything, but among the landscape, a ominous form loomed out of the shadows, shooting towards the floating woman. She opened her eye and grimaced, knowing the choice she had made would affect generations to come. Readying herself, she pulled an arrow, and shot it, implanting it in the dragons head. It cried out in pain and writhed away, slunking into the shadows to ready for another assualt. The woman panted, blood still falling from her wounds. "I will fight you to the death, I am a priestess, creator of the Shikon No Tama, I am MIDORIKO!"
Kagome shot foreward in her sleeping bag, gasping for air. Her sides where soaked in sweat and her raven hair clung to her face. Inuyasha jumped down and looked her in the face. "What's up?" He asked, his voice revealing concern he showed in certain situations, this being one of them. Kagome frowned, then smiled. "Just had a nightmare, one I'm going to end..." Silently Kagome swore to herself, 'I will put an end to your nightmare, and allow you to rest, I swear it, Midoriko.' Kagome wiped away a tear, and looked towards the night sky, knowing Midoriko would be free soon.
